Helpful S&S Info:
Instant Savings Deals Go Off Sale Price And Coupons Will Be Deducted As Well but Instant Deals that are buy 10 (or any specific # of an item) can use coupons as the register just counts the number of items.
Zero total is fine at SCO, it does not need intervention YMMV when using cats and your order is less than .25c
B1G1 Free coupon with barcode ending in 14 auto deducts and does not need intervention.
Coupon codes 00 and 01 need intervention. Free item coupons generally have those codes as well as some B1G1Free coupons.
992 coupons (including manufacturer coupon & oyno catalinas) beep at SCO. Therefore it is best to use them at regular cashier - there it will be beepless if it can attach to an item with cost greater or equal to coupon value. (Note: if you are using a regular mfr coupon on that item then one of them would beep - two coupons can't attach to the same item, therefore it is recommended to use those oynos on items for which there is no coupon such as meat, produce, etc.) Otherwise they would beep and the cashier would do one of three things: 1) put them in as store coupon - select department - grocery, etc. (must have purchases more than face value of the coupon in that department for this to take) ; 2) put it in as cash and then ring coupon only order at customer service desk; 3) make up excuses in order not to take it.
Store coupon (including oyno catalinas that are store coupons) needs an item (of any value) to attach to. It appears that it looks for nontaxable grocery items first, then for taxable grocery items (soda, candy), then for other items. In post-coupon tax state it will remove tax only if it attaches to taxable grocery item (obviously you need to have no nontaxable grocery items and at least 1 taxable grocery item in your order for it to do so). Limit 1 store coupon (of the same code) per transaction.
oyno catalinas beep on "items prohibited by law" such as alcohol, etc. and also beep on OTC meds
On B1G1 free sale you can use two coupons $x/1item or one coupon $y/2items or one B1G1F coupon for each two items

I tried the gift card deal again today and was able to use my gift cards to pay for more without a problem. But I ran into a new glitch! (figures) When the cashier scanned the $10 cat, it beeped saying it was expired. One of the CS guys came over and they ended up entering in as a $10 cash payment instead. Weird, huh?
I goofed and bought a gift card where you can load anywhere from $20-$200 on it, instead of the $100 one (they look the same and I was in a rush). The catalina didn't print for this one, so the CS guy ended up giving me back the same catalina instead of giving me cash or a gift card. I used this catalina at another store and it beeped again, saying expired. Again, they entered it as $10 cash for me. I can't imagine I'll have this good of luck with customer service folks if this problem keeps happening for me, so I may call it quits on the deal. Anyone have this problem too?

no, but a similar one... yours is quite the odd circumstance. clearly some error in their system. though for some reason i want to say someone else reported this problem, too.
i just came on to post that $10 cat is giving the usual cat problem at SNS. :rolleye: it's getting old. so sure enough, i buy a bunch of stuff, go to pay with the $10 cat. nope, beep. cashier looks all perplexed. reads fine print on cat while squinting eyes :lmao: looks at date and checks against calendar  compares total of cat to register total :lmao: and then tries again. beeeeeeeeeeep.
i explain the routine to her, complete with an eye roll and tell it's a problem with the way their registers are set up, and they'll have to go CS get cash, and enter as cash in register. oh, really?
calls head cashier over. he tries. beeeeeep. he does the whole reading, comparing, checking routine. tries again. beeeeeep. he says, ok, just put it in as cash and i'll get cash from CS.
she looks at me nods and starts laughing.
frugalsuz, you just need to know that since it is a $10 cat, the cat will look for a $10 item to attach to in your order. and since most of us don't have a single grocery item of $10, you get the beep. not what happened in your case, but just something to keep in mind for future. it's annoying that SNS refuses to fix this. i don't like the drama and the delay each time.
you shouldn't have issues at SNS with the expiry issue cos that's a very obvious computer error.

Good Morning everyone!
Last night I found: 1/1 Ritz Crackerfuls TPd exp 10-30
I used a BOGO Silk Milk q that surprisingly scanned and took off $3.99 by itself at the SCO!
I finally got my 7th Free Milk q :woot:
...and I used my RC for $2.50 ALL Oxi and redeemed it.
BTW, Dentyne gum is $1 ea, there are 1/1 q's that came from inserts (sorry can't remember) so Free

you just need to know that since it is a $10 cat, the cat will look for a $10 item to attach to in your order.
Ugh, that's annoying! Thanks for explaining. It threw me because the first time I used the $10 cat, it went through just fine, so I thought something might have changed when I did it again.

So, to recap. In order to reduce the tax we must buy 3 items in addition to the cards and scan the cards last. Do I have that exactly correct please?

Re: tax -- aren't some of you in post-coupon tax states and some of you in pre-coupon tax states? Plus what gets taxed in each state varies widely. I don't think you're going to find as simple an answer as number of items or item order when you are talking about sales tax across states and in some cases even cities and counties. The rules are vastly different.
I am in a post coupon tax state but the cat has not been taking off tax so far. I have always scanned the cards first (to be sure the cat prints) but will try the alternate method today.

wait, im confused. how much was ur OOP? .06?
cuz $3.99 -$1 mq -$2 overage from cards =.99 Or am i missing smth?
I paid 6 cents on tax.
1 bag friskies = $3.99 - $1 mq = $2.99
3 cards = $2.97
Total = $5.96 + 6 cents tax - 5 cents (bag credit) - $5 CAT = $0.97
Make sure that you scan the cards last and not first. I had to pay tax on the cards if I scan it first but if I scan my non taxable item first, the $5 CAT seems to stick to those and my tax is reduced from 19 cents to 6 cents. If I put another bag credit in I will only pay 5 cents in tax.

Buy 3 Hallmark cards (except Fathers's day cards) and get a $5 store coupon good on anthing. You can only use 1 per transaction.
The coupon prints as soon as 3 cards are scanned.
The best deal is with the .99 cards (the .49 cards work - but good luck findinf those).
If you buy 6 - total is 5.94 + tax - use one of the $5 coupons - pay about $1.31 and get 2 $5 coupons.
You can buy more that 6 cards but you can only use one $5 coupon per order.
You can also buy 3 cards and filler of $2.03 and roll, getting the $2.03 items free.

So I start with 3 cards, get the $5 coupon and then continue with 6 cards using the first $5 coupon?

I hope I am not too late but I just got back last tranny was around 11:45 am and all worked fine. I also saw a few people at the SCO at S. Attleboro and I knew they were doing the deal bec they only bought cards.
Yesterday, there were .99 cents cards that would not scan, the cashier just looked at the ones I bought and re-scanned it, just a little warning.
OT: I saw the Pepperidge Farm person stocking the the shelf, I asked if he has any PF Goldfish q's. He said he did not but gave me PF Cookie q's instead. I will use those tomorrow.;)
I am soo loving this deal!!!

Were the Graduation cards the $.99 money holder ones? My S&S had two different ones, that was all I saw for $.99 Grad cards. TIA!
I just came here to post the same thing. Graduation cards worked, FD did not.
Father's day cards did not work for me at 7pm. The new Graduation and Thank You Teacher ones did work for the CAT around the same time.
The entire 99cent section of my local Stop and Shop was completely empty. I was in shock. I found 99cent cards around the other card sections, however. I am sure the store got rid of the cards for the duration of the CAT deal, as there wasn't even an extra envelope.
I hope all of the stores in my area don't follow suit and clear out the 99 cent cards.

Tax vs no tax
The only common denominator I noticed in any of my transactions that had no tax, was that I had a taxable grocery item (soda) and no regular non-taxable grocery item. In my experience this week this is the only thing all my no-tax orders had in common. So amyone else who had a transaction that had no sales tax check to see if your orders were like mine with a taxable grocery item (in my case soda) and no center aisle non taxable grocery items.

So it looks like the mystery is solved. If you want to eliminate the sales tax you need to have one taxable grocery item in your order and no non taxable grocery items. I tried 3 card with one .34¢ cow tail candy and got some produce and some nail polish remover for .06¢ oop. I know I'm not saving all that much by not paying sales tax but I'm just glad that I know what the trigger is.

Did a bunch of runs today. About half had no or little tax and half had full.
Went to SCO and scanned my 3 cards. NO CAT :O. Had them cancel transaction and went to another and worked fine.
I am not sure if this is "wrong" or not but I looked at some garlic and picked a piece off and bought that one clove for 4 cents. Kind of what you do with bananas. Nice little filler.

05-10-2011, 06:36 PM
But your produce would be nontaxable, no? I'm not following...
The key is the grocery department. From my trial and error I have figured out that if you have a non taxable grocery item (which is just about any food item not in the perimeter of the store) the cat will attach itself to that item and not take off the tax. But, if you have a taxable grocery item (I tried both soda and candy and both worked) and no non-taxable grocery item then the cat will attach to that and wipe out the sales tax. I have tried buying dairy and produce with a taxable grocery item (soda or candy) and the sales tax was deducted both times...as long as there is no regular non-taxable grocery item in the same transaction. Clear as mud??? sorry...I'm not very good at putting into words what's going through my mind.
In other words, if you buy one small piece of candy or bottle of soda you will not pay sales tax as long as you do not have any other non-perishable (not refrigerated or frozen) grocery item in the same transaction. This is a great opportunity to stock up on dairy of produce without having to pay the .18¢ sales tax on the cards.
HTH!!!

Where is cow-tail candy - by the registers or in the candy isle?
I had to get 1.25 Cadbury and 1.50 Dove candy bar could not find any other decent cheap candy.

The cowtail candy is .34¢ and it's in the regular candy aisle near all the 10/$10 candy. It's the cheapest candy I could find. I bought the SNS bagels for $1.50, .34¢ cowtail, 3 cards, and a .19¢ banana all for zero! No beeps, no intervention needed at SCO.:bounce::bounce:

Without the candy I would be charged sales tax which would add an extra .18¢ to the total. Having a taxable grocery item in the order turns the cat into a tax reducing cat. Anytime i've tried using the cat without a taxable grocery item in the order the cat does not reduce the sales tax on the cards.

Not all the time, guess it depends on Store, county or even State, my local SNS works exactly like u said and tried it many times to confirm but not the other one (mile away from me and a different county), was there this morning, got 3 cards + Voortman cookies and 1 gum and I got charged $0.27 in Tax

That's correct. From what I can tell, this cat looks for a non-taxable grocery item to attach to. If there is none, it then looks for a taxable grocery item to attach to (i.e. candy or soda). If there are neither, I think it become a grocery cat by default and will not reduce the tax. I hope this makes sense.

Stoneyfield Farm 1/2 Gallon Organic Milk is $2.89 at my store. I didn't see it in the ad for this price but maybe I missed it. Anyway, it's a great deal at $2.89, even better with the 50 IP (it will double to $1) you can print on the stoneyfield website.
When I bought one of these milks, a coupon for $1/1 spit out. I bought another one and a $1.50/2 coupon spit out of the Catalina machine. I bought two more and yet another $1.50/2 spit out.
Also bought Ovaltine and a 50 cent off 1 Q spit out from the Catalina machine. Regular price of the Ovaltine at my store is $4.19.

There seems to be no limit. For every 3 cards you scan, a $5 CAT will pop out. You can only use ONE CAT per transaction so most people will buy 3 or 6 cards per transaction to pay the least amount OOP.

I found $.75/1 raisinet coupons yesterday so I'm excited because they are 10 for $10! I found them at a gas station when I was "coupon shopping" last night! It's so funny though because I try and be nice about taking tp's but I can totally tell that someone isn't. I go in so often that I can tell when there was a full sheet of tp's and then the next day there is 1 left that someone obviously took almost all of them. How sad - but it's the same thing as with the cards.... people are just greedy i guess. Can't be happy with the deals we get and try to do them in a normal manner (or normalish), but they have to get them ALL.
I have no clue about the whole tax thing you guys have been talking about, so I am not bothering with it since I'll probably screw something up trying to get my $.18 or whatever removed.
I can't figure out why sometimes I get overage and sometimes I don't.... S&S just confuses me, but at least there is some sort of deal going on now. I miss how Shaws used to be. I never went to S&S when Shaws was hot! Now I never go to Shaws anymore!
Enjoy the last day of the card deal all. Last night one of my cards must have rang up as something different because the cat didn't pop out at 3 so I scanned 1 more and got it. No big deal really, I paid under $2 for all I got and I got 5 boxes of raisinets, 5 bottles of smartwater, a gallon of milk, S&S chocolate syrup, 7 cards, and a 3 pack of the milk boxes (they stay in the cabinet and don't need to be refrigerated until you drink them) - it's our emergency milk I like to have with the kids, .
Also, I saw someone ask, someone pm'd me about the simply juice coupons and told me that Walgreens has a diabetes and you book with a $.50 simply juice coupon in it. Now, let's be nice and only take 1 or 2 when we go - but just wanted to put it out there. I don't go often, but when I do I take 1-3 of them. Do you think it's mean to take the 1 coupon out of it and put the book back? I'm thinking of doing that and wasn't sure if it would be nicer to just not put it back??

Not sure how taxes work in RI but here in CT if you want the cat to magically take away your tax you need to have one taxable grocery item in your order AND have NO non-taxable grocery items in the same order. It's OK to have produce, dairy, frozen or HBC but not regular grocery (which includes just about any non-refrigerated or frozen food item you would find in any of the center aisles in the store). A taxable grocery item is candy or soda or gum. HTH!

Hi,
I shop at Giant and don't always check here but just wanted to let you know that I think I figured out a way to figure out if your card will work for the Hallmark cat. Look at the UPC, if it starts with a 70000 then it should work fine. The Fathers Day card that I looked at yesterday started with a different UPC, so won't work for the Cat.

I think most people just take the books for the coupons. I have heard comments that after taking x books, when they get home the coupon is missing and they are mad someone took them and left the book. I take them because there are other coupons in it also, example being Colgate which you can always use at Wags. In any case check to make sure the coupon is in it.;)

I believed this to be true. first store 3 orders got all 7000's was perfect.
2nd store decided to try the few fathers day cards that had 7000 start and had no luck. didnt print.
so it may be the correct reasoning for everything BUT the fathers day ones. My aunt said she got some fathers day ones a few days ago and it printed. i was not with her so i can verify it. So i thought I would give it a try using the 7000 cards.
my favorite deal this morning was 3 cards and a box of kool aid jammers (2.29)
Wish I had thought of this one sooner!!

Careful on the candles because some of the regular candles might be under the general merchandise dept (like the cards) so it won't take off the tax. I think because this is a passover candle it's classified in their system as taxable grocery and not GM.
Great find, by the way! I'll be on the lookout for those.

There were $1.00 off any ONE Lawry's 30 minute marinades hangtags today at my S&S. They were on all of the teriyaki flavored ones but were good for $1.00 off any flavor. Lawry's was 2/$4.00.
Is there any reason why customer service would refuse to double a coupon value on a missed coupon? I bought 4 Lipton teas for $1.00 each and forgot to scan my coupons at self check-out. The coupons were for $0.50 each so I should have gotten $4.00 back and she only gave me $2.00. I asked her about it and she said if it doesn't double upon scanning then she can't double it. I asked for the coupons back and told her I would return the teas and scan them myself so she grudgingly gave me the other $2.00.

I've been buying 2 packs of store brand plastic cups (4 for $5) with the cards and I have no tax.
Great idea! So that means PT, TP, plastic utensils, ziplock bags, etc. should all turn the cat into a tax-reducing cat (as long as there is no non-taxable grocery in the same order).
There were $1.00 off any ONE Lawry's 30 minute marinades hangtags today at my S&S. They were on all of the teriyaki flavored ones but were good for $1.00 off any flavor. Lawry's was 2/$4.00.

I think people have said they need to scan your S&S card and then your qs at CS to get them to double - if they don't scan your card, they won't double.
At my S&S, one time when they didn't double (because I forgot to give them my card) manager dude just told CS clerk to ring each q twice, so I ended up with the full amount back.
Hope that helps :)
Will miss this cat deal for sure - only went to S&S once last Thursday, and once today (plus my failed stop in Bedford ) but managed to end up with 36 cards and have a bunch of cats left to spend over the next couple weeks on groceries - can't complain :)

Careful on the candles because some of the regular candles might be under the general merchandise dept (like the cards) so it won't take off the tax. I think because this is a passover candle it's classified in their system as taxable grocery and not GM.
Great find, by the way! I'll be on the lookout for those.
Isn't that 6 cards for 1.30 OOP (using 1 $5 cat)?

Thanks.

The Scotties tissues are a different company than Scott even though their names are similar. Scott cat is TP, PT, wipes - not Scotties :)

in future savings when you buy any three select SCOTT® Products
Buy Two (2) different Scott Products, Get $2.00 OYNO
Buy Three (3) different Scott Products get $3.00 OYNO
Ends 5/15
I bought 1 single role of Scott TP $1.00
and 1 Scott naturals wirpes $1.15 and got back the $2 cat!
The cat needs cashier intervention though:mad: makes it difficult to roll! I'm going to add these to any card deals I do today and save the cats for next week. So sad to see it end!
Just for kicks I tried two "like" Scott items (single rolls of TP for $1 each) and did not get the CAT - I was hoping maybe it work work and since the hallmark cards paid for the experiment I figured it was worth a try. One single roll of scott TP ($1) and a single roll of scott paper towels ($1.99) did produce the $2 CAT.

OMG ! went to a different S&S today - could not believe the card choices !!!!! why have I been sticking to my store all week !!!!
on a side note: got 9 cards expecting 3 CATS to print - i see them all print - yeah ! but cashier only gives me TWO - I'm like I coulda sworn three of those printed out, she's like I gave them all to you - go to customer service - (which happens to be right across from her register), so i go to get in line, but as I leave I kinda swoop behind her register, bend down and look near her feet, she starts to get "mad" at me and then she goes, here it is ! and hands it to me !!!!!!!!!!
Ya, the ole 'let the CAT drop to the feet' trick. Good for you for finding it!
I too went to a different S&S today - - could not believe it - - no 99 cent cards in the 99 cent card section. I did find some in the graduation section.
So, I loaded my cart with a enough for a few tranis, got some groceries and headed for the SCO. I was told by the SCO gal that there was a card limit of 3. Yes, she said 3. So, I chatted it up with her and asked for the back story. She said a couple of gals came in the other day and bought every last cards. 3 or 6 at a time.... till they were all gone.
So, I asked her why she didn't limit those gals. She looked at me like I was a terriorist and told me she wanted to call for a jihad against all couponers. Yup, that's what she said.
So, I said 'What do coupons have to do with it? Were they using coupons to buy the cards?' (knowing full well they were just using the CAT and no other coupons). She then told me the store didn't want anyone buying 99 cent cards. So I asked her why they had 99 cent cards on the shelf if they didn't want anyone to buy them.
I'm not normally confrontational but I thought her jihad comment was out of line and a bit extreme to put couponers in the same category as the Palestinine Islamic Jihad. I mean we are talking about cards, right?
I'm not happy that those gals cleared the shelf.... and it's lead to the store employees hating couponers. Maybe if they just did 10 tranis a day it would have gone unnoticed... I just don't know.
I'm glad that isn't my regular store.
In today's Newsday there is a coupon, 200 bonus gas points with your $50 purchase, expires 5/15.

Hit the motherload as far as gas points starting tomorrow stock up on your cards today
hershey's cadbury bars 4/5$
hershey's theatre style 5/5$
Hershey's King size 5/5$
buy any 5 get 100 gas points..
here is your scenario for today. buy 12 cards in a single transaction use 1 coupon pay 1.30 for the 12 cards and 1 (5$) cat... do this as many times as you want.. buy a ton of candy bars tomorrow (do it 10 times get 1000, 60cards, 50bars of candy for around 13$ OOP
Why am I so confused by this? Are the hershey's gas points for this week ending tonight? The cards end tonight - so I don't get it. So, is it just get the $5 cat to use for the candy to get the gas points? I don't even have 10 cats.... I don't want to waste them on getting all candy just to get gas points - just my opinion though - unless I'm missing something else here. ok - time to head out for the last time even though I don't want to. I'm happy about free raisinets, free smartwater, free lipton iced tea, a few more cards and a cat or 2!!

That is ridiculous. If the store didn't want $.99 cards included, it should have been excluded from the deal. If they didn't want people earning multiple cats, the deal should have had a limit. Since none of those things occurred, there should be no attitude on the part of store employees.

We started to get gas points last week, but so far (knock-knock) we continue to enjoy instant savings instead of bonus gas points. For example for the below deal we have $3 instant savings, which is better than 100 gas points because 3/0.10 = 30 gallons of gas.
On the other hand, with the partial gas points and limit 1 cat per transaction - like Kudos bars last week - can come out ahead of instant savings.

If you scan the coupon before your card, it should go through with no problems if it isn't a 992/01/00 mq.
Crossposting from the Giant thread. Huggies $7 oyno cat is working on PSP/ before coupons.
refill pack 6.99 x 4= 27.96
minus .50 (doubled to $1 off each) mq from 4/17/11 SS
minus $4 for sale price ($1 off per refill pack)
total 19.96
used $5 Hallmark cat so oop of 14.96, earned $7 cat
rolled the $7 cat into the Bounty 15 pack that is on sale for 11.99 (plus $1 mq from 5/1 P&G). The $7 Huggies cat is coded as a store coupon and DID NOT need cashier intervention at SCO.

Hehe - no worries!!! I should have made the other comment on another line (cause I wonder if these meanie S&Gers are actually on SD lurking or something)... I didn't mean to relate it to your comment. I was very impressed with your haul indeed! :bounce: I probably could have done at least 50 if I didn't have to take my 2 kiddos with me as there were also plenty of cards left near me that just went unsold and when I went to the other store they didn't have a 99 cent section so that's where I totally messed up my last transaction with the father's day card and didn't get any catalina.

I did sort my cards today, but didn't count them. There are A LOT. I think I am set for birthdays for the next 10 years:) I didn't clear out any stores either. My poor sister went last weekend and then lost her wallet with everything including some $5 cats. She said she was going to go back with the kids, but everything they went in the store they'd start saying, "More cards...why do we need more cards...how much are these cards anyway." I don't think they were using their indoor voices so she gave up!
...Oh, and when I ran out to get buy some diet pepsi and hamburger rolls, I grabbed one of my stop and shop bags and it was heavy...more cards to sort:vomit:

Your math is wrong.
Assuming she repeated the 6 cards ata time deal using 1 $5 coupon.
It would be 40 x 1.31 = $52.40 for $200 worth of credit or about a 75% discount on the next $200 (bought in 40 transactions). This is not adjusting for the first go around, but that is a small mm.
So assuming no other spent coupons 40 x 6 = 240 + 3 cards = 243 cards.

Wow! You were all busy! I only got in 1 trip with 6 cards :(. Life kind of took over, I was preparing for a big camping trip with my Girl Scout troop! Oh well, I would have never been able to use all those $5 cats before they expired anyway!
Didn't see it mentioned....but Powerade is $.69 each when you buy 10.
If you still have the BOGO IPs on Powerade Zero from a couple weeks ago this is a great deal. They ring in at $1 each and then the instant savings comes off at the end, so the BOGO coupon takes off $1 each.
So $10 for 10 minus the $3.10 instant savings, minus $5 coupons = $1.90 for 10 powerade zero. Good in my book as hubby takes 2 to work every day! Wish I had more Qs!
A couple other things I grabbed yesterday:
*If you snagged the $1.75/1 IP Quantum Finish Powerball, mine were about to expire. These are on sale for $3.50, so not a bad deal.
*Lysol wipes are 2/$4 so if you haven't used the $1.50/1 IP that was out (again mine was about to expire) these would only be $.50 each.
*Dr. Pepper had $.25 peelies on them that doubled making them $.84 each
*Hatfield Hamsteaks on sale for $2.19/each, used the $2/2 IP from awhile ago.
*Scotties tissues are $1 again....I still had $.50/1 IPs to use so Free.
*Vlassic Relish on sale for $1.19 and pickles $2.00. Use $.55/1 IP here (http://coupons2.smartsource.com/smartsource/index.jsp?Link=I4LSMQY3RTTJ2) doubled. This reset for me because I printed these last month, so you may be able to print again.
Ok....I'm done cleaning out my coupons now  Hope it helps another slacker with coupons about to expire!

You need to prioritize. Most stores open at 6 am and close at 11 pm or midnight. A handful are still 24 hours. If you pop a couple of those 12 hour sudafeds, you should be able to get quite a few more coupons and skip luxury activiites such as sleep.

Has anyone tried gassing multiple vehicles simultaneously on the same card? I am 99% that everyone gets the discount because the computer hasn't caught up with it. Of course, if that happens, it is possible you end up with a deficit of gas points on your account for subsequent orders. Anyone have experience with this?

So strange how my thinking has changed so much since becoming a couponer!

Ok, will be near a S&S for the first time in ages. Never couponed there at all, read the coupon policy and have a couple questions to hopefully lessen my time spent chatting with management or at CS:
How well do BOGO Qs and $/x stack? Would like to stack $1/2 Fuze and BOGO gold peak with B4 fuze/gold peak get 1 Dasani.
BOGO gold peak is 14, B4G1 is 01
I can easily just settle for the bogo gold peak and $1/2 fuze but figured I'd try for the free water if I can get it.
Also with doubling, does it double up to the sale price automatically? Or will it double to over that price like some stores will? Have some Smart Water .75/1, I know they were on sale for $1 but not sure if that ended. I know I can double 4 like coupons per transaction.
Want to be prepared before I head there so DH doesn't kill me.

I don't think stacking will work easily at S&S. Well, definitely not with the 14 code. I have not been able to get them to push it through properly either. I think they might be able to push it through if you have other items in the same department without coupons attached but I don't have that figured out since I can't get the regular stacking to work.
Usually the doubling will double to the sale price automatically, however, if you have more of the same product, it will give the overage up to the regular price so you don't have to use as many coupons. For example, if the regular price of smart water is $1.50 and it's on sale for $1, and you buy 6 total and use 4 coupons - you will get the full $6 off and all 6 bottles will be free using 4 coupons. (at least it worked for me this way the last time I tried it over the past few weeks).

I honestly can not figure out S&S with doubling coupons over the sale price for overage. Sometimes it does no problem, and other times it will stop taking my coupons when I have hit the sale price of the items.... smart water - last week when i bought them with other things - sometimes they all doubled to $1.50 and other times only 2 or so would double - 1 didn't double, and then it wouldn't take the others. i don't know. I know it has something to do with getting other stuff. If you only got the smartwater, then it would only take off for the sale price of what you got total... the coupon might double (the first 1 or 2) but then it wouldn't take the other (pretty much what pinkybubbles said). Not sure if I even made sense here.

Their coupon policy sounds tough but in reality everyone I know can double any amount of coupons. I find it best to stay away from sco when using coupons such as you have. Pink bubbles explained it well. They will double up to regular price for overage and nofunname is also right, that is how it seems to work at sco. If the b4 coupons don't work, you could bring them to csr after and explain you didn't know how to use them to get water free. My store is good about these things. In any event have a good time and to bad you couldn't have come for our card sale. LOL!!!

At S&S, the store coupons are not entirely predictable and the way they work varies from store to store, believe it or not. Sometimes the store Q will reduce the taxable amount (and, hence, the tax). Sometimes it will not reduce the basis for calculating tax. Technically, I think in most states, coupons are not supposed to reduce the basis for calculating sales tax, so someone erred encoding how the coupon worked. (again, this WILL vary between stores - even those in the same town).
Another interesting thig I've found is that sometimes the store Q will wipe out bottle deposits, other times, it will not. Also varies by store. Some stores seem to have their register system programmed differently than most of the other stores.

Then I went this week and bought 20, thinking I'd get the $2.50. I will tell you the 'buy 20 get 2.50 oyno' tag was taken down but they had the sales tags up every single yoplait spot. No Cat for me.
I am sorry I mislead you....

I'm pretty sure that the shelf tags in my area said that the Yoplait cat ended on 5/12.

It's never to early to start thinking about Halloween! Great idea!! I only have some $1/2 Orbit gum, probably not as slick :(
Just an FYI for anyone that may have the orbit bogo tp coupons found at gas stations..... I used a few today and the $1.29 comes off instantly at SCO with no intervention!! I LOVE those!!! I spent $.36 on 8 packs of gum.... wonder if I can give out packs of gum for Halloween- is it too early to start thinking about that?? So strange how my thinking has changed so much since becoming a couponer!

I want to thank everyone who replied. It was very helpful. Got my fuze and gold peak and smart water. Decided to save the B4Gq for later as DH was in the car with the puppy (who had just got her rabies shot) and didn't want to torture him.
Grabbed some dog treats and Hellmann's mayo (perfect timing for the four .75/1 Qs I ordered).
Donated $1 for the ticket for DH. Got a free Hallmark card. DH didn't get why I was giggling. Anyone want a free Hallmark card? ;)

Good morning! Does anyone here know the name or have a link to the website that lists how long stockpiled foods are really good for? (as opposed to expiration dates marked on the packages?) I remember seeing it posted a few times over the last 2 years or so, but can't find it now. I just spent about 1/2 hour doing various searches for it...have TONS of expired food and want to double check it before I toss it...TYIA

While at S&S today getting the $1 Lunchables with fruit I noticed that the Oscar Mayer Subs are on sale for $2 and part of the $3 instant savings wyb 3. There was a $1/1 MQ in Sunday's insert which makes them free wyb 3

Mine is an instant off not a cat. I tried buying the smaller lunchables today on sale 3/$5 and did NOT get the $3 off instantly even though there was a tag under a few of them. I went to CS and they gave me my $3 but heads up dont buy the lil ones.
