I haven't been on Survey spot for a while, but I finally got back on in the beginning of July and requested a check on 7/8/09. Does anyone know when I should expect the check? Past checks have come in 2 weeks, but that was a long time ago. Has SurveySpot gotten slower? Thanks for any help! =)

Maybe they'll send you a bill for the cereal. :omg:

Some of the expectations have become pretty far-fetched.

I did a "cracker" pt. I received two crackers and NO money. The follow up was nearly 90 minutes long and asked about every possible combination of flavors, sizes, and shapes that this company had considered for this product line.
WTF? How am I supposed to answer that based on two crackers (one flavor each)?

Are you new to SS? Not every PT comes with monetary incentives. Sometimes, you just get the PT. I have received several PT from SS before. It will state in the 1st survey if you will be given any compensation. If it mentions having a monetary incentive, you should be able to see it credits to your SS account 4-6 weeks after you have completed the follow-up survey. I have just finished the cereal follow up survey yesterday and am waiting for the mayo PT to arrive.

I got in today. But a few weeks ago, I screwed up in timing. I'm very fortunate to have gotten the $100 portable appliance online panel. Looking for work in this economy sucks. Right now, these are keeping my dogs fed and gas in my car.

rosemay

I also missed the $30 invoke today. I have rescheduled some other things trying to make it. Before I got off from work at 4pm PT, there were so many hiccups that I could not leave the building until 4:15pm. DH picked me up downstairs, rushed to daycare to pick up my kid, arrived home at 4:35pm, the FedEx guy was waiting to deliver my mayo PT, arrived home and turned on the computer which was super slow today, login around 4:45pm, it's already full. I almost fainted cos I have asked DH to rush me back and cancel our date tonight. He saw me being upset, he asked if I could login later. Luckily, I am in the $100 appliance focus group and have been accepted in a communispace. Otherwise, my day would be totally failed. For those who were in that invoke, hope that you have a good time.

I guess so, Kraft First Taste. I have joined it recently but haven't start to receive anything yet but it is interesting to know more and share.

Communispace is a private forum that you need invitation to join. There're many different topics and projects. It's quite difficult to get it. First of all, there's no link anywhere unless you get an invitation. I got mine from one of the survey companies. Then, there's a pretty long screener and you will know if you are a fit or not. After submission of the screening survey, your profile will be reviewed and an eamil will be sent to you to let you know your login ID and password if you are accepted. I have waited for 3-4 days (not sure) to receive the email to welcome my participation. I have failed in a few before I got accepted from the current one. If your profile match with what Communispace wants, you would get picked one day. Good luck!

Dear karrina

You have participated in a screener survey through OpinionBar last week. You have indicated that you
are interested in testing a baby bottle from Philips AVENT.

We want to let you know that you are selected for this survey! You can expect a package with the baby
bottle from Philips AVENT next week. We would like you to test the baby bottle for the next following 2
weeks.

In this package you will find the baby bottle and the User Manual. The User Manual is an important part
of the whole product experience. And so it is very important that you make use of the User Manual when
starting to use the product and during the test period if you have any questions or usage issues/problems.

This trial uses a prototype bottle and as with all products care should be exercised when
using it, particularly around children.

1. Please do not use this product with hot liquids.
2. If using the bottle to mix formula please use the enclosed Sealing Disc instead of the
teat.

After you have finished testing the product and have filled out the final questionnaire, you have agreed to
send back the product. We would therefore also ask you to keep the package material until after the test
period of 2 weeks; you will need it for sending the baby bottle back to us. You will receive a port free label
after the test period of 2 weeks via e-mail. So you can easily send it back to us without any trouble or
payments.

You will be requested to fill in 1 questionnaire after the 2nd week of usage about your user experience
with the baby bottle.

For the questionnaire you will be sent an Internet link via e-mail. So by clicking that link you will arrive at
our questionnaire website.

After you have participated in the questionnaire and have sent the baby bottle back to us, you will receive
5 USD as a reward for your efforts and your time, and of course OpinionBar points for filling in the online
questionnaire.

I only clicked on it so I could get it out of the way (it was that or click the stupid new commercial link) to see what other surveys were available and when I went to close the tab I saw "Communispace" (which I have red so much about since joining SD). You just have to state in your profile that you have children under 18 and give them the go ahead to send you surveys for that age group ( its one of the options). Then sit back and wait. Her surveys will be sent to your account and you will have to get her to complete them.

hope this helps

We trying signing her up but it wouldn't accept her, saying "must be 18 or older to participate". So how can she join?

You should try say nation and weekly reader insiders instead, my 15 y.o brother makes tons of money with them.

When I took the survey this is what I recorded about it:

8/2/2009 - 15 - Johnson's Baby Lotion - 767844
Date I took Survey - Payment - Product - Survey Number

HTH! I'm pretty sure it is $15 payment following the 2 PT.. though it didn't say so in the email I received, that is just what I am remembering from the day I took the survey.

It is and if the products are full size they will most likely include postage paid return shipping for the products and send you cash after the survey is completed and they receive the product back. I have done a couple of their PT and was surprised to receive cash in the mail.

Yes that helps, thanks! I got into 2 PT recently and I remembered one was for $15 from Surveyspot but I couldn't remember if it was J and J or the granola bars.

I did a baby wash one for J and J awhile back and they paid $10 for one product. It was full sized and we didn't need to send it back. I'm actually still using it but it's just about gone! :)
Sometimes companies do ask for empty bottle or leftover product. I had to send back laundry detergent and baby bottles for IHPT before.

There's just something odd about the way SS tells time. I need a translator. 7-mins turns into 35, and 10-mins turns into 45. I wish their payments expanded by the same ratio

I think its in reference to the size of the check itself as the shape of the check is too small. I always deposit survey checks into my 'survey account' at a different bank, but if thats the case it sucks if i ever wanna deposit them at BoA....or having to go inside with a 6 dollar check :)

I am unsure of the # because it came up after finishing a TV program survey (I really wish SS kept track for us) and I always forget to copy the start info but I believe it said 5 minute consumer survey. It requested my shipping info at the end and then gave this info...

"Thank you for taking the time to complete this questionnaire. Your opinions are extremely valuable to us. We would like to invite you to participate in the second phase of this study in which you may be asked to prepare a product.

If you are selected to participate you will receive the test product, via UPS, on or about Wednesday, August 12, 2009.

It is very important that you, yourself try the product. Other household members are also welcome to sample the product, but it is most important that you, yourself, try enough of the product to be able to form an opinion about it. In addition, you, yourself, would need to complete the second phase online questionnaire after trying the test product. The second questionnaire would come to you via e-mail similar to this questionnaire.

After you try the product and complete the survey, you will receive a check in the mail for $5.00."

That's so strange because I got the PT the other day in the mail but yesterday I got a letter from them saying something about the products numbers being messed up on some peoples test and to double check the numbers. They must be doing this one in seperate groups or something.

You don't usually get the incentive until after you have completed the survey(s) about the product you tried.

Got the same email but my products were labeled use first/use second and each had the proper codes. Does anyone else find it weird that J&J pays in cash? Not complaining but before I started doing PT for them I had never received cash in an envelope from a company; just checks, money orders or prepaid debit cards.

I do find that rather odd from an accounting standpoint. How to account for all those incentives unless there's a gazillion "ten spots" piled up in petty cash. Then again, inserting a $10 bill instead of generating a check is much easier. maybe?
