What is The Drugstore and Grocery Store B&M Deals & Discussion Forum?
The purpose of the Drugstore and Grocery Store B&M Deals & Discussion Forum is to provide a community where people can talk about getting the best deals at the three largest drugstore chains in the USA, Walmart, Target, and the many regional grocery stores across the nation.
Many people shop these drugstores and grocery stores because they often feature deals and offers that can have you getting many items or free, or even have them "pay" you to buy the product. This can help to reduce your "needs" bill every month by at least 50%!
Drugstore Guidelines
Before posting, read the FAQ for the drugstore you are interested in (CVS (http://slickdeals.net/forums/showthread.php?sduid=5936&t=676935), Walgreens (http://slickdeals.net/forums/showthread.php?sduid=5936&t=727956), Rite-Aid (http://slickdeals.net/forums/showthread.php?sduid=5936&t=727988))
It is appropriate to start a new thread when:
You are the first to post the new weekly or monthly ad, OR
If you have a deal that IS NOT part of the weekly ad (for example, a hidden ECB or RR deal).
It is not appropriate to start a new thread when:
You want to highlight a deal that is part of an ad for which there is already a discussion, OR
You want to ask a question about a specific deal.
Please ask in the weekly and/or monthly thread that contains the deal you have a question for. This helps to keep the site organized.
Grocery Store Guidelines
Go to the list of grocery store threads (http://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=10586719#anchgrocery), find the appropriate store and region, and enter the thread
The threads are organized by region because grocery store deals arey typically regional.
Read and follow the guidelines for that particular thread.
It is appropriate to start a new thread:
If and only if there is not already a "master thread" for your grocery store.
You should use the "grocery" icon.
You should be willing to keep up with the weekly and monthly ads for the store, or we will change the OP to someone more active.
It is not appropriate to start a new thread when:
There is already a "master thread" for the grocery store. If you have a new deal for a store that already has a master thread, post the new deal in there.
Question Guidelines
Make sure that you "personal sticky" the question and use the question icon.
Mods will lock the thread once the mods have decided that you have received a sufficient answer.
General Guidelines
A good post is one that helps other users by:
explaining how to go through with a deal ("product x works in acquiring ECB y")
provides details to help evaluate a deal ("product x is regularly priced at $y")
confirms that a deal works in your area, or that it is YMMV
directs users to the appropriate FAQ to find answers to common questions
A bad post is one that:
Includes an attachment of a CVS coupon (.pdf, .doc, etc.)
Advocates any type of dishonest behavior, including (but not limited to) fraud. For example, inappropriate purchasing and returning, using coupons to buy gift cards, etc.
Discusses (or even hints at) bad traders.
Begs for a coupon
Off Topic posts will be moved to the BS thread.
