Question:
How long do items take to mail?

Answer:
Normally, a package will take from 2 to 6 weeks to arrive.
The exact time depends on anything from your location to weather conditions, so please be patient!
If you think it's taken way too long for a package to arrive, please go to our Contact page and ask us to verify that your package is on its way.
Make sure you select the "Shipping" button so your question gets answered as quickly as possible.

what I mean by "actual" is WRinsders is owned by Weekly Reader and I have not connected Scarborough Research. Portions © 2007 Quantafire, Inc. to them (yet)

but I agree...they are so much alike that they must be connected somewhere.

I still doubt that they will transfer points over,
(unless at some point we find they ARE connected and they "graduate" members from WRinsiders to Say Nation!, including points...
that would be sweet!!)

Thanks, I've registered and completed all 8 surveys on the main page...I've only got 7600 points.

Does anyone find it discouraging/suspicious that the people with the most points on the left side of the page only have 20,000 or so, and that in the prize catalog all of the prizes are above 20,000 (with the exception of a few calendars for about 15,000 points)? Seems like they never update/it's very difficult to amass any substantial # of points.

This is how WRinsiders began, too...with all the surveys being their own.

The disqualifying will kick in when they start up with the partner surveys, I am pretty sure!

remember...patience once the partner surveys are added...
you can't and won't qualify for every survey then.

the email comes from supportteam@SayNation.com

the email subject line is

SayNation.com Activation

if after a search of your email & bulk/spam folder, you don't find it...

try adding supportteam@SayNation.com as a contact/friend in your email account and ask them to resend it.

NO REFERRALS ALLOWED on SD in forums or via PMs!!!

I can completely understand SD not allowing referrals in the forums. However, I did go and read the rules and see that the OP ( and you ) are both entirely correct about "no referrals via PM's", which is surprising to me that it's worded that way, instead of perhaps saying "we do not allow referrals in forums and do not condone referrals via PM's."

This exact wording does make it patently clear, at the same time, that they do indeed sometimes read our PM's, despite the many times in other threads they ( mods, etc. ) avow that they certainly don't. *shiver*

I've always spoken freely with my friends on this site, so many, many times about very personal problems, and with the confidence ( other than normal net concerns ) that my trust in using private messaging and knowing it was indeed "private" was sacrosanct. Obviously, it isn't. I'll have to rethink my love of SD, or at least especially consider just not speaking about anything whatever personal in PM's ( or giving out my address and real name via PM ) or perhaps not using the messaging option at all.

Not being able to have referrals here doesn't really bother me as there are obviously plenty posted on other sites that do allow it, so that isn't really a "biggie" to me, however, this is a wake up call for me as to the PM system not really being "private" after all.

Thanks though for the thread post, OP, as SayNation seems like a nice new site to earn incentives.

My only kidlet [I love that word!] is 33 this year and contest lazy although he wants my wins! His kidlets won't qualify for a couple more years but they are already getting "trained" in contests, surveys and instant win games! The 3 year old almost 4 does have a tendency to get upset because they won't share! :lmao:

It seems like the link doesn't help. It just refers you to the main page. In fact, you can't even join if you have an invite yet, it seems. Unless they screwed up with the invitation e-mails.

Clothos, maybe this post (http://forums.slickdeals.net/showpost.php?p=8862369&postcount=46) from bryantq and kel_be, regarding whether or not mods read PMs, will help to set your mind at rest a bit :).

Why would more empty words set my mind at rest? The words in the rules against PM's with referrals are supposedly very clear, too. Then how would they know a PM contains a referral unless they read the PM? You can't have it both ways.

But they do read PM's. I'm pretty sure of it. when I was a moderator of a site a few years back, if someone was suspected of spamming or something, I would read there PM's

Thanks. I'm glad to see somebody around here besides me isn't all that naive. :shake:

I had about 60 PM's in my box that I had saved that were names and addresses SD'ers had sent me or very personal messages from friends here. I deleted them all this morning and will watch what I say or any information I give out via PM from now on as the thought of some mod reading details of my personal life and tragedies shared with friends really gives me the willies. Privacy doesn't exist, I guess, and "private messages" are only that until someone in charge decides they aren't and takes it upon themselves to snoop. An "abuse" excuse can be abused itself.

I want to likewise request that anyone who has saved a PM from me containing my name and address or any personal information about me or my children, please delete the PM's if you would.

How do people on there have 30k + points? Maybe I just haven't checked in often enough, I joined when this was first posted and just now got around to doing the surveys, but have there been that many points in surveys? Or is there other ways to gain points, maybe they got them through referrals?

This may have had an open membership trial period prior to when I found out about it and posted it. :dontknow:

My best guess is that points above what you might expect since we found it have come from either surveys before we got here OR from invite points.

When I posted this site, there were 9 surveys, worth some 8400pts, now there are just 5 of those surveys up.

Patience,...and try to check the site and do the surveys as they show up.

I will try to post when I see new surveys available.

Has anyone who did the referrals gotten the points yet? I referred two friends, and supposedly I was going to get 500 points for each friend. I haven't gotten any points yet, other than the over 8000 I got from the surveys

I hope discussing referrals in this fashion isn't a no no, i'm not offering them to anyone, I'm just asking when(if) I will get my points

News Update: Monday Feb 11th, 2008

* We have closed new registrations for this round. Please go the contact page by clicking here to let us know you want to be part of the next round!
* We want to make sure everyone is getting referral points and we are tracking this down. Please don't email as we are aware of it. Thanks! :)
* Please make sure you tell your email client that email from supportteam@saynation.com is OK. We're new so email services and clients are treating us like spam!

Thanks!

I think that they are trying to get it together (SD effect)
If they don't show up after a week or 2, unless they update their message,
THEN I would suggest contacting support...but not yet.

Has anyone gotten any new surveys since the initial ones? Nothing for me so I emailed them and never heard back???

Nothing new since what has been posted here.

They are new.
They are like WRinsiders.
If you are not familiar with WRinsiders...the surveys seem to come in spurts.
The majority of them, you will find by checking the site or someone posting here that a new survey is up. Only rarely will they email you that a survey is up.

and lastly...be patient, keep checking...
WRinsiders has been a great survey site for the kids/teens I know,
and I suspect SayNation! will be as good...but be patient.

NO REFERRALS ALLOWED on SD in forums or via PMs!!!
I double checked this with SD officials and was told:

"SD does not allow referrals, regardless of communication methods, there are no exceptions;
the rule says 'referrals are not allowed'."

Asking for and offering these invites are REFERRALS as they get you extra points!!!

Reminders of this are clearly posted in the thread title and first post!

I want to mention something I learned the hard way. With some sites, once you send an invitation it's gone, regardless of whether the invitee uses it or not. I don't know if that's true with SayNation but it never hurts to be considerate, just in case. Please be kind to your fellow SDers and only request an invitation from one person.

that was your one free chance. many invite offeres removed. asking for/offering them again will get referral warnings.

the invite function has worked all along on the site....

but the people who received invites after the registration closed could not get in even with an invite.

I am not sure if this is still true...
but the main page of SayNation! says to contact them via the contact page to be the first to be considered when they DO open registration again.

Hi, Just curious, what if I do NOT give people my referral code, just an invite, is it still consider referral?

An invite for SayNation is still considered a referral, so no, it is not allowed on Slick Deals.

plus the invite ends up having the referral code automatically...

and as per the site - the invites aren't working anyway...

see post #211, if you are interested in joining SayNation! when they open it up again!

Hi Thanks! This is kind of confusing. I login my account and click the "invitation" link, there is what it says:

Thank you for wanting to invite some of your friends to be members of SayNation.com! You will receive 500 points for each friend you Sign Up. Remember, your friends must register and do some surveys before you both will receive the points.

In order for your friends (18 years or older) to be members of SayNation.com (and for you to earn 500 points!), you must email your friends and give them the following referral code to enter when they Sign Up:

Referral Code: xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Make sure you tell them to go to http://www.SayNation.com/ (http://slickdeals.net/?sduid=237877&t=739895&u2=http://www.SayNation.com/)

OR you can send an email from SayNation.com:
Under this is an email form...

I guess it doesn't matter anyway..

in order for the invite to work (when they are accepting them again)
you have to give your referral number
OR do the invite through the site (which includes the referral number.)

either way..we can't do the referral thing on SD.

for now...use the contact page to tell them you want in!

Thanks for the info javaFlower. I guess I was too excited last night and forgot about the rules. This board has been so great just wanted to help. :)

speaking of referrals, I still have not been credited for the two i did. if i ever get credited for those, i will have enough for a gift card ( i still mgiht try and save up for paypal, but I like the option.)

did you contact them?
with your account info, who you referred, etc?

and did you use the contact page or the support email?
(if you used one and didn't get a reply, try using the other.)

i emailed both ways ( once from the contact form, and once from my email) and I told the info of who I referred) and I haven't gotten an answer, or points

I have three kids who have been signed up since Jan. They have all received a $10 amazon card and the oldest has also got a Webkinz as a reward. Not too bad, I think.

Edited to add: I just realized I didn't really answer the question. Say Nation does not have a lot of surveys right now, but they are new. Maybe later?
