We didn't get those. :( Are they for any coupon or a specific kind of item?

WE DIDN'T GET THOSE EITHER. Sorry for the caps!
My store dbls to $1 so I will be getting some V8 Soup, Coke 12pks, Freihofer's bread, satin care shave gel along with some lucky charms, NV granola bars and frosted cheerios.
Nothing great that really popped out at me.

I wish my stores doubled $1.
The only good thing I saw this week was Pepperidge Farm breads are B1G1. Some papers got coupons for 50 cents off (they're for "vitality" but I think they'll still work). There was also a blinkie machine in the bread aisle but it was out of coupons so I don't know how much they were for. The bread is $3.99 minus $2 (two 50 cent coupons doubled), makes it $1 per loaf.

I think they do vary but we also have the Freihofer's sale (on the front page) and PF is on page 9.

Your Price Choppers let you use 2 coupons on a BOGO? I've avoided their BOGO sales because the register would beep when the 2nd coupon was scanned. (The screen said something about 2 coupons on a BOGO. The front end supervisor had said something stupid like "we can't PAY you to take the 2nd item. And I think my card wasn't scanned yet either.) Its been awhile, definitely over a year, maybe even 2, since I used coupons with a BOGO sale there. (I'm in NY, if that matters.)
Thanks!

Yes, the last time I did that was probably a couple months ago and both coupons went through fine. I think at one store the card has to be scanned last but at the other stores it doesn't matter. I don't know, it's so confusing.
Btw, I'm in central NY.

Thank you so much for the info on the BOGOs and coupons! Looks like I'm going to haveto keep a better eye on the sales so that I can get the FAC stuff for the chuch's food pantry!
Things that jump out at me:
1. Speed Stick- B1G2 free. I could have sworn there were Speed Stick coupons out there. I only found 1 lonely auction on Ebay, so *somewhere* someone got 75/1 SS coupons that expire 3/21.
2. Smart Water $1 each- I seem to always get the $1/1 PC Qs from the ISAVE machine. (Well, only once was it $1/1 when it was on sale. Otherwise, it gave me 40c/1 Qs.)
3. Full Circle Organic Refried Beans- 99c each- I normally get a $1/2 Full Circle coupon from the ISAVE machine, so 49c a can for refried beans seems pretty good. (Especially organic.)
This really isnt a deal specific to this week, but if you get the $1/2 Price Chopper Naturals from ISAVE, the Price Chopper organic pastas (with the natural foods in some stores, with the pasta in others) are $1.69. I normally get the organic whole wheat. If you do organic or whole wheat, $1.19 is a good price for a box of pasta.

Vaseline Lotion 2.99 - 1.00 = .99
Band Aids 2.00 - 1.00 = free
Tyson Chicken Patties/Nuggets 2.00 - 1.00 = free
Marcal Napkins 1.99 - 1.00= free
Quaker Simple Harvest Bars 1.99 - 1.00= free
Anything else you guys see...
FYI: Since PC has a 50% coupon rule I add a $25 GC to my transactions. I have been using the same card for a while now and I just use it to pay for a new one. That way I don't have to buy unnecessary stuff and my coupons still double. HTH

That is a great idea, I just realized this last week that the register automatically will not double once it hits 50%, lost out on a few then started just getting extra stuff (some with no coupons :shake: ) I would much rather do this!
Special K is on sale 2/$5, not a great deal but worth it if you LOVE Special K...would you believe that my store was sold out of the chocolate kind by Tuesday, and we didn't even get any coupons to go with it...so weird.

I love that gift certificate idea!
Check out the natural foods area. The past couple weeks, my store (in central NY) has been putting markdown stickers on various items that are about to expire. Most end up being about half price. Stuff like cereal, soy/almond/rice milks (shelf stable), cookies, rice mixes, gluten free items, and chips.
I also noticed that the Full Circle refried beans are still 99 cents (till the 21st). Use with the $1/2 Full Circle ISAVE coupon.

My DH was the one that came up with the idea since I was always looking for extra things to buy. He recently stopped drinking beer and I was sad only because that was what absorbed my coupon total every week. Now I don't need to worry. I hope you guys can do it too and that it helps
Thanks for the idea on the marked down stuff and it is a good price for Special K but I don't like them. I would rather eat the junky Cocoa pebbles

I made out like a bandit today at Price Chopper! I went with MIL, who just got home from vacation. They had Tropicana juice on sale 2/$5, and there were about 8 1/2 gallons that were going out of date on the 23rd. Each one had store coupons totaling an additional $1.50 off. I have a giant freezer and just defrost stuff as I need it, so the "sell by" date doesnt matter much to me.
I also took full advantage of Price Chopper's "Dairy Guarantee." Basically, if you find an expired dairy product on the shelves, bring it to the checkout/customer service and they will give you a similar non-expried dairy product for free. They don't advertise it much anymore, but they used to have info in their weekly ad about it (on the dairy page) and little advertisemetns hanging off the side of the dairy shelves. (Half the cashiers don't know anything about it either. I normally have to go to a supervisor or go to customer service.) Anyways, it seems like the dairy people neglect the dairy cooler of the natural foods area. I had spoken to various managers multiple times about how its ridiculous that I'm doing *their* job by pulling $75+ worth of expired dairy and produce (tofu, veggie dogs, etc) products off their shelves and telling them that it should have been marked down before it went out of date. (They toss everything that's out of date, which IMO is disgusting b/c most of it is still fine to consume and there's so many hungry people out there.) I foudn 7 packages of organic ready to bake cookies, 3 packages of Stonyfield 6 packs of yogurt, 1 Tropicana OJ, and 2 half gallons of organic milk. YMMV on the cashier/supervisor/customer service rep giving you unlimited dairy guarantees, but I ended up with $52 worth of stuff for free today because of the guarantee! (I got 4 free 6 packs of yogurt yesterday too!)

:lmao: Oh, yeah. They can keep on loving me too, as I walk out the door with $50+ worth of free food. I'm going to go back on the 23rd too, to get tons of free organic heavy cream and half and half for free, because I know the morons won't mark it down. The lady who runs our church's food pantry really will love me though!
I did have a pissy front end supervisor this evening, who gave me a hard time for all the store coupons on all the marked down grocery and dairy items i got. The register will only take 1 per item, and after that, a supervisor has to log in. I tell the cashier this every time I come in the line, and they're amazed when the register stops taking the coupons and they still have a stack left. She wanted to know how many OJs I had, how much they cost, how much the cottage cheese was, etc. Uh, lady, just shut up and scan the damn coupons!

Hmm this sounds a little on the snotty side....I assume you didnt mean it that way you just typed it wrong! I mean they should love her she does the work and doesn't even expect to get paid (well other than the free stuff:bounce: ) what I hate is when they dont even appreciate it, one of my stores (not my PC but I may have to look a little closer) is constantly selling expired goods and they act like I am inconveniencing them when i point it out, hello ?!?! I am NOT here to do your job and if i'm gonna well then I at least want some appreciation!
Ok on topic, Special K (and some other Kellogs too) is on sale again for $2.50. Yesterday I got 5 boxes using .70/1 doubled to $1.40/1 so $5.50 for 5 boxes and then 2 FREE gallon milk cats, I was one happy girl:woot:

I foudn 7 packages of organic ready to bake cookies, 3 packages of Stonyfield 6 packs of yogurt, 1 Tropicana OJ, and 2 half gallons of organic milk. YMMV on the cashier/supervisor/customer service rep giving you unlimited dairy guarantees, but I ended up with $52 worth of stuff for free today because of the guarantee! (I got 4 free 6 packs of yogurt yesterday too!)
Okay, SD confessional moment....
I've known and loved this guarantee for months but havent told anyone b/c I was afraid of competition for the rotten eats at my local store... but, yes, i love dairy guarantee

Here's a good scenario even if they go by sale price... FYI my store only allows 4 of the same coupon, and doubles 75 cent coupons to $1, and doesn't double $1 coupons.
$ 7.96 - 4 Skippy Peanut Butter
$ 9.92 - 4 Breyer's Ice Cream
$ 7.92 - 8 Knorr Lipton Sides
$10.00 - 4 Bertolli Pasta Sauce
$ 5.00 - 2 County Crock
---------
$40.80
- $3.20 - 4 Skippy Coupons doubled
- $4.00 - 4 Breyer's Coupons doubled to $1
- $4.00 - 4 Knorr Coupons doubled to $1
- $4.00 - 4 Bertolli Coupons
- $1.80 - 2 Country Crock Coupons doubled
---------
$23.80 and get $20.00 catalina plus get a free ham or turkey up to $20.00 after MIR :woot2:

I just jumped on the Unilever deal. Items costs $42, then had $16 worth of coupons. So I spent $26, and got a $20 coupon for my next shopping trip. So does anyone know if the $40 spent for the free turkey or ham is before or after coupons? My receipt shows a subtotal of $42, but final cost was $26... which will they be looking at? I would think subtotal, but I might be wrong.

On the rebate form it says to circle each item and its price so I don't think they'll even look at the coupons. I've also never had a problem with rebates when I used coupons.
My only concern with the rebate is if we only buy $40 PSP. The receipts have the full price at the top but then at the bottom it says how much you save on each item with advantage card. I might play it safe on this one and buy $40 sale price.

Basically, if your pre-sale total was $20 for example, you'll be fine if your coupon total is $10 or less. So you could use five $1 coupons which in your case are doubled to $10. Anything over that can be used but won't be doubled. I always try to give the smaller value coupons first and the non-doubling coupons last. HTH

Would the 5th coupon still double? My Price Chopper only doubles 4 of the same coupon. :( (If I have a ton, I just go to Uscan and do multiple transactions in groups of 4 coupons. Then I do't piss off a whole line of people behind me.)

Has anyone confirmed whether the $20 cat is printing based on PSP or not? TY :)
My thought is that the Breyers must be at least $4 PS, so
10 ice creams = $25.00
minus $15 (.75q doubled x ten)
minus $20
puts me $10 ahead
If not I could get some skippy or country crock or whatever to boost the total. Then send in for the rebate. I think I am going to like this week. And the free ice cream.

Are you getting the Breyer's coupons on Ebay or another clipping service? We just got $1.00/2 Breyers q's in the Post Standard. Or do they like you "northerners" better and give you better coupons? ;)
Price CHopper might not double all 10 coupons if you do them all in 1 transaction. :( Its programmed "down south" to double the 1st 4. You might have to have them scan the card at the end or get something else (other things you need or gift certificates) so that you don't have to worry about the dreaded 50% rule. (Ugh, I hate that thing so much!)
Why can't they just take all the stupid coupon restrictions away like Wegmans? :please:

My stores registers will double more than four... but some cashiers wont, my closest store is really anal about that rule, but I have other options (fulton store is usually really good).
I hate that 50% rule too, i always just throw some fruit or meat in that we need anyway :) I think I am gonna start doing the GC though.
Hopefully I luck out with a cashier who doesn't enforce the limit 3 or four like rules:dontknow:
Either way $1.00 for a tub of Breyers is pretty good:drool:

Awesome run at Price Chopper this morning. I annoyed the crap out of about 3 cashiers and 2 supervisors. (That wasn't the awesome part.) The awesome part was getting over $100 worth of stuff for free!!!! Check those natural foods coolers! I got 17 dozen eggs, 8 bottles of kefir (like a yogurt/milk drink), and 11 yogurts free with the dairy guarantee! Had they had replacements for the 9 organic half and halfs that I found (or had someone who knew how to do the dairy guarantee been there), it would have been $140 worth of stuff.
I can't wait to see the expression on the face of the lady at the church's food pantry when I bring in all those eggs! (A few dozen eggs and the kefir are going to a friend who was recently laid off.)

Most of the cashiers at my local Price Choppers don't know anything about the dairy guarantee. I normally keep that stuff separate in my cart, and tell the casheir that its hte dairy guarantee and that customer service does it. I go there, tell the employee that i have an item/some items for their dairy guarantee. they scan the item, then they use the code 2009 (sometimes they dont know the code), then the price of the item. then they cash it out. sometimes they want your card, sometimes they want you to sign their copy of the receipt. they keep the expired item (normally putting it in a bag or scribbling out the UPC so that nobody buys it), and you get the nonexpired item free. the policy is a "comparable" item, but comparable means different things to different employees. a few weeks ago, one let me get organic pudding b/c there were no more organic yogurt packs. today, they would not let me get a different brand of the same item (1 dozen eggs and the half and half).
i had looked for info on it on the price chopper website, but didnt see anything.
oh, and some employees will only let you get 1 item (even if there's a whole shelf of expireds) and others will let you get as many as you find expireds of.
HTH! happy searching! :)

Mystic, and where did you see the info posted on the Dairy Guarantee?
I originally saw it in their weekly ad a few years ago. They also had signs all over the dairy department about it. I think they're trying to keep it on the down low, since most people (especially cashiers) don't know about it. Everyone at customer service and a couple supervisors at the store I frequent are familiar with it, so I guess that's all that matters.

average order ends up being about $16.00 after coupons so you have to remember to add a lil' sumthin .
tonight I will be adding meat lol
I mostly did the items with the deepest discounts and the best matching coupons.
especially the lipton sides
13.52 before savings and coupon , then the .75c/2 doubled to $1.50/2
its was 1.92 for 8 but it gave me 13.52 credit towards a new 20 off
country crock 3,89 - 1.39 = 2.50 - .45c doubled was $1.60 per tub
$15,56 psp - 5.56 = 10.00 - coupon .45c/1 doubled - 3.60 = 6.40 for 15.56 credit
right there is 29.08 toward new 20 off with only 8.32 oop
added 4 axe and 1 pb and you have psp 40+ and an after c/o total of $16.00 add a $4 -$6.xx item and roll ur 20 and your oop is just a couple of bucks !! I am loving it !!

2 country crock

after advantage saving =29.93

pay a few bucks and get a new 20 off !!

the page says ANY unilever product not just These listed here kinda makes me wonder if I cant buy other products and still get the deal since I am running out of coupons LOL
I did 6 orders last night
3 bryers
4 carress
1 axe
1 skippy
and a package of 7$ pork chops
cost after savings and coupons and 20 off = $2.02
of wich $1.52 was tax LOL
I did this 6 times using different items mostly 18 packs of coke , but always the same results I paid $2.02 to I think the highest one was $2.45 LOL
I was happy but the cashiers started questioning everything and getting weird saying isnt that 20 off one per person and manager corrected them and said NO one per transaction , she can do it as many times as she likes - as long as I am not doing multiple orders in a row, which I wasnt I did an order went to the car, and then back to store I was good !! LOLOL

the coupons arent going below 50% rule
4 carress psp 5.49 -1.50 - 1.00/1 doubled
1 - 18 pk coke 5.99 + .90 dep. - 1.00/1 doubled
2 - country crock psp 3.89 - 1.39 - .45c/1 doubled
3 - bryers psp 4.19 - 1.20 - .75/1 doubled
4 - vitamin water 1.25 - .25 - .50c/1 doubled
PSP = 54.20
advantage saving is 13.38
makes the order 40.82
coupons are 20.30
subtotal .20.52
minus the 20 off = .52
add tax 1.54
paid 2.06
I always hold my 20 off coupon til the last HTH
the only reason I am adding things is to bring my total up above 20.00 to use the 20 off
since I am out of bryer and lipton coupons I will not have to add thing tonight
will do 4 dove - 2 counrty crock and 1 skippy and pay the tax after coupons and 20 off because those items are more money :(

went in tonight found the vaseline blue bottle clearanced but not marked clearance was $1.87 - regular price 7.49
upc -305213109008 - vaseline firming
messed up my whole order because I never hit the psp of 40+ had to redo entire order UGH! :( but good side is I had 4 regular cause I was doing 2 orders per run. so I canceled second order and added from it to first and I gave cashier 6 1.00/1 and first 4 doubled to 2.00 and the second two doubled to 1.87 so thier limit 4 like coupons is self impossed and not register impossed LOL

I looked over the ad again, and maybe I just got spoiled with the Unilever deal last week, but this week seems pretty disappointing.
However, I will be getting my butt out of bed early tomorrow to head to Price Chopper to get some free milk. There was a TON (about 10) of half gallons of organic milk that was expiring today. My unemployed friend and the food pantry are going to be sooo excited! (I already made out like a bandit today, with about $100 worth of stuff from the organic section that had expired in the past day or two.)

I am trying to figure out if PC in Vermont will double a $1.00 coupon to mkae it $2.00. Anyone know? I used to shop there about 7 years ago and always got them doubled up to 2.00 and unlimited. I just heard they will only double the first two q's for each item. Then its face value for the rest. Bummer. Times are a changing. I used to do SO well back then. I have not couponed in a long time so I am rusty! I never had access to forums like this then either! This place rocks! I am excited to get on here and learn more.

Some of these cereal boxes also have instant cash prizes inside and I was lucky enough to find a $25, $5 and $5 cash card out of the 4 boxes. Supposedly the odds are 1 in 10 boxes has a prize.

there were $1 off pierogi coupons in 2 weeks ago paper, and they are only $2.69 a box regular price, and then you get the $3 catalina coupon when you buy 2, so if you have more than 1 coupon, you can get 2 boxes for free, and then the next two boxes for only $2 out of pocket.
also this week:
$1.74 st. ives body wash - $1.50 coupon in sunday paper = .24 each
colgate toothbrush $1 - $1 cpn from paper = free
colgate toothpast $1 - $1 cpn from paper = free
softsoap $1 - $.35 cpn = .65 or if you store doubles = .30
Ronzoni pasta 1/2 price (most are $.74 each) - $ 1/2 cpn = $.54 for 2 boxes of pasta (if your store doubles they are free)

Wish-Bone BOGO
Can I use 2 coupons on a BOGO item?
.75 cents doubles to 1.50 so possibly free
Not sure how much item costs.
Also this is a Unilever product so counts towards the $20. Does the Free item count towards the $20 like if the salad dressing cost (example) $3.00 would $3.00 count towards the total or would $6.00 count?
Also one more thing- does pricechopper count the $20 towards the regular price or sale price of items?
New at couponing.

Participating brands (from the list in my RP insert)
"Participating products include any size or variety of: Hellmann's mayonaise, Shedd's Spread Country Crock spread, Country Crock Side dishes, Wish Bone Salad Dressing, Skippy Peanut Butter, Ragu Pasta Sauce, Knorr Sides, Dove Hair Care, Sunsilk hair care, Dove Beauty Bar and Body wash, Lever 2000, Vaseline refreshing bar, caress bar and body wash, vaseline lotion, Dove deoderant, Degree deoderant, Dove skin care, Q-tips cotton swabs, Slim Fast products, Bertolli pasta sauce, Lipton tea, Lipton soup adn recipe mix, Pond's Skin Care, Lipton Recipe Secrets mixes, I can't Believe Its Not Butter spread, Promise Spread, Imperial Spread, Breyer's Ice Cream, Bertolli Frozen dinners, Suave Hair Care, Suave deoderant, Suave Body wash, Suave Hand adn Body lotion, Wish laundry detergent, Snuggle Fabric softener, All laundry detergent, Klondike bars, and popsicle frozen novelties.
****************************************
I think some good starters would be:
88 cent Suave shampoo and deoderant ($1/2 Qs)
$2 Dove/Degree deoderants ($1/1 Qs)
BOGO Wisk ($1.50/2 Q)
BOGO Wishbone ($1/1 Spritzers)
BOGO Lipton Tea mix ($1/2 Qs)
BOGO Caress (possible, depending on the regular price, and there's $1/1 Qs)
I might go later to get the regular prices and try the deal with the BOGOs. Last time, it was based on shelf price, not sale price. Using that logic, what's the difference between a BOGO and something being 50 cents off? A sale is a sale, right? (Or we shall find out, right?)
can you use an isaveToday coupon with a manufacturers coupon?
Only if it says "Store coupon" on the top. A lot of the ISave coupons are really manufacturer's coupons, so it cannot be combined with an insert coupon.

*****************************************************************
I did 2 transactions today. I did *not* get a catalina for the 1st, but *did* get one for the 2nd.
1st transaction
4 Suave shampoo (accidentally got the bigger ones that were $1.79, which I later exchanged), reg $1.99 each, sale $1.79 each, ---> $7.96, sale $7.16
2 Wishbone Salad Spritzers, reg $2.69 each, sale BOGO ----> $5.38 reg, $2.69 sale
3 Degree deoderant, $3.49 each reg, $2 each sale ---> $10.47 reg, $6 sale
= $23.81 subtotal
After card:
$15.85
Coupons:
$2= 2 x $1/2 Suave shampoo
$1/1 Wishbone Spritzers (Annoyed that the register beeped on the 2nd one and girl would not push it through, I emailed customer service about their idiotic policy)
$3.00= 3 x $1/1 Degree
Total:
$9.85 plus tax.
I went to customer service because the catalina didn't print. I also exchanged the wrong Suaves for the cheaper 88 cent ones. (Not sure if that woud have made a difference with the cat, since he just returned the bigger Suaves, then I bought the smaller ones vs returning and rebuying everything.)
So really, it would have been (sale prices listed):
Suaves: $3.52 (sale), ($1.19 each, so $4.76 regularly)
Wishbone: $2.69
Degree: $6
Subtotal before card: $20.61 (plus tax)
After card: $12.21 (plus tax)
After coupons: $6.21 (plus tax)
But no catalina printed. Not sure which one the issue was with. The guy at customer service was nice adn gave me $7 back though. :)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2nd transaction:
All detergent $6.49 (reg), $3.99 sale
3 x Lipton Sides, $1.79 each reg, 99 cents each sale ---> $5.37 (reg), $2.97 sale
6 x Suave deoderant, $1.49 reg, 88 cents each sale ---> $8.94, $5.28 sale
=$20.80 (subtotal)
After Advantage Card:
= $12.24
Coupons:
$1/1 All (ISave machine)
$1/3 Lipton Sides
$3.00 (3x $1/2 Suave deoderants)
= $7.24 plus tax, which I don't think is bad since I needed laundry detergent anyways, then I got the $7 catalina

You can use 1 coupon per item. Catalina promotion goes by PSP (pre sale price).
I am not sure about the free item counting. I asked the same question and have not gotten a reply yet.
Welcome to this thread :)
I've tried to use coupon on the free item from a b1g1 and it wouldn't go through :(

Same here (Wishbone Spritzers). I just sent an email to customer service, letting them know what a stupid policy this is. If the Wishbone had not been part of the Unilever deal, I would have had the cashier take them off. I had actually cut back shopping at Price Chopper a few years ago because of that idiotic policy. Why they have one policy for some stores in the chain and another for the rest is beyond me.

Yeah I just tried using 4 coupons on 4 Caress and after the second one they beeped. The cashier pushed the other 2 through. I *think* if you scan your advantage card last they will go through since they wouldn't have rung up B1G1 yet.
On a positive note I was able to roll the catalina. :)

I could always use laundry detergent, so I'm going to do this scenario a bunch of times:
2 Wisk (BOGO): $13.18 ----> $6.59
4 Knorr Lipton Sides, $7.16 ------> $3.96
= $20.34 before card, $10.55 after
Coupons:
2 x $0.75/2 Knorr Lipton Sides = $3.00 off
possible $1.50/2 Wisk Q (if the stars are aligned properly for the cashier to take it on a BOGO)
= $7.55 (plus tax) without Wisk Q, $6.05 (plus tax) with it
then get the $7 catalina!
------------------------------------------------------
4 Degree Deoderant: $13.96 -----> $8.00
1 All Small and Mighty detergent: $6.49 -----> $3.99
= $20.45 subtotal before card, $11.99 after card
Coupons:
$4.00 = 4 x $1/1 Degree (from Sunday's paper)
$1/1 All (from ISave)
= $6.99 (plus tax)
So after the catalina, you basiclly pay sales tax (roughly $0.96, based on 8% tax on subtotal after card)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Knorr Lipton sides are an excellent starter to a deal to get some bigger more expensive items really cheap or free after the catalina, if your store has them regularly $1.79 each and if you have a bunch of the $0.75/2 MFQs.
Basically, here's the breakdown of how much you'll get towards the $20, based on regular shelf price, and how much you actually pay after coupon:
2 Lipton sides: $3.58 reg, $.48 AC
4 Lipton sides: $7.16 reg, $0.96 AC
6 Lipton Sides: $10.74 reg, $1.44 AC
8 Lipton Sides: $14.32 reg, $1.92 AC
10 Lipton Sides: $17.90 reg, $2.40 AC (YMMV, if your store doubles more than 4 of the same Q)
12 Lipton Sides: $21.48 reg, $2.88 AC (YMMV, if your store doubles more than 4 of the same Q)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
2 x Lipton iced tea mix: $9.98 ------> $4.99
6 x Lipton Sides: $10.74 ------------> $5.94
= $20.72 subtotal (before card, $10.93 after card
Coupons:
$1.00 = $1/2 Lipton tea Q (from this sunday's insert)
$4.50 = 3 x $0.75/2 Lipton Qs (doubled, also from sunday's insert)
After coupons:
= $5.43 (if your stoer takes the $1/2 tea) OR = $6.43 (if your store will not take the $1/2 tea on a BOGO)
Plus, you get the catalina! There should be no tax (at least not in NY, but let's not give Gov Patterson any ideas here!), so its a MM!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
2 x Caress body wash: $10.98 ----> $5.49
6 x Lipton Sides: $10.74 ------------> $5.94
= $21,72 (subtotal before card)
= $11.43 (after card)
Coupons:
$2.00= 2 x $1/1 Caress body wash Qs
$4.50 = 3 x $0.75/2 Lipton Sides Qs
After coupons:
= $4.93 (plus tax, if your store taxes 2 Qs on a BOGO) OR $5.93 (plus tax, if your store just takes just 1 Q on the BOGO)
Plus you'd get the $7 catalina
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I haven't tried any of these deals yet, so I don't know if the catalina will pop out or not. In theory, it should, since all these are qualifying items. But of course it all depends on Price Chopper's programming.

Got another scenario. Most of the links to the IPQs are available in this thread:
http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?sduid=88594&t=836711
2 Degree Womens Ultra Clear deoderant: reg $4.49 each, sale $3 each ----> $8.98 reg, $6 sale
1 All Small and Mighty: $6.49 reg, 3.99 sale
4 Suave Shampoo (15 oz): reg. $1.19, sale 88 cents -----> $4.76 reg, $3.52 sale
= $20.23 reg., $13.51 sale subtotal
Coupons:
$3.00 = 2 x $0.75/1 Degree Ultra Clear, doubled (IP, from link above)
$1.00 = All IPQ from http://all-laundry.com/
$2.00 = 2 x $1/2 Suave shampoo Qs (from Sunday's insert)
After coupons:
= $7.51 plus tax (at 8%, it should be about $1.08, tax based on sale prices, correct?)
And the $7 cat should spit out, so final price would be about $1.59 with tax.

.
I was just coming to post this exact senario. I did it several times today! Worked perfect:bounce: Glad I ordered a bunch of the knorr q's a while ago! Weird thing is the Wisk is 6.59 in Syracuse but 8.19 in Oswego  That kinda threw a wrench in the mix but I will just have to travel once my coupons come in.
Wisk 1.50 off 2 went through fine. but the isave machine gave me 1.50 off one Wisk det and 1.50 off one ALL det, that was great.
I never get laundry detergent for free!!!!!! this is gonna be a good week.

I have to say that i am feeling about Unilever right now the same way I felt about Glade in Dec 08 :cupidhit:
Two more runs tonight, hope this makes sense:
$10 gift card $10
4 Knorr side $7.16 minus advantage and 2 .75/2 q's doubled = .96
All det $6.99 minus adv and $1 IPQ = $2.99
2 Lipton tea to go $ 7.58 minus adv and $1 q = $2.79
Subtotal: $31.73
Total after adv and q's $16.74, then used a $7 cat from the previous deal and paid $9.74 with a $10 gc from previous run (and got another $7 cat)
I got the gc for two reasons 1. because my total would have been less than $7 and i wanted to use previous cat 2. silly 50% rule (but ty to the person who suggested a gc I do it everytime now and just pay for it with the previous one)
Second run:
4 Knorr side $7.16 minus same as above = .96
6 Sauve $7.14 minus adv and 3 1.75/3 q's = $1.78
All det $6.99 minus same as above = $2.99
Subtotal: $21.29
Total after adv and q's $5.73 (and got another $7 cat)
Didn't get a gc on my second run cause they were all out of $10 ones :(
*The All q beeped but was pushed through bc I definitely had the right product.

o my i am having so much fun at pc this week only if i could bring my pillow and sleep there at night lol.
my favorite 2 scenarios so far
2 wisk $7.59 each b1g1
2 wishbone $2.99 each b1g1
presale $20.xx
after sale $10.xx
use 2 $1 wisk ip
2 0.75 wishbone ip doubed to $1.50 each
so $5 in coupons
pay $5.xx
get back $7 catalina
i have been paying $5 with shaws catalinas and then there is no need to add a $10 gift card as the shaws cat is entered as a competetor coupon so no it doesnt count towards the silly 50% coupon saving rule.
another 1 i am doing is:
2 caress body wash $5.49 each b1g1
4 wishbone $2.99 b1g1
presale $22.xx
11.49 sale
after 2 $1 caress ips
4 0.75c coupons doubled $1.50
so 2.49 total get back $7 biggggggggggg money maker

Venus,
I went this morning and got: 2 Wisk 6.59 X 2 = 13.18
2 Wishbone 2.69 X = 5.38
3 Liptons .99 X 2 = 1.98 = 20.54
And no 7-Catalina coupon! I went to CS and she told me my total has to be 20.00 AFTER the b1g1, which I think is wrong. But can a Chopper expert clarify?

I did this deal (2 Wisk, 4 Lipton Sides) earlier, and I was really bummed that I didn't get a catalina! I was at UScan, and I swiped my card at the end, after my coupons were scanned. Not sure if that was it. Maybe they reprogrammed the system in the past day? They were nice and printed one for me (scanned 6 Wisk, cashed it out, then did a return on the 6 wisk), but I didn't want to press my luck with multiple transactions.

Once the value of your coupons (including doubles) exceeds 50% of your total, all coupons after that will not double. HTH.
i go to hudoson and shrewsbury and all is fine just make sure u scan yr card after all coupons are scanned.

So I went back and for sure my total had to be 20.00 AFTER the B1G1, to get the Cat.-- so I don't know how you guys are doing it under when the total goes under 20.00, but yay for you!!
It's still a decent deal.
Got 2 Wisk -6.59
2 Wishbone- 2.69
3 Skippy- 5.97
2 Lipton To Go- 2.99
3 Lipton Pasta- 2.98
2 Knorr Sides- 3.58 = 24.80-4.00 Qs=21.80 and got the 7 Catalina
I will go back tomorrow and just get Wisk since I have a bunch of the 1.00 Qs.

I went to a different Price Chopper this evening, and the Catalinas worked fine.
I did a transaction of 2 Caress Tahitian body washes and 6 Lipton Sides. It came to $5.xx, and the cat came out.
Then I did a few transactions of 2 Wisks and 4 Lipton Sides, and again the catalina came out.
I didn't try rolling them, thinking maybe the issue was with the fact that I had used one on that transaction earlier? Or maybe different stores have their catalinas programmed differently? Maybe one of the flavors I bought earlier was not programmed for the catalina? I got the bowtie pasta liptons this evening, so I'll probably stick with those. I still have some more transactions to do tomorrow.
I had really wanted to buy gift cards with the catalinas so that I wouldn't lose them or so taht they would not expire on me, but the girl would only let me use 1 catalina per transaction. There was a line and it was late, so I figured that I'd try tomorrow with a young guy cashier. (I have more transactions to do anyways- still have more coupons!)

Just thought I would report on my 1st time doing business at the Chopper!
It was great!
I did the Unilever deal 6 times!
In total I cam home with:
10 Bottles of Wisk
2 bottles of Hellmann's mayo
2 Bottles Caress Evenly Gorgeous Body Wash
6 Bottles Caress Brazilian Body Wash
1 Twin Pack Degree Men Deoderant
1 Twin pack Dove Women Deoderant (only thing I had didn't have a Q for)
2 boxes wheat thins
2 packages m&ms
1 Glade Scented Oil Lasting Impression (had a Free Q)
Total OOP 15.01 and I still have a $7 cat
This was so much fun!
I may go back and roll this last cat one more time
and then spend down the cat I guess.
I really don;t get to PC that much.
Thanks to everyone who posted their scenarios it sure did help me out.

I have rolled them (alot) and only had one not print once, when I bought 2 wisk and 6 sauve deo's (free after .50 q anyway), so I have just stuck to the 2 wisk / 4 lipton, with a few variations and it has worked great everytime. I am up to 30 bottles of wisk and 3 All, hoping for another 20 wisk with my last ten q's.
Went shopping tonight and for the first time I saw another slickdealer!!! That never happens, usually I am the only one with coupons....I mean it had to have been a slickdealerwho else has detergent, knorr and a gift card in two separate transactions:lmao:

Actually, I think I had 4 or 5 transactions there today. ;) I had the guy 1st, to test out the Caress/Lipton deal. After my trip at another Price Chopper today, I wanted to be sure the catalina printed before I went all nuts. Then i did a Wisk and Lipton Sides deal, then figured, what the heck, I;m here already, I'll do 2 more and just get a gift card so that I don;t lose all of these catalinas! Cashier wouldn;t let me use 5 catalinas towards 2 gift cards, so I just got 1 and had her void the rest of the stuff. So of course she needed the key, which held up the line while the supervisor came over.
Oh, and if you head there 1st thing in the morning, check out the bottom shelf of the regular dairy cooler, the one with the organic milks. One of us had better get to it before the dairy guys do! There's some milk expiring today (well, since its after midnight, technically yesterday- if I wasnt so tired, I'd go get it now!). Yay for the dairy guarantee! (Feel free to annoy the crap out of the supervisors with that. Although, I have noticed that they have been a bit more on the ball lately, marking stuff in the natural foods area down a week or so before it goes out of date.)

If you're able to scan coupons before cards (or have a cashier who'll override "coupon on free item" beep), then Super Pretzels and Luigi's Italian ice works out nicely this week:
Superpretzels $2.89 * 2
- $0.75 * 2 ($0.75/1 MQs)
- $0.75 * 2 (double MQs)
- $2.89 (BOGO sale)
Total: - $0.11
Luigis $3.69 * 2
- $0.75 * 2 ($0.75/1 MQs)
- $0.75 * 2 (double MQs)
- $3.69 (BOGO sale)
Total $0.69

I went to my usual Price Chopper today, and lo and behold, the organic milks that I noticed last night that were expiring yesterday were still on the shelf. So I grabbed them and their replacements for the Dairy Guarantee. I cashed out my regular stuff, then went to customer service to do the DG. I gave them to the guy working, told him what it was for, and the middle aged lady next to him told him that they discontinued the DG last week!!!!
:crying2: :crying: :crying2: :crying: :crying2: :crying: :crying2: :crying: :crying2: :crying:
I am soooo bummed out. The majority of the stuff I get free with the dairy guarantee gets given away, either to family, friends, or the food pantry at church.
I plan on calling Price Chopper corp customer service on Monday to complain about this. Practically every time I am in Price Chopper, I find an expired product, normally in the natural foods area or the tofu area of the produce dept. I think its beneficial to Price Chopper to have their customers keep an eye out for expired dairy products so that it keeps the dairy employees on the toes to watch the expiration dates and so that if there is an expried product, the few bucks worth of product they give for the guarantee is a LOT cheaper than paying fines to the state for having expired stuff on their shelves. (How much were CVS and RA fined by the NY Attorney General for having expired stuff? Wasnt the fine 6 digits?)
Not to mention, I found some "Veggie Cheese" (produce dept, near the tofu) at another Price Chopper that expired in FEBRUARY while pointing out to the lady in produce all of the veggie deli slices that were expired. (She noticed a pack next to that one that looked like it had little mold spots on it. That one was still in date, but I grabbed a "mozzarella" one next to it that looked moldy too, and could not believe it when I saw the date!) There was probably over $60 worth of expired stuff, just in that tofu/vegetarian area. (I usually check that area out to see if anything is going out of date that day or the next, since they usually mark it down for me. I <3 having a giant freezer.)
Is this for the current week or the one coming up?TIA
I'm pretty sure that its this week, since I saw BOGO tags on the Luigis when I was at Price Chopper this evening.

does anyone ever update the wiki on this thread?
LOL! I said to myself tonight, "Self, has that Price Chopper wiki been updated yet?" and when we saw it wasn't, we did. Then saw your post!
I cleaned out the old (January) deal and coupon info, set colors/bold on the headers, added the 50% off rule and put in this week's BOGOs, special coupons and Cat deal.
mysticprincess, I used your incredibly thorough info for that. You must be an amazing typist! My fingers would fall off if I did all that. I have to go put my wrist brace on after doing the BOGOs. Thanks and reps to you for all your hard work. You're awesome!
I didn't put any scenarios in the wiki; figured they were best left in discussion.

Thanks!
I think that I type about 60 words per minute, maybe more. I used to be able to type even faster. About 5 years ago, I worked at the Relay Service for the Deaf, which is basically a way for a deaf person to call a hearing person from his/her TTY machine. I'd sit in front of a computer all day, reading what the deaf person wrote to the hearing person on his/her phone, then typing verbatim what the hearing person said back to the deaf person. We didn't have any special equipment, just a computer (with just the Relay program on it) and a headset.

wgbm -- thanks! I'm just sorry I didn't get in until the end of the week. :sadwalk:
Here's one other late-breaking item: Friday's Post-Star (out of Glens Falls, NY) has PC Qs in it for $5/50 or $10/100, plus another Pepsi 5/$11 Q, all good through Monday. There are also two specials not listed in the flier: Rib eye $4.88/lb, sweet corn 10/$1.89 (is 8/$1.98 in flier).
Looks like this should be in other Capital District papers in NY.
(I just read yesterday's paper this afternoon.)
I have next week's flier and will try to update the wiki tonight. The sun just came out, so I probably need to get outdoors soon and work in the garden! :wave2:
ETA: For those who prefer Coke to Pepsi, the 6-packs are 5/$10 next week.

WOW, what a week!! I made 2 transactions during a flying lunchtime trip on Thursday, went back that evening and made 4 more transactions and then went today for 2 more!!! ...
Color me IMPRESSED! You did great!
I made only one Unilever trip:
6 cans Lipton tea @ $4.99 / BOGO (for an upcoming wedding reception) - .60 Q
2 pkg Knorr noodles @ .99 - .75/2 Q
2 Caress @ 5.49 / BOGO - 2 x $1 Q (cashier insisted on putting second one through)
1 VitaminWater - .75 ISave
3 Meatballs @ 4.59 / BOG2
1 Irish Spring sample .99 - .99 (free with card)*
4 sets vacuum bags clearanced @ .10
1 set vacuum belts clearanced @ .10
I went over $50 and could have used the Q but left it home, thinking I was only gonna get about $35 worth! :sadwalk:
AC total was $25.47, so no great shakes, but more than 50% off at the grocery store and I'm happy.
Note: Look for these Irish Spring Hair & Body wash samples in a bin in the beauty section. They have to scan them @ .99, but they are free after card. Limit 1.

OK, updated the wiki for this week. :dance14:
I didn't see any Catalina deals -- does anyone know if the Axe movie tix deal is on (buy 3, get 1 movie ticket, buy 5, get 2)? See this thread (http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?sduid=272106&t=1135669) for details. If so, this would be a great time to do it, with BOGO!
Has anyone tried the "New Signature Service" on pg. 2? "Our professional butchers will season any custom cut meat for free with one of our 8 House of BBQ premium specialty dry rubs."

Santa Cruz Organic Lemonade, 32 oz (in the natural foods area)
$1.29
FREE if you picked up one of the "Go Organic for Earth Day" coupon booklets last month. There's a $0.75/1 MFQ in there for any Santa Cruz product. (Have them scan the card last and let it fully double up to $1.50.)

48 oz., Regular or Smooth Churned
Friendly's Ice Cream
$1.99
9.5 oz. Boce Chili or 10 oz., All Varieties
Boca Meat Alternatives
$2.89
I'm disappointed there's no $0.75/1 or $1/1 coupons! :(

I found the booklet but the only Kraft deal I found was $1 catalina wyb 2 Kraft Deluxe Macaroni and Cheese. This could be a good deal for people whose stores double $1 coupons. They are $2.29 and there are $1 off coupons at kraftfoods.com among other sites.

Its so great to see the Price Chopper thread on the first page so much lately! I have nothing to contribute today.....Except for strawberries are on sale for $1.48(1lb), thats about the cheapest I've seen them go, we eat a whole lotta strawberries so I stock up when they go this cheap:)

Peaches are .99/lb here, but hard as rocks. I need them for pie, so they can be a little firm, but I wasn't sure these would even ripen. :nono:
The 1.99 Angus London broil looks good -- I have one marinating for grilling tomorrow. I actually stock up for the freezer and use this as pot roast or cut it up for stew beef, both for the crock pot, as it isn't the tenderest cut. I slow-cook pot roast for 8 to 12 hours with potatoes, onions, carrots, cumin and about 1-1/2 cups of V-8 juice. If you need a knife to eat my pot roast, I have failed.
Oh, lordy, I'm listening to the Recipe Channel (I think that's what they called it). So far they've done fois gras and something with peeled asparagus; then clams; now lamb osso bucco. I think I have better luck with the recipe cards in the PC meat and veg sections!

All but one of my stores are the same way. Check the wiki on the first page -- most of the deals listed are before Qs, though some have Qs matched to them.
I will update for next week sometime tomorrow (Saturday) -- just can't stay up any longer tonight. Ran into somebody I knew during my shopping tonight and ended up talking for an hour, so got home much later than planned!
BTW, next week's double Qs for us are dairy, up to $3.

Mmmm ... doughnuts. To celebrate National Doughnut Day, PC will have a 6-pk of cake doughnuts 99 cents that day* only. Limit 1 pack per customer.
BTW, Krispy Kreme is also celebrating, with a free doughnut on Friday! (http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?p=19992553#post19992553)
* ETA: OK, some confusion here. The PC ad says "Thursday" but also says "June 5th only." Since it's supposed to be the first Friday in June, I'm betting it's Friday, June 5, but check your store to be sure. Maybe they'll honor it both days!

A couple of in-store deals I found tonight in dairy:
Buy any 2 Land O'Lakes spreadable butter, get a Cat for 50 cents OYNO. On sale 2/$3 and there was a blinkie Q for .55/1 on the shelf (DND). Makes it $1.90 for 2, and the Cat rolls, so a second set of 2 will run you $1.40. I consider $1 each a good price on these.
EDIT: Buy any 3 Promise margarine, get a Cat for $2 OYNO. On sale for $1.99.
If you buy the PC butter, be sure to get the extra $1 off iSave Q.
And remember to spend your $7 Cats from the Unilever deal before they expire!

Depeding on your store's coupon policy, they may only double up to the 1st 4 Powerade coupons. (Sooo stupid, I know.)
On another note, I sent corp an email a few weeks ago (Unilever week) asking about 2 coupons on a BOGO. According to customer service, I *can* use 2 coupons on a BOGO as long as the coupons do not exceed the value of the item I'm paying for.
I also liked this at the bottom of the email:

Yes, you should be able to. The B10G5 is a store Q, so you should be able to use 5 MQ on the items you're buying and the PCQ should be for the free ones..

Anyone else notice the Dove catalina deal on page 15 of the ad? Buy $15 worth of Dove products, get a $5 catalina.
Here's the sales:
Dove Body wash (19.4-24 zoz) $5.49
Dove Bar SOap 6 pack $5.49
Dove Shampoo, conditioner (12 oz), or styling products (2.25-9.25 oz) $3
20% off- Dove Ultimate Clear or Invisible Solid deoderant or Dove facial skin care products
From the last Unilever deal, I think the regular price of the Ultimate Clear deoderant is $4.49, and the regular deoderant is $3.49.
Not sure of the regular price on the shampoo, conditioner, or styling products, but that might be the best way to get to the $15. (I'll have to check the coupons. Regular price should be at least $4.)

Dove prices (checked this morning at my store in CNY):
Dove Body wash (all varieties), reg $7.49, sale $5.49
Dove bar soap 6 pack (all varieties), reg $7.49, sale $5.49
Dove shampoo, conditioner, or styling products, reg $4.69, sale $3
Dove pro-age cream oil lotion (13.5 oz), reg $7.99, sale $6.39
Dove intensive body cream oil lotion (13.5 oz), erg $7.99, sale $6.39
Dove intensive hand cream 2.5 oz, reg $5.99, sale $4.79
Dove Cream oil body lotion, 8.5 oz, reg. $5.99, sale $4.79
Dove Clinical deoderant, reg $6.99, sale $5.59
Dove regular deo, reg. $3.49, sale $2.79
Dove Go Fresh and "premium deo", reg $4.49, sale $3.59
Dove 2 pack of soap (not on sale, but added in case anyone is curious) $3.19
I haven't tried this deal yet. Not sure if the catalina will print if you get 2 of the items that are regular $7.49 or not.
I have some Dove IPs, but I have to check what they are for. (I know there's some $1.50/2 Dove deo.)
One scenario:
2 x Dove reg deo: $6.98
2 x Dove "premium" deo: $8.98
total before card: $15.96
After card: $12.77
Coupons:
Dove, Deodorants/Antiperspirants and/or Body Mists, $1.50 off 2, Print [dove.us] (IP)
2 x Dove Visibly Smooth Anti-Perspirant/Deodorant $1.25 (8/30/09) V 6/7/09
After coupons: $8.77
Final cost (after catalina): $3.77
Not really so great, but decent if you use/need Dove deo.
Another scenario:
4 x Dove shampoo: $18.76
After card: $12.00
Coupons: 4 x Dove Hair Care Product $1 (8/30/09) V 6/7/09
After coupons: $8.00
Final cost (including catalina): $3.00 for 4 bottles of shampoo
Again, not amazing (since there's tons of free shampoo at CVS, RA, and Wags), but if you like this kind, not a bad deal.

mystic, thanks for all that legwork! :applause:
Well, tonight was Price Chopper dinner night. I had a Jenny-O turkey loaf with gravy from last week's sale, with corn on the cob, mixed veg and mashed potatoes. Then I did this for dessert:
Wash 1 pint blueberries ($2.99 BOGO this week) and pour them into a sauce pan. Add enough water to cover the bottom of the pan and about 1/4 cup of sugar. Bring to a boil. Meanwhile, mix 1 Tablespoon corn starch into 1/2 cup water. Mix into boiling berry mixture, stirring until it comes back to a boil, and cook, stirring, until it loses cloudy look. Serve over slices of bakery angel food cake ($1.99 this week) -- I used lemon flavored -- and vanilla ice cream. Top with whipped cream.
