If you register here, they'll send you a coupon via email or postal mail for 10% off any purchase (discount good on purchases up to $5000 (maximum discount $500)). My coupon took three days to arrive via email. (*Update*: Second coupon [different email used] came today (8-19)...that one took 5 days via email.)

Some Tips
(1) If you're in a pinch, and you need a Lowes 10% coupon right away, pick one (or a couple) up off of eBay using a Buy-It-Now. A great many of the eBay Lowes coupon sellers provide instant email delivery (right after you pay via PayPal). I've bought numerous of the Lowes coupons and usually pay around $5.00 for a pair. Remember that each Lowes coupon has a unique serial number and can only be used one time at any Lowes.

(2) When you do get a Lowes 10% coupon, remember to print off a few of them. The coupon will only be valid one-time at any Lowes, but you can use them unlimited times at Home Depot (at least before the coupon expiration date).

I always use 20% off coupons at home depot. I also looked for cheaper way to buy gift cards to combine savings. I thought of buying HD gift cards on eBay but I got scared paying couple hundred dollars on a gift card on eBay. AARP site shows 4% discount right now but it is good to know. Repped.

I too could only find a 4% discount on HD giftcards on the AARP site. Can you verify that your 7% discount is still available? If so, what is the URL?

I agree this is good to know, and yes it has been around for a long time. But why is this on the front page?? If it made it to the front page I expected there to be a coupon .pdf or image or something.

regarding this not being eligible on installation - it's a YMMV. I used one of these a few years ago on installation on kitchen countertops, and they took the 10% right off the top of the full installed price.

No, you should be able to use this coupon for special orders too... But I don't think they will let you come back in for a price adjustment like this. You'd probably have to order from scratch, unless you got an especially nice customer svc person.

Dude! That was you? I was sitting there minding my own business, smoking a little hemp rope while the wife looked around for something to waste more money on (like we really NEED a faucet in both the bathroom AND the kitchen...) when all of the sudden; CRASH, BANG! Some drunk tumbles into the display I'm hiding behind, knocks the whole thing over onto of me and the smoldering rope end nearly catches my pants on fire (I was wearing my old parachute pants from '83 for reasons too complex to go into right now) totally harshing my mellow. I was barely able to get free of that entanglement before some over-caffeinated store manager puffed up on a false sense of meaningful authority decended on the whole debacle.
Meanwhile the unattended wife managed to charge THREE faucets, TWO towel holders and a whole cartload of defective wall paper that only comes down from the ceiling about 6 inches...

i work at Lowes and just so you guys know you dont need a coupon to get 10% off, ask ANY associate in the store for 10% off and you'll get it. 10% isn't a big deal for Lowes to hand out since that is the same as the employee discount. Also, I don't think discounts are good for special orders - that's an entirely different thing and is difficult to discount - unless you work for them ;)

I got my coupon in about 3 days. I have needed an extension ladder for some time, and had been waiting for them to go on sale at Home Depot. Well they now have a 10% off ladder sale going on. I used my 10% Lowe's coupon with the 10% ladder discount promotion to save 20%!

I used my 3rd one today at Home Depot. In none of the 3 instances have they ever read the coupon more than to see the 10% off, as far as I could tell. Each time they did have to have a manager come punch in a code though, to allow the discount. The manager didn't look at the coupon at all though. It's worth a try -- you might be OK.

Well it's worth a shot. I also seen some 20% off Home Depot coupons on eBay and my Lowe's accepts competitors coupons. Might give that a shot first. If anyone has one of these 20% coupons let me know.

I buy LOTS of ladders from Lowes for the roofing hoist I build. About a year ago they were $225 but now they are $50 higher... BUT I saved the old recipt and always get a pricematch.

When I spend over a couple hundred doallars I just ask for he mananager and ask him/her for a 10% discount on the ENTIREE order and they always ok it. That pays taxes.

DH had one of those spend $299 or more and pay no interest for a year on his Lowe's card coupons that expires tommorow/Monday...so silly me, I was trying to find a % coupon to use with it to buy the construction materials he needs for an upcoming project.....duh!!! It SHOULD be off the entire purchase. I've used them at lowes on purchases with ~10 items....it automatically takes 10% off each item.

No, they won't. You can try, but I'd say you have maybe a 5% chance of success, if that.

We just had a new Menards open near me - Grand Opening this weekend. I called and asked if they accepted competitor coupons and they said yes. I will be trying it later today on a mower.

I tried to use it last night at Menard's and they told me that they only accept coupons on regular priced merchandise and that they don't accept and coupons from the internet...only from mailings, newspapers, etc.

I passed on the appliance and am going to try another store tomorrow to see if it will work.

I've done that three times. Try telling them you forgot the coupon and when you bought your items the cashier said just come back the next day with your receipt and coupon. That is exactly what happened to me, and they gave me the 10% back. I even gave them like 5 receipts once to get the 10% back on. Hope this helps!

It's funny... If you look back a few posts, you will see that I posted a PDF of an actual Lowe's coupon, and numerous people used it w/ success. And then I discussed and referred to this coupon probably a dozen times. I also used it myself 5-6 times. So I posted one, and I like to think that I'm a pretty decent person. Hmmm. :scratchh:

I know the Lowe's moving coupons states that it does not included John Deere, but I just used a 10% Home Depot coupon on a John Deere LA120 mower, and I also qualify for a $150 rebate. (ended yesterday)

Hey guys... I got SHOT DOWN trying to use a printed competitor's coupon at my local Home Depot. Anyone know where I can find their coupon policy? I want to complain but not sure if it will do any good. Maybe my HD just sucks.


NM, I just called their 800 to complain and they put with another manager their that says the opposite of what the other manager said, and I can use printed coupons as long as the terms are stated on the coupon and it's for instore. I will try again later on and see how it goes.

I got shut down using a valid 10% movers coupon at Lowes today because I wanted to use it on clearance items -- over $200 of them -- cashier told me can't do because the coupon says not valid with any other discount or offer. She said discount was the clearance price. I have never been told that before and I've used these for clearance items in over 7 different Lowes stores -- manager even agreed with her. I just signed up for another coupon, with a different email address. I will make another PDF when I get it, and post it here. In the past, it has not taken more than 2 days to receive the email from them, so I expect it to come soon.

I purchased a Bosch range and hood, I was able to get 10% off on everything from delivery to the extended warranty. I had a 10% Home Depot coupon and the manager gave us the discount and even let us keep the Home Depot coupon for future use. I was able to still qualify for the delivery rebate and the $150 gift card (comes via mail). I think it all depends on who is on that day and what kind of day they have had.

If you have ever signed up for the Lowe's coupon once with an e-mail address, a new coupon will never ship to that same e-mail address again. Open a new yahoo account and try again. I'll bet you get the 10% coupon.

I received today my email from Lowes and applied that to a purchase already done at HD. CSR did a return/rebuy without the actual item. This was great, ceiling fans are 20% off and they took the 10% from Lowes' coupon. Great combination :)

each time I shop at Lowe's (about three times a week) I will I print out a new copy of this 10% off coupon and it has worked every time ! The coupon's bar code does not scan for some reason or another but this has never been a problem. The one checker will call the head checker in charge over to approve the coupon and ~ voilà ~ money saved!
I try to use different checkers each time just for good measure but I don't go out of my way or anything.

I printed my Lowes coupon today and tried to use it at my local HD to combine the savings with the Behr paint MIR. They wouldn't allow the coupon because it was printed from the internet. I told the store that i did both websites and lowes was the first coupon i received.

I then left and traveled 15 minutes to another HD and asked again before i started to shop. I was told to go to the head cashier, and so i again plea my story. Luckly she was like no problem and she signed the coupon to be used because she was leaving as her shift was over.

I purchased 2 -5gal and 10 - 1 gal of behr paint and supplies and saved 52 bucks with the 10% off coupon not including the $110 MIR for Behr.

I used the coupon @ Home Depot for kitchen cabinets, and that little piece of paper saved me $500! All you have to do is tell them that you're pricing your items at Lowes and HD, and the Manager will always take it instead of letting you walk out. the HD in NJ that i went to rejected my lowe's coupon printout, saying that there have been coupon scams so they no longer accept any online print outs of HD or competitor coupons. they told me they only honor official mailings. it was such a PITA. i printed the lowe's coupon and used it at lowe's, but when it asked if the coupon printed, i said no and apparently i should be getting a mailing of the same coupon in a few weeks. i can use the mailing at HD, if all goes well and it care to get anything from there....

btw, i tried asking for the 10% lowe's discount when i was at the store and i was shot down by 3 people. maybe it's just the NJ stores, but it didn't work and i ended up shelling out the full 300$ on my purchase. :-/

If I remember correctly, they are the same coupon (same UPC code)... So you'd only be able to use it once at Lowe's.

Yeah, it's definitely YMMV, though typically, if you talk to the manager, they will do it. My store says "we accept all competitor coupons" right on the front door, and the first time I tried to use the coupon they started to hassle me... Officially there are no 20% off Lowe's coupons, the coupons ppl are selling on eBay are 20% off Home Depot & Hechinger (employee / contractor) coupons, which can be used at certain B&M Lowe's.

Here's what I hope will become an awesome deal. My total bill for 687 sq feet of carpet installed is $2020. 460 is for installation.

CARPETONE is running a special of $95 for carpet installaiton of an entire house.
I called lowes and they said they would accept carpet ones discount.

I would beg to differ. If you look at the header at the top on the sign-up screen you will see that you get your coupon immediately. No waiting for a month. An if you look at a couple of the post people have been printing coupons out.

If it was the first time you signed up, you should get a coupon via email within a week. Then you'll get the same coupon via snail mail later on.

I'm having the same problem. The top of the sign up page says I'll get a printable program and when I register, I don't get option to print anything. I've tried with several email addresses and different computers and I get nothing. I even tried deleting my cookies, thinking that would solve the problem; it didn't. I just used my Lowes coupon at Home Depot. I purchased the new ryobi Lithium kit for 259.99. They couldnt figure out how to enter the coupon. so they did it as a price match of 233.00 Which then there computer took 10% off which made the price 209.00. I love Home Depot.

Here is one i got today via e-mail. i used one from here and it worked Thank you guys very much.

i work at Lowes and just so you guys know you dont need a coupon to get 10% off, ask ANY associate in the store for 10% off and you'll get it. 10% isn't a big deal for Lowes to hand out since that is the same as the employee discount. Also, I don't think discounts are good for special orders - that's an entirely different thing and is difficult to discount - unless you work for them ;)

So save yourself the trouble with getting the coupons and just go to the store.

It cracks me up when the HD employees try and scan it...when it says LOWES right on the coupon. They'll mindlessly stand there and keep trying to scan, scan, scan. :confused: Then they call the manager. When he comes over, rather than the manager teaching the inept employee what buttons to push for competitor coupons, he stands in front of the cashier, does it himself, then walks away. So, rather than being frustrated with the cashier, now I know it's the supervisors fault. :nod:
