Silk Road - ugh.... boring
Runescape 1/2 - Its like grinding in real life except you can kill things for money and the graphics isn't all the great either
Shaiya [described as WoW with better graphics] - Its pretty fair, the grinding in the game kind of forces you to get items that are available through the item shop whether you get it through the item shop or not. If you care to even spend 20 dollars, you should wait till they have double your aria points which allows you to get twice the amount for what you paid for. They also have 100% rebate items that allows you to get the points you spend on the items back.
Lineage - ehh.....
Trickster - It was ok, the graphics are decent but more pastel than Ragnarok
Was tempted to go to hello kitty online but can't seem to bring myself to do so which also applies to Hello Kitty Adventure Island.
Can't think of any other F2P games.

Dungeon Runners is an interesting one. Played it for a little bit, kinda reminds me of Diablo in a way.

You can play for free for MMORPGs that usually cost money each month. You just download the software and play on a "player-run shard/server." Ultima Online has hundreds of good ones, if you want to try that MMORPG. I think Lineage II has a lot too.

Thanks for the info.
I've played Mythos (beta) for a bit...it's pretty cool...kinda like Diablo...most areas are instanced.
Kinda looking for a Wow type....
I hear Anarchy Online is free now...played it years ago, it was pretty good.

yea its called shut your mouth
The thing about free MMORPGs is that is overly crowded. I've always been hooked to Ragnarok Online. Well I know it's not free ($12/month on the official server), but it could be free.

True but some of the paid servers can be quite lonely. RO was pretty good, I was hooked on to this one private server with 150% xp and the grind wasn't all that bad. It was bearable.

Do you play it?

Well it's sort of free. You need to pay membership to gain access to better stuff
Apparently they are releasing a physical media (June 1, 2008.)

$20 for 6 months membership
vs
$4.99 per month = $29.94

I heard people telling me Knight Online was worth checking out although I haven't looked into it myself.

Knight Online used to have limited hours on when froobs could log on. Not sure about it now. I stopped playing because I couldn't finish any quests due to the bots. Tho the few weeks I played it was fun, but i didn't get much into it. I believe the botting has gotten alot better from what my brother told me they updated alot of parts to it. Id say its worth a shot.
Anarchy Online is probably the best free mmo I have ever played. I really like what they did with ARK and the help system for it. The ads weren't much of a problem and I hardly even paid attention to them. I own Shadowlands (you can still play regular for free) that was the funniest part of it. I would start my toon on the island then goto Jobe. The implant system was a bit confusing for me at first a little more advaned then wow. But lots of resources and websites made it easy to learn.
You can play DOFUS for free...
Here ya go, dufus. http://www.dofus.com
