BuckyBalls!!! I want this one so bad. They're small balls of magnetic hematite. You can twist them into different shapes, lots of fun.

I did the Lawry's campaign about 2 months ago? It was great. I actually do use Lawry's and they sent 3 full products of marinade, seasoning salt, and I think bbq sauce..Not sure.
Just check and I got in the Tonka, my nephew is going to love this!

Me too! My son just saw a commercial for these (or something pretty similar) this week and begged for one. I initially rolled my eyes (and cursed myself silently for not having the tv on commercial-free Nick Jr.) but then lo and behold, I got the Bzzcampaign. His birthday's coming up, so perfect timing!
I got in as well! I believe I saw on the confirmation page after the survey that we will receive the Sensitive Skin Cleanser, Moisturizer, Night Cream, and Eye Cream. If so, that's awesome!!!

That is awesome! I clicked accept so fast I didn't even see what we were getting and it's not on the campaign page. It did mention handing out samples, so not sure everything is full-size. Regardless, I'm super-psyched. I've been using their lip balms, cuticle cream, and lotion for years, but never sprung for the skincare line...

Just got the invite for the Burt's Bee campaign and got in. Sounds awesome ! Hoping for full size products for ourselves and samples to pass out. I remember the Burt's Bee for the lip balm and they sent a ton of the lip balms out to pass out. I gave one to just about everyone and still have a few in my drawer to use. Hoping they once again send a bunch of sample to pass to friends and family. Good luck all as the invites are still going out.

Did anyone else have an issue using the "Free" coupon for the Science Diet cat food? Petco wouldn't take it today.... they said someone came in with same coupon yesterday, and the register would not recognize the bar code, so they "think" they may be fraudulent. I didn't bother arguing.... they asked if they could make a copy of it, so they could call and check on why they couldn't get it to work. (of course,I couldn't help but say..."well, you can make a copy, but that is fraudulent"... hee hee...) If someone can duplicate a silver coupon with halograms on it,...that would be shocking. But, of course, I guess it is possible that someone did make a coupon up that had the same info on it.

I haven't had an invite in ages with exception to the John Grisham campaign. I was surprised with that one that they offered The Firm since it's been out for years and I think most anyone who reads fiction has read the book or seen the movie. I selected to receive The Confession instead and really enjoyed reading it. A little slow in the beginning due to Grisham belaboring the background a bit (maybe it really was necessary?) but I was hooked by the time I was a quarter way through it. I think it may be his best book yet.
Crossing my fingers for one of the newer campaigns SOON!!!!

Got the invitation for the Blackbox wine, but they require me to host a party for 20 ppl. No problem to invite 20 ppl to come for a free drink for me as my friends all like to drink, but they only offer to pay for the half of the cost of wine (they send party pakage which includes a MIR for 50% of the cost of wine). Still wondering if I should join or not. Opinion?

Got the same invite.... called the liquor store, a box is $25! So to host a real wine tasting with several different wines could get quite expensive, which is exactly what I wrote when I declined the invite. I mean really??? Send me a free bottle of wine!
The minute I cancelled, there was another invite for Green Mountain Coffee, that I accepted.

There are some weird laws about sending people free booze, which is probably whey they cannot send free wine. But they could at least send a Visa gc or something to off-set the cost or a MIB for the full cost of the wine (which might also be against the law in some states, not sure).

I'd decline, unless you were already planning to host a party for another event where you'd be serving wine. I don't like the idea of having to spend my own money to host parties to promote products!

I told them the same about the reason why I declined it. :)
But I did not get the invitation for the Green Mountain Coffee. That would be awesome.

Nope, I thought about it then declined because:
1. I am not a fan of MIR: I lost so much money for forgetting to submit during the timeframe, lost the receipts....
2. Saving of 50% a box of wine which equal $12, then I have to pay for other wines to compare, then pay for the snacks to be paired with wines for 20 ppl. That would be quite an expense for me. (If they did NOT require to host a party for 20, I may accept the invitation- just may only).
BTW, just got the invitation for the Burt's Bees too. I am feeling the love from Bzzagent. :)

I just got the Burt's Bees campaign. So excited about this one!
Me, too! So, so happy! This is my 4th current, ongoing campaign. Never had as many as this.
I love Burt's Bees stuff. The scent is super fantastic. I find the scent very calming and love smelling it on my skin at night. I am excited to try the new sensitive version as I can put Burt's Bee's on my entire body except for my face which will break out. So I am hoping the sensitive type solves this problem.
This helps to make up for not getting the Werthers (oh, I am so addicted to that!) and the Green Mountain (so, so love coffee and that line, in particular!)

I wish I could get the Burt's Bees one. I'm in the Trend Micro antivirus one, and that's it. The Stylefind one doesn't really count because you just make an account that's free anyways, so I really don't get why they had a campaign for it.

09-23-2011, 07:17 AM
I got a survey yesterday asking about "lip balm and mascara" in the questions it directly mentioned Burts Bee, Chapstick, and Covergirl lip balms...and the only question about mascara was "how long ago did you start wearing it?" I was hoping it would lead to the Burts Bee campaign, but I doubt I'd get that lucky after the Tonka one this week!

I got the Burts Bees invite, then right after signing up I got that survey
I want into the Burts Bees campaign sooo badly, this pregnancy is killing my skin and BB is such a good product for moisture! *sigh* I check Bzzagent like 4 times a day to see if I've gotten in, and nothing.

Can't remember exactly what they said but I know it was 4 different "sensative skin" products such as facial cleanser, moisturizer, & 2 others...

I got the Tonka car today. Although the BzzGuide says
"Require one 20-30 minute charge for 15-30 minutes of run time"
the actual instructions say 5-10 minutes of run time... not even CLOSE!!
I hope that's a misprint... !!!
My friend has one of these from Amazon. He said between 15 -30 minutes of play time depending on how many stunts you do. He's got 30 min of play with just regular driving around, doesn't do well in grass he said. Plus an initial 4 hour first-time charge...yuk, since my kids are watching the mailman daily to play with it...:bounce:

It would be super fantastic if we got 4 full size products! It's nice to see more and more manufacturer's doing stuff for "sensitive skin".
FYI, Target online, has a printable coupon for $1 off 8 oz Burt's Bee's Cranberry & Pomegranate sugar scrub. Regular line, not sensitive, as far as I can tell.

For people getting Burt's Bees campaign:
I noticed at my Rite Aid this morning that they carry 4 products in the sensitive line.
Facial cleanser, eye cream, night cream, and daily moisturizing cream. Prices at my store range from $9.99 to $14.99 (I think we tend to be a bit higher than other stores)
It would be wonderful if we got one of each. Are there other products in this line?
This campaign is going to be such fun to Bzz!

Wait to get a kit and then (presumably) bombard your social networks with updates about it.
Personally, I never Bzz, AT ALL, and I currently have eight campaigns.
I worked hard for them on one campaign, they lied about how they would use the results of it, they don't get work from me anymore.

Heads up, I didn't have the Green Mountain coffee one as recently as this morning, but lo and behold, just checked and it's there now. They asked if I had a K-cup brewer at work or home and I said no, so sure hope they'll send beans or ground coffee!
Now I'm in Burt's Bees and Green Mountain and Tonka - hope the first two will counteract the big carbon footprint the latter will create! :)

I'm surprised that you have so many campaigns, because I know they've been talking about cutting out agents who take the kits and give nothing in return. They've been asking agents on FB how they feel about people who don't submit any reports during a campaign and whether or not we feel that they should still be given campaigns. The general concensus is no. Most people say "Give me the campaign instead and I'll be happy to submit at least 2 reports."
I'm curious as to how they lied to you about using your reports. I was under the impression that the company sponsoring the campaign uses the information that they collect.

Got the car...it's WAY tinier than I thought it was going to be! Kids used it once but not for very long before the battery started wearing down. Plugged it in & it's now recharging. It's cute but NOT worth $24.95 in my opinion...PLUS you need 5 AA batteries for the handset.

The problem is that they don't keep track of who's submitting reports. They don't even read them.
A while ago, Bzz stated that top agents from a particular campaign would receive early access to the SodaStream campaign. This was not the case; access was granted randomly as my SIL (who by her own admission has NEVER actually Bzzed) was invited while I, who actually worked on that campaign like the fool that I was () was not. Then, they ran a competition with that company that gathers receipts - they arbitrarily extended the deadline with NO notification to users, didn't answer emails, and I still have yet to see proof that the agents named as iPad winners actually exist.
This used to be a great company. I used to love working with them and creating Bzz about products I believed in. Now they run these ridiculous virtual campaigns, don't care for their longtime users, are making women dance around their kitchens with mops... no thanks. But I'll take what I can get in the meantime.

Good point! After being with them a year, I have yet to receive a "great" report rating. I feel like sometimes I really have followed their recommendations of a "great" report, only to get a "good" rating. Then other times I buzz a few sentences and still get a "good" rating. Are they even reading these things???

Hi BzzAgents-
I work for BzzAgent- and I wanted to clear a few things up.
First of all, we read each and every single report that is submitted. Not only do we have to make sure that it's filed under the correct campaign, but we also have to make sure it's been correctly filed (as a face to face bzz, a tweet, etc) and we review it for content. Our reviewers often read hundreds of reports per day, so to get a "great" rating, you really have to go above and beyond with your Bzz and make an impression on the reviewer. They write personalized responses for every great rating - and every fair rating- which also shows that we're reading every report.
Mamegoma, we're sorry you felt like you were deceived about the SodaStream campaign. It's hard to know exactly what happened without knowing more details, but our contents are authentic and do work according to the rules we establish. If you ever have any questions about them, you're welcome to post them here - we check in regularly - or you can email us and our customer service team will get back to you.
We want Bzzing to be a positive experience, and we're constantly trying to come up with ways to keep you interested and engaged. Your suggestions are welcome! Keep the feedback coming, and as always, I'll try to answer your questions as best I can, so keep those coming too.
Thanks!

I have a very hard time being excited about bzzing about anything lately, the last 3 campaigns I've been in had bombed severely, and I simply did them not because I was interested in them, but because I wasn't quite sure I could deny them and still receive invites. The type of campaigns I would enjoy or that my family and friends would want to know more about, I never get invited to, and I simply will not make a fool out of myself on Twitter and FB begging and pleading for anything.

i agree, i love that you submit a report telling them what a waste of time the campaign is and you get 50 points.. and the SAME canned response, plus you get the response within 2 mins of submitting the report, i read fast but I can't check that much info that fast..

I enjoy buzzing face-to-face and I think that it is what buzzing means - real people sharing real product experience. I did buzz via twitter and facebook but I don't want to spam my friends just because I want the products but really want to share my own experience, either good or bad. If you ask me to beg for joining, I would leave it to the others. It's interesting that we have the go through screener to see if we are eligible for certain Bzz programs. However, it is just tweeting, videoing, blogging that people are granted joining campaigns. How can Bzz know that people join daily bzz are totally eligible for the campaigns? No screener? Interesting.

Unless the item has not been released to the market yet i really cant see any value to anyone in even having bzzreports. It does show i guess that the person talked to people after getting the kit but that could be made up to. If the reports are actually reviewed (which i dont think they are). Do you go back and actually check that there is consistency in what the person has submitted in those reviews and previous ones. It would be extremely time consuming and probably doesnt happen.
For 30 cents (max) per report do you think anyone on any side of this is really going to put much effort into them.
It really isnt about opinions when a product has been on the market more than 6 months or so. The company making that item already knows what people think of it, what works and what doesnt. If it breaks or doesnt do what its supposed to, with a slew of customer complaints it isnt sold for very long.

I also get the same canned response and can't believe they actually read the reports because I accidently deleted half of my report and suff ran together that didn't even make sense and got a good report also lol..
As for begging for campaigns not happening for me either that is the worst ideal buzz has had since frog pond or whatever:lmao:

I get the weather comment occasionally too. I occasionally get something else, so at least they're trying to mix it up.
It took me a while to catch on though. The first time I got the weather response I thought okay, yeah, small talk. The second time we were having a legitimate weather experience so I thought wow, they are paying attention! The third time I thought hey, wait a minute...lol.
About the time they started scoring them about 10 seconds after I submitted them, I stopped believing they read every one. But maybe they just respond and read later, I don't know. I just turn in my reports, accept my points and don't worry about it too much. Use them, lose them, I don't care. The first few campaigns I had I sweated bullets over the bzz reports. They are easier now and some are better than others. (I sometimes just phone it in to get it done with.) I just enjoy trying the new things.
I'm also glad my name here is not the same as my bzzagent name since they are now coming in and "checking" on what people are complaining about.

My husband received this:
You’re invited to the Jim Beam Bold Choice BzzCampaign!
Greetings BzzAgent ****,
Ever listened to your heart and done something pretty crazy? Like move across the country, quit your job abruptly or train for a marathon? The Jim Beam Bold Choice BzzCampaign is all about making the right decisions for you — no matter what anyone thinks or how difficult it may be. Because in the end, bold choices build your personality, make you stronger and wiser, and bring you anywhere but backward.
Please note that this BzzCampaign does not officially launch until later — we’re just getting a jump on the invites so we can send you your BzzKit as soon as the campaign launches. Visit the Campaign Invite to learn more and join

I will say they don't give the same kind of personal responses that they used to. When i first joined 5 years ago I would usually get a response longer than my report :P. They still read them they just have alot more reports to deal with and can't give the same responses they used to, about half the time i still get a response that responds to things i have said in the report so i know at least they skim through it lol.

Actually, where they are a company..in the past the Mods have not allowed companies to join the site, since they have a vested interest in this thread. I'm not sure if that has changed, you could PM a MOD and ask. ( I could be wrong here )

Question:
Who has access to read the Bzz reports that we submit, other than Bzz agent and the product companies, themselves?
Are our reports, online for other agents to read or others in the general public to be able to read?
Way back when, there used to be a button to click as to whether we wanted things to be shared with other agents, (I think that's what it used to say?) but now I do not see anything like that.
Anyone know for sure?
Thanks!

I don't care if Bzz sends spies to websites. Any company, and especially one that is of the nature BzzAgent is, should continue to monitor these sites. If they are as legit as they say they are, they should care as much (if not more) about the negative feedback. Anyone can say good things, but businesses only grow if they learn from their mistakes. If BzzAgent reads this forum and brushes it off, they are doing themselves a disservice. I've never been in a more honest forum. I say keep ranting. Maybe it will make BzzAgent a better place. If not, there are dozens of other competitors that would be happy to have our opinions and product "bzzing", good or bad.

I don't care if they don't like what I have to say - I'm going to say it anyway - but to me there's a difference between monitoring and infiltrating. It's like if McDonald's went around on a non-McD's forum where people said Big Macs are terrible and started posting WE ARE SORRY THAT YOU DO NOT LIKE OUR HAMBURGERS BUT THEY ARE DELICIOUS HAMBURGERS, THE BEST HAMBURGERS IN THE WORLD, NEXT TIME TELL A MANAGER OR, YOU KNOW WHAT, MAYBE IT'S YOU

I don't know if it's been posted about, but there's a Fekkai campaign! I just got my invite to that one and got in, so that's pretty exciting! There was not any email about joining, it was just there when I signed in.
As for the responses from Bzzagent to reports, I actually tend to get personalized responses and they do actually read them in my case. I've never felt like they weren't actually reading them.
If you're not comfortable using your personal twitter for spreading bzzagent stuff, make a secondary one for product reviewing that's public. That way people will see it but you won't be spamming friends and family. Then if you REALLY ARE super stoked on something, you could also post it on your regular twitter too.
Plus since it's public, the company will still get the feedback and people can search the product name and come across your reviews. I also have a special blog for product reviewing that I use, that my friends know about and read as well as my regular personal blog. If you separate it out some, it's easy to give honest reviews and good feedback that people are still able to read and use to make a decision from.

I joined the coffee campaign this morning right before 8am central. I had an email when I got up, went to the site and joined with no trouble. Maybe it filled up early. Did those that got the full message try it later than 8am?

I'm surprised that some people are still actually receiving personalized responses to their BzzReports.
I just checked my email archives, and I have almost 20 archived "Your Campaign Activity has been Accepted" emails going back to October 2010, and every single one of them has a Good score, and the following comment:
Great work, BzzAgent kdka421! Thanks for all your efforts letting everyone know about this campaign! We hope you've been having fun trying it out - and we bet your friends love hearing about your experience. We certainly do. Keep us posted on who you Bzz next, and we'll look for another terrific report soon.
 I just assumed this was what everyone was getting now, for whatever reason.

Had an email invite to green mountain and saw I also had Fedekki woo hoo! The GM was full but I wasn't to unhappy because I got in the Fedekki I love there products but can't usually afford them so I usually only buy them once or twice a year with a giftcard. I can really buzz this!

I get the same canned response also. I have rarely gotten a personal one since this started with the canned ones. I also belong to another site where every single person says exactly that - canned response within a minute or two of submitting the report. Occasionally a personalized one, but very very rare to get that.

Has anyone gotten into one of the campaigns they post on the right hand side of the page? I only clicked I want in once, just curious
Those are daily bzz campaign. No use to just click I want in, you have to create a blog post, make a video, or share something in your facebook, then send to bzzagent twitter with the link or email (not sure which one but I have seen that in their FB page mentioning email). According to what Jono said, if you made something that catch their eyes, you may have the chance to be picked for that campaign. I won't waste my time to beg for that although I really love to participate in some campaigns. The time frame is too short (impossible for someone working 8 to 5) and I believe in bzzing the real product experience with real people, not bzzing before I try the product and not spam my friends.

I have dry spells for a long time. Now, only on 2 including this new one. But, I did remember to have many at one time. If those daily bzz campaigns are not chosen the way it is, I guess that I may be able to get on more.

Well, no instant response or instant points for bzz reports or twittering today. My twitters and bzz reports have been getting instant reponses with the points but for some reasons I have gotten no response from my twitters or bzz reports I made a couple hours ago. I didn't mind getting a canned response instantly with my stuff points to claim. Wonder what the hold up is today? Anyone else getting a delay today instead of instant response ??
I did a couple tweets and my history says they were approved, but I don't see any comments or points offered for them yet.

A couple of weeks ago when the scrubbing bubbles squirted all over our new walls, I posted about the situation and how serious it could have been. I received the canned "good" response. I posted on facebook twice, to no avail. Finally, I submitted a review that they read. In the mean time I contacted SC Johnson and they directly contacted me about the situation.

I got into the Black Box Wine campaign, but not Fekkai. I'm lucky to get two campaigns right now after being in Sweet Bee status. There's nothing else down the road map for this status. I wish I had 7-9 campaigns like other people around here do. That would be fun and help boost up more early invites.
Does anyone notice if there's a pattern in the day of the week to check for bzz agent campaigns? I got an e-mail yesterday morning, but it was late after other people bzz'd about it.

He said he would look into my account about it being flagged and when I asked what I had possibley done wrong, he stated that looking into my account was "on the bottom of his list". Then he continued talking the rules and how I didn't obey the rules.
There are too many companies out there to test out products for who are very polite and patient with anyone that calls in with questions or concerns. ANY company that would treat its followers with such disrespect is not worth belonging to in my opinion.

As to the pp- there is no infiltrating when we are all on the same team. :shake: They are id'ing themselves as Bzz and responding to specific issues posted- this is all within the guidelines and what Bzz SHOULD be doing!!!!

This is indicative of the way Bzz is going I'm afraid. Dave Balter was all about transparency and honestly and truth be told, that has been sorely lacking since their venture into social media. Even if the guy didn't give a rat's ass about your account, he should have never let you know that.

I'm trying baby! Thing is though, despite Bzz's "infiltration," nothing is remedied. It's a continuous "we know," "we're working on it," "sorry," response. Being here is fine but again the feedback is falling on deaf ears.

Sweet Bee is the nursing home for agents. We sit around in our rocking chairs Bzzing away because it's all we know how to do. And we never go anywhere, we just wait to die off. What I love about bzz is they are a great example for my classes in PR of what NOT to do when you make it big. I am guessing that bzz heard somewhere that having your name posted around the web makes this huge impact on your sales, popularity, etc. Here is the problem: That only occurs if the "bzzing" is honest, good bzzing . . . and we all know that as agents. The truth is, word of mouth, even on the net is only good if it is honest and comes in the form of genuine flattery. It is like someone telling you "Wow, you look really nice today." First time they say it, it is a compliment. If they say it every day, the same thing, every day for months you no longer believe them. Bzz went to quantity over quality, and I think we all know how that works out in the end.

Mine still said in progress yesterday. I just checked and it says: Shipped via U.S. Mail on 09/29/2011
Haven't gotten any emails about it being shipped. Maybe it will come today. :)

Received my Burts Bees Bzzkit today - not really what I expected. I thought we were getting 4 different products? I received 2:
6 oz Burts Bees Facial Cleanser
1.8 oz Burts Bees Daily Moisturizing Cream
8 - 0.1 oz samples of the daily moisturizing cream samples attached to a $1 off card

Does anyone know what will be in the Jim Beam campaign? DH saiys he will sign up if he gets free Jim Beam, but not if he gets some "stupid coupons" . . . his words, not mine. :lmao:

Got the "fake invite" to Jim Beam...so either they don't think women drink Jim Beam, or don't care. :/
Although I don't drink Jim Beam I know plenty of women who do. In fact my cousin does. It seems prejudiced to me.

I also received the "We don't want you, but invite your friends!" email and, while it sucks, that could just be the demographic that the customer specified. Many products are marketed to specific demographics (gender, age, income bracket etc.)

Very, very unlikely they will ship actual booze. You will most likely get some rebate coupons, like the other alcohol campaigns they've done in the past. Maybe a glass or some stickers too?

They have never shipped actual alcohol before, that I have ever heard of. It usually is a rebate and sometimes not even for the full cost. They have had whiskey campaigns before to get more men to sign up. I also recall people having accounts locked after that too. Just beware that they do use software that can tell if the same person is submitting reports on more than one account. I am not saying anyone in particular does this, just saying. They can tell by how you spell, use punctuation and the style of writing. It is not just about the ip or how many computers are used and at what times.

I hardly have time to write my OWN bzz reports. He would have to write his. But like I said, it sounds like he would get a rebate or coupon, and he has never used either in his entire life.

Your signing up other people to qualify for BZZ campaigns. how many accounts are you managing ?
Firstly, let's get this settled quickly before the rumors start flying, my fiance was sitting DIRECTLY behind me, he was working on a paper for college and when I asked him if he wanted to join he said "Sure, sign me up, you know me better than anyone else." 90% of what I filled out was basic info (name, address, age, etc), the few things I wasn't sure the answer to I asked him. I manage 1 account, my own, he will have to manage his own account or let it sit and rot. I've been with Bzz for a very long time and have been a Sweet Bee for almost a yr now, I've never done anything screwy with this company or any others. I don't make multiple accounts, I don't pretend to be my children. I'm me, it's probably why I make very little off surveys.

This is indicative of the way Bzz is going I'm afraid. Dave Balter was all about transparency and honestly and truth be told, that has been sorely lacking since their venture into social media. Even if the guy didn't give a rat's ass about your account, he should have never let you know that.
Thanks for your comment & I totally agree that he should've been honest with me.

Has anyone else had problems with the Titanium program messing up their computer? I had to uninstall all other virus protection to install it and then... got my first virus ever on this computer! Ugh...

I could never get it to finish installing on mine, which doesn't have any virus protection. All I have is adware/spyware protection. I don't know why it never finishes installing but I gave up after 4 tries. I know its good software because my son's homeschooling computer came loaded with it.

In my opinion as an IT pro, Avast is the only decent anti-virus program, and it's free. Norton, McAfee, etc, are all garbage. Couldn't pay me to install anything like that on our computers.

anyone get into the soda stream soda maker bzz campaign?
According to Jono they hope to get all the daily bzz done by end of week. So nobody has heard anything yet. It was on the BzzAgent FB page under one person.
Hope this helps. I'm waiting on that one too! Fingers crossed and good luck to all who entered for the SodaStream campaign.

Exactly. It's a glorified sweepstakes disguised as a "campaign" in order to get around the obvious violation of laws with regards to sweepstakes. They never do post an official list of "winners" or "odds". Bastards.

Anyone else get invite for the Smarterer Campaign? Looks like I will be passing on this one!
Smarterer is a platform designed to score individuals on their digital, social, and technical skills... including BzzAgent! But, the real power in Smarterer is that you can "show what you know" to the world and prove to your friends, co-workers, and just about anyone how Smart(erer) you really are. Take the BzzAgent Smarterer test and see how you stack up!
* Join this campaign, take the Smarterer test exclusively for BzzAgents, and get your score. How do you rank?
* Once you get your score for the BzzAgent Smarterer Test then test your knowledge by taking tests on Facebook, Twitter, Excel, Google, and many more. Prove to your co-workers you know more than they do!
* Share your badge on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, or anywhere you express who you are!
