I just edited the entire post for easier reading.
I would like to set up deal alerts so that if a thread of a certain category reaches a certain rating, I would be notified. This way I can set up deal alerts for "apparel" and "2.5 thumbs up" or "phone" and "2 thumbs up." I say this because not all apparel threads have the word "apparel" or "clothes" in the original post....thus I would not be notified of the deal. Also I say this because a while ago, I was interested in buying some 5300 RAM (tech category). But I also got a whole ton of useless computer deals (system category) in my inbox.
So like in deal alerts, if somebody selects Hot deals, they should also be able to select a certain category (or all, which would be the same as right now). Do you guys think this could be done?
(It looks like you can filter by category, but when I click the category icons using Opera, the icons do not work. In fact when I hoever my mouse over the icon, I don't see anything that would lead me to believe it's a link. Is this a browser issue?)
I hope you find my suggestion to be useful.
My question about slickdeals links is that sometimes it redirects and before I get to the intended site, my Kaspersky blocks it so that it doesn't go through. Like if I click the circuit city jvc in ear headphones link, I would get this in my browser
http://clickserve.cc-dt.com/link/tplclick?mid=sduidp0t0&lid=41000000013459594&pubid=21000000000001971&redirect=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.circuitcity.com%2Fssm%2FJVC-Marshmallow-Soft-Inner-Ear-Headphones-HAFX33B%2Fsem%2Frpsm%2Foid%2F163598%2Frpem%2Fccd%2FproductDetail.do%3Flinkid%3Dj13459594k1971%26affiliateid%3Dk1971%26mid%3Dsduidp0t720715
I also see qksrv.net/ (stuff)
and so I would have to go to the original page, copy the link location, remove the stuff that goes like http://slickdeals.net/?sduid=25068&t=720715&u2=, and finally be able to go to the normal circuitcity.com page. I've been doing this for about half a year (since I got Kaspersky) and I know I could probably just loosen up my restrictions (i prefer not to), but I would just like to know...what's up with the clickserve.cc-dt and qksrv.net links?
