Did anyone get this email?

Please email us when you complete the survey between now and tomorrow!!!

OPINION POINTS POSSIBLE: 20 Opinion Points!

Determination of eligibility for Opinion Points may be made at any time during the survey for reasons which may include, but are not necessarily limited to demographics, inconsistencies, overly hurried responses, or for other reasons. If a particular survey is hosted by a third party, that party has sole discretion in determining whether Opinion Points will be awarded. Opinion Outpost works closely with these third parties to ensure you are treated fairly. We will look into all disputes involving Opinion Point awards, and will do our best to make sure you get your points. If it is determined, however, that you did not meet the survey selection criteria, you will not receive Opinion Points for that survey.

To participate in the survey, simply click on the link below (or paste the link into your browser). You may also participate by visiting www.opinionoutpost.com. Once there click on the survey number under 'Available Surveys' to begin the survey.

SURVEY LINK: https://www.opinionoutpost.com/gateway.php?historyId=616707795

LENGTH: Approximately 15 minutes. Please spend an appropriate amount of time reading and answering questions.

This survey will re-direct back to our site where you may be asked to enter your email address to validate your participation and receive any Opinion Points. You will ONLY be awarded Opinion Points for a survey if you qualify and complete it. Surveys may be hosted by Opinion Outpost, or by third parties.

We hope to hear your opinion soon!

I've been doing surveys for OO for some time now and don't see where they're purposely cheating anyone out of incentives. However, I believe the negativity will bite ya every time. :shake:

Received an invite to a survey (#36097086 - Greenfield Online) WHILE Checking my e-mail and went to start it within minutes of receiving the invite and it already said they had filled their quota after entering my age and minor information. Is this a common occurance with Opinion Outpost?

Was my first successfully completed survey with Opinion Outpost. Quick 10 Minute Survey for me ended up being mostly about Legal Music Downloads.

if you aren't receiving surveys, send them a note, i got this in response "Thanks for contacting us about this issue.

When you take surveys we watch for many variables that help us determine the quality of the data you are giving to us. In your case, several surveys were flagged with a data concern. After looking into this, the severity of the issues has been minimal compared to others.

We do know that our data quality system is not perfect and that at times there are surveys that don't have issues that are flagged as a possible data concern. We are always looking for ways to improve this process. In aggregate we look at your combined scores and use these to determine how often we send surveys.

You will be receiving new survey invites soon. Please be careful when responding to future surveys. There is a chance you may be set to not receive surveys again due to the past issues. We will make a note on your account and review to see if there are data concerns past this point. Please let me know if you have any concerns about this matter."

Opinion Outpost is starting the "error after survey completion" crap so they don't have to pay you for your answers.

I've only had it error out once after I completed a survey and I emailed them because instead of saying completed on my history it said started and when I clicked to try to submit it would say it was completed. They said that occasionally that happens and that after the survey closed they'd check my info against the information the survey people send (saying who completed) and credit me then if I'd completed it. They did. It never showed up right on my survey history but my account did get the points.

I've been getting bombarded with surveys recently. I just can't keep up. It's not only Opinion Outpost but also from Mindfield, Lightspeed, Toluna, and others. I just started deleting them since I don't have time to do all of these. I originally was only a member of like 3 but that was over a year ago and I rarely got surveys so I joined a few more. Now they are constantly sending me surveys and I can't keep up.

JewBagel

They seem to have fixed most of the problem now but I still have three that say started that I know were completed in the last week. At least I didn't lose any of my earnings this time. Last time I lost $8 and it took them forever to re-credit it.

Hasn't happened to me but I keep fully completing surveys and not getting credit for them. Every time I contact them about it they say they must have been closed or filled but when that is the case I almost always end up back at OO with the option to play the instant win and whatnot so I do not believe that is the case, seems rather shady.

Got a email saying how they are phasing out the "check" part.

And that you will either get a online amazon code or a Citi bank debit card and if your points are under 25$ and u choose the card u get a fee taken out

I wish the checks were faster arriving but i dont mind waiting for the checks. I dont like that they are phasing them out

You will also be able to get a virtual debit card and not have to wait for a physical card to be mailed. Not sure how much use that will be for some, but it will be an option.

OO has been really screwed up for me the last couple of days. Got a survey that took me to a blank page, got another invite and this time it worked, watched 3 videos, asked tons of question and it error-ed out. Now it says in my history "Not a match"

Then tried to take another one and it wouldn't even load. I gave up for today.

I've had trouble with them for the past few days too. At the end of a very long 45 min. survey the other night, it messed up so the survey shows as "pending". I emailed them about it and they said it's by a 3rd party and will take 2 to 3 weeks to resolve. Whatever. Then I attempted another survey they sent to me and it went straight to the screen where you put in your email address to confirm that you took the survey. This is the first time I've ever had trouble with their surveys but I think I'll give it a rest for awhile and hopefully they will get things straightened out for me. I very much dislike doing 45 min. surveys anyway and usually don't do them, so it figures I would have trouble - just my luck.

Id rather get a check...it never seems to take long and i can deposit or cash it without any problems.

The virtual debit wouldnt work for me. And the physical debit will charge a fee. And if i use it to pay bills and stuff will i be able to take the money on it out at a ATM? and then how much will i be charged for doing that i wonder

This happened to me a few months ago on a three video survey - never got paid it either. I emailed them but just got the typical canned responses. I was giving them the benefit of the doubt, but seeing how this is still an issue it appears the 3rd party company is taking your results and then acting like you DQd. OO probably gets enough payment from the requesting company that it is willing to look the other way, not pay anyone out, and blame it on someone else. Win-win for OO and other company...lose for us.

They've done that to me three times now and their response to me was, 'We have already awarded points to all those who completed the survey; unfortunately, you were not reported by the client to have successfully completed it.' When I brought up the fact that it said PENDING and not QUOTA MET/NOT A MATCH like everything else I don't qualify for/complete, and the fact that there was a points amount listed in the Points Earned column instead of nothing, should have proved I completed the survey, they told me they would 'look into it' and I never heard back from them or received the points.

that has happened to me too..and any amount of writing to them doesn't help..so i just don't bother to tell them. Infact just now i took a survey about frozen foods and i completed the whole damn thing ,and it still says "started" on my pg!

I took a survey, and after it redirected me back to the OO page, it had a red box saying I had already taken it. I wrote them an e-mail saying yes, I had taken it JUST THEN, and they wrote me back saying that it was listed in my history as taken. I checked my history, and sure enough, it was listed for that same day. But the way it was worded, and the red box made it look like I wasn't receiving credit because I had taken it sometime prior to that one time.

Maybe they can get it together. Writing to them doesn't always seem to help, because it doesn't seem like they can see common sense sometimes. I hope y'all can get your stuff worked out with them.

Take a screenshot of the ones you finish . They wont be able to dispute that and honestly if they get a whole bunch of people that had same issue with same survey unless they are a ripoff company they cant dispute it.

Make sure all your profiles are properly filled out, the more details they have the more surveys they send you. Each one tells you in the emails they send you or in the available surveys section how many points each particular survey is worth and the emails tell you the approximate time each particular survey will take to complete.

OPINION POINTS POSSIBLE: 20 Opinion Points!

LENGTH: Approximately 15 minutes. Please spend an appropriate amount of time reading and answering questions.

SURVEY HOSTED BY: Communispace

I went into the survey just to see who it was for and what it paid (I can't join another one right now). It's a GOOD one. It is probably going to be a little bit harder to qualify for than some of the others out there, but this is one of the ones that pays $20/month.

It DQed me before it even let me start. Maybe you will have better luck than I did. The main page of the survey looked like it came from ViewPoint, so I'm sure it was a PT.

Just finished a super easy survey that said 50 points/15 minutes but took only 5 - 7 minutes to complete. Had another survey waiting after that, it was for GF 28 points/25 minutes which is a complete joke. Glad I DNQ right away, GF is so cheap these days though the GF surveys I get through OO pay more than the ones I get directly.

If you are not a match you do not get any points. You only get points for surveys you qualify for and complete.

They were supposedly switching to them after the 1st of the year but they are still issuing checks at this point. I prefer checks but I also enjoy the instant Amazon GC options, not a huge fan of prepaid cards.

And many have an automatic gratuity reserve when used at a restaurant but most people don't know that and won't be able to keep track of their balance without making sure they have registered the card at the card site so they can check the balance online.

With all the people willing to spend thousands of hours doing these free surveys with the delusional fantasy that it will lead to a $100,000 10 minute survey or a product test for a $2 razor, is it any wonder they have followed the other survey companies with free sweepstakes surveys? Why pay for answeres that you can get for free? Thank you free survey takers.

Sometimes the survey ends up in a product test. I guess certain surveys are sent to check whether we would qualify to give feedback on a specific item and qualifying leads to a PT.

For all those people new to OO, I just started it a few months ago. I have to say. STAY ON TOP OF YOUR EMAILS. make sure you check it a lot because i've missed a lot of surveys. Beyond that it takes a while for it to start matching you with qualifying surveys. I just finally started getting ones that work for me. Such as cell phones, tv, video games, and the like. Just stick with it. The more surveys you get DQ'd on the better it learns it seems. I'm finally up to 10 dollars in the last week. Which isn't bad. I could have had twice as much or better if I had paid more attention to it. Just stick with it. It's worth it.

I'd also add to always give honest answers. I don't thing OO is as strict as Pinecone or others but it just doesn't pay to get IP banned from all future surveys. I too have had a slow couple of months. I have a problem keeping up with all the emails. If people aren't at home 24/7 or have a life outside the interwebz, that can cost you some money I guess (or dry ice, lol).

No real point in letting your balance get that high with any company. You should request a check or amazon code from them. Never know when these companies might fold their doors or give you the boot for some reason.

If you are going for Amazon codes then I agree, there is no reason to wait because you can set the codes aside or store them in your Amazon account but if you are requesting a check it is a pain in the ass to wait for multiple small checks. I only cash out for Amazon codes here and there to fill in the difference on purchases made with Amazon code honorariums from various studies.
I always let my OO account accrue at least $200 before requesting a check, I actually let it go to over $300 before the holidays so I didn't have to keep watching for and depositing small checks. Never had a problem with cash out requests from OO and it is one of the few companies that I don't have any worries with when it comes to going under.

Completely disagree with both of you, but to each his own. It is not a hardship to run to my credit union every month with a 100-200 in small checks. Server crash, fire, natural disaster, embesslement...the list goes on and on with what could happen to your account and/or company funds, so I will continue to cash out in the 15-25 range.

If it is still listed as "Started" that means it did not record your completion of the survey and you probably won't get credited for it.

Use the site form and contact them now. When completed surveys do not change from open to pending or completed after finishing all the info might not have been recorded and they may linger as started for a week and end up changing to closed, not a match or quota met. I have been able to reenter some of the surveys that end that way and get them to complete properly but most cannot be reentered. When that happens you have to jump through hoops (such as sending screenshots) to get credited, use the site form now and give them all the info you have.

I like Opinion Outpost a lot, have had my first minor upset lately. Every survey I took the last two days ended or started with the error
"An unknown exception has occured, please contact customer support."

I got a bored email back on the first report of the issue and then a generic emails that did not apply to the situation on the rest of the reports. I think it's just a redirect error occuring when the the "did not qualify" screen should come up. Still, acknowledge it's happening and say we'll fix it!

It could have been flagged for a variety of reasons; you could have gone too long without taking a survey, been finishing surveys too quickly, given inconsistent demographic information, accessed a survey from another OO member's computer. Even failing to update your profiles can cause them to stop sending surveys, in turn they can flag you for inactivity.

Sign in and update all your profiles on the site, wait a week and if you don't get any surveys then recontact them. If/when you do get more surveys from them make sure you answer honestly and don't speed through them even if you can do so accurately.

If you're referring to the cell phone survey I called into the number they gave and asked a simple question about my phone. They told me what to do and I did the survey on the phone right after he was done. It was just asking how they did and whatnot. Very very easy. Initially I was showing I got just the 15 then I went back and checked later and it showed they had given me 30. All together it took maybe 5 minutes if that.

He didn't ask me the questions, he told me to hold on while he put me through an automated survey. I got the 15 right away and I'm not sure when they added the extra 15, maybe after they confirmed I did the phone survey. I just noticed I had more money and figured out that was why when I checked survey history. You could always write them. I didn't get anything through email.

I did write them about not receiving surveys lately and this was the response:

Your account is fine. We value your membership with Opinion Outpost.
Unfortunately, we are not able to give you a specific time frame of when you
will receive surveys. Panel members are selected at random based upon
criteria points. For example, a survey may only apply to residents of a
particular region, such as a certain country or city. The number of survey
invitations you will receive each month will vary, and you sometimes you may
not receive any survey invites for a period of time. Please remember there
is no requirement to respond to a survey invitation.

I guess just gotta wait and hopefully they pick up

Survey 39299049 is worth only 150 points and you have been credited 2 of 150 points (300 points) by mistake. Because the other 150 points were credited by mistake we had to retract them; this is the reason your account got deducted.
