:wave2: Been without net access for the past week and a half, except for brief interludes on my smartphone or at my cousin's. Good to be back. There are some good deals this week and I'll do the wiki later tonight (after my stealth SuperK run -- they aren't announcing doubles until tomorrow ...)

Well ... I didn't expect to be at Kmart until the wee hours ... two nights in a row ... :bounce:

But the double Qs is just too good! Especially since we don't have doubles at grocery stores around here (except for one PC in the opposite direction from everything else I do).

So I'm in the wiki now. BBL ... :wave2:

Well, it's coded for $3 off 2. Just sayin'. But my cashiers would SOOOOOOO catch this! But it would allow you to use 3 other Qs on the total of 5 items, so if you have, say, Qs for Life cereal, Quaker oatmeal and Aunt Jemima syrup, you could use them along with the $3/5.

This week is all about meat and half-price sales. Notable non-Q deals: 5-lb bag russet potatoes 1.50, PC eggs 18 1.68, Hatfield cooked ham 2.99/lb, PC American cheese 2.49/lb, apple cider donuts 6-pk 1.79. Plus a bunch of H&B stuff on Page 15. Oh, and several of the items for the Quaker coupon.

I'll do the wiki tonight -- have to hit Kmart just ... one ... more ... time!

ETA: Returned from Kmart double coupon run at 2:30 a.m. Still doing housework and putting stuff away. Then bed. Wiki must wait.

Thanks and you're welcome! I'm shopped out, but I did the wiki tonight (hey, it's not tomorrow until I go to sleep and get up again :coverlaf: ) -- lots of half-price stuff, though not all the prices are listed in the flyer. Also a 40% off Perdue sale and some BOGOs.

I left spaces between the food and non-food in the half-price section. It's mostly still in the order you'll find things in the flyer, but I thought this might make it easier to look over quickly.

ah good to know.

Yes, we have a SuperK, so had them through Tuesday! Read my post in the Kmart thread (http://forums.slickdeals.net/showpost.php?p=22807595&postcount=875) to see just how Super my K is (at least the night manager). :woot:

I'm done dealing for the week, except for some CVS and maybe Wags. Too busy the next couple of days. Which reminds me, I need to get to bed! DMV and optometrist are in my plans for Thursday afternoon, so I have to get out and about at a reasonable hour.

Just wanted to point out that here in CNY our ragu was 1.09. I found K-mart Q's (while I was vacationing in Virginia) at the K-mart Service desk. They were ina HUGE booklet. They are MQs and they were .50 off 1 ragu so here's free sauce people! Sorry I'm so late in the week!

MamaRo, good use of the Kmart booklet. For those who haven't seen it yet, and if you can find one after the recent doubles swarm, it's about 5"x8", white with blue and says $62 on the front. (help me out here, may be $64 or $65 but its $6X!) :glasses2:

I added some coupon matchups to the wiki. Also added links to the alpha and printable coupon threads near the top.

So I'm finally going to be home most of the day, and they're predicting rain ... :sadwalk: I really need to get out into the garden!

ETA: Next week's feature is "go can crazy" -- lots of PC brands, but also Hormel/Dinty Moore @ $2, Campbell's chix noodle or tomato soup 2/$1, Goya chick peas, black beans or pink beans .65, College Inn broth BOGO @ 1.29, Tuttorosso large cans tomatoes .88 or case of 12 for $9.

And if you need olive oil, wait until Sunday: Botticelli 68 oz. can for $8 -- 6.99 off regular price!

I hope you're feeling better!

There is a catalina deal for Colgate-Palmolive where you get $3 for spending $10.

I think the Speed Stick could be a good deal. I'm not sure about the regular price buy they're on sale for $2. Hopefully we'll only need to buy 3 of them making it $6 minus three $1 coupons equals $3, and you get $3 back.

another deal for that $3 CAT is the colgate TB's and TP's.

I haven't verified the retail on them yet but they are both on sale 2/5, and I think they are 3.49 each... there were $1/1 colgate tp and $1/1 colgate 360 TB Q's in my SS this past week... so

Buy 2 TB, 1 TP = 7.50 -$3 (Cat), -$6 (mine doubles $1's) = 1.50 MM ... and these Q's expire on 10/17 so its nice to use them up quickly!

FYI retail on the TP was between 3.99 and 4.49... TB was 3.99

One thing I learned the second time I called Catalina (first time they couldn't find my receipt, only another one around the same time for a lot more money) is that they see the total BEFORE coupons. So if they say, "Was that for $100?" and it's the same time as you paid $10 AC, say yes! Got my Cat from a Kmart deal, and best thing is, it had an expiry of 3 or 4 months out instead of a couple of weeks.

Thanks for the reminder about Purina One. Just found out my nephew is getting a cat and his mother took MY GoodLife cat food for it! I have only one more GL Q, but a buncha buncha for One.

BTW, next week's wrap has 4 double Qs for pet items, up to $3, so don't worry if you can't max out this week (or have to order Qs)! :woot:

OK, wiki is up for in-ad coupons, some specials and BOGOs. Two things to look for in-store are a Glade display with coupons (on Saturday night mine had peelies on the spray bottles of Fabric & Air Odor Eliminator, but no prices -- I see they are $3 in the flier) and a $6 Unilever booklet (which I haven't seen, but flier shows a laughing woman on the front).

Yep, it's in the wiki and I mentioned it Friday. :wink2: I used some $3 Purina One with the newspaper Q from Thursday, and plan to do a few more if they restock -- I'm sure it will go fast at 59 cents a bag!

Here are some $2 and $3 pet Qs (remember $X/2 will only double to the price of one item):

Adams Flea & Tick Product $3 (12/31/09) V 5/17/09
Adams Flea & Tick Product, excludes collars $3 (12-31-09) V 8/30/09
Goodlife Recipe Food for Dogs or Cats $3 (11/15/09) V 8/16/09 (NOTE: This was only $2 in my area)
Goodlife Recipe Wholesome Bites Treats for Dogs, any $2 (12-27-09) V 10/4/09
Purina Beneful Dog Food, 15.5lb+ bag, any variety $3 (10/31/09) V 8/9/09
Purina One Dry Dog or Cat Food, any $3 (10/13/09) V #2 (NESTLE) 9/13/09
Hartz Crunch n Clean Treats $2 (10-11-09) SS 8/30/09
Kibbles n Bits Dry Dog Food, 16 lbs.+ $2 (11-29-09) V 10/4/09
Milk-Bone Dog Snacks, 26 oz. or smaller $2/2 (11-15-09) V 9/20/09
Rachel Ray Nutrish Dog Food, 6 lb. $2 (12-31-09) SS 9/27/09
Science Diet Simple Essentials Dog Treats, 12.3oz+ - $2 DND (10/31/09) SS 9/27/09
Whiskas Purrfectly Dry Cat Food $2 (10-10-09) V 7/12/09

Also, the Glade endcap display had $2 peelies on the Fabric & Air bottles. If you get the Pet Odor Eliminator, you certainly could argue it's a pet care product. They are $3 on sale this week.

2 bags of Beneful dog food (used $3/1 MFQs)
3 bags of Kibbles n Bits (used $2/1 MFQs)
1 small bag of Purina One cat food (used $3/1 MFQ- free!)
2 boxes of Milkbone dog treats (used $2/2 MFQ)
3 packages of Goodlife cat treats (used $1/1 MFQs- free!)
2 pakcages of some Friskies or something cat treats (whatever had the free MFQ in the paper a few weeks ago)
4 bags of Tidy Cats litter (used $1/1 MFQs from Sunday's paper)

Going to dig up some more Qs and go back tomorrow!

mystic were these printables or mqs from the paper?

Everything I used was from the paper. Not sure of all of the dates of the inserts, but the Kibbles n Bits, Tidy Cats, and Goodlife cat treats were all from this past Sunday. Not sure about everything else since they were either clipped in my coupon box or part of a random insert I found that I hadn't clipped yet.

if your PC doubles $1Q's here is a good Q matchup for the next few days

Meow Mix Market Selects single cups are 4 for $2, use the $1 Q from the 8/23 Red Plum (I think they expire on the 18th) to get them for free... they also printed out a $1 OYNO Cat. the CAT deal might be expiring (god I wish they advertised them better) so YMMV on that one.. SO FAQ (GOOD Til New Years)

Also Chunky Soup Single serve microwaveable bowls 2 for $3, there was a $1/2 Q in the 8/30 SS (expires soon like today I think) which makes them .50 each, when I bought 4 tonight (separate orders) a CAT for $2 off 4 printer, making my second order of them free after Q+Cat. (also good til new years)

I'll post a few more Q' matchups I found tomorrow as its 1am and I wanna go to bed!

I tried to update the wiki but my eyes are too dry -- gotta get off the computer.

I did see something interesting in one store tonight: beer clearance! It was the Guinness gift pack -- pints with 2 pub glasses. I think it was $10. I remember it wasn't a SD for someone who doesn't like beer :wave2: so I didn't really pay much attention.

My main store is doing a huge reset of the frozen and refrigerated foods section, getting rid of all the open bins and putting everything into upright units. The lights seem to be LED -- very white -- they kind of hurt my eyes! Maybe I shopped too long in the frozen section and that's why I can't see now ...

Hey everyone quick question... you ever have a PC give you sh*t about using a catelina for $x/xx?

Situation... bought 10 of those Meow Mix Market creations cans that are 4 for $2, used the $1/2 Q to make 8 of them free, and then had a $1/10 Catelina to make the other 2 free, they gave me all sorts of sh(t about it, yada yada yada... they stated "its a mfr Q"... I stated it shows PC logo (knowing that it is a mfr Q of sorts).

Basically my thoughts are that if they want to push back on those being MFR Q's and be a PITA about accepting them in conjunction w/other Q's then I think its time to push the issue that the RR's from Wags say mfr Q on them.... no where does either one say redeemable only at X, they both say "redeem at" and that is only a suggestion not a command last I checked, pretty sure that Catalina promotions would back me up on that one.

What does everyone think... sorry if I rambled or was incoherant... i'm working on about 2 hours sleep in the last ~48.

...
What does everyone think... sorry if I rambled or was incoherant... i'm working on about 2 hours sleep in the last ~48.

Basically, if the UPC code on a coupon, Catalina, or even iSave coupon begins with a 5 or a 9, it really is a manufacturer's coupon and will likely be sent in for reimbursement. That's why most PCs won't let you use some iSaves with another Q -- because that would be two MQs on the same item.

If the UPC code starts with something else (PC = 0, CVS = 4, Rite Aid = long weird number), it is a store coupon and can usually be used in conjunction with MQ.

So if your Cat was MQ for $1/10 and the other MQ was for $1/2, you'd need 12 items for proper usage.

HTH.

Heads-up, kids -- the free coupon works on ANY Hillshire Farms Li'l links. Good thing, as there wasn't a pack of beef franks to be found in my travels. I think it was just poorly worded and meant for all, as it does say "any variety." Also remember it's good through today (Sunday)!

Anybody getting the Wednesday meal deal? I asked my nephew to pick one up, but he said he couldn't because he had something he had to do after work ... :ranting: And I'm not driving the 45-mile round trip for it!

ETA: Made goulash instead, and it was a big hit, so worked out OK. Used my 50-cent Barilla Piccolini wheels from PC and 50-cent Ragu from Kmart doubles!

PC has ground turkey on sale this week in a 3-lb package for $5. Good price and it makes fantastic meatballs. That's what I used in the goulash (from a previous sale).

TURKEY ALERT!

Queensbury NY had PC turkeys in the back freezer case, under the sausage, marked at .99/lb, but there was a sign on the case: .39/lb with card! Picked up a 20-lb turkey for less than $8. Now I don't have to scramble to compare prices, and I have plenty of time to defrost!

If you have the triple Qs, here are some ideas:
Breyers sale @ 2.99 - 3 x .75 (12-31-09) V 10/18/09 = .74
Haagen-Dazs sale @ 2.99 - 3 x $1 tearpad = FREE
College Inn turkey, beef, chicken or fat free chicken broth, 32 oz sale @ $2 - 3 x $1 (11/21/09) V 9/27/09 = FREE (actually, also free if your store doubles)
Lysol toilet bowl cleaner sale @ 1.99 - 3 x .40 (12/7/09) SS 11/8/09
Johnson's baby products sale (pg 15) @ 2.50 - 3 x $1 (12-15-09) V 9/13/09 = FREE
Scrubbing Bubbles aerosol sale @ 2.99 - 3 x .75 (12/27/09) SS 11/1/2009 = .74
Pillsbury Simply refrigerated cookie dough @ 3.29 - 3 x $1 (12/5/09) SS #2 9/13/09 = .29
Good Earth tea @ 3.49 - 3 x $1 (12/31/09) SS 10/25/09 = .49
Ovaltine sale @ 3.69 - 3 x $1 (1/31/10) V 11/1/2009 = .69

NOTE: My cashiers looked the Qs over and would NOT triple any that said DND, even if they didn't start with 9. YMMV. So the Folgers $1 DND (12/5/09) V 11/8/09 was a no-go on the $6 sale coffee. But a $1/2 on the Chex cereal (3/$5 with in-ad Q) tripled fine.

Also, my store doesn't allow 2 Qs on a BOGO, so I don't know how it would handle this one. I didn't try as I am mega-stocked on laundry stuff, but if it works, great deal:

Arm & Hammer fabric sheets or detergent BOGO @ 3.99 - 3 x $1.00/2 (11/15/09) SS 9/13/09 = .99 for 2 :woot:

16 oz. Oscar Mayer Meat Wieners 69¢
Fresh Green Giant Baby Cut Carrots 1 lb Bag .88¢
28.2-32.7 oz. Price Chopper Rising Crust Pizza $3
24 oz. Propel Flavored Water 1¢ (plus deposit where required)

take note that only the OM meat ones are $.69 w/ coupon. The all beef franks have a slightly higher price, i believe a $1 more($3.69 vs $4.59). So when they scan the coupon it'll come out to something like $1.59 for the beef ones.

:wave2: Hey! I found a hidden (as far as I can tell) Cat:

The Green Giant carrots @ .88 with Q had Qs on them for $1 off any Bolthouse dressing. I bought one of the yogurt dressings (right there near the carrots), priced 2/$6. Then I got a Cat for a FREE Marie's Creamy Yogurt dressing, up to $4.29.

So that's carrots and 2 bottles of primo dressing for $2.88. (no doubles here)

I have a question regarding coupons. You know the wishbone coupon. .75/1 salad dressing doubled =.50 each (dressing=2.00). Half the time when I use that or any other coupons that does NOT say do not double it doesn't double. This time 6 coupons that were for .75 off (4 of the same, two different) didn't double. I was going to go to service desk but said not open. Does the registers automatically double the coupons or does the cashier have to manually push a button to double or not. These same coupons doubled before. Thanks.

It seems like Price Choppers in different regions have different coupon policies, but some of the policies do overlap.

The stores in my area will only double up to 4 of the same coupon (ie, 4 of the same barcode). The registers are automatically programmed that way.

If you look at your receipt, do any of the coupons show up as something like "coupon value 99" or something like that? I forgot what the exact wording is, but a regular coupon whose barcode starts with a 5 will just say "manufacturer's coupon" and then the value across from it. There's the other wording for coupons that start with a 9 (and are not supposed to double).

The only other thing that I can think of is that silly 50% rule. Basically, they will not double more than 50% of the total of your transaction.

no it just took off 6 .75 coupons instead of 12:mad:
The barcodes all started with five. Four were that .75 wishbone coupon other two was a different coupon.
It's not the coupon rule because I bought almost $70.00 worth of groceries:confused:.
So the cashiers have nothing to do with will it double or not? I'll try emailing my Pricechopper but don't know if I'll get a reply. Thanks.

Are you using the GC receipt for a rebate? There are at least 2 NBPRs out -- one from Coors and one from Heineken. The Heineken was up on displays at Hannaford yesterday. Both are purchase by 12/31; Coors rec'd by 1/30, Heinie PM by 1/14.

Coors = $10 on $100; Heinie = $10 on $25.

Wish I'd found the Heineken display sooner -- I only had the Coors until yesterday! But I had bought a GC on 12/31, so I'm getting at least one in on the better deal.

There is a band with my name. The weird thing is, it's from a sparsely populated area where I once lived ... and where one person knows my nickname. There has to be a connection, but I haven't figured it out yet! :scratchh:

Totally OFF TOPIC, but I got an automated call from Chopper yesterday about the Mkt. Panty fresh salsa I bought last week. (it was BOGO) Anyhow, it was being recalled due to possible lysteria contamination. Please bring back for a full refund, blah blah.
Too bad I had a playoff party on Sunday and everyone ate it all up.

:bigeye: Not OT at all! Thanks for the info -- maybe someone else can still return theirs. And I hope your guests are all fine!

Serendipity ruled my trip tonight. I found carts full of clearance stuff -- lots of holiday, but also South Beach bars, sugar-free pancake syrup, Gold Bond antibacterial lotion. I picked up 3 boxes of SB bars @ $1, a syrup for a diabetic friend @ $1, GB lotions @ $4 - $2 MQ, Wii-compatible ping-pong paddles @ 9.99 - $5 on-package PCQ, Wii-comp spare battery & cover for Wii Fit board @ 19.99 - $5 PCQ, Bluetooth earpiece @ 9.99 - $5 PCQ, and 3 M&Ms battery-powered fans with candy @ 10 cents!

Best part is that I got a $3 OYNO Cat for buying the SB bars, making them = free!

Deal is:

1/1-1/24, buy SBL pkgs of Fiber Fit bars, Protein Fit bars or 100 Calorie snack bars. Buy 2 get $1.50, buy 3 get $3, buy 4 or more get $4 OYNO. Must be purchased in one order. Limited to product in stock.

Also, heads up if you get a Cat notice about Tools for Schools -- don't toss it until you check to see if it has a coupon! I got $3 off 20pk Scott TP. It's just the right 1/4 of the paper or so -- I didn't see it at first.

Please help me! How do I get all those Jars of sauce for $2? I make lots of pasta and could really use this deal! Thank you.

I got 12 jars of the Ragu for $5 by buying 12 Traditional, Marinara, or Meat (the others didn't work) at $1.50 each = $18

The I used 4-$1.25 off coupons wyb 3 jars of Ragu (I bought mine on Ebay for $1 It looks like you can now only get $1 off 2 jar coupons, which is even better. see link (http://cgi.ebay.com/Ragu-pasta-sauce-coupons-20-1-off-any-2-exp-1-30-10_W0QQitemZ160394622193QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item255843b4f1#ht_500wt_1182)).
$18 - $1.25-$1.25-$1.25-1.25=$13

I paid the $13 then received the 4 Catalinas for $2 each, totaling $8. My net oop $13-8=$5

The Catalina printing is $2 off your next order for every 3 Ragu jars you purchase. I found this only worked on the Traditional, Marinara, or Meat

I used my McCormick's coupon last night and got the garlic sea salt grinder for .49 (I have 2 $1 tearpad Qs but didn't use -- saving for something else). There was a guy looking through the grinders and he said "That's a great price for the McCormick's." I said, "With the coupon, you mean?" He didn't really answer me, so I don't think he knew about the Q!

My PC is one that fries or steams seafood right there, so I decided to try the swai fillet @ 3.99/lb. The fishmonger said it was similar to farm-raised tilapia. I don't like fish much, so I usually get the mildest they have, like tilapia or flounder.

Well, the swai was :yummy: ! Mild, buttery, slightly sweet. It held together well in the frying but was tender and flaky. (Maybe my fry guys are just really good, but I think they serve better fried fish than any restaurant in the area!)

Got some cole slaw at the deli and a Sobe and sat in the dining area to rest and stretch my back (I had thrown it out at the SCO and was almost in tears, but it got better).

HEADS UP for next week: some good paper product deals!

Scott TP regular or extra soft, 12-roll $6 -- I've been getting lots of Cats for $2 off lately
Quilted Northern double roll 12-pk or Brawny 8-roll or giant 6-roll, 2/$12 - $2/2 iSave coupon = 2/$10
Kleenex 180 Ultra or 280 regular, or 8-pk Pocket Pack, BOGO
Charmin 18-roll Ultra $10

Also, they will have Angus top round London broil @ 1.99/lb -- less than half price -- and Savings Packs of boneless chix breast 1.99/lb.

Oh, and save up some Progresso Qs -- the Vegetable Classics will be $1.

Do you know if they can grill fish at PC's?... fried isn't exactly good for the diet (at 346.5 to start the year I need to lose weight... already down 3lbs... yaay)

They will fry or steam; I don't think they have a grill. At my PC, it's set up in the sushi area (i.e., tempura fryers). The steamed shrimp is yummy.

Hmmm. It just occurred to me that I probably could get steamed rice there, too!

Congrats on a good start, and good luck!

This week's 4-Day Coupons from PriceChopper.com:

6 oz. in water Price Chopper Solid White Albacore Tuna, 2 for $1 with coupon *must buy 2
All Varieties 9-12 oz. Snyder's Pretzels $1
Al Fresco All Natural Chicken Sausage 12 oz. Dinner Links $1 :yummy:
Fresh Dole Iceberg Salad 12oz Bag 99 cents

Those Al Fresco sausages are awesome! I don't eat pork, so they're perfect for me. The dinner links are the larger ones, 4 to a package. I've bought the sweet apple with maple syrup and the sundried tomato with basil and tomatoes. (They also have an amazing blueberry breakfast sausage!) Look for peelies on some of the packages.

There's more info and a link to a coupon here. (http://www.alfrescoallnatural.com/)

I sent hubby this week and I just looked at the receipts and they took off $1 of each instead of marking down to $1. I did not need more pretzels or sausages for that price.

My cousin tried to get me the sausage, but all they had was jalapeno, and yo soy gringa! Spiciest thing I can eat is Taco Bell chicken soft taco. I actually got something there once and had to return it because it didn't say in the description that it was SPICY!

Quaker BOGO:
Oatmeal (3.99 my store)

Cap'n Crunch

Don't forget the Q is coded 30000 00008 -- so it will attach to *ahem* a certain quantity (http://slickdeals.net/forums/showthread.php?t=889094) of ANY Quaker products.

They charge for that? :bigeye: At my store they say they'll fry or steam seafood for free -- but maybe it costs more because it's alive?

Picked up my steak tonight, though. The cashier wasn't sure how to do the coupon but the AM was awesome. (She didn't realize there were Qs on Facebook, though she knew about the website Qs.) Remember the coupon is good on TWO items! They just have to do the coupon procedure (weight then code) twice.

Queensbury had 5 carts full of clearance -- mostly different from the earlier clearance -- and I snagged lasagne $1, organic spaghetti sauce $1, Gold Bond pocket size .30, cashew butter $2, Renuzit super odor neutralizer refill 2-pk (for over the litter box!) $2 and the last, lonely 19.99 bluetooth headset left from the Christmas electronics, marked 9.99 but last week they had $5 store Qs on them and you could see where somebody had taken this one off (probably to stick on something they wanted! LOL!) The cashier showed it to the manager and he said, "Give it to her for $4 just to get rid of it!" :woot:

I left the Statue of Liberty and George Washington Chia Pets for someone else. :lmao:
