What has been your personal experience with refilled ink jet and laser toner cartridges? Check all that apply.

Refilling is great! Cartridges are only rated for about 4-5 refills though before quality degenerates considerably.
Best place to get supplies IMO is http://www.inksupply.com/

I used one of those kits they sell at Wal-Mart for like $30 and it was junk! The ink blobbed, etc. Everyone I know who has used ink refill kits has had bad results.

I use them for my HP Deskjet 932C, although refilling the color ones doesn't work so well. The black one works fine, just need to wait for the pressures to equalize and all that (so ink isn't oozing out as it sits in your printer). Picked up a refill kit for $15 from Target, should get close to 8 refills from it, probably buy 1 new cartridge after about 4 refills.

We seem to have a response ratio on this poll of about 6 to one, i.e., 75 viewers, 13 responses. For you non-responders, did I omit an answer category that applied to you? Note there is the option at the bottom to say you've never used refills...
Wow...it was tiresome selecting all the checkboxes....don't we need a "Select All" button?

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:I'll make a shorter poll next time, thanks! The option " I like refilled cartridges so much that's all I use now" is kind of like that, but you have to read to the end to see it.

I've never used refilled inkjet and probably won't. I've heard too many stories of people wasting money and not getting what they thought they were and not getting good results.
However, I stay away from injets as much as possible anyway.
I have used LOTS of refilled toner cartridges (business accounts) and it seems that all the refill companies start you out with great refills, but once your account is a little mature, they start sending you junk mixed in with the good ones so if you're not aware, you will get any of the following and may or may not realize it:
1. A low refill of toner. (Only filling to 1/4 capacity)
2. Not resurfacing or replacing rollers.
3. Lower quality toner.
4. Broken Toner casing pieces.
So I try to buy from a reputable alternative for OEM's or from the OEM themselves rather than using refills.

Toner refils rock the house! Only thing is they are absurdely messy and toner gets all over the house. Toner covers the walls, the ceiling, the floor, gets on my arms, my face, my feet, my dog, my cat, my parakeet, the water in my goldfish bowl turns black, my computer screen gets tinted...
