GTA IV: New trailers, multiplayer details
Rockstar Games is poised to release their latest crime-drama opus Grand Theft Auto IV in a matter of weeks but that hasn't stopped the steady flow of updates on their official site. Yesterday Rockstar released two new trailers from within the game as well as details on the Team and Race multiplater modes found in the game, with a promise of details on the Co-op and Competitive modes before the April 29 release. The two new trailers can be found after the jump, in the mean time our big brother, Joystiq, broke down some of the multiplayer modes found in the game which you can find below.

Team modes

* Team Deathmatch - Kill the opposing team and loot their dead bodies. The team with most cash at the end wins.

* Team Mafiya Work - Work as a team to complete "Mafiya" contracts before time expires; missions include: escorting wanted men, picking up MacGuffins and stealing cars. Teams can interfere with opposing teams, the team with the most cash at the end of the round that wins.

* Team Car Jack City - Teams must collect cars that spawn around the map and take them to drop off points for cash; the condition of the cars when dropped off determines the amount of cash, except for bonus cars stuffed with drugs (these have a set value). Teams must deliver the vehicles ordered by the "boss." The team with the most cash at the end wins.

* Cops n' Crooks - The crook team must get its boss to safety. The cop team has to take him down or simply destroy the getaway vehicle (see sub-modes below).

* All for One - Crooks win by getting their boss to a getaway vehicle and escaping. Cops win by killing the Boss before he gets away.

* One for All - No boss, just plain crooks trying to escape. Cops win by killing all of the crooks (this is elimination style). Crooks win by filling up the getaway vehicle, which holds up to four players.

* Turf War - Timed capture-the-base. A number of bases are scattered across the map and can be captured by standing in the appropriate area for a short time; bases can be captured more quickly with multiple teammates, but can't be captured if opposing players are on the base. Captured bases earn money. The team with the most cash at the end wins.

Race modes

* Race - Checkpoint races with the ability to respawn at the last checkpoint passed; numerous courses for cars, boats and helicopters -- laps and vehicle class/type are adjustable (see sub-modes below).

o Free Race - Point-to-point races; first one to the finish wins.

o Cannonball Run - Traverse several checkpoints anyway you can.

* GTA Race - Checkpoint races with the added element of combat; weapons spawn throughout courses. Players can also exit their vehicles during road races.

Holland Nights - Getting through the gangsters is fairly easy and straightforward - use cover. When you get to the decision to kill the last guy or walk away, if you are planning to kill him, do it from the fourth floor, not up on that little thing he's on. This will give you more time to run away. After you decide what to do, head down to the second floor (floor right above ground level... ). Jump off the railing TOWARD THE STREET. This will bypass all the cops in the complex and give you a running head start.

Trust me.. don't try to fight them...

UK OXM gives GTAIV perfect score

The UK Official Xbox Magazine has reviewed Grand Theft Auto IV, and the word is it's very, very good. Delivering a full ten pages in its review, OXM settles on the lofty score of 10 out of 10. This despite quibbles regarding the cover and lock-on systems having occasional issues as well as some graphical pop up. It should be noted that the magazine was reviewing an unfinished build of the game -- apparently Rockstar was still making "tweaks" at the time -- so it's at least possible that said problems could be ironed out in the retail version. Overall, the review effuses praise. Just how much, you ask? Try this on: "This game is finished to such an astonishing level of detail, so overflowing with people and events and experiences and stuff, that even if we dedicated this entire magazine to listing the amazing things that could happen in Liberty City we'd still barely scratch the surface." Alright, so it's good then?

Of note in the review is that the first episode of 360 exclusive downloadable content should arrive in August and will be "at least 10 hours long." Another interesting feature adding another layer to the open world is a virtual internet that Niko must access for certain missions. Players can also browse the internet to make new acquaintances via "personal ads" or read the latest news regarding their crimes. Niko also has email (complete with spam) that players can choose to respond to in a positive or negative way. So now we browse the internet to avoid responsibility inside a game. Wow, these things get more realistic all the time.

Scans of the review are quickly making the rounds on the internet. We won't link them here, but 360 fanboys are a resourceful people. We'll bet you can find them if you try hard enough. Should such nefarious deeds be too ... um ... nefarious for you, the review can be found in the May issue of the UK's OXM.

The GTA IV Compendium & FAQ

As we approach the launch of Grand Theft Auto IV, we've learned more and more about the game, but the incremental updates have made it tougher and tougher to piece the whole thing together. So we've created a GTA IV compendium to get you up to speed on the game before its release. Because the last thing you want to be caught saying to the cashier is, "Wait, so this game has multiplayer??"

Story
You play Niko Bellic, an Eastern European who has been lured to the US by his cousin Roman who claimed to be wildly successful here. Roman lied. He just runs a small taxi company and needs tough guy Niko to help him in his fight against debt collectors and people who he's generally rubbed the wrong way.

City
Liberty City, modeled after New York, is actually smaller than San Andreas from GTA III. Broken into 4 districts, players will enjoy pseudo-areas Broker (Brooklyn), Dukes (Queens), Bohan (Bronx) , Algonquin (Manhattan), and Alderney (New Jersey).


Single Player
You can change Niko's clothes, but you can't change Niko. GTA IV will not allow huge character customization in this mode. That's for multiplayer. But it isn't so bad playing Niko. He's a modern man who takes the occasional cab, uses the internet to read more about his targeted hits, and knows to hide in cover during firefights while shooting with far better (over the shoulder) mechanics than his predecessors.
Rockstar has claimed gameplay as long as 100 hours. A play-through by Xbox World 360 was completed in 25 hours without sidequests, and estimated to run an average player around 40 hours for the main campaign and another 25 for sidequests (that's 65 hours total). Every GTA IV day is 48 minutes of real time. That means a 40 hour game will take roughly 133 days of game time, or a little over 4 months.


Multiplayer

Here's all the multiplayer...that we know about. Pull out your trusty cellphone and dial up the fun (but keep that party to 16 people, m'kay?).

Race
•Players race from one point to another with cars, boats and helicopters
•In Free Race mode, it's a start to finish race. In Canonball Run mode, players must hit checkpoints along the way

GTA Race
• It's Race mode with weapons that spawn along the way. Plus you traverse on foot.
• A tutorial mode is included.

Team Deathmatch
• Two to eight teams battle. As opposing teams are taken out, the winning team takes their cash.

Hangman's NOOSE
• Four players attempt to escort crime boss while avoiding SWAT team attack. Online only.

Team Mafiya Work
• Two to eight teams take separate contracts like stealing cars and escorting wanted men. The team who completes the most contracts in a certain time wins. Teams can also attack other teams.

Team Car Jack City
• Two to eight teams steal marked cars that spawn on the map. Whichever team delivers the most to the chop shop (in the best condition, or containing drug bonuses) wins the most cash and wins the game.

Turf War
• Two teams capture control points (or "bases") in a game very similar to Team Fortress 2. Controlling points equals cash. Cash equals winning.

Cops 'n Crooks
• Two teams only. One team are crooks who need to escort their boss safely. One team are cops who must bust the boss.
• All for One mode works as described above. One for All mode ditches the boss, and the crooks must escape with no respawning.

Co-op Campaign
• Our own Brian Crecente described it only as a "short co-op campaign," not a full co-op game ala Crackdown.

Other Interesting Multiplayer Tidbits:
• Characters can level up, peaking at level 10.
• All games are played on same Liberty City map.
• Liberty City map is fully explorable in all game modes.

Rockstar Social Club
Rockstar has announced a website called the Rockstar Social Club, and the first game it supports will be GTA IV. Among plenty of other services, the club will track the first player to complete 100% of the game and the fastest single-player participants over time.

GTA IV Music and Amazon
If you like any of the 200 songs that play in the game and have signed up at the Rockstar Social Club, just text message a special code through your in-game cellphone. Over time, a playlist will be built from the selected tracks which can be purchased DRM-free through Amazon for about $2 a pop.


FAQ

What's the deal with downloadable content?
Extra "episodes" will be exclusive to the Xbox 360. Sony has said that PlayStation 3 owners will get some type of DLC.

What's better about GTA IV?
• No load screens, ever (UPDATE: Stephen Totilo reports that the game indeed has sporadic, brief loads. However, there are no actual loading screens. Word fun.)
• Autosaving
• Liberty City will remember the damage you've caused.
• Euphoria engine brings AI physics to falling, getting hit, etc.
• Every street is named
• GPS support
• Targeting no longer sucks.

What vehicles will the game feature?
Cars, motorcycles, boats and helicopters. No planes.

Will there be storyline co-op?
As we said above, yes, but it won't be nearly the complete game.

That hardly a "compendium" I've see other websites which list all know weapons to date
and that GTA 4 has a Gears of War type cover system
Much of what the press knows about GTA 4 is still under "embargo" means if tehy talk about it they get in trouble.

So like you must break cars glass then press another button to start the car (car are no longer magically unlocked)

Sometimes cars won't start and you have to hit the button a few times

You can throw people and items in the trunk

its the first GTA game with animals pets etc. dogs cats

also from the looks of it Rockstar licenced real cars for GTA 4 so that a real LAmborghini with a real Lambo emblem.

The cover system is going to be pretty sweet.

Al to expand on my earlier comments which are taken from various sources.

I don't think you can carry more than 2 weapons or 3 at a time. Unlike past GTA games where you just magically invisibly carried a M-16 and rocket launcher and like 8 different guns in your pocket.

You know have to carry items in your car trunck, there was also soe notion of "ownership" of your vehicles

Rockstar wanted to make the player care about his or her vehicle unlike past GTA game where you jack any car at any time and you could care less about your car.

At some point Rockstar also wanted to have GTA vehicles actually Use GAS and you would have to refuel but I think that idea was scraped.

The gas idea is just annoying. it would be like having to go to the bank after you make money :)

Its just annoying how this gets passed off as a "compendium" when 50% of what has been leaked is missing.

Regardless GTA 4 has alot of secrets still to be released however the game media is under Embargo from Rockstar as to what they can talk about.

For example these guys had a game session for the press at the super exclusive and secure hotel The Chateau Marmont.

One of the new things that even I didn't know about is that the GTA 4 World remembers your past actions. So crashing that Helicopter into the church in downtown will probably be noticed. You'll probably build up a reputation and be recognized kinda like the system in FABLE where when you walked into a town people feared you and ran away if you were evil. Or cheered you as a Hero.

Theres also a separate button to Flash your cars headlights in addition to the normal honking the horn.

I understand why GTA 4 is smaller than San Andreas its much more detailed and interactive yet its the same 9GB DVD size so they sacrificed quantity for quality. High res textures also take up more space.

I understand that we can not fly planes at all so in essence there are less vehicles thans San Andreas.

I just hope there are more cars and trucks etc that you can drive. Also there are just a handfull of weapons Unlike Sand Andreas where you could pick up and empty glass bottle

GTA 4 seems to have about only 10 total weapons which is what worries me about the game more than anthing. Rockstar may have gone overboard trying to make the game realistic.

Sorry I was referring to the missions. The one I'm talking about was to crash into a building... think this was the ending of the game originally

However Saints Row will have planes and they have Skyscrapers so do the math

San Andreas pre-dated 9-11

and on the PC People MOD San Andreas to re-create 9-11 down to the detail of fire fighters on scene. The Twin tower and even San Andrea AI character jumping and blood splattering on the ground.


I don't have GTA San Andreas on PC but my buddy does. He loaded up a mod where you can be CJ

on a Hijacked plane fight your way to the cockpit and try and steer the plane clear and land safely

However there is a parachute on teh plane and we would usually just jump out

Or you can Pilot the San Andra Harrier and try and shoot down the planesbefore they hit the Tower in one of the missions

The one gripe I had about San Andreas was the whole "go to the gym" thing. I didn't think that the whole weightlifting or exercise bike thing was all that fun (though the karate stuff was OK.)

Microsoft has been touting the fact that the Xbox 360 version of GTA IV will include exclusive downloadable content (which they paid handsomely for). But we still haven’t gotten any specific details on just what that content will consist of. Well it seems an upcoming CVG magazine special contains a passage that explains with just how big the new DLC is expected to be. To summarize: it’s not just big, it’s freakin’ huge! The passage explains:

“Of course, to call games as vastly ambitious as Vice City or San Andreas mere ‘expansion packs’ seems childish, but nevertheless, the downloadable content (DLC) coming for the Xbox 360 version of IV has repositioned those games in just this way. With me it's not so much the 5 minute install time, it's that I'm just hoping that you don't have to install a 5-6 gigabyte file every time you play a new game. This would eat up space on my 40 gig hard drive pretty quick.

As new games come out, you would have to start deleting old game files to make room for new ones. Then, if you want to go back and play an old game, you have to wait for it to download again.

I know that this is all solved by getting a bigger hard drive, and not really that big of a deal. However, a lot of people aren't going to look at it like that.

In the back of our fanboy minds we're all fully aware that Microsoft's $50 million Grand Theft Auto IV DLC purchase will give 360 gamers an extra bullet point over the competition all while giving us more GTAIV to love. But never in our wildest dreams did we think the 360 exclusive GTAIV DLC would be huge, new city huge ... but that's what the latest rumor is on the streets.

A GTAIV article that ran in the print edition of CVG claims that DLC expansions "are to GTA IV what Vice City or San Andreas were GTA III" and that "Rockstar is clearly hinting at new downloadable cities". Expansions that could open Liberty City up to suburbs, entirely new cities or returning classics like San Andreas or Vice City. We don't want to get too excited seeing that such DLC talk is planted firmly in the rumor garden, but if the DLC turns out to be new city size in scale then we'd dance around our house like little GTAIV school girls. Supposedly, yes. Both systems will receive DLC but MS' is "exclusive". No, real, word on what the DLC is for either system.

24 Hour Walmart. Did it with SSBB and plan on doing it with this game as well.

I remember the day Halo 3 came out. I went to Best Buy that same day (not to buy Halo 3) at around noon and there was still a good 75+ copies left. Since then I never even worry about games selling out on release day. If Halo 3 still has that many copies left over, then what are the chances I won't be able to find GTA IV. Especially since its multi-platform and sales will be spread across the different systems.

Plus I have 2 Targets, 3 Walmarts, 3 Gamestops/EBgames, TRU, Bestbuy, and Circuit City all within 10 miles of each other.

Yeah I wouldn't worry about it selling out.

Usually any game that doesn't involve peripherals (GH and RB) is easy enough to get on day one if you really want it.

The guide describes that two associates should be manning the register, with one to ring up customers and the other to pass along the requested game version. My wife is pretty good about video games. She understands 1- 2 hours. But she will never get why or how I could play a game for 6-7-8 hours :)

I would never attaend ANY game launch at ANY Walmart because what ends up happening is that 200 people are trapped inside the small "electronics section" so instead of a Giant Mass Retailer with 20 registers You are essentially trapped in a 50x30 foot section with 2 Registers.

So Walmat ends up creating this HUGE line of people unnecessarily and the people start cutting and skipping in line and ist a mess.

Hmmm. I went to the midnight release of Smash Bros and everything was fine. Maybe because It's not as big of a release as GTA but still. I got there at 11:30 and was the only one there. They announced to the 15-20 people around midnight that were there that they would sell the game at 12:05am.

Sony Europe Confirms Grand Theft Auto IV PS3 Bundle

Rumored for some weeks, officials from Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) have confirmed the release of an official Grand Theft Auto IV bundle exclusively for the PlayStation 3.

The bundle will be available on Tuesday April 29th – the same day as the long-awaited Rockstar North-developed game is also released in Europe.

The package will include the 40GB model of the PlayStation 3 (the only version currently being sold in Europe), a Sixaxis controller and a copy of the game.

The bundle will be priced at €439 ($700), compared to the €399 ($636) for the previously reported Gran Turismo 5: Prologue and Blu-ray movie bundles.

Despite Microsoft creating a significant marketing campaign for the game, with television adverts promoting only the Xbox 360 logo, there is no equivalent official bundle for the format in Europe.

“We are delighted to offer the millions of PS3 and GTA fans the ultimate gaming package,” said David Reeves, president of SCEE.

ive played all the gta and i dont remember the steering looking like that when im driving the car. maybe ive never notice it, the driving just looks light. im sure itll handle great like all the other gta's. ive just never took notice to it without a controller in my hand.

but the fishtailing is prevalent throughout multiple cars, not just the big cars, but also the police cars. Anyways I'm holding out judgement until I play the final game myself. I will say though that the bike handling looks very spot on.

doubt it. Most peopl don't know / care about this. The game will sell like hotcakes no matter what happens this week.

Here's how I going to plan it, my brother already has Tuesday and Wednesday off, so I'm going to take Wednesday off too. This way we can camp out at the Walmart.

I camped out at the Wal-mart for 360 release it was blast. There was alot SWAG and fun waiting on line. Should be another great experience.

Here's how I going to plan it, my brother already has Tuesday and Wednesday off, so I'm going to take Wednesday off too. This way we can camp out at the Walmart.

I camped out at the Wal-mart for 360 release it was blast. There was alot SWAG and fun waiting on line. Should be another great experience.

trailers are mostly cgi work and very few gameplay moment showing any sort of real definition to the game in hand, articles only tell and shows stills of the game. the only real presentation of a game is to either buy the game or to see gameplay. and after watching the feeds it doesnt ruin the experience (because all gta are basically the same, in a sense of mission based) just better graphics, which just makes me realize how good the game is.

Nah, more hassle than it's worth. I just did something better.

I looked at the JR.com deal and UPS 2nd business day shipping is $7. So I just ordered this and canceled the Amazon order. $57 shipped and I should have it on Wednesday. That works for me. Considering tax, I save $8 and the hassle of going and finding it.

For those wanting to know which version looks better, the edge goes to the PS3. The textures and framerate are comparable, but the PS3 has far less pop-in. The 360 has richer colors, but the PS3 has better anti-aliasing making it look a little cleaner. Because GTA IV can preload onto the PS3 hard drive, the in-game loads are faster. Don't worry Xbox owners, the load times are rarely more than 30 seconds and don't occur very often. The slight visual edge goes to PS3, but the 360 is no slouch. Either version will do you proud.

Nothing really has been said about it. Supposedly more info will come in the fall. MS has made claims that they would be equivalent to what Vice City was to GTA3. Of course none of it is substantiated...

Jack Thompson, the anti-GTA lawyer, has fumed at the production of the "murder simulator" GTA IV in a letter sent to the MUM of Rockstar boss Strauss Zelnick.


Thompson suggested that she should be "ashamed of herself" in the letter, which has been reported on in the Metro.

"The pornography and violence that your son traffics in is the kind of stuff that most mothers would be ashamed to see their son putting into the hands of other mothers' children," he ranted.

"Maybe you, Mrs Zelnick, were so taken by your handsome son that you spared the rod and spoiled the child. That would explain why he has brought you, by the way he presently acts, to shame."

He goes on to claim that experts hold GTA and Strauss' "entrepreneurial energy", in part, responsible for a "plethora of cop killings".

It gets better: "Your son, this very moment, is doing everything he possibly can to sell as many copies of GTA IV to teen boys. If you trained up Strauss to do this, then shame on you," he said.

We'd love to have been in Mrs Zelnick's 'How to Sell a Murder Simulator' classes.

"What you will see in your son's game," he added, "if this iteration is anything like its predecessors, is incredible interactive violence aimed at police offers (whom you can shoot in the head and see the blood spray), innocent bystanders (whom you can run over with your car just for the heck of it)."

Then he tries pulling on the heart strings. "Happy Mothers' Day, Mrs Zelnick, which this year is May 11, two weeks after your son unleashes porn and violence upon other mothers' boys. I'm sure you're very proud."

I'm getting the 360 version now as I don't have a PS3 plus I want the DLC. The PS3 version will be strictly for playing multiplayer with my cousins. We use to do 12 hour gaming sessions of Socom back in the day and the same will happen with this. But they think Xbox completely sucks, so I'll pay the extra $60 for another copy of GTA once I get the PS3

I won't break down along Fanboy lines. But a 10 rated game I am glad the 360 DLC is exclusive.

And as far as the 360 problems like "texture pop in" and "antialaising" I would like to put things in perspective. Halo 3 and I think COD4 have no AA and few have complained

Its not clear if GTA 4 has 2xAA on 360 and 4xAA on the PS3.

As far as "texture pop-in" I think this is similar to what happened in Gears of War and it was not major issue. and could be solved witha software update.

this is not like Madden 2008 where the PS3 version ran at 30fps and the 360 version ran at 60fps (thats a deal breaker)


I also suspect that probelms on the 360 would be worse if you have a 360 Arcade with no HDD at all.

Also Premium white 360's have a 20GB HDD which has 2MB cache buffer and a 100MB/sec data transfer rate, where as ELITE 360's with a 120GB HDD have a 8MB cache buffer and 150MB/sec data transfer rates.


(Its also unclear if during the IGN GTA 4 review if a 360 was used connected via Component or HDMI? or if the PS3 was connected via HDMI or Componenet these have posed a problem with previous games aspect ratio strecthing and not being TRUE 16:9 Bioshock comes to mind)

So I wonder what GTA 4's true "native" resolution is maybe 655p ??? And what the resolution native is on PS3 it may not be the same. 540p hence the slight performance boost.

i got to spend 10 minutes on the game yesterday at work on 360. Dont ask me how we got it. Anyways, the game was just as expected, totally worth waiting and buying. In the old games u cannot steal a Cop car if it's locked but in GTA4 u can steal any car by breaking the windows. I stole a limo, and the driver's hand somehow got stuck as the door closed, dragging him on the side through many blocks, and finally rubbed him off by side-swiping another car. One of the fun aspects of the game is bullying people on the streets. Each character responds to bully in different way, some will cry after one push, other will say something and walk away...

anyways...ill stop spoiling the game here....3 more days to go!! :yummy:

In fact the differences are so slight that to put things in persepective past PS3 games have recieved lower scores graphically or just lower in general?

I this case the games was scored identically. Regardless of the fact that the PS3 has a 50GB disk capable of storing uncompressed textures, and the ability to load games faster because much of it is pre-installed.


We need to wait and see. and be patient to see.

theres also a reason why the PS3 has a more "muted" brownish tones to the games color palate, It too technical to explain and I don't know enough but it could explain why the PS3version has less texture pop in.

For instance if the PS3 version was forced to render the entire rich vibrant color spectrum the 360 does. The PS3 would suffer way worse texture pop-in so. in an effort to tax the cpu and gpu less the PS3 renders fewer colors and more brown tones.

Where as Rockstar the devloper found the amount of texture pop-in accpetable on the 360 and opted to display the entire rich color spectrum and not sacrifice it like they did on the PS3.

I think theres will be a shocking reason why the PS3 version looks more brown and has a reduced color palate.

Such a disappointment. They played for no more than 5-10minutes and talked about it. Then they returned to regular scheduled programming.

IGN just put about a load of gameplay videos though. Including some nice multiplayer ones.

I've noticed in general that G4TV always seems well behind the curve compared to scouring the net for information, in general. Every time I try to watch something on that channel, it's "been there, seen that."

Had the gameplay footage not been leaked, the 10 min of gameplay in G4 would've definitely gotten a different response. Still, I'm sure enough people tuned in to watch.

It’s not just multiplayer that helps this out, though it really does help. The fixed co-op missions can be played over and over again with friends, and the regular story line is worth playing through at least twice, if just to see both endings.

The Grand Theft Auto IV video dump

With today's dissolution of the embargo on all things Grand Theft Auto IV, came a veritable deluge of reviews and media related to the game. By now, we've seen all the teasers released by Rockstar, and read the write-ups which were hidden behind the floodgates just a few hours ago. However, in this maelstrom of perfect scores and cinematic trailers, there hasn't been much in the way of actual gameplay footage -- until Gametrailers cracked open their secret stash, revealing a bevy of cutscenes, car chases, and call girls just aching to be viewed by the impatient crime drama enthusiast. We've got some highlights after the jump; those purposefully trying to remain in the dark would be well advised to steer clear. You've been warned!

I am psyched for GTA 4 however I am bumed about a few steps backwards

#1. I have not seen Niko "Dual wielding" handguns not sure if its possible very sad
#2. Can't ride skate boards or bicycles like in San Andreas
#3. You can not own property like in past GTA games
#4. No wacky fun items like a Jet Pack or a Parachute
#5. No air planes ?? You know this was left out on purpose to sell DLC extra content
#6. You can not Alter your apperance like in San Andreas (eat too much Pizza and you get fat) or different hair or beard styles or tatoos that was cool in SA
#7. I have not seen mentioned cool gadgets like in San Andreas. like C4, Remote control explosives, Night Vision goggles Thermal goggles, bullet proof vests, mini-gun, flamethrower etc.
#8. No Police motorcycles (I have no seen any) please I hope this is not so I hope to be proved wrong..SA Had 12 diff bikes GTA 4 has about 5 total.
#9. Modifying cars with Nitrous N2O or new RIms or spoilers or colors No modifying bikes.

I guess I'm nit picking especially on planes If you can fly planes in GTA on PSP they can do it on 360 and PS3 they opted to leave it out.

It could be that R* felt since they advanced the graphics, created a more life-life city, etc. they felt the need to remove some of the aesthetic or gimmicky things to give it a more life-like experience.

I think they do have base jumps, no/ At least i thought so.

No previous GTA had skateboards. They did have the bike though. which was pretty cool.

The nitrous was kinda dumb. your car was cool with it, then ti would explode and there goes the investment.

I thought there were policy motorcycles.

Dno't care much about the airplanes, at least there is the helicopter. That's more useful anyway than the plane.

Yes SA had dual wielding you could dual wield 2 same pistol or 2 diff pistols even two Uzis's or Mac 10's or a Uzi or Pistol combo

My fav combo was a Silenced 9mm for quite work infiltrating and in the other hand a Mac 10 if I was detected.

I the end I said I was nitpicking But some of those items could have been left alone.

I hope there are Police motorcycles they were the coolest.
