I mean, I'm 28 years old. I should not be in the position of supporting my mother at this age (considering she just turned 52 last month). Just because DH and I live comfortably does not give her the right to expect money every time she asks me. She knows I won't say no! At first it was $20 here, $50 there. Now, 3 years later - it's $50-100 every month for one reason or another, not to mention I pay for her cell phone every month. And now, a broken car that has to be fixed or else she can't get to and from work.

I mean, really? I feel bad that I'm so angry. Like it's my job to take care of my mom because she did "such a great job" with me all those years growing up. But that's not the case. And I can't just tell her no.

Some books are unavoidable. Prime example is lab manuals. They're usually written by the professor or are specific to this school. Another one is most of our history classes, the textbooks differ from professor to professor and change each year or each semester.

1) Starbucks has brought back the Pumpkin Spice latte, effective this morning. :ranting: I have lost 14lbs in the last month and a half, and by Halloween I'll have gained every single one of them back.

2) I put mascara on this morning. I wanted to look pretty. I wear very little make-up on a daily basis, and mascara is a Blue Moon kinda thing. Halfway to work, Carrie Underwood's "Mama's Song" comes on the radio. I haven't heard it yet, and I love Carrie Underwood, so I listen closely to the lyrics. I am full-on crying by the first chorus, mascara running down my cheeks. Thank you Lord for playing a song I can cry to this morning. :ranting:

Farking AT&T. Last week I submitted an order to get rid of my second landline and move my DSL service to my remaining line. They scheduled a tech to come out today. I asked to verify they wouldn't shutdown my old DSL service until my new service started. They said they would make sure my service wasn't interrupted. She's not in the hospital!! She has always been outpatient. She had it first subdermally but that's healing now. That one was by far the worst one. It was in her groin area and it was so swollen and painful she couldn't even sit or walk. All she could do was kneel or lay down. They've lanced and drained that one 2 or 3 times and she had tubing put in for about a week so it could drain instead of closing up and swelling again. The one on her tummy has been drained probably 3 or 4 times at the dr's office. Now she has a spot on her chin and one on her back.

I think that they're just giving her the bare minimum treatment because she's on Medicaid. It pays less. :annoyed:

I got gas Wednesday at 4:30pm at 2.649 a gallon. Thursday it jumped to 2.859. It dropped to 2.799 this morning when I went to work. I left work shortly after noon today and it had jumped to 2.999.
