Did you know that if you're an adult woman, you are a member of the most important and powerful consumer group in the country?

Did you know that you are also one of the hardest groups to reach on a day-to-day basis?

Women do 85% of all spending in the household and tend to use personal referrals as one of the key ways they find out about products and services. How would you like to flex your "purse power" and be the one in your social circle who's always 'in the know'?

Join the One2One Network's tastemaker team! One2One Network Reps are a group of socially-connected women who educate, inform and influence their family, friends, social circles and community about cool new products and services.

By becoming a One2One Network Rep, you will be matched with brands that you're personally interested in. All you need to have is a few hours a week to commit to a project. You can incorporate many One2One Network Rep activities into your regular routine, earn a little extra 'fun' money and get some great perks while you're at it! Some of the perks may include free movie & TV screenings, music, DVDs, electronics, make-up, foods & beverages and other product samples & special offers.

If you're an energetic, motivated and socially-connected 25-54 year-old woman who's ready to enhance your 'tastemaker' status in your community, we want you on our team!

One2One Network Rep responsibilities may include:

Activate visibility campaigns

Produce product sampling opportunities

Generate online and blogger buzz

Activate word-of-mouth exposure

Initiate local PR coverage

Organize parties and in-home events

Create contesting opportunities

Just to be clear, One2One Network Reps are NOT selling products.

You are simply communicating with your social circle and community about different brands. We're not saying you can't 'sell it girl' but you'd be doing it figuratively instead of physically. What a relief, right?

So are you up for it? Join the One2One Network and tell us a little bit about yourself. We want you!

For example:

A woman in Houston, TX is in a campaign promoting breakfast breaks where you get a $25 amazon card for handing out some samples! This is the same product that MomCentral just gave 500 samples out recently!

Example of email:

Hi XXXX,

Do you know another friend of yours who might also be interested in
distributing some Breakfast Breaks product?

They would also need to have kids in the 5-12 year old range. (No longer the
5-15 year old age range.)

If you know of anyone who is interested, would you mind asking them to email
me or call me with their information and I can answer any questions if they
have them.

No - it depends on the campaign. Below is something my sister just got in her email:

Hi XXXX,

I'm excited to give you the lowdown on our newest campaign for a breakfast product that’s guaranteed to ease the stressful morning routine with your kids. Keep reading and then let me know if you'd like to participate.

As a Mom myself, we’re all familiar with the hectic morning ritual. Kids dressed, check. Lunch box, check. Backpack, check. And finally, time for the most important meal of the day, breakfast.

As you probably know, statistics show that kids who eat breakfast perform better in school and have better overall health than those who don’t. Yet, who has the time to fuel the kids up on the four basic food groups before the bus leaves?

Can you relate? Well, here's a product that can really help alleviate the problem--Breakfast BREAKS.

Breakfast BREAKS make balanced nutrition a whole lot easier with their grab-and-go packaging streamlining all the elements of a complete meal- a bowl pack of General Mills cereal, a Minute Maid 100% fruit juice box, a nutritious snack, a spoon and a napkin. They come with the cereals kids already love like Cheerios, Honey Nut Cheerios, Cinnamon Toast Crunch or Lucky Charms so no 'arm-twisting' is necessary. Just add milk and it's good to go. Kids can eat it at home, on the bus or in class right before the first bell rings.

As a new Brand Catalyst for One2One Network, YOU can help introduce your friends and other parents to Breakfast BREAKS.

Here are basic details for One2One Network’s campaign with Breakfast BREAKS:

BRAND: Breakfast BREAKS

TARGETING: Parents with kids in the 5-12 age range

WHERE: New York (NYC Metro Area), New Jersey, Miami, Boston, Los Angeles, Dallas, Houston

WHAT WOULD I NEED TO DO?

* Learn a little about Breakfast BREAKS so you can tell other parents about it. (Information will be sent to you.)
* Pass out 24 samples of Breakfast BREAKS with a coupon to parents with kids in target group (Places you could pass out the product could include: soccer games, ballet lessons, PTA meetings; where ever parents gather with their kids)
* Complete an online survey providing feedback from your interaction with the Parents
* If possible, take digital pictures with parents holding Breakfast BREAKS (not a requirement)

WHEN: Breakfast BREAKS distribution between Feb. 25 – Mar. 9 Complete online survey by no later than March 10.

FOR YOU: When you've completed the project, besides all 4 Breakfast BREAKS variety samples you'll get upfront, you will also be sent a $25 Amazon.com gift certificate!

Pretty easy right?

So now I need to know if you want to participate.

You were chosen because you told us you have kids in this general age range.
If you're up for it, just reply to this email with a YES or NO.

If it's a YES, we will ship Breakfast BREAKS samples to the address in your profile unless you email us with an alternate address. Product should begin shipping around Feb. 22.

You will also be getting a Rep Log In Username and Password shortly and will then be added to the Breakfast BREAKS project when you Log In to http://one2onenetwork.grouphub.com where you'll get more specific information about this project.

Thanks in advance and I hope you'll join us on this fun project.

Sincerely,
Barbara

P.S. For those of you who know about the uber-wholesome, teen sensation called the Jonas Brothers, they are the current spokespeople for Breakfast BREAKS and are featured on the box and in the TV commercials and print ads. Just a little FYI for any Moms with little girls who swoon over them like my daughter. ;-)

no one has I think. My sis got an email inviting her to the Breaks campaign, which said she would get her login info. later on. It seems that you only get contacted when a campaign you are eligible for comes up. You don't get confirmation any other way; that Barbara lady - the founder - she seems to send emails out personally, which can be a lot of work if she contacts every single woman who signs up.

This is a new program so I guess we have to be patient; it's not automatic like BzzAgent, or SheSpeaks.

Not to break the thread, I just want some feedback. I thought it was a great opportunity until I was asked my birth date (instead of a general age or just month and year) and income.

Why are these questions relevant? I'm going to send an email to the company but I just wanted some feedback for SDers.

Thanks,

Yeah that stuff is normal on pretty much every survey you take. The income thing is so when they present the stuff you submitted on the survey to "Company A" they can say, people in this income range primarly thought abcd. I've taken a few marketing classes :)

Heads Up Just received this via email:

Hello One2One Networkers,

I want to personally tell you how excited I am to have you as a part
of One2One Network. I have been reading all of your submissions and I
have to say that you really ARE an incredible group of women.

First of all, I think it’s important for you to know a little bit
about me and my company:

My name is Barbara Jones, I’m 41 years old and I have a 17 year-old
stepson, a 5 year-old daughter and 20 month old son. My husband and I
now live on the east coast in CT after almost 20 years of living in
Los Angeles. I’m originally from the Midwest (both Minneapolis and
Chicago suburbs) and I'm finding I kind of like being back in a place
where you can feel the change of seasons. (Not that sunny and 75
degrees was ever so bad…) I also have a passion for snowboarding,
music and my family.

Anyway, I spent the past 20 years doing marketing, sales and
distribution in the music business which was fun and let’s just say,
never a dull moment. When my son turned 1, I realized I was ready for
a change and felt strongly about building my own company for so many
different reasons; more time with the kids, not wanting to commute and
no more late nights since my job kept me out sometimes up to 4 nights
per week. Ugh.
The reason I created One2One Network is because I truly believe that
we, as adult women, have so much power when it comes to what we choose
to buy for ourselves and our families. My goal with the Network is to
find companies that understand how important it is to communicate,
have a relationship and respect the power of their consumers,
especially adult women who do 85-100% of the spending in the
household.

After reading through your submissions, I’m so impressed by the
depth and breadth of the women who have signed up to date. You all
have different reasons for joining but overall, it seems like there
are common goals; learn about new things, voice your opinions, connect
other women, get some free stuff and maybe even make a few bucks at
that!
My goal is to make this a fun and rewarding experience for all of you.
I know that some of you are involved in other larger
‘word-of-mouth’ marketing agencies and that’s totally cool with
me. I want One2One Network to be the place that has a more personal,
friendly feel and ideally, actually gets you all more projects than
the other guys offer. Not only more, but projects that are more
interesting, interactive and overall, more fun. In the words of Cheap
Trick, “I Want You To Want Me.” I want you to enjoy being a
One2One Network Rep.

The more I can prove to clients that YOU are the team to hire when it
comes to grassroots word-of-mouth marketing by really delivering on
project directives, the bigger and better projects we’ll get. I
guarantee it!

Ok, so one more thing, I have to ask you to please be patient with me
in regards to some of our computer backend issues especially regarding
username and password distribution. We are a new company and we're
getting some of the bugs worked out regarding our site but DON’T
WORRY, you ARE signed up and ARE eligible to get involved in projects.
The new site design and backend functionality will be updated as soon
as possible.

For now, here’s how things will work:
We will send an email out to the Network about a project directive and
ask you to reply or submit your info via email if you want to be
involved. Not everyone will be asked to get involved with every
project so don’t freak out if you hear that another rep is doing a
project you didn’t hear about. Sometimes a client only wants
certain markets, or maybe Moms with kids in a certain age range or
whatever. If you fit the profile, you’ll have a chance to get
involved.
Project participants will be taken on a first come, first served
basisLook for emails from us with the Subject line: NEW PROJECT:
One2One Network & [Client's Name]Reply or fill out the form if you're
interested in participating and we'll let you know if you've made the
project team
Last but not least, I want to introduce you to my right-hand and
friend, Amber Maduell who many of you have been communicating with
already. Amber also “defected” from the music business to dive
into this new venture with me. She is passionate, driven and smart as
a whip and I’m very lucky to be working with her. She can be
reached at amber.maduell@one2onenetwork.com.

I hope that clears things up and if not, you can email me or Amber and
we’ll answer your emails as soon as we can.
Thanks again for joining and be on the lookout for new projects coming
very soon.

Sincerely,
Barbara Jones

Hi One2One Network Moms!

Motherhood is the trip of a lifetime – combine that with planes, trains and automobiles and you find yourself on an amazing journey. At the same time, every complication under the sun can occur when a Mother travels, with or without her children.

Well, we’ve been turned on to a fantastic new online resource to make life’s trips easier – TravelingMom.com, a new online destination that delivers:

* Insightful family travel information
* A diverse community of mothers exchanging practical ideas and support for those tricky emotional issues that arise
* Stories and interviews with real traveling moms that inspire moms to get out of the house, pack a bag and start traveling.

Now is the opportunity for One2One Networkers to really help put TravelingMom.com on the map as a must-check destination when Moms are preparing to pack their bags and go.

For the TravelingMom.com project, there are 2 different things you can choose to do (or both):

(1) Sign up and post on the TMOM Message board
Nothing incites activity better than, well, activity! Just sign up and use ‘121’as the beginning of your NAME (For example, if your name is ‘Sue Jones’ it would now be ‘121Sue Jones.’) This will help us track who are One2One Network Moms. Note: You will enter both a NAME and a USERNAME. The USERNAME shows up on the message board when you post. Please do NOT use ‘121’ in your username.

Once you’ve registered, log in and post away! Respond to a question on the message board or post a question or topic of your own - could be a tip, solution, complaint, recommendation, response to article posted, etc. Everyone has a travel story!

Each time you post, you increase your chances to win a Canon A560 Powershot digital camera (value $130). So for example, if you post 10 times, that’s 10 chances to win. There will be a random drawing at the end of the promotion. Please we ask that your posts be meaningful contributions to the site. One word posts just to compile ‘entry submissions’ for your self will not be counted. Let’s play fair. There will also be 5 runner-up prizes (tbd). The site activity promotion ends on March 31. Winners will be chosen by no later than April 4, 2008 and the winners will be notified by no later than April 11, 2008.

(2) Destination Education Form
Ask any mom how she gets her travel information and she’ll say two things – from the internet and from other Moms. TravelingMom.com wants your expertise as a ‘connoisseur’ of your city or hometown. What are the “MUST SEE” and “MUST DO” attractions for families visiting your neck of the woods? By telling us, you educate another mom about a destination. Ideally, we’re looking for info on your hometown but if you have another favorite destination, we’d love to be educated about that too. Additional completed submissions will be counted as additional entries.

Fill out and return the attached Destination Education form via email to one2one@travelingmom.com by end of the day (EST) on Sunday, March 16th. Everyone who submits a Destination Education form will have a chance to win a MedJetAssist Necessities Kit which includes an all-in-one travel bag complete with zippered laptop compartment, authorized medical kit, passport holder and deluxe luggage tag (value $105, www.medjetassist.com). There will also be 5 runner-up prizes. (tbd) There will be a random drawing of all One2One Network members who return a completed form.

Note: You are not required to do both directives but it would be cool if you did. And one more thing, for those of you who blog, belong to online groups or social networks, we also encourage you to show your support by linking to TravelingMom.com to raise awareness and help Moms discover this amazing online resource.

Sincerely,

Barbara and the One2One Network team

I think that was one project that you got, but it was not an actual product to test; it was just to spread words about that website. You don't need to do anything; just wait until they have another project to offer you that does include actual products.

If you see yours and other's info., I think it's b/c this is a small, intimate female community. I think that's why it's so open to everyone who are accepted.

Hi One2One Networkers,
They’re not ready yet but soon I will be posting Independent Contractor and IRS W-9 documents in the Files tab.

For some projects, there will be product or gift cards given out.

On projects that involve payment, to be eligible, you need to download the Independent Contractor Agreement, sign and send back by either mail, scan+email or fax.

You also need to download the IRS W-9 form and fill it out and return.

Let us know if you have any questions regarding these documents. Please note that you will NOT be able to be paid until you have turned in BOTH forms.

I’ll reach out to you when these are ready to be posted and submitted.

Hi ,

You have not yet been assigned a username/password. You can complete the TravelingMom.com contest with the username/password you used to register on their site, as well as turn in the Destination Education form to: one2one@travelingmom.com

We are changing our systems and your username and password for One2One Network will be coming within the next few weeks. Please know that you are NOT missing any opportunities by not having your username and password at this time. well, I think it's when you SIGN UP for a project that they notify you if you are accepted or not, and if you are, then they would send you your sign-in info. Lots of people got an invite for that music one, but they didn't get their sign-in info. w/ that offer.

I got this email too. The first two things I've been sent haven't been anything I'm interested in or can really contribute to. I hope you don't get "docked" in their minds when you don't participate. I don't want to join anything that I feel I can't truly contribute to. So I'm going to keep waiting.

I don't have any stories that I feel are worthy of publication so I'm not going to bother with this one!

I'm not so sure I like one2one network very much. All that I've recieved from them is 3 invitation to do stuff online (travelingmom.com and an invite to send in an ispirational story)and 1 WOM campaign where they don't even GIVE you the "product" to try (this is the latest project...the Allison Moorer Viral Marketing Project‏)!

In 2 of the "campaigns" they are giving away gift cards, special CD's and other "goodies". I'm just not impressed. I mean, I've posted to the traveling mom website, but I've seen better "mom" websites. Didn't "win" anything with that..... and now I'm going to spread the word for a project that I don't even know if I'll be rewarded for my time let alone get to listen to the music I'm promoting.....

Am I the only one who thinks this is a waste of thier time?

Ok guys this is what Mrs. Barbara said, she seems to be really nice!!

Thanks for your note about the incentives for the Allison Moorer project and others. For Allison's viral campaign specifically, we'll be doing performance or merit-based reward incentives of gift cards, CD packages and O2O goodie bags chosen from those who turn in the viral report. Other Networkers have been compensated for postering in certain markets and the first 300 got a CD because that was all the label wanted to send out. The entire album of Allison's music can be heard on her website.

Each project for One2One Network has various moving parts and depends on what the client is looking to do. Some will be product testing, product seeding, surveys, viral /word-of-mouth marketing, in-home events, postering and more. Not all projects will have the same objectives.

That's why for each project, we try to explain a little bit about it and ask people in the Network to 'opt-in' if they want to get involved. No one should opt-in for something that they don’t care for. You won’t get ‘booted’ for not participating. Maybe something else down the line will be right for you. It’s totally up to you.

For things like product distribution, postering, in-home events and such, they are more straight-ahead compensation situations. For viral marketing however, the only way for it to work is to offer contesting and performance or merit-based incentives. Incentives can include free tickets, CDs, DVD, movie screenings, gift cards and other goodies. Unfortunately, in most cases, not everyone will necessarily get something.

Most women got involved with the Network for several different reasons; to connect with other women, to get to know about new products, to have something new in their life, to get free ‘stuff’ and more...Our new website is in the works and we'll have a whole back end for Networkers where they'll know about the projects, find out about special deals, get involved with various contests PLUS there will be a forum so Networkers across the country can get to know each other if they want. We will also be doing One2One Meet-Ups in various cities for those who want to connect in person or ‘one2one’. We're doing our first one in Los Angeles on 4/23.

This Network is much more than just a place to get free stuff. I see it as a strong community of women who like to be in the know and get access to cool stuff AND get involved in things that interest them. You choose to do the projects you want to so if the incentive isn't enough for you or the project isn't up your alley, you just pass. Plus, we’ll have a lot more fun projects than just sampling consumer packaged goods. We’ll be entertainment heavy since that’s where my background lies. I think many of the Networkers will love being involved in these projects

That's interesting. I'm glad she answered you, but I do hope there will be more than just these 'viral' campaigns for CD's, etc. I know that's where her background lies and she probably has contacts there, but I personally don't care much for these types of campaigns. Oh well, I'm sure there are plenty of others who will really enjoy it. :)

Just got this email:

Sign Up To Join These One2One Network Project Teams!
One2One Network is proud to bring you new music projects from two exceptionally talented women - Idina Menzel and Missy Higgins.

Warner Bros. Records trusts that the socially-connected women of One2One Network will use our charm, grace and influence to help spread the word about these artists, their music and their upcoming concert dates. We know that if you like what you hear, you have the ability to turn a lot of your friends on to some great artists. In O2O's humble opinion, discovering new music is a gift!

Join Idina's or Missy's Project Team OR BOTH!
If you choose to join either of these teams, you may be asked to:

* Spread the word about her new album to your friends
* Write honest reviews on retail sites
* Post in blogs, social network pages or online groups
* Pass a viral widget around online
* Put up posters in select markets
* Sample some music and give feedback

Incentives and compensation may include gift cards, CDs, concert tickets, backstage passes, autographed items and more!

ONE REQUIREMENT: Only get involved if you truly enjoy the artist's music. If not, it will show in the way you present it to others and it will come across as insincere. Don't blow that trust with your friends and family. (And don't worry, there will be other projects coming soon that may be more up your musical 'alley' if either of these projects aren't.)
