Despite Activision's early claims of mass-Marvel action in 2008, it appears that the sequel to Marvel Ultimate Alliance won't be hitting shelves this year, after all. The delay is possibly an attempt to avoid dividing sales between the title and Spiderman: Web of Shadows, which is due out this fall.

Reporting from the NYC Comic-Con, UGO Gamesblog spoke with an Activision representative, who stated that the action RPG sequel will not be seeing a release in 2008. The original game (pictured above) was released in 2006 to largely favorable reviews.

I hated the first one... What a pain that game was. The online was horrible laggy, games would drop out of nowhere, and the difficulty on some of the comic missions were insanneeeee

You got to be kidding right... games have gotten much easier to beat now its ridiculous.. Have you ever played Mega Man 1 for old skool NES.. That game was a bit**, you can spend countless hours on it and it was still unbeatable.. Maybe the controls sucked or lagged but that game was truly hard

I beat mega man 1 and 2 lol.

The game was hard if u did it on solo and tried running thru it.. bosses would kill you near the end in two hits @_@

I am waiting for 2 to come out....It is one of the games my girlfriend enjoys playing with me!

I enjoyed M.U.A. I'll probably get 2, but I'm not waiting eagerly for it.

I didn't even know a sequel was coming out. I really enjoyed playing through the first one. Currently I managed to track down the Platinum Hits version for the 360 and I'm playing through it with some of the new characters.

PC had unlimited DLC for that game. Check out google for a site that has a massive list of user created heroes for MUA. Some of the hero mods were pretty impressive and very well done.

If you want a crappy game then go play Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Or Gears of War 2. The smart 360 owners play gems like 99 Nights and Warriors Orochi anyway - at least I do. The masses don't appreciate those titles because they're too stupid to play them. Stupid is as stupid does.

yup mavelmods is the website.. PC version is the definitive one.. THE version to get out for MUA.

I have ultimate alliance... it was o.k.... after playing games like fallout 3 and dead space... my expectations have risen dramatically... I love marvel, but i can't play every game. This is a toss up for me right now.
