I'm finding that the exercises are too easy and I'm not noticing any change at all in my body. I've been using that thing for about a month now.

 Mine seems to be working for me.

But my goal is different than others. Most people are buying it to lose weight, but I'm looking to gain. 20 pounds to be exact. So far I gained 10+ pounds woohoo.

I have a cousin whose been using it as well, and he lost 11 pounds so far. So It's more of a self-awareness of what you eat (more than anything). Since I got the Wii Fit my eating habits have changed

TRUEfoe merely uses Wii Fit as a scale and exercises daily. I think he's lost about 15 pounds thus far. He does seem to enjoy the Step Aerobics. The charts are a good motivator.

Wait... someone with the moniker flatman needs to lose weight? Sounds like you need to change your name instead!

How many people are still using Wii-Fit at all? Over 60% of Japanese in a recent survey said they had stopped using it.

Youre trying to build muscle mass using Wii Fit?

I'm just using it to lose maybe 5 pounds and build more muscle. I've only lost 2 pounds in the past month and that is probably because I've been playing a lot of beach volleyball.

The only exercises that I can actually feel working are the Plank and the Push ups. Everything else doesn't feel like it is doing anything at all.

I use it for 45 minutes a day about five days a week. I do the yoga, strength, and aerobic work outs. I don't waste my time on the balance games.

How long did it take you to lose 15 lbs?

True dat!

Here's an exercise technique that some of you without Wii's can use but might not know. If you want to burn more calories with your non-Wii systems, play them while standing. Believe it or not, the simple act of standing will help you burn calories. I first read about that a while back in Popular Science but here's a webpage that talks about that same study. http://www.sawf.org/newedit/edit11262007/health.asp Of course, one of the most basic things the Wii/Wii-Fit makes you do is stand while playing.

I lost 7lbs in a month and a half but with summer here, Ive been biking and walking in lieu of fitting. I expect to use it more during the colder months and I am sure more programs will be out for it.

THis guy did mostly strength exercises for 30-60 minutes a day for 41 days straight to lose 15 pounds. I guess I'm doing too much Yoga.

There are some really useless exercises on there though. Like the rowing squats, and the leg lifts. You'd have to do those for a half an hour to get any use out of those.

Yeah, I expect to get even more when I go find a bike to ride. Damn it slickdeals, find me a bicycle deal.

i am sure if you do it for tons all the time and change your diet it helps a lot
but my diet is already good so the only thing it would change is activity and let's face it most of the exercises are not very difficult

the closest it gets to aerobic exercises (which are the kind that burn fat) is the punching bag and the stair stepping and both of those are much too easy/slow.

i guess it might be good at getting you balanced or whatever but getting you fit? no.

i do not regret my purchase but i am disappointed with it.
not as useful as i thought and not as fun either.

The Wii Fit board is only about 2 inches off the ground so it's hard to get a work out with the aerobic exercises. I guess you can always put in on a stand.
