I have a whole closet full of free stuff. Shampoo, bodywash, toothpaste, etc etc, you guys all know what I have. You have it too I'm sure! My husband loves my sale shopping. He calls them "scheming scams." All he cares about is that it keeps him in all the razors and hair products that his metrosexual self needs! And we stopped being so tight on money since I started doing this, so that we can afford to go to a really nice restaurant once a month. We've also been on two vacations since I started "scheming", which we had only had one other in 8 years together - our honeymoon. So that's a big deal, and needless to say I love sales! I also get multiple coupon inserts every week (I'll never admit how :rolleyes: ) and keep them filed in hanging folders in a big cabinet in my office at work! I work every weekend (gotta have the bingo on weekends too!) so I'm here anyway on Sunday, might as well stash them here instead of junking up my house! We don't have a lot of residents here yet, so I have a lot of room in the filing cabinets.

My craziest sale related thing about me would have to be that I sold the guest bed in my guest room to make more room for the dozens of packages of paper towels and toilet paper I keep stockpiled. We NEVER have guests (almost all our family lives in town, and the ones that don't stay at other relatives houses when they're here) so it only made sense.

I've only spend $46.39 OOP. My husband says I am scamming them and is waiting for the day I'll be arrested. My store doesn't allow me to stack the $/$$, so I tell him its completely LEGIT and I'm not going away to jail. As long as my 2 year old has a stock pile of Diapers, my husband has a stock pile of razors and shaving gel and Axe, and my mother-in-law has a stockpile of Aveeno all is right with the world.

I used to do all of my shopping at Kroger and Meijer when they offered super dollar doubles, and I went thru major withdrawal when that stopped, LOL - and Kroger stopped price matching, and gas prices went sky high so I didn't make the extra trips to Fort Wayne (for Kroger/Meijer excursions) as much, etc, etc. We're still working on a several year old stockpile of many things, lol. I spent a lot of time at the store, clipping coupons, and reading up on deals - but man, could I bring home a ton of stuff for next to nothing! I don't miss all the shopping though - haven't been in the grocery store but twice since the beginning of the year, and that was all produce. We raise our own pork, get beef from my folks, raise our own eggs and chicken, and get milk & bread at CVS - makes it easy to keep trips to the grocery at a minimum like produce every couple weeks.

Fortunately CVS has helped fill in the gaps for the last 18 months or so - and we have one "locally", in my nearby small town, so I don't have to drive 30-45 minutes away (only 7-10 minutes). Since we're in town for one activity or another for the kids almost every night anyway, it works out well. And, my SIL, DD, and I do some weekend runs occasionally, to other nearby towns, which has been great fun - I sure don't do "girls night out" but "CVS night out" is pretty darn fun, LOL.

I seriously think my 15yo is the best stocked teen I know as far as HBA stuff is concerned - hair brushes and doodads, shampoos, lotions and potions, makeup, etc. She doesn't have high end clothes and will be driving a 12yo car, but she's got all the cool stuff from CVS that she could want!

I also shop at CVS & Walgreens, but Rite Aid is my main store. I appreciate that CVS has some great deals, but they are set up to keep you coming back over and over again. I can cash my Rite Aid rebate check and spend it anywhere I want. They also have plenty of moneymakers on the FAR items. Walgreens would be higher on my list if their internet rebate program was rolled out in my area. They also need more FAR items.

A couple of people don't let me talk about CVS anymore, even if they have been the recipients of some Really Good Deals.

I :heart: this site. I came across it in Nov 2006 while getting ready for Black Friday! I am completely ad dictated and already have a stock pile - but only of things that we will use in a reasonable amount of time. The funny thing is I am sooooo not alone - 1st experience was at Home depot when they had space heaters ridiculously low prices - when I went in to ask about them ( gone but wound up getting a different one) the older man cashier told me how there was almost a fight earlier in the day between some men. 1 guy had a cart full and another came in a just wanted one.
2. Tonight I just got back from Wags where the young girl cashier let me do 3 separate P & G deals and 3 other orders. But she informed me that we had to hurry because the manager coming on duty does not allow separate orders. Apparently during the shampoo/ soap deals last month she rang up 1 ladies 13 different orders :omg: (cleaned them out she said) and the RR's did not print out so the manager had to issue a gift card. He wound up getting in trouble for it - but he is the only manager at this wags that does not allow it.

I've been a coupon shopper since was 19 (was on my own then.) I became fascinated by a good deal when I worked at Kroger in High School. I saw a lady come in and get an entire cart of Del Mote canned vegetables for free. I've wanted to do that every since. I miss super double coupons like crazy. I don't spend as much time on my Grocery shopping as I should. CVS takes up a lot of time. I keep telling myself that as soon as I have 10 of everything CVS has, I'll cut back and really work on stocking up better with groceries.

My favorite things to stock up on are toliet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent and dishwasher detergent. I am somewhat ocd so having ample cleaning supplies soothes my soul. I have gone through about 6 bottles of handsoap every month since age 19. So, any good softsoap deals would always be welcomed should you find one.

I also love makeup deals. I'm the kind of girl that prefers to never leave the house without it.

My screenname is IamNotcrazy because I have to say this soooo many times a week to my husband. I don't think he believes me, though!!!!

My daughter and husband are starting school this fall, hoping to get into the nursing program next fall! My daughter, too, has a daughter fresh out of highschool, so it will be a long road to trod. But, she has a good head on her shoulders. She lives here with us where she has a treasure trove of support. I know between that and her live-in study partner (a.k.a. Daddy :lol: ), she'll do just fine...and graduate at the very top of her class!

I remember that December 4 years ago....
holy smokes my sister moved the following September and she still had laundry soap from that deal.
it was Christmas time and what a HUGE help that was for my sister and me.
I actually still have a greeting card from back then......can you imagine NO ONE i know has had a baby boy in all that time, 8 births all girls, i can't seem to dump this last card!

I found SD & started CVSing in mid December 08. DH was complaining that I'm obsessed until I told him i was burning out & might take a break. Then he said "I hope not because WE'RE saving so much money!" I told him that since "WE" were saving money, "WE" both needed to do our share. Now he helps too. Before I send him out, I have to tell him exactly what to buy, how much, what coupons & ECB's to use, but he's getting the hang of it slowly but surely!

My newest "CVS trainee's" are my 76 yr old mom & my 80 yr old dad! My Dad asks me every day what time we are going to CVS, & how much he should expect his EB's to increase. I have to hand him his coupons in the right order, & explain the transaction step by step, but he's doing great for his age! Now I know where I get my love for "free stuff" Lol!

Side note: I live in SC with my boyfriend who is a diesel technician (he works on big rigs, beep beep!), we have a cocker spaniel (chunky one!) named Bailey (we adopted from a rescue :). The past 3 years have been really hard for numerous reasons (and I know I'm not alone :) but I am surviving! I lurked on sd for a year or so before joining, but only for the freebies! Lol. Then I started reading about coupons and people stockpiling and fell in love (esp bc I love to shop!) I'm horrible (and this is no joke :( ) at math, numbers, etc., so couponing really gets me flustered at times but I still love it. I usually can only do small transactions at a time. Other hobbies include preparing gourmet foods, reading and listening to music. I am going to school for dental hygiene but my passion is to be a funeral director but the nearest school to me is over 1.5 hrs away from me.

I love reading everyones posts on here and I so appreciate anyones advice and help anytime.
