I purchased the PS3 the day of the cut off, and sent in the forms about 6 days later. I received my 5 DVD's about a month ago.

I ordered in july. Finally got them in March. The people running the rebates are really slow but be patient and they will come when you least expect it.

I bought the my HD DVD player from Wal-mart in November for $106. I submitted the HD DVD rebate for the 5 free HD DVDs in December and got them 3 weeks ago. I ended up selling them for $40 plus returned the player to Wal-mart for $106. Picked up the add-on for the Xbox on the cheap so I could watch them movies I bought though.

I went to CC before the 50% sale started to buy a couple and PM later the next week, when I went back a few days later they were all gone. They had quite a few in the store I went to when I originally went, so I serious doubt someone every single one they had. I'm thinking they pulled them before the sale was even over....just my opinion though.

I mailed in the copy of the UPC and the price sticker (which had a upc code on it) and a note stating this is what the manager said i had to do to get my $30 rebate (which i received). Then I sent the ORIGINAL UPC code along witht the rebate form for the HD-DVD movies. You tried just the opposite which is why they did not accept yours. Im still sure Ill receive my movies I just highly doubt I will receive the exact selection of movies I picked.

mine took 4 months, only 1 was what i ordered, but the other four were better movies so i can't complain.

I recommend anyone that hasnt gotten theirs call 1-800-405-7520 if your interested to know if they have shipped your movies or not. I just got off the phone with them and they stated they sent them out on May 2nd and i should allow up to 4 weeks for delivery....I also asked if my exact selections had been filled and she said nope that most of them were replaced with other hd-dvds... :mad: I guess I really dont care as long as i dont get that U2 rattle and hum bs.... I really wanted Troy though so i hope that comes ....all the other ones I could care less about... anyways... call the number there is a 5-10 minute wait time though....

I heard they were still sending The Italian Job and Swordfish(and maybe Babel). But as far as everything else, its pretty much a crap shoot. I'm like you, I don't need The Departed(combo edition) cuz I just recently bought it at Hollywood video as part of the 2/$20 deal. Not that it would be a bad pick up, but I'd hate to have to ebay it since I already own it.

I got mine about 2 weeks ago from my purchase end of January.

Im usually the same way!... I hate making copies of all the forms and and receipts and crap like that then readin the small print and making sure i have everthing then having to address the envelope and everything im always afraid i missed or forgotten something after ive sealed the envelope and have to rip it open and check and make sure everythings right again :whee: then have to address another envelope and send it out :lol:

Waiting for a Blu-Ray rebate offer to come thru now so I can buy one of those.

I finally received my hd-dvds in the mail a few days ago. Mine also came via usps and the packaging was opened. Out of the five i picked,I only received two that i wanted. None of these movies fit my 32 inch hdtv screen. What sucks is that you don't even get the option to stretch it with the hd-dvd add on. You are basically stuck watching hd-dvd movies in letterbox format (lame).

If blue-ray is the same way,screw them too. I am glad i only paid twenty bucks for a dead format.

The only good thing is that regular dvds are upgraded and that i don't have to put the wear and tear on my 360 viewing dvds while using the hd-dvd player.

And i get the option to stretch it to fill the screen.

That was the cut off to buy the hd-dvd player and still be eligible (thats the day I bought mine or the day before :D). The cut off date to send the rebate form was 3/31/08...

Same here, but they said I should be receiving them in 2-3 weeks (said it's in the packaging stage). Sent my form in on 2/28. I liked Smoking Aces alot and had just ordered it from amazon for like $15 but canceled it because they canceled a price mistake on me for the blu-ray box set of Mission Impossibles.... I have an unopened copy of The Departed HDDVD (which is great but i have it on blu-ray already) to trade for it if you want :D

Just called them for an updated status and mine is still in the "packaging / processing" stage. Said it should be shipped out soon and that I should wait 2-3 weeks for it to arrive.

I was somewhat disappointed w/ what i got....but at least I didn't get any duplicates of what I already have. Considering they are free I can't complain. I'll probably keep all of them except Billy Madison. Never seen the whole movie, but from what I have seen I don't really care for it.

Not me personally but my buddy sent away for the 5 HD-DVD's after the purchase cutoff date (photoshop is a beautiful thing), and received them yesterday.

In other news, both my buddy and I sent our blu-ray rebate with the last date possible postmarked and we both got them last week.

So 10 free HD movies within a week for my buddy... yeah, he is pretty happy.

I got 8 hd-dvd's that i was really wanting for only $55 shipped.... :nod: this is the kinda sale i was waiting on!

Oh wow... so I shared the number w/my friend who was on the same deal, and this is what they did:

So I called that number yesterday, and when I got home I had a postcard in the mail from them saying that they don’t expect my DVDs to ship until September 1st. We’ll see if they can beat that estimate.

Yeah those Deep Discount and Inetvideo(?) HD-DVD were very hard to pass up! Im excited to get mine.... lol that would suck if i went and checked the mail and both companies had sent me a post card that my orders were delayed :whee: (not that they are doing that to anyone it would just be my luck)

You can complain all you want when its a an advertised contractual offer - 8-10 weeks they said and 8-10 weeks they are legally obliged to meet.

Contact your Attorney General's office in your state and you get to complain and get results all you want... So many people give up way too easily or make worthless complaints to the local BBB instead (which is a private membership company) when your state's very own laws already cover this and can resolve this quickly.

I got my 8 hd-dvds that i purchased from inetvideo that i only paid $55 for the other day :) now im waiting on the other 3 i ordered from deep discount.... one of them is transformers which you said you got for free... that is one of the hd-dvds that they still charge a premium for over other hd-dvds so you got a good one :) I got stuck with Harry Potter too but i did get Italian Job which i wanted and love its a great movie :nod: Im glad to see them still sending out movies and honoring their rebate even if some people are getting delay notice....

yeah i got all those and 4 other decent ones.. 9 out of 10 decent to good movies is pretty good IMO for a free rebate offer
