Is this working off shelf price?
According to LRWC it is.

So far, Shoprite has never done that.
it's probably going to be like previous deals, where you can only do one per transaction but still roll it over.
Well, actually they did once about 18 months ago. There was a limit of one per card, but I haven't seen it happen since then. Let's keep our fingers crossed!

So, has the weight watchers cat worked for anyone? what have you bought if it has? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

A friend of mine will be trying it this morning, however she will be most likely buying $20 on sale price. At least from that we will now if a Cat is even working, as before even those buying more than $20 were getting nothing as well.

My friend just told me she did the WW and did get the CAT. So at least we know that they fixed it at least for sale price. I am GUESSING it works on shelf price of items with PP club, but won't be able to try it until later.

Thank you so much for the update. As I reported Monday, I purchased 10 WW SmartOnes desserts on Monday and did not receive the CAT. I was thinking about going to Customer Service, showing them my receipt and asking if I purchase 3 more WW desserts (I have a $1/3 coupon) then would CS issue me the $5 CAT, but I'm a bit nervous. Has anyone had any luck doing something like that before? I realize it's YMMV, but I'd rather they not tell me to pound sand.
I enjoy the desserts, but last night DH tried one and while he "sort of" liked it, he said it was a bit icy/freezer-burned -- as though it had defrosted slightly then been refrozen. A bit disappointing, for sure, but I still hesitate to attempt return my 9 other boxes. I hate to waste food but I also don't want to buy another 3 boxes and have them taste icy/freezer-burned, too.

I would try one more box, keep the box, and call smart ones and see what they say. I don't know if what you have is a store problem or another problem. I would go to CS and ask about buying 3 more. I did what you did and and also did not get the CAT. Will be trying shelf price later today if all goes well. All CS could say is no, but I have never been rejected, but of course it depends on yoru store. Mine is a farily hard a@@ store about coupons, but I have been able to buy more etc in the past.

Weight Watchers deal now working on shelf price. Did two transactions, one on Frozen, one on non frozen. Non frozen came to 17.xx before any coupons, and I got the $5 cat after all coupons

Purchased 10 Smart ones frozen desserts at $1.77 sale, $2.44 shelf price (9 would have worked but had $4 coupon for 10)

Second transaction is below

Total $17.70
minus $3 SR ecoupon
minus $5 from first transaction
Minus $4 off 10.

Paid $5.70 and got back $5 CAT

WIll be seeing what more to print and most likely do it again.

As I side note, I did go to CS with Mondays receipts and did get the $5 OYNO after explaining and with proof, since one of todays transaction was exactly the same as Monday's. I had no issues for a change! New experience for me.

The Buy 10, get $10 CAT OYNO says "Limit 1 offer per customer, per transaction during promotional period", so I wonder if its going to track to the PP card and only allow us to do it once during the whole week on the same PP card?

Anyone know where I Can get these coupons other than eBay?

Found Ritz crackerfuls half price today, there was a q on facebook, now it's out.

I think this was a clearance due to new packaging. my daughter loves these things. They where on an endcap in front of store near the chip aisle

They came to $1.49 a box.

I am practically in Shock.

Went to my super duper coupon UNFRIENDLY store and used 2 of the Fisher Boy deal of the day coupons. Today they were for free produce, up to $2.50 with any Fisher Boy purchase. I got two Fisher Boy Fish sticks ( will go to donation probably) a bag of Dole Caesar Salad Kit and a container of Strawberries.

I was not hassled and paid $2.50 for all ( price of two bags of fish sticks). I am shocked and happy!! The produce alone was $4.50, and the Dole was on sale for $2.00, so saved me $2.00 on items I would buy anyway and rest goes to donation.

Now if the Fisher Boy goes on sale for $.99 I will be even happier.

There is also a coupon on FB site, but its for the bigger sizes.

Also Tyson Anytizer bags are $4.24 and there is a $1/1 coupons so a pretty decent deal for the $10 Sports Store GC rebate. Also on the Kellogg's site there is a .70/1 Poptarts coupons. The 12 ct. boxes are 2.99 so 1.99 AC and the small boxes are 2/$5 so $1.50 AC (even better if your store fully doubles :D)

Are you saying the $3 Got2b coupon was NOT in your RP, or you didn't get a RP?
There are so many varieties of RP! Many times, when there is a real hot coupon, its not in my RP, although we get all the coupon inserts. That particular coupon will be in the Star Ledger but not in the Record. Luckily,(?or not) those special coupons don't happen that often. We DID get the Got2b, here.
Only difference in SS inserts, that I have found, is that in the 'free' paper, its smaller and shows "TMC" on the spine, after the names of papers its found in. And even then, although its much smaller and doesn't usually have any high value coupons, the "TMC" variety will have Schick coupons!
The Got2b was on clipper sites, although sold out at one site, by late Saturday morning.

Now. The question of the day is if we can do more than one "Buy 10 items get $10Cat" deals on the same card.
Hopefully, we'll get a report. Till then I'll do my one and go home. Its still a great deal!

Does anyone know what this exactly means about shipments of supplies
"item is currently on hold".
DH only uses the playful G2B pomade. They had 2 left on Friday before the sale. I knew there was a slim chance any would be left today. There was one where someone took the cardboard sleeve off and there was no barcode. So I went to CS and the product department manager was able to look the upc and I paid for the item there. Now she looked up her next shipment (2 a week) and told me the g2b is on hold and she has no idea when it will ship. She was very upset about this as I was. I got a RC anyway but this is the 3rd time an item was FAC that is "on hold" for further shipments. It's the only product DH uses. It's freaking $6 elsewhere. I would have bought them even without the dang $3 coupon.

Where are theSobe waters and Lipton ice teas located in the store?

My store (Hatfield, PA) had them spread out. The Sobe's were where the powerade/gatorade were located. (but no ice tea in that area) When I left the store there were only about 4 Sobe's of either fancy type or regular left in that section.. Then on aisle 16 or over toward the refrigerated section they had a shelf of the Lipton teas .. those shelves were emptied out when I got there, and above that a shelf for more Sobe. There were about 12 bottles left of the Sobe there. I really wanted some of the Lipton teas and got lucky in the front of the store and found a bunch in the fridges by the checkout. Was able to put together 10 for a deal from those.
Also check for the Lipton at the food court area... I saw some there.

I asked the stock person if they had more Lipton in the back and he checked with the manager and said they only had what was on that shelf (which was none). Hard to believe with a big special like this.

The only problem I had was that when I used the $10 CAT the cashier couldn't scan it... she said she would call a manager. I didn't want to go through the hassle (I'll use it next time). But I wondered what the problem was... she said she thought it was because of the high value of the coupon, that a manager had to approve it for her. Did anyone else have this problem?

This is programmed by each individual store. At my local store even a $5 CAT has to have FEM manager with keycard approval. At another SR store owned by different people, same exact SR CATS do NOT need any intervention ever.

Gosh I have missed going to SR. Things have been a bit rough at home and SR too muchle out of the way but I can't pass up free drinks and I've got to use this $10/$50 thanks to Baby Bucks but I can't find the receipt/coupon :( Is there a way to print it out or look it up at the store. Oh and ...those family points are a joke...I just realized the last cycle I got whopping 62 points but the lowest reward needs 100 pts :lmao: I'll pay more attention this cycle. I wish there was a way to at least share those points or something.

Lastly...I wish we could use the G2B but DH doesn't use that stuff (needs more hair :P), I wear a head scarf, and my boys did enough damage w/ vaseline that I don't trust them with anything else than water :lmao:.

Thank you all for the time you spend on sharing these great deals!

If you just tell them at checkout that you earned your babybucks 10/50 they will type in a code and it will come off of your order automatically, no coupon needed. At the bottom of your receipt you will see that your baby bucks total has been adjusted to reflect using the 10/50 (wyb 100 of baby). hth.

Lastly...I wish we could use the G2B but DH doesn't use that stuff (needs more hair :P), I wear a head scarf, and my boys did enough damage w/ vaseline that I don't trust them with anything else than water :lmao:.

Are the poos included? My DD loves the dry shampoo, even though cornstarch and baby powder work just as well, but they don't smell as nice or come in a super cool dispenser

It seems that all of my higher value coupons require a manager approval at that store. First they study my coupons and items and then a bunch never scan. I hope they settle down soon. It gets so frustrating...

I checked out SR online but can't find this.

Oh and ...those family points are a joke...I just realized the last cycle I got whopping 62 points but the lowest reward needs 100 pts :lmao: I'll pay more attention this cycle. I wish there was a way to at least share those points or something.

Thank you all for the time you spend on sharing these great deals!
Our family is very grateful for all the savings and I love how friendly you are all.

My store does the same thing with the coupons....examining them like they've never see n them before. In the past, cats have beeped for me if I try to use them the same day they are issued. Now, do they beep because of that or because they need manager approval...don't know. I do know that most of the time that I try to use a cat that I just earned, my cashiers pick it up and refuse to take it. "your not allowed to use it the same day you get it". I don't even try to use them the first day anymore. May try at a distant SR but I have enough problems with the cashiers at my store! lol

Someone brand new posted on AFC with a link to google docs for next weeks ad. However it has to be downloaded and it says too big to check for virus. This is a link from someones first post there, so I am not downloading it because I have no way of knowing if its legit, or its a virus, etc.

Anyone know of anyway to tell?

Smart Balance deal idea No. 2

buy 4 Milk *2.99 - 4*1.50/1 SS 1/8 (#1) - note expires 2/22 Pay 5.96 Get $3 oyno = 0.74ea
Or use 0.75/1 ip from smartbalance.com (NLA) if you printed them for previous sale and still have some left , but beware - those are coded as 0.75/2,so the last 2 of them would beep.

We were blessed with 1.50/1 SmartBalance milk in our SS 1/8 and I have some extra, would like to trade for 0.75/1 peanut butter (we got 1.00/1).

For the Knorr - the list from the ad says pasta sides, are the rice ones also included in the cat/sale price? I'm hoping the answer is yes, since I just ordered 60 q's!
sobe is that easy, buy 10 for $10, get $10 oyno cat back? my kids go through vitamin waters like crazy and I'm all out, be great if they ran a deal on those sometime soon. for now, they can settle for free sobe.

It is that simple as long as your store has 10 in stock. My store is usually very good about stocking the items that are on sale and this week I had to hunt for 4 to buy with my quaker oats!

I was just looking at all my Pompeian from last year. I only did the deal once but I don't think I've finished a single bottle. I have used some though. I think I'll pass this year. I think it was a MM last year though with coupons.

I thought Arizona Iced Tea was going to be part of the deal, my store has huge displays of it in the front and in the back of the store. Maybe next week. DD is two weeks, right?

There are a bunch of SavingStar rebates and Cellfire coupons that match the sales, so make sure you add those to your card. The ones I see are:

SC Johnson
Pledge $1.25/2 (SS)
Scrubbing Bubbles $1/2 (SS)

Kimberly Clark
U by Kotex $1/1 (SS)
Cottonelle $.50/2 4pk or larger

General Mills

Fun da-middles $.50/1 (CF)
Nature Valley $.75/2 (CF)
GoGurt $.75/2 (CF)
Totinos Party Pizza $1/5 (CF)

I think I'm going to do a General Mills and maybe Kimberly Clark. We need TP again anyway.

Good luck with the sobe, not one sobe or tea on the shelf in avon, ct. husband drove 30 minutes out of his way to get there. Shame on shoprite for not stocking enough or limiting the numbers shelf clearers could take.

The Lipton/Sobe deal really shows how individual SRs react. I have done the deal at four different shoprites. Yes, multiple times but never cleaned them out except for first example below.

SR1 - They had normal shelf space mostly empty, took 20 (2X10). No problem with cashier. Went back a day later - did not restock.

SR2 - they had stacks of it and Grocery guy said they tons in the back, did about 10 trips over 3 days. No problem with cashier doing two at a time.

SR3- They had a separate display set up and were constantly restocking it. Above it was sign from Manager telling everybody "its like getting for free". Did two transactions per day, split order - no problem withcashier.

SR4 - Shelf space only, no display, no sign, and have not restocked. Did two transactions on first day.

I will continue my quest (I do like the diet varieties, wife likes the black tea unsweetened).

Also noticed the Sales Tax was weird, each store charged differently but most charged. One time I had a zero dollar purchase and that required FEM intervention (BAD) so I make sure that does not happen again.

you see, it is much simpler here.

store 1 had 8 Sobe on shelf and about 20 regular tea in the refrig up front. i did the deal twice.

store 2 had no Sobe on shelf or anywhere else. had about 15 of diet tea on another shelf. nothing else anywhere in the store.

neither store restocked since. only 1 flavor of tea in each store.

both stores are really large and have plenty of store space.

i don't have to worry about going from store to store. no stock anywhere.

nice, isn't it? :(

Today I was in the Brick NJ store trying to do the Lipton deal. There were other people all filling their carts with it. I had 40 bottles.

I make it up to the register, and they shot me down. They told me only one offer...thats it. Was wondering how the other people made out...

Today in SR, the cashier told me for the same manufacturer coupon they allow 4 per day, is that a new SR policy? She was very rude.

Also noticed the Sales Tax was weird, each store charged differently but most charged. Did you get different varieties at the stores? I'm not sure what state you're in, but in NJ, certain varieties are taxable, while others are not. For instance, unsweetened tea is not taxable, but sweetened tea is considered a "soft drink" and taxable. Fruit drinks are taxable (or not) depending on the percentage of fruit juice. [The taxes can sometimes be confusing. One example is candy bars - which are taxable unless they contain flour (such as Twix and Nestle Crunch).]

She was very rude. The coupon policy is at the discretion of the particular owner, so it varies from store to store. Some limit to 4 like coupons. Others allow more, but only double the first 4 like coupons. It's also possible that the cashier may have been mistaken about the policy. The best thing to do is to ask for the coupon policy for that store at the customer service desk.

Don't think three will work because there is no price plus card in ad by product. If its a sale price without card three wont work.

My store only had the regular shelf space and only 1 little tiny tag. On previous good deals they've had huge bins of the sale items with signage. The 1st time I walked by there were 2 weird Sobe flavors on the shelf. I only wanted 4, for this transaction to go with my 6 Quakers for the SS Quaker deal. I circled the whole store looking for a special display. Then went back and there was a cart in front of it that someone was restocking with 5 bottles. I made sure it wasn't a person's cart and then took 4 bottles. I got lucky. I want to go back to do the deal once more. My mom likes it and she's coming next month to watch my kids for 10 days while my husband and I go on our first vacation since having kids. Hopefully they'll restock.

HEADS UP!

Got a catalina coupon today alerting me to the new "Reusable Grocery Bag" OYNO event coming the week of 2/26. It will run either one or two weeks.

Said over $55 in various OYNO offers but the free green grocery bag coupon with each offer completed.

What will be on the deal is still TBD, but start hunting for the new circular early next week as the week of 2/26 should be a great sales week!

Hi everyone, I am new here but I am trying to coupon beyond a beginner's level. ;) I also received a catalina coupon at Shoprite today stating you receive "Free Shoprite shopping bags up to .99 with each Dollar Days Reward offer you redeem." You have to shop from February 19th - February 25th and says to look for Dollar Days Rewards certificates.

Does anyone know what Shoprite Dollar Days are?

Hope everyone is having a wonderful V-day!!!!!!!!

2 stores near me restocked Lipton & Sobe so I was good to go!

Hi everyone, welcome!

Glad you took my suggestion and joined up here!

The second post on the first page of every thread has a Wiki, it is an area any member can add info to, a lot of the deals get thrown in there and it is a good habit to read the post a page back to get caught up on the talk.

If you look in the wiki you'll see what deals are coming up for next week. The "Dollar Days" are the buy X products get $Y back. Like the buy 12 General Mills get $10 back. So if you buy 12 of the General Mills items listed you get a catalina for $10 to use the following week. For each of those deals you also get a catalina that prints out that you can redeem for a reusable bag. All of the possible deals aren't listed in the wiki because there are ton of different ways you can do each deal. You'll see people have already started posting their ideas. It all depends on the coupons you have available to you. This is kind of a complicated week to try to move to advanced couponing, but the options will probably make more sense once you actually see the ad. It should be online on Saturday I think or there are adscans out there already (but we can't link to them here).

Ok, that makes sense since these threads are so long. I will look over that wiki.

Also, were you able to buy the Soba coupons for the dollar amount off not the B1G1 coupons online anywhere? Or did you just flat out buy the water for the catalina? I've been debating about the deal because I'd rather do it with the coupons but I can't find them for a good price. I already have the Got2Be coupons coming.

My flyer shows the price plus card next to it. For instance the oil is $2.99 and it says save $. 70
The peanut butter is $2.99 and says save $ .50
Cooking spray is $2.49 and says save .50
And the mayo is $2.99 and says save $ .30. They all have the card next to them. It's weird how flyers are different! So good with the $ .75 off coupons!

I just got home from SR and did a back to back roll without a problem - Purchased 10 drinks and got the cat - used it on the next transaction which included 6 oatmeal and 4 drinks and again got the cat.

My SR requires a key for any coupon $5 and over so not sure how that would affect it. I had a $5 Purina, $5 Weight Watchers and a $10/10 and all three were keyed in no questions asked.

They also still had a pretty good supply left.

NO WAY! first, you don't need to display your catalina to let them know how you are going to pay until you need to pay, second, catalinas come from many different sources, not just from this deal. and third, they can't refuse to give you the catalina you earned. it does not belong to them and it is not for them to withold what you earned!

I called my store to find out why they are limiting the Sobe transactions. Supposedly they received an email from Pepsi telling them to enforce the limit of one offer per card. There are signs near the Lipton and Sobe displays saying one offer per card. And the FEM is trolling the registers looking for people buying 10 Sobe to take the CATs if they print and pay with a $10 CAT. I spent the last few days under the radar but apparently others haven't been. While it's noble to say they can't take a CAT that prints as it belongs to you, the fun isn't there for me if you have to have an argument about a deal, I'll move on.

*** One of the women working there did say that corporate "fixed" the problem and if the customer already did the deal it wouldn't print. ( i think she made that up)

In two of the SR I've been "haunting' this week the fancy Sobe is separate from the others next to the drink mixers, the regular Sobe is in the water aisle.. Also I've found the plastic Lipton on the sides of Frito-Lay displays or in the coolers.

I feel really bad for ya'll who can't find enough bottles to do the deal

Pepperidge Farm Milano cookies $1.77 - $1/1 PF cookie peelies found at various stores.
At 77c, I'll be stocking up.

just preparing for a run tomorrow and noticed the .50 milano cookies digital coupon exp 3/12 when you buy any one, any variety, limit 1, is not listed in the wiki.

i used the digital q for the 3 in 1 oil a few wks ago and it comes off immediately and i stacked it w/ the ip.

you can load the digital q's onto your price plus card from the shoprite website. it's in the grey menu bar under the first listing *messages and savings*. your price plus card needs to be registered of course.

Sorry to hear that some of your stores aren't stocked up enough. I ran into the man delivering the pepsi products and he said they are just gunna keep restocking! It's great! They came yesterday, today, and are gunna be back tomorrow! Im in ct. Yesterday I had my last sobe from a previous deal. It was 4 months expired and tasted fine ;) lol. Good thing cause these don't have a very long shelf life!

I'm loving this deal, so is my DH, he hardly ever goes to the grocery store, but he's gone the last 2 days. He went last night and did 3 orders back to back, then tonight he went and did 12 orders! The store had pallets of sobe and tea, and there were a few other shoppers in there doing it too. This store used to be super strict about deals and coupons, it's now a world class shoprite and it's so big and busy you could probably stay there a few hours and go un noticed. I'm taking my sister tomorrow, hopefully the stores will not have limits.

There is hardly any stock of the sweetened iced tea so I have only done the deal twice this week. I combined the AJ syrup with Sobe and tea. DH is the only one who will drink the iced tea so that's it for me. My daughter works at SR so I don't even attempt back to back transactions anymore. Don't need the stinkeye from the FEM either:lol:.

ShopRite 10 for $10 Catalina Update

A lot of you have been reporting signs going up at your ShopRite regarding changes to the Buy 10 Get $10 Catalina deal at ShopRite this week. I just wanted to confirm that, starting today, 2/16, there will, in fact, be a limit of 1 transaction per Price Plus card holder for the rest of the promotion.

Here is the information that I received directly from Wakefern last night, which is effective this morning:

Customers who purchase 10 of the qualifying items in any transaction AFTER they earn and receive their initial $10 coupon, will receive a Catalina print that will explain the limit and remind them that they already qualified for and received the offer. The ShopRite Customer Care Center will be able to work with Catalina to confirm when the customer received and/or redeemed their offer, so please encourage your readers to contact us at 1-800-ShopRite if they have any questions.

As always, all of us at ShopRite are committed to helping our customers save on their grocery bill week after week. We appreciate your support and hope that all of our customers have the opportunity to earn and redeem this valuable offer.

Anyone know if Upromise and Savingstar coupon site are affiliated? I was just on both sites and they both have just about the same coupons. At first I thought with Savingstar you can print, but I guess they load on to your card as well. Will two of the same coupon from two different sites load on to one card? Is there a way to tell? I am just eyeballing a few deals for next week. Thanks

sorry, one more question...did the cat still print after the 10th item was scanned or did it print after you paid? If it prints after the 10th item, then I don't see how they could limit it. If it prints after the transaction is paid, then they can catch the rolling and the cat won't print. Thanks!!!

The cat did not print until the cashier scanned my PPC, but it printed fine with no warnings, limits, bells, sirens or cat police.
Perhaps the limits is up to the discretion of the owner.

On Sunday I did the deal without using my card at all. Price came up $1.00 without card. Scanned the 10 drinks, the coupon popped out after the 10th one scanned, and then I paid with cash. Perhaps they changed the system after the big rush on sobe/lipton as the week progressed.

I went in last night and did 3 back to back orders of sobe / lipton, cat printed after the 10th one was scanned every time, I did not have my ppc, so they did a 'courtesy scan'. I unloaded everything into my car, and decided it would be a waste of a great parking spot & store piled high with sobe / lipton to not go right back in again. Went back in, had 4 orders in the cart, cashier called for someone to do a courtesy scan for me since I had no ppc, ass manager lady comes up, sees my 4 orders, and says 'you know there's a limit of 1 offer per person, somebody came in earlier and tried to buy 500 so they're limiting it now', she follows that up with 'he doesn't need a courtesy scan for this, it rings up $1 each without the ppc anyway'. I asked her well what do you want to do, put 40 glass bottles of tea away, or let me just buy them and be on my way? she said oh ok, you didn't know, and tells the cashier to just ring me up for all of them. anyway, you don't need a ppc for the sale price or cat, so if the ppc scan is how they're limiting the deal, just refuse to show it. I'll hit it again tonight, but I'll just go in for 10, back to the car, back in the store for 10 more, and repeat until they tell me to cut it the heck out and go home. Saturday I'll hit it with all 4 of my kids with me, and insist each of us be allowed to get the offer once per customer.

says who? if the price is $1 ea., what's the ppc do for you, other than give the system some way of knowing whether you've done the deal before or not? I don't put any stock in the made up nonsensical ravings of sr employees that try to make up b.s. to deter people from taking advantage of good deals. now, if somebody reports they tried it today w/o using their ppc and the prices didn't ring up at $1 ea. or the cat didn't print, then I guess sr could have tinkered with their system, but if it's just that some ass manager or whatever claims 'you have to use your ppc', i'm not buying that.

If you're referring to the post 'tried to roll at 12:12 pm', idk if that person used their ppc or not, so it tells me nothing. My theory is that sr is putting it in their system that only 1 offer per ppc, so unless they also changed their system to make it so the sale price doesn't come up w/o ppc, then NOT scanning a ppc will allow it to roll endlessly. Shoprite's system (as far as I know) can't dictate to the catalina system to print or not print cats? In any event, I'll try it myself tonight. Also, it's not uncommon for people to mistakenly pick up an incorrect item, or for cashiers to miss scanning 1 item, so there's other plausible explanations for a single incomplete report of not rolling.

Earlier in the week, the cat printed when the 10th item was scanned, no PPC needed for sale price or cat to print. I went this morning and scanned 10 sobe at SCO, got the sale price, but no cat printed. Then I scanned my PPC and it printed. Scanned my other items and paid. So, it looks like you HAVE to scan a PPC to get the cat (and most likely a PPC that has NOT been used from today on) or you won't get the cat.

thanks - that info nails the problem down. So the fix is multiple ppc's. I'm assuming your cat printed after scanning ppc but before paying, so paying with the prior cat won't prevent the new cat printing, and using a fresh ppc for each order will ensure each order generates a new cat. What will they do for people that don't have ppc's and ask for courtesy scans? I'd assume once the store uses the courtesy ppc for one person, everybody afterwards getting a courtesy scan won't get the cat? idk. I'll just bring a couple ppc's with me tonight, and go in and out doing 1 order at a time. Thanks for providing the relevant details, that was very useful!

Yes, the cat printed immediately after I scanned my PPC, but before paying (I scanned other items before paying). They only thing to watch with rolling (using multiple PPCs) is that it sounds like high $ qs require approval/key. Policy depends on store owner. I'm new to SR, so I'm not very familiar w/ this. Yesterday when I used the $10 cat, the cashier had to put a key in the register (but he had it on him) and type in something. No problem, but it may make it a little harder to stay under the radar....not sure how "nice" your store is...

This is interesting because I think the Courtesy card is a different beast altogether as far as the way it's "programmed" and it would in fact print the cat after every courtesy scan. If no one else ventures out I'll try on my break :D

when you say 'courtesy scan', do they scan a card for you? once a cat didn't print for me (not this deal), and they pulled out a stack of 8.5x11 sheets of paper with alot of bar codes on it. they searched for the code with the sale, scanned and out printed the cat. i just assumed these bar codes were the work-around when a cat didn't print, and that they were promotion specific.

what was the 'weirdness' on your receipt?

sometimes the cat system is updating itself or offline, and even though there's a green light, it won't print cats. One thing I do is watch the person ahead of me when they pay, and see if the cat machine spits out the advertisements or nonsense cats, just to make sure it's printing. The green light isn't always a guarantee it's printing.

this deal is in their printed ad, so you were entitled to the cat - did you complain it didn't print, and get them to issue you the cat?

I did in fact enjoy the heck out of stocking up! Thanks for asking!

no, not that one. this one below. they said not once but twice the ppc needs to be scanned b4 the cat will print.

and yes, shoprite's pos system is sophisticated enough to dictate to catalina whether to print or not as we all found out during the last dollar days w/ free shopping bags last yr. there are 2 kinds of cats, mfr and oyno and shoprite controls both.

mine don't. there's no chance the cashier is going to hold up a line waiting for somebody to go to customer service to sign up for a card. maybe they insist you show yours because you look shady or have a real snarky attitude? are you claiming your sr refuses to let people buy groceries unless they show a ppc?

Big Brother can watch all he wants if it means more free drinks  :D

Sorry guys! I used phone to text, so I didn't provide full information. I did 3 transactions today. One with my PPC which was scanned first, the cat didn't print out ( asked to cancel this trans.). The second trans. was without my PPC, the sale price was $1/ea bottle, but the CAT didn't print out until my husband card was scanned (used the first time for this deal). The third trans. was asked for courtesy card, and the first Supervisor said that there was no need to scan the card for the sale price, then she left. I had to stand my ground and asked for the courtesy card to scan to get my CAT. The second Sup. showed up and scanned her card, the CAT printed out immediately.
So the limit 1 per card per customer is applied for this Sobe/Lipton deal today. Wish that I read this thread earlier to take advantage of this deal. Oh well...game is fun while it lasts.

what was the 'weirdness' on your receipt?
*snip*
You can't just be this vague

*snip*:

:lmao:
I thought I was pretty descriptive, but I didn't have my receipt on me earlier to type up the exact "weirdness"...any whoo, this is what it says:

1 @ 99/0.00
CHECKOUT COUPON37 NP 0.00

When I went to CS they asked if the manager keyed anything; nope, never even saw FEM. So I'm not sure what that weirdness was all about or if it affected the CAT from printing, but it was definitely coincidental in the least (& CSR gave me a $10 CAT, no problem). As far as what I got, it was all fancy 20 ounce sobes (like Banana Strawberry, Citrus, and so forth).

I won't be doing it again as these are luxuries for us and not at all anything I need to be drinking on a regular basis.

This looks like hit a the coupon key by accident and then hit '0' as the value instead of voiding it because line item voids (at least at my stores) require FEM overrides. I'm thinking that even though it was entered for 0.00 it still prevented the cat from printing. I spend waaay too much time at SR

So did you do two separate transactions?

As for me I went into my SR toninght and had them scan the in-house card and i got my cats. I then went out to my car and put on my disguise () and went back in, this time to another line and had the in-house card scanned again and I got another cat. But I paid cash each time since I figured I could roll them next week. Tomorrow on my way to work I'll try to roll one with the in-house card :D

So as always YMMV but the in-house card (unless they have more than one per store) worked for me.

incorrect. This is usually the wording in the circular, but all of the dollar deals last year were 1 per transaction regardless of card used. I did 3-4 of the same deal on 1 card last year. However, after seeing this weeks fiasco who knows what we will be seeing come Sunday

sorry, also incorrect. there were 2 wks of deals, the cats were for the 4 wks after those 2 wks. the first wk it was 1 per transaction even though it said one per card. so of course it got abused. then they fixed it so the 2nd wk was 1 per card. they also ran out of free reusable bags so they had to stamp/raincheck almost all the q's everybody had.

ahh you are correct, i believe that went into effect halfway into the week. It was the splendas that busted that one. buy 3 $4 items with no coupons and get $12. Its the no coupons required free items that really blow store inventory and get the corporate onto it

It's once per PPC. I tried it today and that's what happened to me. Sounds like everyone needs multiple cards... I think by next week the system will allow everyone to do the transaction once again if they continue the sale.

I happen to be downloading my credit card transactions today and saw something really weird! On the 15th I went to SR and did the Sobe Deal - bought 10 and got 10. Next transaction I did another 10 (including oatmeal) used my first $10 and got ten more.

On my credit card statement it shows my first $10 charge and then my second $30.20 charge. On the Pending activity there is ANOTHER $10 charge for 2/15 that I never authorized. They can't possibly charge our cards without authorization for the second deal could they???????

I will fight it if is clears through and return the items but can they do that??

ETA: My credit card does not have "pending" charges like a debit card. If yours does then wait another day or two.

I would wait until it actually clears. I have see multiple "pending" transactions on my CC before that haven't actually gone through. Usually it's for places like a gas station or a hotel, a grocery store seems odd. But I would wait. They might not be able to do anything until it actually goes through anyway.

Thanks - good to know. I don't normally pay attention to pending activity but there were only two transactions up there so I happened to notice the SR one being both cleared and pending.

if you are going to stick around to do the dollar days deals, pls follow the thread a little more carefully so we do not have to repeat ourselves constantly.

Have you elected yourself Thread Cop?

Seriously this thread remains one of the nicest and most friendly on SD, let's not go all cuckoo with the "so we don't have to repeat ourselfves constantly" spiel because then it all starts to get a little too Rite Aid/CVS for me

Like you said SR owners have different rules and they vary wildly from store to store as the posts in this thread would indicate so the dialogue (even though it seems redundant to some) is good so we all can be aware of the different variances and potentialities for when we go to do our deals.

I frequent 6 different SRs in Monmouth County (NJ). All require a ID of some sort for a PPC, NONE have a courtesy card. If you don't have courtesy card on you and the phone lookup doesn't work - no discount. However, usually person behind you usually will say - "here is my card" as long as check is not involved. I know because I have done it several times. Slowtech was right. I got my multiple PPC cards by using my various addresses including relatives (in Fl, PA and Mass) and doing it on-line, you don't have the key thing but the telephone number works.

That is crazy

At the 7-8 stores (Burlington County in NJ and Bensalem, PA) that I haunt they all have a courtesy card, they enter itwithout a second thought as a matter of fact if they ask for your card and you don't respond fast enough they'll enter the code for the in-house one just to keep things moving. It's two different owners too for the stores  It's just funny (or not) how wildly the policy varies but I guess that's part of why it's such a headache when things don't go right in the store. If CS doesn't buy your story there is little recourse but to eat the loss or return the items as a call to CS just gets you the, "it's up to the individual store" speech

Probably not :(

I've been using alot of RC's for the Purina One Beyond over the past couple weeks and the way it's entered only brings up the sale price.

During the actual sale they were accumulating points for the Family Rewards Program based on shelf price ($7.49) but when entered as a RC I've only been getting ($5.49) towards points.

Got a couple of Sobe Strawberry Kiwi lemonade and did not pay bottle deposit on them. There is something strange with them as cashier had to hit some key(s) after scanning each one. But the Catalina printed just fine. So if you want to make 0.05/bottle then go for those - the bottles have "CT 5c refund" language.

But as for next week's great dollar deals - next week is bleh-blah compared to 2 years ago (or was it 1 year ago?) when we had 10 deals of free stuff even without coupons and huge moneymakers with coupons. They were limited to one per price plus card and oynos were only good starting after the sale was over so you could not roll. But at that point I had $200 in oynos from previous deals and I was worrying how would I spend them all before they expire. But after 2 weeks of dollar days were over I had $900 in oynos and then I had a shopping spree. That experience changed my whole perspective on moneymaker deals.

So there may be hope for DD deals next week then :D

I think your card might if you haven't used it since they imposed the limit so I think you'll be fine...

Well I just tried with my card and nothing printed when my last tranny was wednesday , then I tried the store card and the " you r t did the deal" cat printed. CS said 1 per customer...i noted the 1 per transaction....got "1 per ppc". Didnt fight. This is my only SR.

Lots of pages to wade through. You all have been busy!!
DEALS condensed for next week's DOLLAR DAYS and credit given attached linkies. A big THANKS TO:
z390z, jenjunum, kenseysmom, ShopSmart10,newclipper, allenmc, supersavvy, couponmami
for deal ideas, coupons,info.. This is an awesome thread!! REPS to all for their contributions!!! Will add to WIKI tomorrow when I can delete old one (otherwise it goes wonky because it can't hold all the info).

EDIT BY MOD

you should ask nuffsaid for a 2nd wiki. since the character limit is causing an ongoing problem, i think we have a case. the target deal thread has 2 wikis and i wouldn't presume to equate ours w/ the printables thread but they have 10 plus 2 extra.

i would go ask my frenemies too but i don't think web developers have anything to do w/ it. but if you think it would help i will go ask them. may be something for the future since the drugstore threads are running into character ceilings.

totally OT, not a shoprite deal but a cat food freebie at target so skip if you are not interested- as for the 3.00 iams q, got too many pm's to respond individually. i remember saphira did a search at target and did not turn up the trial size w/in 80 miles when the q came out.

i was at 2 local targets thurs and they both had the 3.00 trial-sized cat foods w/ these big colorful 4ft shelf strip labels that said in big letters *trial size iams*. i bought it at the first store and was just passing by at the 2nd store and saw they had the displays in 2 aisles so they may also have the trial-sized dog food too. it was almost 11pm (new store closing time in my area) and i didn't have time to take a closer look. i can confirm later today.

dpci for the indoor weight and hairball that i bought for my neighbor's fat cat :teehee: is 083-12-0898. they also had original chicken and natural. maybe others, i didn't look too closely. i just get freebies and MM's for my neighbor.

Loved the show, Slowtech:lol:. Thanks for the dcpi on the cat food. They haven't had dog or cat food at my target at all. My SR is still all out of most of the Got2B but has stock of the teas and Sobe now.:lmao: Dollar Days doesn't seem too interesting to me this year...took me forever to give away all the Pompeiian(sp) vinegar and cooking wine from last year!:)

don't forget rain checks if your SR is out of anything like the got2b. that's how i extend my sales all the time. i always look for empty hooks and shelves and go get rainchecks like the nivea lipcare just came out w/ another 3.00/2 q last wknd and i have a raincheck for all varieties.:D also have rainchecks for the smart balance milk and even the shoulder blade lamb chops from last wk cuz i got there too late and the meat counter was closed. this way i don't have to go back the same wk and try again.

i now clip my rainchecks w/ the q's together w/ whichever is expiring first in front. then i have them in date order along w/ any free q's like mcr and they are in the front of my coupon organizer. so every wk i check to see what q's and rainchecks i need to use a couple wks b4 they expire so in case they don't have stock the wk b4, i still have a second wk to get it. got tired of good rainchecks expiring on me.

i remember the first wk of dollar days was not at all exciting but the second wk was excellent for me. got clorox bleach, glad wrap (i remember them being out of stock of the freebie item), raisins (still eating them), either dole or delmonte jarred fruit (trying to stay away from cans, esp acidic foods b/c of bpa's) and other excellent deals. so we'll see.

then after those 2 wks they had either a nabisco or nestle cat deal which i also did but those cats were limited to that company's products and not really any good sales the following 2 wks of course.

i actually scheduled vacay to florida around the cat redemption period b/c i had 30.00 in cats each wk to redeem. i told dh i was not going to do the dollar day deals at all if we were going to be away so we scheduled the flights for either a monday or tues to give me time to go to shoprite.:rofl2::crazy: and that's why i remember what happened last yr so vividly.:teehee:

Only an SDer schedules vacations around Cat redemption:lmao: Good idea about clipping the Qs to the RCs. I always just clip the RCs together but will do it that way now. They alctually had more Got2B today but glad I still have my RCs...might have to order more Qs now. Hoping week 2 is better for DD!

Haven't been to ShopRite for a few weeks. I went tonight to my nearby store that turns the Sunday deals on early, usually 9PM or so on Saturday night. Although I'm not a drinker of soda/soft drinks, the free Sobe seemed like too good a deal to pass up. They only had three kinds on the shelf -- a carrot-orange flavored drink, pina colada and iced tea. I got ten bottles and the $10 CAT printed out as expected.

The other scenario I had planned did not work. I read about the Smartbalance deal in the OP, so picked up two milks and two bottles of oil. They scanned at $2.99 as expected, so the oil was scanning at tomorrow's price. However, no CAT printed for me. So I will know better next time not to try CAT deals before the sale date.

Heads-up, the regular Coke 12-packs aren't producing the CAT, all other Coke brands 12-packs are working - my store has a call into Catalina. Also, for the Knorr, CS told me that only the bags marked rice sides and pasta sides are working so don't buy the Asian sides or Cajun sides by mistake, they won't work. None of the new e-coupons that CD posted the morning came off for me, even though I loaded them to my card about 2 hrs before shopping.

I bought 6 Knorr sides, and didn't get the CAT. I was told at customer service that the flier is incorrect, and the Knorrs are not included in the buy 6, get $3 oyno offer. Only the Ragu and Hellmann's tartar sauce will work. . . . The same might be the case for all the general mills items other than the cereal, though I didn't ask about this. In the case of the unilever deal, I was told it was just the items within the box that says "all participating items listed here", even though the items below it are in the green shaded area, and appear to be included. So be careful.

The Smart Balance peanut butter worked fine.

Yes, it currently appears any items using knorr are not working. It could be only a couple specific varieties were programmed in.

If you look at their ad online, and click on the Knorr products, it specifically says Knorr is included in the deal. Buy 6. I would contest it at the CS desk.

Has anyone tried the Smart Balance Oil in their transaction?

also I read on LRWC that some working transactions included Knorr Pasta sides, so I'm begining to think that this is like the Unilever Pathmark cat deal from a couple of weeks back.....only some of the flavors/types were working. I know there was a list on the Pathmark forum of which types were working I'm going to stick to that list and report back if it works.

You're right. Even other unilever products below the Knorr are showing as part of the deal. I'll try again tomorrow.
