I "clean" my house on a regular basis. I donate it and send it to people I know would need it.
I am trying to figure out what to do with all that body lotion - have around..... lots of bottles...

Mine's all boxed up in my closet in the garage, my crawl space and family room all ready for my garage sale come May. If I do anywhere close to last year I will be happy. I won;t toss out exact numbers but can anyone count to 3 bills that is :) hehehehe

Me, too! I only keep about 25% of what I "buy". The rest is donated. I don't have the space or the patience to deal with the volume of it.
I try to "rotate my stock" though unless it's a product I . It's the FIFO system for me. :)

this is only a very small portion of what i have. been cvs-ing for 1 year now (almost exactly).
I've been CVSing for several months (more than I have been posting in this particular forum) and I have to say that in light of recent events this post is making me :shake:
Yes, I have some stockpiles of items, yes, I have been fortunate enough to have surpluses that I could donate. NO I don't think this is the time or place for bragging about such. The entire reason CVS is rethinking its systems is to weed out abuses. I'm well aware that over time surplus stockpiles can certainly be built with entirely legitimate methods but I certainly have my doubts that all of those who brag did so. I can assure you that this statement is not made out of jealousy of your stockpiles but rather the desire to maintain what has been a plentiful source of bargains. Just my thoughts. I will disappear again and hope that thread does also.

I think it is fun to look at pictures of peoples stockpiles. In a household w/ 2 people, 2 cards are allowed. Thus, without even one single use of a money off coupon, a person could potentially get 10 free after ECB body lotions in one month (just for example). There is no reason to assume the worst of people!

My stockpiles were huge during the battery deal; I made decent cash selling batteries on Ebay. I had a stair case full of merchandise in December '07. If CVS is stupid enough to hand out thousands in merchandise, I will gladly and ethically participate.
These pictures of stockpiles could very well highlight system abuse. It doesn't make sense to conjecture at this point. The game is over, so be it. I have at least 3 years worth of goods to work through. According to these pictures, many have more than they will ever use (how many expiration based products can one have?).

Forgive me for butting in but, that wasn't the point.
They were trying to say that CVS has been watching over the sites and the assumptions to worry about is theirs

I think the point trying to be made ... was that CVS folks are clearly monitoring this board, and it's not helpful to our cause to see a bunch of pictures of thousands of items that were presumably gotten for free or near-free at CVS. That is the kind of ammo that people can print out and take to management suits and say "Just look at what these crazy internet people are doing!! We must shut down all deal sites immediately!"
Not trying to be a party pooper, just keepin' it real.

Here is my response to above......I agree with you, while it is fun for some, a challenge for others and a necessity for few, the packaging we go through is such a waste....WHEN IS SD GOING TO GO GREEEEEEEN. Maybe I am wrong. Get what you need, stick it to the most overpriced store I have ever seen and get out, on the way out get something nice for yourself....... I will be posting a pic later in this thread after I am lambasted for this post.

:iagree:
Maybe the OP could just change the title to just plain stock pile. I like to look at other people's things :laugh1: . Looking at someone else's organization style might help others get ideas on what would work better for them. My whole stock pile is not just of items purchased at CVS, it's made up from various stores. So untill the title changes I can't post any pics cause it wouldn't be entirely accurate.....

Just my 2cents which may or maynot be worth something.
CVS hasnt had any issues with people discussing deals, scenario's or whatnot. The only issue they had was simply with the display of altered coupons which is typically called a C&D order. This is common place among retailers and is nothing drastic or whatnot. Doesnt mean that they are against us or going to change policy based on our stockpile pics. What it does mean is very simply the coupons can only be posted in their original context which was the links. No big deal and shouldnt have a negative impact aside from that small change.
The true grand queen of CVS stockpiles is KMA... we need her to post her pics and blow everyone out of the water. Not much has changed since the last pics were posted, except that there's less. :) I only just started shopping again last Thursday (after almost a year of not shopping/living off my stockpile). In the next few days I will be going through it to make a huge donation to the woman's shelter at the beginning of April (my friend's business is holding a food drive and I usually donate a couple of times a year ~ I wait until my chiropractor or other organizations hold drives...easier on me to do it at once). I have a few drugs that have expired so I'll toss those (keeping a few for myself, cuz I'm not too concerned with those dates).
I think I saw hers a long time ago.. looks like a basement version of a drugstore, right?Basement version? Where I live we don't have basements. :shake: We call those indoor swimming pools.

Some of us actually go to other stores, besides CVS. :P And you're right about being inspired by styles of organization. Before I saw someone's stockpile with the shelves I now have, I didn't know how to improve without spending a fortune on shelving. Now I love my stockpile room and everything is so nice and neat.

SD can not be green; green is antithetical to SD's lively hood. Green is antithetical to a capitalistic economy.
I agree with your sentiments. We have stock piles of what we actually need and no more.

Here is a picture of what I do when I accumulate all my deals . . . make gift baskets and give them to those in need! Baskets came from the dollar store - so I really do invest some real $$ in it!
And if CVS is monitoring this site, who cares?! They are the ones that put this ECB program together . . . and they can take it away. And until that happens, I will continue to do the math and get the products and give away to others!
Happy CVSing and deal making to you all! :lmao:

Yeah! Aren't they fun to make? Actually I think I enjoy seeing my stockpile go from nearly out-of-control to becoming somewhat more manageable once I've made up the baskets.
My closet is full right now, too! Have told some of those basket receivers that when they run out of any item, to let me know. It comes with free refills!

Used to be guilty of stockpiling, entire family would shop here first lol but now working at a facility that helps women, so everything is going to work with me, just seeing how these women light up over a simple tube of tooth paste, not to mention when i brought in the Jane makeup, makes it soooo worrthwhile.

I love how organized you are! I also like how you stack your food items on their side so you can see the expiration date. I used to have a bunch of food items stockpiled, but we weren't able to consume them before (anywhere close to  ) the expiration date. Now I mainly stockpile stuff that doesn't expire for a long time. I'd post pics, but everything is in different areas of the house. Even though I have the stuff in clear plastic bins, I got a labelmaker to label everything. It makes it a lot easier to know what is where.

AMEN to that! Couldn't have said it better myself! Who's business is it how many cards each SD member has? Too much self righteaous "I'm better then you" going on in this thread.
I live in a city with over a million people, there aren't enough cvs deals for everyone. Some get while others go without. So it goes.
CVS publishes their monthly book/weekly ad, surely they've done the math? One bad apple and all that, I mean, its not like you have to show ID to get a 42nd cvs card!

That reminds me of that show on TLC where the couple has at least 16 kids and they have to buy multiples of everythig just to last til the next trip. First off, nice stockpile.
I think it's GREAT that you donate 90% of it to charity. I do not have nearly as much, but everyone used to give me grief, UNTIL I told them I give a ton to charity. Then, well....They don't say anything anymore.

Wow, where's the charity groups so I can join and get some goodies :) :) or anyone in OC area so I can come buy your stock with discount price :)
I can only do Walgreen Rebates, since most CVS stuff free after ECB, they are always gone when I get to the store. and I only buy stuff I and family can use or can give to friends & co-workder as gifts ... like cosmetics. Seems like I've always have to pay almost full price or go to costco for pantene and head and shoulder shampoo. I have to admit you guys are so much better! my stockpile now is mostly ... pads LOL ... WAG had those rebates long ago for couple of months straight!

Don't forget that in a couple weeks, Target will have all of their Easter stuff 90% off. (A week after Easter, if they go with the previous markdown schedules. But you might want to stalk your local Target just in case.) I'm sure they'll have tons of Easter baskets left over.
Of course, CVS will have 90% off too. But it'll probably be after Target's 90% off.

 Why not just take the word "CVS" out of the title?
I agree. Lots of us get things at Supermarkets, esp with triple coupons, and KMart, Wags, etc. If there's a clearance I'm coming!
Basement version? Where I live we don't have basements. :shake: We call those indoor swimming pools.
I hear ya. Basically, the bottom shelves can only store things in plastic bottles, etc. to be safe.
Removing "CVS" from the title would be great. Some of us actually go to other stores, besides CVS. :P And you're right about being inspired by styles of organization. Before I saw someone's stockpile with the shelves I now have, I didn't know how to improve without spending a fortune on shelving. Now I love my stockpile room and everything is so nice and neat.
Yes, I've gotten some good ideas from these photos. I pretty much use crates for heavy canned groceries, soups, sauce, veggies, and such. Other H&B aids get stored in boxes.
i make a lot of baskets too! love it! i got a lot of the baskets from cvs, so im currently using those. but i do have a bunch from the dollar store also. i'll havta take new pics of my stockpile tonight. it's ridiculous!
I'd love to see photos of anyones baskets. Unfortunately, I never see any appropriate ones in CVS, but can get nice sturdy ones at garage sales and store sales. I give them as raffle items at church functions. Even the Easter baskets are flimsy. If you can get baskets and tins, buckets from holiday gifts at the office, those are ideal.

:lmao:

Know why you were buying those ;)
The bathtub was really cute... just did one kinda similiar for my friends baby shower over the weekend. It was a pretty big hit too. She CVS's also and has already stockpiled diapers, Baby Shampoo and Lotion, Wipes, and other assorted items. It made doing her baby bathtub a little harder but I put in one of the Diaper bags from the YakPak deal, a grooming kit, Layette set (from target), Baby blanket, and some other little odds and ends that I had around. Just the Diaper bag alone would have been in the $60.00 price range but thanks to SD's was able to score 3 bags for $10.00. Just love being able to use my deals for great things :woot:

I took some pictures of my small stash, though it is spread all over the house so it's mainly just the beauty stuff and my diapers pile I took pictures of. Pretty much all of the stuff was from cvs, except for the boxes themselves, which were mostly from target. The plastic basket ones with food stuffs in them & the glucerna were for my grandparents. Ok - these aren't just CVS deals....and it's only about 1/10th of my "store" in my basement. It wouldn't let me post more than 2 pictures (unless I make multiple posts).
And for the record - I'm not being greedy.....I donate 90% of it monthly to local charities.
That reminds me, I at the bottom of my cat litter stock pile. I need to refresh.
Great work! I am no where near the stock piles of some of the ones shown. Sure, I have lots of shampoo, toothpaste, tooth brushes and cereal. But, they have come from various drug and grocery stores.
Yes, donating is good. I learned a long time ago, to date stuff w/ a marker, that way I know when I bought it and I don't have to look for an expiration date. So, I can go through and donate batches of stuff every so often. If I had the small store going. I would be so tempted to set it up in the garage and have a monthly sale. That extra money would come in useful, especially right now.

I will have to keep this is mind. Birthday and Christmas baskets. I passed up the glade deal last month at CVS because I don't use it. But, now that I think of it. I could of made some baskets up of it to give to the ones that do.

The sad thing is... We can't refuse a good coupon....
Seriously though, I love these pics. I make baskets too and give them to both of my grandmothers on fixed incomes. I Also give them to my Mother in law (fixed income), my sister-in-law (low income, single parent now), my aunt (low income, single parent, with special needs child). At Christmas, I made huge baskets for people and I got a ton of CVS toys and really made a few kid's christmas' (thats all they got). I am in the Appalachians, so there are always people in need here. Too bad I can't help them all. Going by this thread, I don't see CVSing as being greedy at all. If CVS does see this thread, they will see that by and large we are good hearted people spreading their good name to others. So I am proud of this thread! Reps to OP!

If you want super cheap, try those metal L-shaped shelf brackets that screw into the wall and a basic shelf board. You can find cheap ones for less than a dollar or two, or sturdier/fancier ones for ones for a few bucks on up (depending on how sturdy or decorative you want to get)
Here's what the basic brackets look like:
http://www.thehardwarehut.com/images/shelfbrackets/sta-25-0554.jpg (http://slickdeals.net/?sduid=246969&t=768793&u2=http://www.thehardwarehut.com/images/shelfbrackets/sta-25-0554.jpg)
You can find these at any hardware store. I know KMart carries these as well. The hardware store will sell boards to use as the shelf, or just cut down a piece of plywood/MDF/particle board. The stronger brackets may be better if you plan on storing a lot of heavy items on them.
I have these in my basement for holding laundry soap, cleaning supplies, etc. You can cover the shelf board with contact paper if you want to dress it up a bit. Fancy? No...but super cheap.

So any tips on inexpensive shelving? I don't really wanna pay $100 for shelves to store "free" stuff.Someone else asked me about my shelving units, so rather than retype everything, here's my reply:
I bought my Gorilla shelving units at Sam's for $59.88, in August of 2006. The first set I bought is nicer than the second set. They were purchased about a month apart. I don't know if you have a choice, but when my dad went to get the second batch that's all they had.
The first ones had plain/unsealed particle board shelves; the second set had grey coated shelves. That was the only improvement. The first set was so much easier to install; it took us longer to install the second two than it did to install the first three!
Other than the particle board shelves, the most noticeable difference between the two is the horizontal metal rails that form the shelves that the particle board sits on. The older/better unit has flat rails; the newer/worse unit has grooved rails. Once they're erected, one isn't better than the other. It's just the installation process that sucks on the second one. I kinda hated that they didn't all match, but I got over it. The room is so small that you don't even notice the difference.
This is the style of my first/favorite shelves (mine are actually larger than this one) http://www.acehardware.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2658819
This is the style of the second shelves, except this doesn't have the grey shelves. It's the same size as mine http://www.acehardware.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2658818

oh yeah--Here (http://www.boscovs.com/StoreFrontWeb/Product.bos?quantity=1&itemNumber=6738&type=Product) is the tub i used for the basket--It is great because it adjusts lengthwise, and you can make it the right size for how much stuff you want to put in it(i got it for about 20 bucks at walmart) . i left the extras included in the original box in the car, and brought it in as everyone was leaving after the baby shower. Also, I found this tub was the most level on the bottom, better for arranging the stuff inside. Have fun!

I think we all have a sickness! :lmao: :lmao:
 you can say that again..
this is how I look at it..before CVS i used to buy way too much clothes from all the clearance sales at macys, penneys, kohls (just because they were on clearance)..now that my addiction is being fed at cvs, I stopped going to those stores unless I really need something..So, where I used to pay real money for my addiction, I'm now paying the "fake" ecb money at CVS..of course the cvs addiction has multiplied tenfold from the time I started..From 2 visits a week, I have now gotten to 7-8 visits to cvs in a week..maybe the fact that CVS is trying to prevent the sharing of coupons is good in one way. Atleast I won't go to the store this much...

I am sorry people but I have to agree here. With CVS watching this site and others like it do you want to post all these pictures of the stuff you got for free at CVS and as much as you have pictured someone at CVS IS GOING to see this and it could shut down all the $/$$ printables and ECB program.
I understand you are excited and proud of what you have gotten I am also but I would not be posting pictures of all the stuff I have and really make CVS mad..
If everyone that does the ECB program has as much as some of the pictures posted on here I can see why CVS is cutting out the $/$$ printables and throwing a fit about the coupons being posted. Can you really imagine how much money they have lost.

I feel bad that I never get to shop anymore. I used to go several times a week with my mom to several different stores. She has two cards for her and my dad and i have one so we usually accumulate alot. I always give most of it to my coworkers the next day or to the church if its medicine or monitors. My fiancee wont let me keep it around anywhere because he has ocd and if something doesnt have a place or we have too much, its gone.
I wish I had taken a picture of my old glory days of super good shopping. Now a days I am lucky if I can go to cvs once a week and target every two months. (One memorable trip to target in december, over 100 worth of groceries then postits, lotion, clean and clear and things like that and voila bout 8 bucks out of pocket. Those were the days)

The battery deal roped me in, too. I feel like a CVS junkie lately. I went into two CVSs one day this week and they didn't have anything I was looking for and it felt weird to walk out without buying anything. It was like I was thinking "you can do this, you can walk away (without buying anything)" I am getting burned out. I was sitting here thinking of reasons to go to CVS today. At least the price of gas is a good reason to only CVS when it's on my way somewhere. Maybe it wouldn't be such a bad thing if I got a break where there were no good coupons available and no good EBC deals. Wait, what am I saying?
yep we are..:lmao: you've just seen the trailer.. what would you say if you saw the whole movie??
   My biggest stockpile right now is Jane stuff from the Walgreens deal last week and a few weeks ago, though it pales in comparison to the pics posted here. You know, these pics are good to have. If there were a fire, do you really think your insurance company would believe that you had hundreds of bottles of shampoo/conditioner/toothpaste/cat litter, etc. in your basement without the pics?

I was going to post a picture of the 90% off Cristophe hair accessories I bought last week, but in light of all the posts about CVS watching this thread, I don't want to alert them to their own clearance. ;)
you don't have to explain what you do with your SP. Whether you donate or not it's yours!Exactly. People who don't do this kind of shopping don't understand that sometimes you have to buy crap to get what you really need for FREE (or cheap). At times I think about just throwing away the stuff I don't need, but instead I always try to donate to someone (but only after I've basked in it's glow for awhile ;)).
If you have a Menard's in your area they have Rubbermaid shelves on sale for $29. They hold up to 180 lbs per shelf (5 per unit) and 900 lbs for the whole unit. I haven't put mine together yet because they are for the garage at my new house, but the display seemed really sturdy. They also have the Rubbermaid under the bed storage containers on sale for $4.47 this week.I looked at various units, including some by Rubbermaid. The Gorilla shelves I have are 18" deep X 48"wide X 72" tall (the ones in the link I posted were only 36" wide).

Do you really think they are gonna look at these pictures and say "Wow we never knew we were missing so much stuff!!!".. They do have a system that keeps track of what everyone buys... Its called the Extra Care Card Program.
On a brighter note, think about all the free advertising CVS gets through us? Like Through our own word of mouth, or through giving gift baskets with their CVS name on the some of the products, that give other people the chance to sample their stuff?? Stuff Sampled by People who are potential pharmacy customers? They know what their bottom line is, without the use of pictures. Also their coupons were all over the internet, they were Qs that they issued, in manner that they chose. Any company expects immediate loss when issuing any Q. Once a Q is issued it's hard for any company to control it. An example would be one person buying 50 sunday papers to get 50 copies of the MQs. CVS hasnt cut out the $/$$ Qs, they only have sought a means to control them. And then again, maybe they have reached a level of profit that they no longer need to issue as many coupons.

I have a new way of looking at the ECB program...since most of us are rolling ECBs indefinitely, and we never really "cash out" of the system until we use our last ECBs on items that don't pay back any ECBs, it's like we have a bank account with CVS and they pay us interest in merchandise. I made almost $20 in ECB profit and got over $60 worth of stuff last night: http://forums.slickdeals.net/showpost.php?p=10587732&postcount=208 Try getting those kinds of returns from a bank :biggrin2:

I'm fairly new to the forums, but i've been cvs'ing about a year now. I honestly don't understand how people do it to the degree i see here. I get free stuff from cvs certainly, but i also 'spend' my ECBs on stuff like milk and other things we need that don't return ECBs. Usually I only spend a dollar or less OOP. Consequently, i usually only have a small portion of ECBs to turn over every week.

They know there are people out there rolling ECBs. They knew that when they started doing it. We make up a very small portion of their shoppers. Plus, their prices are jacked up on everything else to make up for it. JMHO

This past Christmas I made gift baskets with useful stuff and gave it to basically everyone. I had free items from Staples, CVS, Target, etc. Each basket with the goodies would retail at about $150, and I prob. paid about $5 worth of merchandise and the baskets themselves. Just figured this is a good idea for those looking to save and make the recipients really happy as well.

I think my stockpile is boring compared to a bunch here.. :bigeye:
I have about probably 6 months' worth of stuff stocked.. maybe more than that on a few things that take longer to use up like toothpaste, grooming products, makeup, shaving cream, etc.
We have one small storage room off our garage that's about 5 feet by 5 feet. My stockpile takes up one corner of it (and my husband's tools, workbench, etc, take up the rest.) I have a 5 shelf bookcase with everything on it - except the cases of drinks, toilet paper, facial tissues, and paper towels. They are stacked beside the bookshelf. Then, I have one bathroom cabinet that is full of all the stuff like shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, shaving cream, etc.. stuff that needs to have a better climate control. All the baby's diapers, wipes, etc, are in the top of her closet. I will have to snap a picture!

You have NO IDEA what you're talking about. :shake:
I don't have the time to rehash the whole thing again since I know this has been brought up and explained many times.
First of all, the manufacturers are the ones paying for the program and they love it. Gillette, Novartis, Johnson and Johnson, P&G etc etc etc have been participating in the ECB program since it's inception. In fact, the ECB program has only gotten bigger and better.
The ECB program has grown, customers are becoming more aware of the program and it's evident by looking at CVS' quarterly reports.

Can someone tell me what charities take medicines. I have tons of excedrin, robitussin and advil and I don't know where to donate this stuff. I've been putting all this stuff in my donation box but haven't really gone ahead and called an organization. I'm wondering if purple heart or the veterans would take all this. Usually I get calls/mail asking for clothes, household items etc.,, so I'm not sure if they take these too..
Purple  or the Vets will not accept the aforementioned items. Try a women's, homeless, or domestic abuse shelter.

Try your local community health center. Mine was thrilled with all the stuff I gave them. The were initially surprised why I had so many monitors, but I delivered them in the store bags and explained I purchased all the stuff with coupons. Their faces light up now when I arrive with a cvs bag. They will take deodarants, toothpaste, etc. They give them out as they choose and it's a win-win for everyone!!!!!

i'm not sure on charities, but my next door neighbor and grandma loved it when i gave them a basket of this type of stuff at christmas. they both commented more than once at a later time about how much they liked it and were using everything (which included a variety of lotion, body wash, & other h & b items.). my grandma was so cute when she looked at her basket. she said, "oooh, even robitussin!" i didn't realize what a treat it was for her. now when i come up with extra stuff like this i just send it their way. :)

Not to get too off topic ( I WILL post pic later) but the key is to get items that you don't need but will make you ECB's. Use the $/$$ coupon to make a "free" after ECB item give you back more then you spent. Keep doing small orders and you'll build them up. I still buy milk and everything, but I do small deals..ie
Venus razor 9.99 get $6ECB
Milk 4.29
(2) Glade Sprays 1.98 get $1ECB
-5/15 CVS coup (5.00)
-Venus coup (4.00)
-B1G1 Glade (0.99)
=$6.27 paid with ECB's with $7.00 back in ECB=free milk
I just keep doing this when I need an item and don't want to spend my ECB's
Sorry to be O.T. just wanted to help anyone out who didn't understand the concept of why we have so much:)

Good place to donate to
They give women who are either in bad situations or have bad choices a second chance
They provide housing, daycare, job placement, and Christian counseling in order to help them rebuild their life. I give alot to my students there and since most are making very little money plus once they are able they have to pay rent plus in many cases they pay restitution in order to start fresh
You should see thier faces light up when i bring my goodie bags in

It's not gonna happen. People who slickdeal make up such a small percentage of their customer base. If you want to preach, please do it to some people who care :)
I don't care how much I tell family and friends about the ECB program, I still can't get them to clip a coupon. I think it's a minority that is willing to use ordinary mfr. coupons, and a rare subset that slickdeals using ECBs.

A heads up to those of you using multiple (registered) cards to get your goodies...CVS is now cancelling other cards registered at your address if you request a new card to be mailed to you (at least this is what just happened in this case). My mother requested a new card (because she lost hers) and received it in the mail. When she went to use her new card, the pharmacist/cashier told her that her old one had been cancelled (maybe they could tell by her phone number). She had never requested the first/old card to be cancelled, they just did it. Hmm...makes me wonder if they will start the same treatment with existing cards registered at the same address (with different names...husband & wife, etc.), since I've heard it's "one per household", not one per person now. Seems like it wouldn't be fair to apply this rule retroactively, but who knows...
I also saw someone post (on another thread?) that when you scan an unregistered card now, it will beep and the cashier is supposed to report your card to corporate. Interesting...

Thank for the info! Wow that will suck if they start cancelling existing cards that they would deem as "multiples"... especially if they cancel cards that have outstanding ECBs!

Not according to A. Maslow (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maslow's_hierarchy_of_needs). s3x is on the base level of the pyramid. There are many who have taken vows of chastity and who have managed to live long lives. I would mention priests, but that might not help further my argument. :teehee: My mom had an old ugly cousin who was a nun. She died in her '90s and I can almost bet my life on it that she never bumped anything with anyone.

I think this circumstance is much ado about nothing. I called recently because I didnt get my bucks, and asked if they could send me a duplicate card, because I could not find mine. They told me that they do not send duplicate cards for lost cards. They would have to send me a new one. (told them nevermind) You can only get dup's for damaged cards. So, I believe in this case what they did was routine. They cancelled the lost card and issued a new one. Relax for now. Let's not get more rumors going.
:shake:
I'll have to ask them if they are reporting my unregistered cards...What are they supposed to do, make a list???

After seeing this thread I must chime in. I've been doing staples/od/omax deals since anandtech time. My stash of printers/faxes/harddrives/etc. is kind of like some of your cvs junkies, except on a much grander scale due to size.
I started CVSing last month and man ol man, I am afraid to take pictures. For only one month, I have collected enough toothpaste, mouthwash, BeeFines, Softsoap, vitamin, lypl-whatever to fill every single kitchen cabinet in my house (I just had my kitchen remodeled and the cabs are all empty), and I have a huge kitchen.
SOMEBODY PLEASSSSSSSSE STOP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS IS INSANITY!!! AND I HAVE ONLY BEEN DOING IT FOR LESS THAN A MONTH!!!

I hear ya. I started with the battery deal, but I've only been "Super CVSing" for 2-3 months and I'm at the point where I'm sick of CVS, but I can't stop going either. It's a sickness, I tell ya! I was trying to spend all of my ECBs before the 5/15 and 3/15 beauty Q's ended but I keep getting sucked back in. They keep paying me to take stuff, I just can't say no to that! I even spent $3x.xx ECBs on storage containers (on clearance at CVS, of course) just to organize/store the stuff I bought at CVS.
At the store by my house, the manager kept looking at me saying that he knew me form somewhere...finally, he looked at the bottom of my receipt (where it say all of the ECB deals I did that month) and said "I knew that I knew you from somewhere (from shopping at the store so much!).

Ok - these aren't just CVS deals....and it's only about 1/10th of my "store" in my basement. It wouldn't let me post more than 2 pictures (unless I make multiple posts).
And for the record - I'm not being greedy.....I donate 90% of it monthly to local charities.
You donate 90% of all that a month to charities? How much do you shop in a month's time???

Here is an idea for some of use looking to donate items. This weekend the Girl Scouts in Missouri delivered a bag to households for personal care items (they do this every year in April) they then pick these bags up the following weekend. I do not know if they do this in other states. I hope so. They except eevrything from Firstaid items, paper products, soap , deodorant, etc...
On the bag it states - if you have questions call 1-200-727-4475 or go to www.girlscoutsem.org
Here is picture of my shopping on 3/31 at CVS. I also got 5 Windex that aren't shown. (The paper wasn't from CVS.) Thanks to all of you I'm am going to have to invest in some sort of storage, of course I'll be paying for them with my ECB's!

No pictures from me, my stuff is all over the house, and I don't have huge stockpiles (I have a lot of other crap stored, not useful stuff but things like photo albums, comic books LOL)
I just wanted to say for the gift basket makers... if you do up a fancy one, a good way to make your donation go further is to do it for an organization or church... have it be a basket raffle. Sell 1$ tickets for the basket, and all proceeds go to that charity (whatever you chose) and the basket goes to whomever's name/number you draw. So this beautiful basket of stuff some lucky person gets for 1$ and the money raised can go a little further than 10 tubes of toothpaste. Gave this idea to our church group, and instead they did a silent auction and raised quite a few bucks!
I am too busy or lazy to scrounge for baskets to put things together so I just give away extra stuff in bulk. But just wanted to give some more ideas for you creative ladies! :look:

I took one of those COnair foot massagers they had on Black Friday and used that as the 'basket' and then I filled it w/ manicure and pedicure products (Burt's Bee's manicure kit, handlotion, lamisilk & neutrogena foot cream, nail polish and nail files). It looks cute, I'm giving it as a thank you tomorrow for a friend whose giving us a bunch of moving boxes

I posted this in another thread, but a girlfriend of mine owns a Curves and is always looking for something to raffle off - other than Curves tshirts (which the ladies are sick of.) I did the Nivea deal 3 times so far and have gotten 5 of the tanning moisturizer with the free duffle bag. I took each duffel, put in the moisturizer, a toothbrush, toothpaste, Softsoap, Venus, Lumene Stinktube, Lypsyl, Excedrin, Vitamin C, Soy Joy Bars, Irish Spring, Lady Speed Stick, Febreeze Noticeable, and a few other goodies. Probably $50 worth of stuff in each bag. I dropped the bags off today and all the staff were flipping out at how cool they were.
Oh and she gave me the Curves shirts, which I wanted!!!!

P.S. LOL at all your Q-Tips. If anyone is wondering where all the Soft Soap is, we got 'em!

Ok - these aren't just CVS deals....and it's only about 1/10th of my "store" in my basement. It wouldn't let me post more than 2 pictures (unless I make multiple posts).
And for the record - I'm not being greedy.....I donate 90% of it monthly to local charities.
now you're talking!
the first few pics i saw were very disappointing...cuz back when I did my supermarket runs for deals, i would come back with this:

of course I guess you can't get that much at a CVS unless you go to a lot of them since they have less on the shelves...

I was actually looking for these to store my towels and stuff. The cheapest I could find so far is in kmart. The 3 drawer cart (not as wide as the one you are asking about though) is on sale for $9.99 until this Saturday. If anyone knows a better deal, please post. I am looking for a plastic drawer cart. I didn't see any of these in my cvs. I don't know if cvs carries them.

When the storage containers went on sale at CVS, I waited until they were 75% off and cleaned them out. I had huge ECBs that I needed to unload and what a perfect way then to buy storage.

I got them at CVS. They started out at $24.00 with a buy one get one at half price, then went to 50% off, and then finally to 75% off. As you can see, they really came in handy!

What helps is if you resize the pic before uploading to yahoo. If you have paint shop pro then you can resize the pic to make it smaller maybe 350 x 350 or something like that.

Sorry the pictures are kind of crappy, I took them on my digital phone.
(My razor collection and medicine collection aren't in here yet, They are put away in storage bins and it's hard to make out what in them through the front. And there is so much crap on them i'm too lazy to move it at this point)

You guys are inspiring me to try and get my stockpile organized. When I started CVSing in earnest last year I had it pretty neat, but as I've added more stuff and dug back into the stash to use the older stuff things have gotten kind of messy.
Here is a pic of the organized beginnings of my stash on which all the chaos is now built. I now also have shampoos and conditioners stashed in other cabinets, Cottonelle TP stashed throughout the house, another full cabinet with misc stuff, and more body washes that are just sitting in the bags waiting for me to find a place to put them.

I've got a decent stockpile, but it's lots of the same types of items (razors, toothpaste, body wash, deodorant, allergy medicine, etc).
What is everyone doing or planning to do with all this? I can understand the items that don't expire, but what about the other items. Plus it seems like it keeps growing every week.

I know what you mean. I stock shelves, I give away, and when I'm finally neat - I go to the store and come home with yet ANOTHER 3 bags of stuff. Every day. I can't stop.

I've got family that likes to "shop" from my stockpile, which helps to keep the items that can expire from going to waste. It also helps to manage inventory of the other stuff as well.
For any medical stuff you can't use, try donating it to a health clinic, shelter, or other charity. I've donated a lot of the glucose monitors to a St. Vincent de Paul charity pharmacy in Baton Rouge, and I'd imagine most cities have something similar. Probably the best thing for all that excess allergy medication and Gas-X that seems to be piling up.

We just try to keep what we can use on hand then donate the rest to the food pantry. They won't take medications (even over the counter). Anyone know where I can donate Excedrin and Tylenol? When anyone at work ask me for some I usually just give them the bottle.
I just sent 100 bottles of Pantene to the food pantry the other night.
For the 4 of us we have enough toothpaste, deodorant and shampoo to last for a couple of years anyway.

I think we need to create a new tread and have a Slickdeals Donation Day - at least 2 or 4 times a year. Many of us donate all our extras like my 50 year supply of deoderant I got this week. I would do it but I am a newbee and have no idea how to create a thread.
It would be great also if people could list exactly where they donate in each city/state so that others who want to donate but do not know how can get tips. I sometimes have a hard time trying to decide who needs razors more. There is the Thomas J. Papps school for Homeless Children here in Phoenix but I don't know what to give them they wont need razors.
Thanks

Depending on the ages of the kids, they might like razors. Especially if the school includes kids in high school. Those kids would also probably enjoy all of the lotions, body wash, deodorant, shampoo, etc. you can give them. If you have those Johnson Buddies products the little ones might like them. Donating is a great way to get rid of stuff you don't need but others could use. If you itemize what you give each time you can also maximize you tax deduction because you will be able to get the real market value for the stuff.
