So.. Im doing my little posting thing and I come across a t shirt from
Com Tech one.

I search, as usual, and come up with nothing no matter how I spell it.

So.. I get ready to post it and KaBoom....

I get this message:

The following errors occurred when this message was submitted:

It is possible that this freebie/deal is a repost. The url in your post has already been posted in the following Free T-Shirt thread. Please verfiy that your deal is not a repost. If it is not, please submit again.

That is cool. It's also cool when posters spell correctly and include the most rudimentary details to allow for decent searches. But this is cool too!

This is cool, by far the best suggestion that came out of the help thread.
Awsome job guys!! This should cut down on 80% or so of the reposts...

Was this only put in the freebies forum? I know that 90% of reposts happen there but there are still reposts in the hotdeals section as well.

Yes, only the freebie forums. Most of the hot deals have duplicate urls such as dell.com, staples.com so it doesn't work too well.

Is there any way that this could be applied to the hot deals section for a short term session to see if it would be effective. Some of the reposts are on the same page.

problem is with the generic things where deals are from the same place. freebies tend to be from different places
