But it is a good PT, isn't it? I use that brand anyway, love to try new line.

Almost never, no. You need to just be aware that it's probably a PT if the survey is 15 minutes or less and the topic is some sort of product (usually food or toiletries)... OR, it might also say the survey is for "ladies" or "moms," although those are less likely to be PT's. The only way to know for sure is to do the surveys.
Thank you! I have never done a survey for sweepstakes for anyone before but now that I know it may lead to a PT I may start doing them. I really appreciate the heads up! I usually do at least 2 PT's a month for Pinecone and couldn't be happier.

Got sucked into that last night. I wasn't going to do it, but since there wasn't anything else paying, I did it anyway. Catch 22, I shouldn't have, but I did, and it encourages them to be cheap. I feel a bit bad, but the deed is done

I also set up folders in my email box to store the sign up confirmation emails (with login ID and info), GC or PP confirmation emails, focus group confirmation emails, etc.

Also, is there a way to enter certain survey numbers into the site or hyperlink? Like if I read on here that survey # 775204 gave a $3 prize, could I enter that somewhere and take it?

This is totally bs SS is screwing everything up. Back in July I won one of those instant scratch off thing. I even received an email saying that I will be receiving the winning prize in 4-6 weeks. I waited all this time, meanwhile I was checking the "rewards" section and it was displaying the jun 4 to july 4 winners constantly until today. I contacted member services this month saying that I haven't received my win, they responded "you didn't win" :scratchh: BS
I forwarded them the confirmation email and the authorization number i received with the e-mail, they haven't responded yet. Today I checked the rewards page again, it displays August 3rd - September 26th winners. July winners are vaporized.

While I think it depends on demographics, the surveys you get does seem random. I've had surveys disappear on me after one refresh, just to come back that night to see them back up(or not at all lol).
You should clear your cookies(clears the session ID associated with your login as well) and log back in later. Works sometimes....

Nope. Sometimes I get that "We're sorry. There are no surveys available at this time for you to take. When a new survey becomes available, we will send an e-mail invitation."
But I always had at least one survey or two available every single day.

oh I knew I should have wrote that down. sorry! Actually I don't think it even had one. It didn't come through email. Instead of the usual topic, #, minutes, it was just a few sentences. It mentioned unreleased movies, tv shows, & commericals and you have to download their Precast software for viewing.

Thats why I wish they would just stick with checks. Plus you know paypal is going to find a way to take a fee from us. :(
I think going to a points system is just a good way to confuse people. To get them to take more surveys. People won't figure out the rate exchange before taking the survey.

I just got that over 60 crap at the end of two surveys, one of which was the shaving survey. SS is getting cheaper and thus trying to pump people for as much info on as many topics as possible in each survey.

I can really overlook it with companies like ACOP and Synovate that reward you mostly with PTs. But nickeling and diming "POINTS" for your time and participation is going to backfire. I mean 80 points(45 cent equivalent) for a survey that used to just flat out give you a $1 is going to lead to people only continuing with select companies.

Either that, or if people start to take note of the companies the surveys come from- not the companies we take them for, but where they are directed from- and complain about the frequency of this happening, they might start to notice something is up.
I did that the other day when I spent 35 minutes taking what was supposed to be a 20 minute survey only to be told after it was over that they had enough respondents. Either they really had enough from my demo group, but should have put those ?s at the beginning BEFORE wasting over a half hour of my time for nothing, or they were flat out lying.

As long as they meet their quota of respondents for their client they really dont care. If the client wants 1000 respondent answers for a particular survey and people dont do the surveys because the compensation isnt worth the time involved then they will up the incentive to get more people. If people continue to do the surveys for a mythical sweepstake entry why would they pay a dime more for answers they can get free.

If the survey company has enough problem with enough people then it becomes a problem for them. Especially when the right ones are notified of this. Their reputations will be tainted and we WILL go elsewhere

That is what happened with the Invokes SDers were getting via SS. SS was taking forever to credit for them or not crediting people at all and when contacted about it they were claiming there was no record of people completing the Invoke sessions or telling you to wait another 8 weeks before inquiring about being credited. SDers got the right info out there about who to contact at Invoke and once we did SS finally credited most people. Since then most Invoke incentives from SS and even GF are credited pretty quickly and Invoke promptly responds to any problems.

No there is no limit. You have to link your credit card or bank account in order to make a paypal account (I have both linked) Once you received payment, sometimes it charges you, other times the company sending the money might pick up the fees, you can send the money to your bank account free, it usually takes a day or 2 to show up in your bank account. To pay for items (such as ebay) there is no additional charge.

I took a survey a few days ago and qualified for a PT involving the use of two different products. I assumed it would be different varieties of the same product. Well my PT arrived today and I was provided similar products from competing manufacturers. I've done a LOT of PTs over the past 10 or so years, and this is the first time I've ever been asked to compare products from two competitors!

I remember last year when I first joined, I constantly got 5 dollar surveys, 3 dollar surveys and even some 10-20 dollar ones. Now it's 1 dollar for 25-30 minutes and I think I've seen one 5 dollar survey in the past 3 months.

I've found exactly ONE bill that I can pay using PayPal; Blockbuster Online. Other than that, and the occasional minor eBay purchase, my PayPal earnings just sit there, unusable unless I make random purchases solely for the sake of using them up... just like with Amazon cards. I want that survey income to pay BILLS, not sit around gathering dust. This PayPal switchover sucks... I guess I should be grateful that they delayed it all these extra months so I could get some additional checks.

Our mail is always days behind because we have fill-in carriers and once it is delivered we have the issue of our neighbor's "special needs" adult son. He lurks around in the afternoon touching/taking peoples mail, packages, gardening equipment, outdoor toys and anything else he can run off with. It is a pain to have checks reissued from companies like SS.

Transfers to your account are free (there is a monthly limit of $500) and they usually take 3 days, I have no clue how long a check would take. You have to add the email addresses you used for SS and OOP to your Paypal, you can connect up to seven different emails to one Paypal account.

I request checks from paypal all the time. It takes about a week to get your check. You can associate up to 7 different email accounts into one paypal account- so just add whatever emails you use into that one paypal account. I been doing this for years- works great. At paypal just click on add email accounts.

Why request a check from paypal... if you don't want to use your normal bank account you can always open a new one... most banks have free checking with no minimun balance and you'd just have open it with a few bucks and leave a few cents in it...
definately cheaper and faster than getting a check from paypal.

It's not a diary like the type we are used to. It's literally like 5 or 6 questions you need to answer each day about where you ate dinner and why you chose the dinner you chose. It took me less than 2 minutes to complete today.
I also misunderstood something from the first study. It's actually 3am, not 3pm before you do the next survey. I thought we were doing it for the same day, but it's actually delayed one day, so we can do the surveys as soon as we get the links.

I never did get my diary link for day three, so this morning I used the Day 2 link and I filled it in for day 3. Then I used that same link again and filled it in for Day 4. I hope it goes through, since this is basically an opportunity to be paid $20 for about 7 minutes of work. The diaries literally take less than a minute each day to complete.
I didn't receive my dairy link for the 3rd day either. Thanks for the info, I'll use the 2nd day link as well. :) It's an easy 20 bucks!

I never received Day 3 either so that's exactly what I did for Day 3 and 4 :) Hope it works. What a way to dupe us out of 20 bucks if it doesn't.

Same here, got the survey today but no juice has been delivered yet. I have sent an email to SS and see what they said. Glad to know that I'm not the only one. ;)
Have anyone got the survey of a baby lotion, survey #775875? I remember that it should be sent to me today according to the instruction but I may be wrong. It's the one which pays $10 for completion.

SS is wonky when it comes to PT followup surveys. I did a two part/two cereal PT and both times they screwed the links up. For said PT I received a total of eighteen emails for the two followup surveys, it took them nine tries for each just to send a working link. Geniuses I tell you, geniuses.

Hi, I'm a complete survey newbie here but I have been lurking here a few weeks. This is the MOST helpful site I have been on and such a comprehensive one at that!
I have a bit of a problem that I'm hoping you survey veterans can help with =D. I have waited about 4 weeks for surveyspot to credit my unclaimed rewards account and I've only gotten 3 out of the 23 dollars I have been expecting. I am a bit concerned since the one survey I was credited with was an Oct 12th one while the other one was an Oct 24th one. The other 7 or 8 surveys that have not been credited were taken between the periods of Oct 12 - Oct 24. Is this normal?
Also, I have been saving the survey numbers, but not the survey topics. Will this affect my chances of getting payment credited? And another question (sorry! this'll be the last one!). Is the tone that I'm using to write this post suitable for writing to the surveyspot support? I'm never sure if I come off as too arrogant, too casual or too uptight when I type.
thanks!

It can take up to 8 weeks for some surveys to credit. If they are not there by week 8, then you need to contact them. Some credit faster than others depending on the client and how long the study has been open.

Finally, I got the juice late today (UPS delivered at 6pm!!!) It's a big bottle but I doubt that it can good for use of 5 days.
And, the follow up survey of the baby lotion arrived this evening. The email said that the $10 would arrive via USPS next week.

I logged in at 3:58CST and had no trouble. It's an interesting Invoke. I was disappointed with the pay on this one, but I don't complain about lower pay with Invokes because they aren't constant surveying. They move soooooo slow that I can still do laundry, cook dinner, and post to Slickdeals while I'm doing the survey. It's not like it's 75 minutes of straight work.

Had a similar experience with i.think a month or so ago. I was half way through the middle of an invoke when it asked you to watch a video clip. Had problems viewing the clip and notified the moderator. Next thing I knew was I got kicked off for no reason. We weren't required to test any parts of our system before taking the survey and I certainly didn't do anything wrong so I emailed I.think and explained what happened. Wasn't expecting any response back but the next day I received a pleasent email saying I would be receiving my $35 incentive. I just received it the other day and emailed them letting them know how thankful I was for them listening to me and caring about me as a survey taker.

I'm not sure if she gave them her address (we have the same address) & I know it's only one account per address. ugh it's so frustrating. Is anyone doing the food diary study for Surveyspot? I clicked on the link and got an error message and now it will not let me back in and I took the survey everyday. Does someone have a name for the company sponsoring this study or should I contact Surveyspot? Thanks so much in advance!! - This is so confusing because they are not sending us any kind of e-mail messages everyday to remind us to take the survey like they did the first day.

I learned years ago that you MUST log into Invokes 30 minutes early or else you'll get locked out, since they invite about double the people that they actually need. It's not really wasting time. You just log it in and then ignore the window for 30 minutes. I usually start trying to log in about 35 minutes early and typically it'll let me in at about 32-33 minutes early.

I usually login early too. This time, I login 30 minutes ago and was told that it's too early. I could not even able to access. Then, 15 minutes later, I could login with no problem but just have some emergency to fix and I have to leave the invoke.
