I've been using SD for a while now and just have a suggestion: Oftentimes the Hot Deals Forum have posts for hard-to-get items in stock (i.e. Wii, Guitar Hero, DDR, etc.), but are they really "hot deals"? While these items are definitely of interest to a large community, it is my impression that the "Hot Deals" forum should be a source of great deals -- not item availability. That said, I don't have a problem with availability posts, except that they take space from the main pages of the Hot Deals forum.
Thoughts on this? ^_^

Welcome to SD! I think this sounds like a great idea!
But I think there are already forums where these sorts of things should be. Wii availability for example should be in the gamer lounge. Most other stuff should probably be in the deal talk forum.
The problem is that people keep posting them over and over and over in the hot deals forum. I don't know that having a forum specifically for this really solves the problem.

Availability, price, demand - any of those alone can make something a deal.
Great price = deal
High demand = deal
Availability of a scarce product = deal
Imagine that Bob wants a product in scarce supply. He would have to monitor not only the Hot Deals section but the Product Availability section as well. Someone may post a great price in Hot Deals, so if he just watched Product Availability, he might miss it.
The search and alert functions should take minimize the need to segregate deals out into smaller categories.
