Now, they have started playing with their 'free' options. The 'free' upgrade from 2 to 3 GB memmory and bluetooth options are taken away and now offering an upgrade to 160GB hard disk and lightscribe writer!

They come on the average of once per month with the last one being April 11th. It is due very very soon IMHO. They've just changed the prices on all the memory upgrades for the 2700, 6700 and 9700 models which tells me it's almost that time!!! Remember the good codes don't last long.

Right now the only memory that's included is 1GB, at least on the 2700 and 6700. Just remember when configuring your unit a 4GB upgrade is only 70 bucks if you upgrade it yourself.

Seems the $500 off days are over. BTW, I'm convinced after much research that the battery life will far outweigh the processing benefits of the higher speed processor. You can only get a 6-cell battery for it. SOO, stick to the p8400 or P8600 @ 25Watts vs 35W for the T9xxx series. You simply don't get much for the speed and will spend a lot more in wattage than you gain in speed, not to mention they cost more.

The built-in TV tuner is a waste with a too short antenna. Buy one one like this:
