no longer receiving pm popups in firefox. haven't tested ie. it's been this way for several days, and i haven't changed my extensions or anything like that.

What version? I am in v2.0.0.11 and it still works.

I would clear your cookies + cache (Press CTRL+SHIFT+Del), then restart the browser, log back onto SD, and try again...

Also, make sure you don't have that option disabled in you User CP

Hi, thank you for your replies. In Firefox I logged out and then cleared all *.slickdeals.net cookies. I then logged back in, but I don't see a popup ( I sent myself a PM, currently unread ). I disabled and then re-enabled "Show New Private Message Notification Pop-up." I also tried IE7, and cleared cache as well. I have javascript enabled in both browsers.

I probably need to wait until someone sends me a PM.

working now

seems to come and go. today i had the same problem, no messagebox/popup. i did notice i had messages so i clicked the private messages link and of course was able to view them.

EDIT: working 11pm EST

Let us know if this reoccurs. Could be an issue where for example you're browsing SD, and the page doesnt fully load (ie the javascript that makes that popup) but you already clicked a link and moved somewhere else... this would make the system believe that you simply dismissed the alert.
