Just be fully prepared to stand your ground, have the policy with you and highlighted etc. Go when you have a spare couple of hours also.:D
I have only done this type of transaction a couple of times, but it seems like the concept of having to pricematch AND use coupons to give you two free items, makes their heads explode. They can't seem to grasp the fact that they'll be reimbursed for the coupons.
I agree on the couple hours thing.. It takes 5 or 6 employees to figure out how to do the BOGO price match - and then they don't want to let you use coupons because "you already got your discount."
Even when the store manager told them to use my coupons - the CSM kept telling the other employees they wouldn't get reimbursed for them... :headbang:

I think I will give up on the Tena Q. They keep rejecting it saying it is not legible enough. :sadwalk: Oh well.
I found a gazillion yellow tearpads in the American Greetings aisle - $1.00/2 cards.
I'm using the 4 pp from pillage and they print and scan(both bar codes) just fine.

I've only done it once, about 6 months ago.
I'm still picking brain matter out of my purse. :rolleye2:

84121 zip code on coupons.com
Works on any White or Chocolate and excluding Soy Milk beverages 1 gallon or 2 x half gallon. Icon says “Valid in ID & UT,” but don’t know if it actually prints that (I’m out of ink; can’t test).

Just got back pm'ing the Got2B products from Wags. cashier wasn't sure how to do it so csm came over and agreed 1st item keyed in as $3.00 and 2nd item $2.99. got 5 Purina dog food bags, marked down $3 (from $6.xx), 6 of the schick bags and walk out the door in 20 minutes with $11.xx in "O". Came prepared and glad it wasn't as bad as I thought (had the wag's ad, the wally's coupon/price match ad policy and a receipt of wag's last night). Thanks everyone for your help. 1st time p'm BOGO and using coupons. :)

I remember some time back, people listed a couple of places where they'd seen the Breathe Right 2-packs instead of the pharmacy area. I've walked around 3 WMs in my area, and no hanging strip by the pharmacy/beauty area to be found.
On a positive note, I did find a tearpad of Try Me Free rebate form for the 10-count Breathe Right. I actually use the product so I'll be doing this, but I need to start finding these silly things soon 'cause I have a whole stack of coupons to use up....

Have you tried to order them form the pharmacy dept or the person who's in charge of filling/ordering candy by checkout? The person in charge of ordering impulse candy is also in charge of hanging those strips.

This is probably because this Walmart is getting a major remodel, but I found 4 oz Cortaid Poison Ivy Scrub for $2.50 clearance.
Thanks for info! My WM doesn't carry the 2oz regular Cortaid!

I had an asst mgr or whatever he was, he's always walking around with his gun doing things, scan the 2pk and he told me he had 2 in the back and would get them for me, (but I only had 4 coupons on me, waiting for others in mail) so I said not now, thanks. I just took 4or the 5 left on the strip. Anyway, asked him if they were getting more in, and he told me No, and explained in language I don't remember, meaning its something they can't order. I think others mentioned same thing week or 2 ago. Hope he was wrong!

I'm using the 4 pp from pillage and they print and scan(both bar codes) just fine.
It's not so much the scanning. It's the legibility. First they couldn't read the expiration date, so I printed in color and it's more legible. Now the complaint is that they can't read the fine print - where it says "consumer... yada yada, retailer... yada yada... mail to such-and-such place..." They claim they will not be reimbursed if they can't read it because they won't know where to send it. I guess it's my printer. *shrug*
I did see the Hasbro Toy coupon tearpads at my WM but they were picked clean already! Lots of toy clearance still - and not really at "good enough" prices for me. Nothing really seemed much more than half off. I did notice they had a few more movies left from a holiday display that had peelies on them for $7.50 off a ticke to see a WB movie, but expires 1/12. Might be a good deal if you are looking for something to do soon.
Oh - also a peelie for $5 movie cash on Nanny McPhee - which was $5.

Since today's date is 2/10/2012, depending on your time zone......unless this is a typo its not of much use.....;)
Stopped in tonight to use a couple Qs. Nothing too exciting.
$1/1 Nilla IP on 2.98 mini nillas (size is between a nickel and a quarter)
$5 Purina Beyond on 6.98 3.5lb bags (grabbed 4, saw sleeves of both types to go out on pallet-will go back tomorrow)
$1/1 Honey Bunches of Oats Fruit Fusions IP on $3.18 HBO boxes
Saw Iams Premium Protection puppy 3.5lbs for 6.88 and adult 3.5lbs for 7.88. Bit expensive for my tastes.
Did snag two boxes of Pilsbury Whoopie Pie Kits for 1.50 each, minus $1.50 IP...they had been condensed onto a focal with the other valentines baking mixes....free after Q :woot:
They have the date night display here but no peelies. No .97 vaseline tubes here or other close store. Breathe right has been swiped here as well. Greedy people in this area....as I know theyw ere overflowing and full before the Qs came out and deals were reported. :(

I have 1.5hrs to waste between getting out of work at 10pm and going to Dh's office to wait after the scary cleaning guy is there....I normally walk up and down the aisles of the store looking for things on my coupon list and random clearance. Just wanted to let people to not give up hope on finding their items, just scored tonight.
(19) Schick razor packs $1.98 - $2 Coupon
(6) $2.98 KY Jelly - $5 Coupon I mentioned in the tearpad forum last week
(8) $5.98 Tena Pads - Exact amount as I told them to input the actual sales price
No overage on the Tena, but even with that, my pre-coupon total was $91, and after all I received $18 in cash back.
My store has been out of the razors forever so i was ecstatic to finally get some again, plus I'm out of coupons and there are still at least 20 in the bin.

Yes, I found them just where purple explained. They were out since the coupon came out, but I finally found 3 last week. They were $6.48.
I also found the yellow VIC this week. There wasn't a space for them since coupon came out and I've been looking. Just had the shorter white tube for $2.97 or so. Was ready to check out but remembered and went back to give a look, and there they were! All standing up in a plastic holder. But, shelf price was $1.87, I think. I took one to price check and it came up .97! Went back and grabbed 'em. Only had yellow.
Also, don't give up on the Scrubbing Bubbles toilet thingie. (Refill with free unit) I was down that aisle last week and found a few! Guess they found a box somewhere. $3.97, I think. They weren't where the other ones used to be, but further down the aisle where there was an empty area.
Anyone actually using this? When they first came out, some posters said how tricky it was to get that tube in correctly, lest it sprays all over! Debating whether to try one. We have very hard water here and that damn ring is so hard to remove!

Yes. We had them in 2 bathrooms and no matter what we did, after just a couple of "good" uses, it would start to shoot up over the toilet rim and sprayed the cabinet. Tossed 'em.
As for the Whoopie pie kits, I bought 2 of them months ago when they first came out and they are sooo gross! :yucky: That cheap marshmallow goo in the center tastes like feet.

Is the cake part at least ok? I was thinking of sending them to my nieces or using them for work....the kids aren't picky and my coworkers will eat cake after its been sitting for a week....so quality isn't exactly a requirement here....:lmao:

Yes. Works great!
Enjoy! :D

I got 6 of them when they were free with coupons. I used them and threw them away because I would never pay for a refill to use them again.
THanks, all. Guess I'll just sell them.

At several Walmarts, it looked like a fresh batch of $5 peelies on the KY DateNight items for VDay. Also found $4 MQs on the Hydro5 razors and 75¢ MQs on the Hydro gel - big 4 sided center aisle display.

No $5 KY peelies at 5 Wm's today...I did find the new displays in the lingerie area.
I found Yes To Carrots facial wipes on clearance $2.97 but didn't have my IP's with me.
I found some Schick Disposable 10+2 ct in the wrong bin...so look at ALL disposable razors in case someone inadvertently stocks them in the wrong bin.
I also found the $4 peelies & .75 peelies on the Schick hydros & hydro gel. The display was located near the checkout lane where they sell cigs & booze. (I was too chicken to take any though)
The $2.86 Tenas were all gone at 5 stores. Some scoundrel took em all. Oh well, the early bird catches the worm!
One store had a lot of Hungry Hungry Hippos Travel sets and I PM'd Target's $4.99 price. There are still 10-12 on the shelf.
Found lots of 4 lb bags of Iams cat food on clearance for $5.

They only carry two flavors at mine, Brown Sugar and Spice and Country Ranch, and they are $2. Both are by the other dry Hidden Valley dressing packets in the condiment isle.
Thanks for those who answered the question about the Purina One Beyond. I did find the place for it at another WM, but of course they were out. Same at Target and Meijer. For some reason mine still isn't carrying the small one.

just stopped at Petco today and they had the small bags for 5.99 each...for the dog at least. Well, they had an empty space on the shelf where it should have been. Luckily I am almost out of coupons so no stress. Would have been nice to know when my coupons came in though.

I used those $2.00 off Jennie-O Frozen Turkey Burger MQ (from the inserts) at Wal-Mart yesterday. They were running $7.48 each ($5.48 after coupons). I checked 3 other local stores and the prices were anywhere from $9.99 and up:omg: $5.48 is a good price for 12 Quarter Pound Burgers (sealed) and they don't shrink very much and are pre-seasoned (260mg sodium per patty) but pretty tasty for a turkey burger. I'm having problems searching this forum, so if this has already been mentioned please disregard.

Most of our clearance stuff is in lawn and garden. A "clearance event" and has been the same price for weeks. In fact, some of the stuff was on clearance before Christmas and they packed it up for Christmas and brought it back out and it's the same price as it was before Christmas.

Sorry if already mentioned -
Went to Wally yesterday and my little brother was looking at the Legos. I saw a clearance tag on the LEGO Star Wars Darth Maul's Sith Infiltrator (set 7961) for $49.
Scanned it and it was just $35! It's going for $62+ on Amazon right now.
Found it in the LEGO aisle, not in clearance.
Just an FYI.

A year or so ago they decided to not put anything lower than 50% off, except seasonal merchandise....which means lots of stuff sits at 30% for YEARS. I stalked a B&D tool kit for 4 years hoping it would hit 50% so I could justify buying it (we only needed one tool out of three, but could have used the other two). Didn't happen. They toted three of the kits all over the store on clearance sections but wouldn't drop it more.
They also put up those red clearance price tags for anything not "active" in the system, not just clearance items....which is misleading and crappy.
The extra 50% off stuff the other weekend didn't seem to happen at any of my three stores. Not on anything, although some items randomly dropped the week after. Like ice cream mixes from last summer that have been sitting at $2 instead of 2.36 all winter....

In the excitement of a good deal, it's easy to do that. This one is super specific, though, and even lists the model number, so I was just mentioning it so people knew if they were looking for it that it was just good on that one. Maybe there are some other "My Baby Alive" on clearance that the IP can be used on. It is probably coded for all Baby Alive products, so that's why no beeps.

Many Ips have a set number of prints. Sometimes they release more, sometimes they reset the restrictions-allowing you to print more even though you printed from the first release.
Its reset by Bricks (coupons.com) but allowed by the manufacturer.
ETA: got all excited to find the vday Fundamiddles (pink inside) but they are full priced as the shelf tag says "holiday fundamiddles" and is being transitioned to the easter ones.....sucky.
Schick Hydro Silk has a starter pack with one razor and a mini shaving cream for 5.97. 2.97 after $3 IP.
The Schick Extreme Eco that has a $1 IP is 5.97 for four.
Pet section is resetting so look for clearance. I've seen dog collars, dog shampoo and spray, leashes, and other grooming products. They have a whole new line coming in to replace big portions of these. Not as sure about the cat, small pet, etc as we have none.
Saw got2be products on clearance for 3.50 each. Dry conditioner and a hairspray I think. Also some random varieties of different shampoo/conditioner. A set or two in just about every brand.

Arg! I want to throw something out the window. I took DW to the airport today which meant that I could stop at 4 different WMs that I can't usually stop at. Every. Single. One. Would not push the damn KY coupon through. I just want some O!
At one of the WMs something I wanted to buy rang up as 3.97 when it was tagged 3.47 and they would not even sell me both of them for 3.47, they said one could be 3.47 but the other would be 3.97. I want to punch WM right in the face. The one Q I have plenty of that is supposed to be creating O, nobody will take!

It has been a painful process, but I have basically 2 stores trained now. Actually the second store is not trained all that well, but I do have them trained to look at the policy instead of excuses why it's wrong. It's definitely helpful to be able to call the district office while standing in the store.
The stores here aren't too keen on IPs anymore, they're getting burned pretty bad.

Which KY coupon were you trying to use? The $3 insert one on the $2.84 KY?
As for the shelf price vs. register price, don't they know there are laws against this?
Boy, gets worse instead of better. Sorry this happened to you. So frustrating!

Looks like Palmer's now has 2 different $2 coupons good for facial products.
The coupon with the expiration date 12/31/2012 is good for Palmer's facial products only, and no where in the fine print does it say "not valid on trial sizes"
The coupon I just signed up for has the expiration date "No expiration date" and is good for Palmer's facial products only, and this coupon says in the fine print "not valid on trial sizes or Palmers Cocoa butter Formula Swivel Stick"
So read your coupon before you use it to make sure you are using it correctly ;);)

Welcome to my world! I'm assuming you hit Maplewood & St. Ann in there? I've given up with both of them. I don't step foot into a WM unless I have NO other choice. The SM at Maplewood actually said "We must be doing something right, you keep coming back." to me when I was complaining to him about a CSM that was harrassing me.
Ug... that sucks about maplewood, I work right by it (and actually drive past it pretty much every day) and have been hoping I'd get things worked out there. That store is not very good and won't take a lot of Qs.
St. Ann was the one that had the mispriced item and would not take the Q. That place is a dump. I also happened to go to the WM in chesterfield (also would not take the Q) and to compare those two WMs is crazy. I felt literally unsafe in St. Ann like a shelf might collapse or I'd stumble upon a pack of wolves or something.
Have you tried the dm's? What's the reason for not putting it through? I can't stand WM either, but I have a few I'm fairly comfortable with that give me minimal hassles and 1 I try to avoid at all costs, of course it's the closest one.
I don't know how to call a DM yet. There was one store that had a number posted that I thought might be the DM and I've called it 3 or 4 times but nobody answers and nobody returns the call. They just say that since it is not automatically deducting, they can't take it, since it must have come off a different box.
:teehee:
:crylol:
Hrm... wish I had done that on purpose. :O

You definitely made me laugh with what you said about St. Ann. We call it the "Ghetto WM" and not because of where it's located but because of the shape that it's in. I actually thought I had gotten a bit of relief there about 6 months ago. They got a new AM and he said I could PM after RR from Wags and even order in bulk. That lasted 1 trip! The next trip they wouldn't even take coupons against an item I PMed to a sale price (no RRs involved). He said his hands were tied as he was over softlines and the person over the front end wouldn't allow it. So much for him being an AM! You would think that store needed all the business it could get in the condition it's in. Lol

I swear it was in this thread that somebody mentioned the colgate wisps, but I can't find it back.
Anyway, there appears to be 4 different flavors of colgate wisps the light blue ones are peppermint I believe (I know they are light blue) ring up as 96 cents (and say "please see associate" if you check on a scanner), so are a 4cent MM with the 1/1 Q. The green ones are 1.50, the red "optic" ones are 1.50 also. I later found light blue ones with these weird pink blobs on them that say they are gum flavored or something, but not sure what price they are. These were the prices at 3 different stores here.

West St. Paul, MN Walmart - Found two full boxes of Jack Link's Beef Jerky 3oz packages for $2 (was $3.50)
Peppered and teriyaki varieties. Price sticker was red, forgot if that's clearance or rollback.
Found them in the spice aisle, not with the other beef jerky.

The coupon policy should be linked in the wiki on the first page of this thread. Its a direct link to Walmarts website. You can download and print it. They should have a copy at the store as well so you can compare and point out the overage allowance.

Had the same thing happen to me today.
ETA: Cashier wouldn't even scan the coupon - just manually entered as vendor coupon. ?? Irritating.

I was told that it didn't matter because it would be changing and the cash office just won't let them do it period.
All the clearance at my stores is still ridiculously priced. The only thing I found were 8pks of valentine themed paper plates for .24. Milk prices also went up. It was a depressing trip. Oh - I did find the Jenni-o burgers everyone was talking about for $6.48. I got a pack to try, but I hope they go cheaper!

Depending on where you are, you are supposed to get money off when things do not ring up properly. It should be posted at every register. Since they wouldn't do it, contact the Department of Weights and Measures in your area. They'll take care of it. ;)

I think they are. I haven't really had a problem with getting overage there except for trying to PM the CVS ad for Bayer around Thanksgiving. I only go there every few weeks - but generally am able to leave without feeling like I never want to step foot in a Walmart again. So yes, I guess in this area when you can leave a Walmart and feel like you would like to return, it is better than "normal."

VERY much so! It's so sad when we get excited to find a WM that doesn't make us regret walking into it. It's probably closer for you to get to SoCo than me but it might be worth the drive. I've heard the Lake St. Louis store is ok as well. I'm planning to make a trip there this week some time.

You can contact the AG if you like, they will contact each and every company that they receive a complaint on (they get back to you within 30 days). Just the contact from them will cause Corporate to get in that store's @$$. The one-two punch from the AG and Weights and Measures will DEFINITELY have heads rolling. HTH!

Called the AG's office and they said that they can do a "community mediation" if I am not happy with what the store did to fix the problem and they told me I should go back to the store and check to see if it has been fixed, since it was probably an error. I stated that it must be nice to break the law and be a billion dollar corporation. She said that this is a service that they provide for all businesses, and I stated that it would sure be nice if the citizens of Missouri could get such "fair" treatment from the AG's office.

I found $4/1 Air wick Automatic Spray Kit tearpad today at my Walmart attached to a display case of the new release fragances of Air Wick Automatic Spray Kits that are priced at $4.77.
Which made it only 77 cents after the q :omg:
I went a little crazy :D and bought 30 of them
I love their product! Can't you tell ;)
It's an awesome deal that I couldn't pass knowing that I do use it at home and the refill cans alone cost about $5 w/o any q.
I was able to take 8 of that qs home. 5 of them I will be sending to my Mama, and the other 3, I would like to share (raok) to a fellow SDer :) First one to pm me gets them. Will edit my post once it's claimed.

If your talking about the Buena park store on La Palma, talk to the store mgr, he's actually a pretty nice person from last time I saw him as well as some of the supervisors Ive encountered at this location. Now the grocery section at this store is not the best, needs to get extended a bit. This store is pretty good.

I actually talked to a Wags SM today and asked him about the Yes To Carrots PDF. He said he had someone else try to use it and Corp told him they couldn't. I said that it wasn't me and he said I know, it was a man. I thought of you immediately!
It's just that it says "Walmart" on it and most Wags won't take a coupon that references another store. Nothing has been discussed about it being a fraud or anything.
I have used it at Target on the $1.99 size body butter, get $1.00 O on each one, T manager checked it out and gave it a big thumbs up.........YMMV as always!!

I'm not familiar with T's O policy. This is new isn't it? I might have to head there to try it out!
So I went in to Maplewood WM last night and the Tena MQ said it was for too much and adjusted to the price of the item. I know it had done this for some people but is does it always do it? If there is an argument as to why they should key it in at $7 I would like to prepare.;)

Make some videos of you interacting with managers and clerks. I would legitimately like to see how you get it done, since I feel like I'd have more luck making my sister's baby to calculus then trying to convince a manager to do anything based upon anything I brought into a store (if that manager has made up his mind when I first ask)

I have had two targets not take the Yes to Carrots and one target take the YTC coupon. Wish that I could convince more Wags to take it, since it's at like 75 cents at some stores now. Even the bigger tubes are turning into MM with that 3/1 at one store :(

If you're a regular Walmart shopper and expect the same at Target, run away now  Personally, I prefer Target over Walmart in most cases, but that's just me, and I read both threads.
In general, don't expect overage at Target, although it does sometimes happen. In my experience, though, you will never get overage on a GC like some of you do at Walmart.

In my experience with this q, if they scan it with the hand-held, it asks for the price, anything over the price of the product will tell them it's too much, if they scan it on the belt scanner, it asks for price and accepts the $7. Or if you have a newer cashier--they may just do a $7 vendor coupon. If they have problems with the handheld, just ask them to try it on the belt scanner........good luck!! I, for one, will miss the heck out of this q at the end of the month!!
As for the YTC at Target, this coupon will automatically attach for $3 even with product price of $1.99, hth!!

It could be this one...
Tena $7 IP
short barcode scans, screen pops up "enter amount" $7.00 amount too high, "hit accept" auto adjusts
long barcode scans, screen pops up "enter amount" $7.00 goes through
I had managers look at the q. and gave full value for it, due to the fine print and there being NO place to enter in an amount.

Back to the YTC q that I see ya'll discussing. My thoughts on this are that the q is missing the word "only" that would make it exclusive to WalMart. But telling that to some sales clerks is like trying to have an intellectual discussion with an aardvark. :crazylaf:

I have had several problems with WM not accepting certain coupons. One being the KY catalina from Walgreens. And my store has never accepted RR. Heck this particular store is hesitant about taking the BR cpns. So I sent an email to corp. and asked about a catalina cpn in particular that I had in front of me (the $3 poise Mq reedemable at WG). Typed out exactly what the cat said and asked if it was ok to use it at WM. This was their response in part:
Thank you for your recent correspondence regarding the acceptance of coupons at Walmart. Our guidelines generally allow for the following types of coupons to be accepted:
- manufacturer coupons (Cents Off)
- free merchandise (or manufacturer's Buy-One-Get-One-Free) coupons
- store coupons
- register rewards coupons
- internet coupons
- soft drink container caps
- catalina checkout coupons
- pharmacy coupons (advertising and promotional)
Customers should be able to use a manufacturer's coupon and a competitor advertisement match on the same item on the same transaction.
_________
I could not believe it when I read 'Register Rewards' in there. Now if I can find some p&g ones that don't state 'only', I will be trying this out..with this email in hand.
Thought maybe this might help someone else too.

The argument would be that if they intended you to only be reimbursed the actual price - the retailer would have added a place to write the price on the coupon. Also the terms of the coupon state the retailer will be reimbursed the face value of the coupon. The face value is $7. Under Walmart's coupon policy, if they are going to be reimbursed $7, then the customer should get the $7.
Since there is no place to write in the price, and nothing for them to "attach" to when they are scanned at the clearinghouse, I would think they would have to scan at $7 when Walmart submits them for reimbursement.

I was at a WM last night where I've gotten the $7 value before. The CSM wasn't going to give me $7 even after showing her a previous receipt from their store. I had lots of groceries (fruit, veggies, lunchmeat, OJ,etc...) I said that's fine, void all my food items & Tena products and I only want to purchase the 4 Got2b products. She hemmed & hawed and told the cashier to put them through as vendor coupons. In the end, I paid $42.00 for my extra grocery items.

I understand. I haven't been willing to fight Walmart over the overage here either. I have only bought a couple at Walmart and have let them adjust the coupon (when they take the coupon.) I have saved my energy for buying them somewhere that gives overage. Walmart has lost a lot of sales because of their attitude.

Target's official policy (as linked on their own website) is to not give overage. Back in Novermber pre-BF they had a newsletter that told LODs to allow any manufaturer's coupon to go through for more than the price of an item so long as it was applied to the rest of the purchase (no cash back). This newsletter is not highly distributed (think 3 copies for the entire store) and read as well as anything else in the training manual, etc.
So YMMV as to what they know and how they implement it. I know my store is properly trained since I got the headsup from niko in the T thread....

It's coded as an MQ and shuriken asked on their FB page and YTC said they'd honor it nationwide. Not that FB posts are much help with random managers, but it at least made me feel confident about managers that were nice enough to take it probably getting reimbursed for it.

Almost every coupon seems random at Walmart as to whether you get overage. It is amazing how they scrutinize coupons to try to find a reason to deny overage. One trick is to say (even looking at a P&G coupon) "Oh! It says RIGHT HERE 'one per purchase!' You can only use one."
Their policy allows overage. A coupon is either valid or not, without regard to whether it produces overage - but once a coupon sets off overage - they have to (mis)read it until they convince themselves they are right.

Well, then why on their policy for internet coupons is one of the requirements for it to have a redemption address? You don't need an address if they will be shredded. There's no EMAIL address on them, just a mailing one. Total BS.

If your talking about the Buena park store on La Palma, talk to the store mgr, he's actually a pretty nice person from last time I saw him as well as some of the supervisors Ive encountered at this location. Now the grocery section at this store is not the best, needs to get extended a bit. This store is pretty good.
The Buena Park store was where I got all the cheap clearance items. It seems to be the only store in the area that wanted their clearance aisle cleared as I have not found any other store with the prices I got. The Long Beach store has the toddler dolls on clearance for $7. Action figures and bubble wrap haven't been on clearance anywhere else.
Found 2 Baby Alive dolls on clearance, 1 at $9 and 1 at $6. I took a chance and asked if the Baby Alive coupons I had were good for these clearanced dolls. She looked at my coupons and said, "Oh sure, these work on any of the Baby Alive dolls." OK. I think I have found my favorite cashier!

What's the general consensus on the $2 Palmer's Lotion pdf coupon? Can it be used for the travel size stuff or not? It's says "not valid on trial size", doesn't say "travel".

What's the general consensus on the $2 Palmer's Lotion pdf coupon? Can it be used for the travel size stuff or not? It's says "not valid on trial size", doesn't say "travel".

I found the Cocoa Butter Formula w/ Vitamin E, 1.1oz. "tub" in the travel secion at Walmart. It was $1.47 and the coupon beeped for "valid coupon amount". Cashier questioned the part of the Q that says "not valid on TRIAL sizes or swivel stick". We called a CSM that agreed with me that "trial" and "travel" are not the same. Trial sizes (according to her), state "trial size" on the package. Travel sizes are just that ... made small and convenient for travel purposes.
I was just wondering what others are thinking/hearing about this coupon. Forty-three cents in "O" (after taxes) isn't bad. It was more than I was getting from the BR. :)

I have one with no expiration date that specifies "not valid on trial".
Not sure what the difference in Trial and Travel.

The coupon issues were at the Cypress, Cerritos, and Orange Mall Targets. No problems at BP other than I hate the parking there. Westminster Mall store is coupon friendly and a very nice 2 story store.
I went to the other BP store (not at the mall) to return a toddler dress. They had a sign blocking the entrance to customer service that said returns would now be handled at the registers when you check out. It was kind of weird doing it at the register but it did result in only having to stand in one line. Probably wouldn't be the best if you didn't have any shopping to do tho.
SoCal must have all their Breathe Right 2 pks hiding out in the storeroom. None to be found.
I was reading your post which is posted in the Wal Mart thread and got all confused when you mentioned Westminster store is coupon friendly. I know there isn't a Wal Mart at that mall but a Target. Went back and read it again and realize you're talking about Target stores at all those location.:lmao:
Is the Baby Alive doll clearance found at Target or Walmart? It's $25 at my Wally.

If this is the one for the Palmer's facial product, I have used it beeplessly on the following at WM:
Cocoa butter stick (looks like a fat chap stick): 2.17 (.17 AC)
Facial Bars: 2.24 (.24 AC)
There are a couple of other bar soaps that I suspect this will work for. If memory serves me correctly, all of the bars of soap are 2.24 at my WM.

You are so right! Talk about your mind switching stores on you right in the middle of a thought! Can we consider it a "Senior Moment"? Any way, I took the Target info out. Thanks.
The dolls I got for $9 & $6 were on the clearance racks in front of toys at the Cerritos Wal-Mart. One was the Peek-A-Boo one and the other was Baby All Gone. They had about 6 of the Peek-A-Boo ones. I got one and used the $5 Baby Alive coupon along with the $8 on the $9 doll.
Tonight I was at the WalMart on Euclid by the 5 freeway and found two of the Baby All Better dolls that scanned at $9. Used my last two coupons. They were on the shelf with the others. Shelf tag said $19.99. Also found a really nice Wilson Soccer ball for $7. The clearance row in this store is out in the inside garden area.
Not all Baby All Better dolls scan at $9. You just have to scan them and see. Do you live in this area? I can watch for them for you if you want.

Got a call from a manager at like 7:30 Saturday night (weird) and explained the situation and he said he'd call me back today. I got a call from a different manager today that said he'd let me buy the item at 3.47 and push through one of the KY coupons "this one time." I didn't feel like "having it out" with him, so I just said whatever and will probably talk about it more with him tonight after work.

I think they are trying to clarify between facial products (usually more expensive) and body products?
swivel stick is under body care on their site as well as facial, I get the feeling they meant exclusively facial care be it cleanser, moisturizer, etc.
What it reads is completely different though. Not sure if the swivel stick is labeled facial care on it....or if the facial items are either. That would be what I would try to match first. After that it would be a bit more YMMV either direction.

Question--
Can employees actually write on the coupon how much a product was for? Ex with the Tena-crossing out the $7 and writing $2.86.
I thought this wasn't allowed and the company will still reimburse them for the $7. Wondering how I could argue this...

idk, to me you have two versions of the coupon...one w/ restrictions, one w/o....so they must've realized "facial product" is rather vague and a weak descriptions. they should've reworded THIS to state "Cocoa Butter Formula Facial Range" or whatever product like they intended it for rather than include the two exclusions in tiny print.

This did not happened to me with the Tena IPs (of course I did get "O" one day and no "O" but FREE another day ) but with another coupon that was an actual value amount ($x.xx off of any) and not "UP TO $x.xx" amount like Tena. Cashier did take the full amount of the coupon as register prompts "if coupon amount is valid?" She wrote on each coupon her employee id, register # and date. She was told by higher up to do so. I did another transaction later and the other cashier did not do that. Just curious if writings on coupon cause any issue for reimbursement?

Personally I don't consider lotion a facial item, unless it is specifically labeled as such, probably because I don't like hand/body lotions on my face. As Purple stated, most of the time "facial" is always used on the more expensive items in a product line.
Really just depends on how comfortable you are with the wording and stretching the uses.

urlhasbeenblocked, imho, unfortunately i think this is going boil down to a gender situation and why you think it's vague. it's not your fault. it's just b/c you are a guy. most if not all women know that the 1.47 trial size lotion is not for your face. body lotion is just too thick, heavy and/or greasy most of the time to use on your face. it could even be detrimental and cause you to break out.
this situation is just like that joel on extreme couponing buying pads w/ wings and having no clue what the wings are for.
but luckily for us, on palmer's website they list what they consider their facial and lip products are if you have any questions-
* Cocoa Butter Formula Daily Facial Lotion
* Cocoa Butter Formula Night Renewal Cream
* Cocoa Butter Formula Gentle Daily Cleanser
* Cocoa Butter Formula Gentle Exfoliating Facial Scrub
* Cocoa Butter Formula Line Smoothing Eye Cream
* Cocoa Butter Formula Eventone Fade Cream
* Cocoa Butter Formula Daily Calming Facial Lotion
* Cocoa Butter Formula Daily Cleansing Gel
* Cocoa Butter Formula Rejuvenating Facial Serum
* Cocoa Butter Formula Purifying Mask
* Cocoa Butter Formula Dark Chocolate & Cherry Lip Butter
* Cocoa Butter Formula Dark Chocolate & Peppermint Lip Butter
* Cocoa Butter Formula Medicated Lip Butter
* Cocoa Butter Formula Moisturizing Lip Balm w/ SPF 15
* Cocoa Butter Formula Swivel Stick (excluded by the coupon)
* Cocoa Butter Formula Swivel Stick®with SPF 30 (excluded by the coupon)
the product on your facebook page is listed as a *body care product* in the *daily* subcategory on palmer's website-
Cocoa Butter Formula
http://www.palmers.com/product/detail.php?ID=23&SID=1&SUB=268
some key words that are gendered on the packaging would be *heals & softens ROUGH, dry skin*. women do not say they have rough skin on their face, or if they did, they would never describe it as such. they would probably say *chapped* or something to that effect. rough would describe knees, elbows and heels, etc.

First of all, isn't there a little tub that is 97 cents at WM that would be 1.03 in O, instead of 53 cents O?
Second of all, when I was thinking of using that Q on the cheaper stuff at CVS, one of the reasons that I did not actually try it was because I thought it meant stuff that said "facial" on it like the stuff in the image and so it wasn't meant for it. I think that it's unclear enough that it should work, and it's the companies fault for making it not clear, though, so I would not say somebody is "wrong" for trying it.

I can't remember where this came up but a couple of other credible people had mentioned hearing rumors of a new WM coupon policy coming out (and I had heard it from one of the few people I've met at WM that seemed somewhat reliable). I happened to go to the comsumerist today for the first time in a long time and saw this article:
http://consumerist.com/2012/02/fearing-extreme-couponers-some-stores-are-changing-their-policies.html
Hopefully linking to it is OK, but it is an article about what stores are doing to limit EC shelf-clearing and the relevant part (for us) says this:
Stores are taking note: at places like Kroger and Wal-Mart, the number of coupons that can be used in one transaction is being limited, and other policies shorten expiration dates ... Walmart didn't comment on the specific changes they'll be making, but Kroger says they want to enforce the rules to keep shelves from going bare.
So it seems like SOMETHING is coming. The article also insinuates that stores lose money because of properly used coupons, which is something that I would think the consumerist would understand, but it's been going downhill pretty hard for years (why I've looked at it maybe twice in the last year).

Attention Rogue Valley couponers!!! Your help is desperately needed. Our Grace Baptist Mission Team is collecting trial or travel sizes for homeless outreach in the Medford, Grants Pass and Rogue River areas. Apparently their supply closets are running very low. Please contact me if you have donations. We need shampoo, body wash, soap, toothpaste, wipes, toothbrushes and anything else you would like to give us for the homeless children in our area. We will be donating all items to Hearts with a Mission and Maslow Project. Please PM me if you can donate something for pickup, or drop it off at one of those places. Your donations will be greatly appreciated!
If you can direct me to some great deals this week I would appreciate it. I've been working full time and going to school full time so I haven't been able to keep up with all the deals lately :(
