We have to admit that this peripheral by MadCatz looks like a winner. It reminds us a lot of Xbox 360's chatpad -- this device plugs into the PS3 controller and allows you to type at a whim. Supposedly, the device was released all the way back in May, but it seemingly has fallen out of our grasp.

This seems rather ingenious, but user reviews have been negative for one key reason -- apparently, it doesn't work with PS2 games. Final Fantasy XI fans were quite disappointed. But, those of you that enjoy using the web browser and the XMB messaging system may find this $30 peripheral a neat addition to your gadgets collection. See a video, after the cut.

I was wondering why you don't like this. Isn't it a lot better than using a full size keyboard? The Sony one that's coming out shortly looks just like this one too.

I like the PS one better since it's more compact and I wonder if this has the touch thing.

It did, but I figured if the OP didn't answer, I'd get some useful answers from other people. As far as I know, this is still the only one on the market like this (until Sony releases theirs later this month), so it's still relevant. And how was I to know the OP was banned? the OP wasn't banned, the guy you replied to has been banned for many months. PRO TIP: if it says "permanently banned" under their username, they are likely to be banned. :lol:
