A quick glance at our calendars confirms that it's still January, and an extended glance at 1UP's reveal of Soul Calibur IV's secret characters does nothing to evaporate the reigning feeling of utter confusion. The lineup of saucer-eyed assassins, scantily clad combatants and bizarre pain fetishists in Namco's anticipated fighter is set to be joined by the Sith's darkest lord and the Force's most diminutive master. Our little green friend can almost manage to fit in to Soul Calibur's ye olde fantasy trappings, but poor ol' Vader appears to have gotten lost and disoriented after leaping over some sharks on his space jet ski.

Even better news can be found in 1UP's suspicion that even more Star Wars characters will waltz into Calibur's cantina, possibly via downloadable content. An interesting idea, but we reckon you'd save money by simply buying a copy of Masters of Teräs Käsi off eBay.

Yeah, supposedly Darth Vader is exclusive to the PS3 version and Yoda is exclusive to the 360 version. People are hoping the other guy will at least be available as a paid download. I was thinking about this development...Star Wars on Soul Calibur...and I think Star Wars is played out. If they want to throw in random characters into the Soul Calibur storyline (and they obviously don't care how ridiculous Soul Calibur's storyline gets) the guy they should throw in is Hannibal Lecter. I would definitely buy this nutty game if Hannibal Lecter could fight Voldo.

I was pretty bum when I found out Ultimate Alliance release add-on only for Xbox 360 and they charge them for it. No add on for PC :(

Which remind me ....what was the racing game that was free...but you practically have to pay for everything else, cars and race track.

Yeah, microtransactions suck, but it might happen anyway. Spiderman 3 Collector's Edition had the exclusive New Goblin character. After a while they released him as a microtransaction add-on for people with the regular Spiderman 3.

The racing game was Gran Turismo HD, but they nixed the game and idea after there was too much bad press about it.

Soulcalibur IV adds one more character to the roster with news that Darth Vader's apprentice will make an appearance in the game.
