We've had it in central NY for a couple years. Basically, your Advantage Card tracks your spending. Every $50 you spend, you get 10 cents off a gallon of gas at Sunoco, up to 20 gallons. (I'm not sure if coupons or your Advantage savings count towards your total or not... its been a little while since I looked closely at my receipts.)

The main drawback is that if you have a small car like mine and you don't use the entire 20 gallons in 1 transaction, then you lose the rest of it. I filled my car up earlier this week. It went from $2.81 a gallon down to $2.21 a gallon, but I was on E and my tank only holds 10-12 gallons.

Your gas points expire every few months. So the points you earn this month, you'll have to use them by the end of September (roughly, give or take a month) or else you lose them.

When you do pay at the pump at the gas station, it will ask you if you are an Advantage card member. If you hit "yes", then it asks you to swipe your big (credit card sized, cant use the keytag) Advantage card where you would swipe your credit card. It will tell you how many gas points you have, ask if you want to use them, and then the price will automatically adjust down.

I did the Kraft deal yesterday and I can confirm that it goes by pre-sale price. I bought 5 boxes of Triscuits and 2 boxes of Wheat Thins and got the $7 coupon. I used some printable coupons that were available a few weeks ago.

If you look at the wraparound kingsford match light charcoal is $5.00. I have that $6.00 coupon and if I buy Vlasic .99 small bottle relish and the charocal the $6.00 would come off the pork right? Does this coupon scan alright my pricechopper is wonderful with coupons but if it doesn't scan they won't take it.

I did some transactions tonight and the only thing I had a problem with is Koolaid, but I went to the service desk, they re-rung my order and refunded until we figured out the problem. Not sure what happened. It adds up to $20.75, so you should have. If you have your receipt, take it to the service desk and ask them to take a look at it. I had a problem the other night with Koolaid working. The front end manager took me to an empty line and re-rung it and after a couple tries, we figured it out.

Just did this today. I didn't have the q's so my total was $15.68, but with $13 in catalina's I went merrilly on my way :)

I just go back from 2 runs of Popsicles and Cracker Barrel Cheese. The 1st one went great and I got my $7/$3/$3 Cats. The 2nd one only got the $3 Unilver and a $2 Kraft. I'm assuming 1 of my Cracker Barrel Cheeses didn't work :( The only one different than the 1st transaction was the Vermont Sharp White in the Green Package.

Yesterday, I did 4 CB cheese with the 50 cent coupons as I thought the fifth wouldn't double (limit 4 like?). I also, thought the cheese was $3.69 so I bought more of the other things than I had to (2 cream cheese and one triscuit). Got back $7 and $3 in cats. But I also did a regular shopping...using the stop and shop $5 off 15 meat and the $2.00 off fresh fish (PC iSave). and the stop and shop 10% off order. I spent $73.34........but I SAVED $90.43. :)

I did try six Knorr rice sides at $1.69 ea. for a total of $20.14 - no Unilever cat - but I had three $.75 off two......so for $.14 ea - not bad.

FYI.....If anyone lives near a Big Y (mine is southwest cutoff Worcester)......when you buy ANYTHING ( I got it today for 2 cans of cat food).....you get a $5 off $40 good for 7/9/16 through 7/15/09. I can use it at PC S&S or the Shaw's near me.

I just got back from a run that I bought the following

PSP @ my store is $4.69 so I got 5 for $12.50 and got back the $7 and $4 CAT

These cracker barrel cheeses worked for me:

A good coupon to double is the $2 off sugar when you buy 10 Koolaid. They are 4/$1 and you can get sugar for about $1 (even though the coupon will still go thru without the sugar). It might also count for the Kraft deal. Plus there are also tearpads for 2 free packets when you buy 10.

When I added it, I got $32.09 before coupons, that would be shelf price and that is what is sparking the catalinas.

I have used country time and had it work. I tried to use Koolaid the same night, the containers, and it wouldn't go through. I went to the service desk and they rang me up on another register until we figured out what went wrong.

Yesterday I made three transactions, it was crazy in there or I would have tried more.

I'd get 15 of them. Use the Price Chopper Q and 2 of the tearpad Qs. They will come out to 40 cents each that way. (If you got 19 and used 1 PCQ and 3 tearpad Qs, it would come out to 42 cents each.)

But I guess it depends on how many you would go through and how many coupons you have. I'd give the MFQs 1st, just in case there might be an issue with the computer seeing the PCQ and beeping or something. (Maybe I'm used to too many Q problems at my Price Chopper.)

That is what I do, gift cards to fill in and as many transactions as I need. I don't really care about the customers behind me since the store is the one really holding them up :)

I ran into a PC looking for q's. I was in a rush but I thought I saw Nature Sweet tomatoes 2/$3. Don't see it in the circular. Anyone know if this is in all stores or was it a fluke for the store I was in? No Bertolli in the 8/02 Red Plum, only Ragu. And all the current insert and printable Qs seem to be for the meals, not the sauce. :sadwalk:

Anybody use the Top Care coupons from page 15 of the ad yet? There's a $1/1 and a $3/2 coupon in there. I was thinking of using both, and then getting 3 antibacterial handsoaps free. (They're on sale 3/$4.) Maybe throw them in with one of the Unilever transactions, so that the cashier doesn't throw a hissy fit because (gasp!) you'd be getting something for free!

The baby lotion/shampoo would be a decent deal with the $3/2 Q (they are on sale for $2.17 each, so $0.67 each AC). The generic "Advil" is $2 each, and with the $3/2, would be $0.50 each.

I'm trying to figure out some Unilever deals. Anybody know if All detergent is still on sale for $3.99 a bottle? I think there's an ISave Q for $4/3.

So since I will be doing so many transactions with unilever this week I will just make a point of grabbing 2 handsoaps each time ;) Havent seen a free handsoap deal this easy that I dont have to buy coupons for :bounce:

Here is what I did:

2 Topcare hand soaps @ $1.97 each on $1.33 sale

Total after q's and adv. was $20.98, then I did get the $10 cat, so .98 OOP.

Thing is I thought my total should have been lower since I was figuring it out as I went and thought it would be just shy of $10 so when I looked at my receipt I realized that my first two wishbone q's doubled like they should have to 1.50, then the last wishbone and the knorr q only doubled an extra .25 to 1.00. I cannot figure out why this happened, I'm not complaining cause it was still a good deal, but I have been racking my brain and cant seem to understand why these two q's didnt fully double?

Anybody do a catalina deal successfully with some Caress body wash?

I went to Price Chopper yesterday with my SIL, and we were going to get some Caress body wash. (She was almost out, and she's not a couponer, so she's stoked on any savings.)

We went to UScan, since we had my kids with us. I didn't notice when I 1st got there that the catalina machine was out of paper. It was beeping after my transaction, but after the girl put the paper in, nothing came out. :( (We did 2 Caress body washes and 3 Lipton sides.) I did another transaction, this time with 2 more Caress (different scent this time) and 3 Liptons, but nothing came out. SIL needed body wash anyways, so she did a transaction with just 2 Caress (2 different kinds- the Tahitian one and the Silk one, I think), and a $3 catalina should have come out (they were $5.49 each originally), but nothing did.

Not sure what happened. It must be only a few of the Caress body washes are programmed to trigger the catalina. The cashier and supervisor were trying to tell me that its because my subtotal was less than $10 that I didn't get anything, but the machine was beeping because it wanted to print something. I returned everything at customer service since I didn't have the time to do more transactions and figure out the problem.

Now that I'm thinking about it, maybe it has to do with the Silk scent? (We thought that would be a nice clean scent for Grandma, vs the hot sexy Tahitian one.) I think one of my transactions, I got 2 of that kind and nothing. So I'd recommend avoiding that one.

On a positive note, I used the 2 Top Care Qs from the ad and SIL and I each got 3 free hand soaps. I might go back just for that.

Yeah, pretty bummed over here too. We only bought the tall ones, vs the small fat ones, if that helps with what scents they are. SIL had to get home, otherwise I would have played around with them a bit.

The cashier and supervisor tried telling me that its b/c they were on sale and I used coupons. I told her that its not how it worked the last time they did this deal, but she kept telling me my total was too low. :rolleyes:

I bought caresses last night. Bought 3 2 packs and 1 bogo offer. Bought 2 different scents of the bodywash, dont remember what. Got the cat though :woot:

I went to a regular checkout this time because there was a coupon nazi at the SCO. The cashier scanned two items and then asked for my card. Next time I'll go to the SCO and scan my card at the end.

Me too :angry: I hit 3 choppers tonight. 1 cashier recognized me from yesterday :lol: 1 run was perfectly executed, i thought but no cat :sadwalk: i think the machine was down b/c I bought an asortment of items and my total was accurate. I wasnt in the mood to make a fuss though. I may try to call catalina tomorrow, didnt someone suggest that here once? and scored 12 top cares today :woot:

Used them last night and a heads up cat printed for snapple (actually the deal ends 8-9) anyway its a tiered one with the least being 4 to get a $1 cat and 8 to get a $4 cat, so I will get 8 more and then a free $4!!! If you can find these coupons use em up by the 9th!

Im going back tomorrow to do 2-3 more transactions, I have more degree coupons and caress. I figured I would do another 4 Lipton ice tea (6.49psp), 2 wishbone(2.99), with the b1g1 i think OOP is under $4.00 when using 1-$1 lipton, $1.25 WB and a $10 cat.
Also 6 Ragu, 6 Knorr sides, 2 Hellman, use 2- $1.25/3 ragu, 1-$1/2 hellman, and 2- $1/3 side and a 10 cat come just under $9 oop.

My PC doesn't double Qs, but we got the 3 x up to $3 in the paper the other day. I had some $2 Qs for Smart Balance milk. I used one along with two Qs for other things, and the cashier mentioned she liked that milk. I went out to my car, went back in with my other 2 Qs and gave her one. I even brought her the last nonfat carton. Happy cashier, happy me because I got to do a second round of doubles (they can be fussy about "3 per customer") and I got salsa, spinach dip and milk for 69 cents. :nod:

Hmmm...I'm getting in on this late, but I didn't get my coupon from the Unilever deal and I haven't done anything about it yet...keep meaning to! So this got my attention...

I bought over $30 regular price, and I figured even if I'd done the math wrong, I'd still get the $5 or even $3 OYNO coupon, but I got nothing. Is there a number on the cats that you can call and ask them? Do you need to give them the store number, receipt number, date...stuff like that?

I'm honestly not sure. (Really bad, since I live right down the street from one!) I did get an $8/$50 Price Chopper coupon in my ad, but its only good after the card, coupons, etc, doesnt include gift cards, etc. Only good at the Syracuse area stores. I have 2, and if you want them, PM me. P&C also has some "double any coupon up to $3" coupons in their ad and on the back of the B or C section of Sunday's Post Standard. (You have to spend $20 though, which shouldnt be too hard. It also doesn't say it has to be after coupons, so I may have a fun time there this week!)

I haven't yet (well, one free toothpaste Sunday night), but I gave my cousin the heads-up and she went today. Saved about $35, OOP about $30. She's not a slickdealer yet -- had to get bread and stuff with no Qs, but she sure loved the 50-cent Activia and free Neutra Air!

We have a SuperK, so there was no notice in our Sunday insert, but it's in the Wednesday grocery insert. However, thanks to SD, I know at SuperK when it officially starts on Wednesday, it really starts on Sunday ... and when it officially starts on Sunday, it really starts the Wednesday before! :lol:

I have a question concerning PC coupon policy and was wondering if anyone else ran into this problem. Concerning the 50% rule, it has been my understanding coupons would double up to that point, and after that coupons would be redeamed at face value. Now, a FEM told me I can only use coupons up to 50% and once that it reached, I could no longer use any more coupons. I called PC customer service and she told me that after 50% has been reached, you could still used coupons but they would not double. I requested a copy of their coupon policy to take with me, and got this in my email:

All Coupon Transactions
· A Price Chopper AdvantEdge card must be scanned prior to coupon deductions.

· Only one manufacturer's coupon may be used on an item.

· Refund and Rebate checks are to be cashed at the Customer Service Desk.

· The total of all coupons cannot exceed one-half the total purchase, after AdvantEdge discounts. With the exception of triple coupons, which cannot exceed the total order after AdvantEdge discounts.

· Free items, Buy One / Get One offers, mail in certificates and unspecified items will be redeemed at face value or free value only.

· Total double or triple value redemption of manufacturer's coupon may not exceed the item's retail price after Advantage Discounts.
Double Coupons - up to $1 (maximum of 2 same item)

A maximum of two coupons of the same item/brand may be doubled; please present a manufacturer's coupon for each.


I replied back with the response I received back concerning the 50% rule from the telephone conversation I had with customer service.

I finally did my kellogg's run for the week. I got:

4 Nutri-grain bars @ $3 ea
4 Fruit snacks @ $2.19 ea
2 Rice Krispies @ $2.99 ea
2 PC Bread @ $1.29 ea

Minus:
2 $1/2 nutri-grain
2 $1/2 fruit snacks
1 $1/1 krispies
1 $2.99 f ree box of krispies
2 $2 off bread wyb 2 nurti-grain bars (these beeped as I knew they would but were pushed through with no questions)

Total came to $17.xx and $10 cat printed (says wyb school supplies, I may have to try to pass grapes and apples as school supplies:yummy: )

Then I will submit for the FFS also, so a $3 MM!


In response to the post above mine, someone suggested a while ago on this thread (cant remember who but please holler if it was you!) to get a gift card in with your order so you dont have to worry about the 50% rule and then just keep rolling the giftcards into your next purchase, this works great so I have just made a habit of it.

They wont let me do that anymore. They tell me I have to purchase them seperately, when I called to complain, they said it's up to the store manager.
