PLEASE READ MY POST BEFORE YOU GIVE IT THE THUMBS DOWN!!!
Now that I have your attention!
It really bothers me that every time I see somebody post a new thread about Greenfield it immediately earns a thumbs down rating. Those of us who like Greenfield (and I'm now one of them) need a place where we can post our finds without being flamed.
With that being said, please don't use this thread as a place to whine about how much you hate Greenfield. I know most of you hate Greenfield. There's another thread which seems to be dedicated to Greenfield complaints. Please post your concerns in that thread and let the rest of us limit this thread to the PTs, Invokes, and decent surveys that we find.
FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO AREN'T FAMILIAR WITH GREENFIELD, HERE IS SOME BACKGROUND INFO:
Years ago, Greenfield Online was a great survey site. IIRC, it was actually the first "big" survey site. Greenfield thought an awful lot of themselves and eventually went downhill because of it. They stopped paying on most of their surveys. Worse yet, the ones which did pay would seemingly gather all the data that they needed (over 5-15 minutes), then post a DNQ message! Most of us got fed up with Greenfield and stopped doing their surveys.
I didn't do anything with Greenfield for about 2-3 years, but about a month ago somebody posted a thread here indicating that they changed and seemed to be better now. I decided to give them another chance and I have to agree with her...they are much better now.
Sure, there are still a LOT of "sweepstakes entry only" surveys, but it's no different than SurveySpot. Since most of you love SS, I'll make my comparisons to that company.
Like SS, most of Greenfield's surveys you will want to DNQ yourself at the first question (or just exit out if you don't like to DNQ yourself). If you think it looks like it might be a PT (e.g., 5-15 minutes estimated time and it's about food, pets, or household items), then give it a few minutes to feel it out before you DNQ yourself. Similar to SS, you can normally tell if an Invoke is involved because it will either tell you upfront that it's a 60+ minute survey *or* you'll get some questions early on about your operating system, graphics, etc.
Some of the Greenfield surveys pay pretty well now. They are, on average, the same or $1.00 less than the same surveys on SS. They have a lot of PTs. Their Invokes pay the same, or $5 less, than SS. Watch out for the Greenfield instant invokes...they try to pay you $5 for a 60-75 minute Invoke...those ones are ripoffs!
Greenfield pays MUCH faster than SS. It takes 4-6 weeks for most surveys on SS to post. It takes 2-3 weeks on average for Greenfield.
Overall, I still like SS better, but I no longer hate Greenfield. I've probably earned somewhere between $75 and $100 in the past month from Greenfield, plus a few PTs.
Now let's all play nice here...if you don't like Greenfield, then please post your concerns in the other thread and leave this one for the "Heads Up" posts.

POSTED BY PRINCESS_SPOCK:
I didn't catch the survey # (sorry!!), but it's a *5* minute survey, which they normally never have; it says nothing about a product test when you click it, and doesn't reveal itself as a product test early in the survey like the last one did, but it's about cleaning products, and after a few questions it offers a product test.

I had been getting very fed up with Greenfield until today. I've started maybe 100 surveys since joining a couple months ago, and NEVER made it through a single one.
Today I got an Invoke for this Thursday (a website study). It's supposed to be $20 for 75 minutes. Like you said, mahgobbi, less than most of the SS Invokes, but I'll take it!!!

OP said "Greenfield pays MUCH faster than SS. It takes 4-6 weeks for most surveys on SS to post. It takes 2-3 weeks on average for Greenfield."
It may take 2-3 weeks for the funds to appear in your GF acct, but it still takes 6-8 weeks, at least to even get to your PayPal acct. after you redeem. If you request a check, plan on waiting 3 months or more for payment.
I have been with GF since 1998 and I have not seen any improvements with them except that they offer PayPal, however, they still do not pay quickly at all with that. So it is not much of an improvement.
Not TC'n here, but just stating the facts. I am extremely selective when doing their surveys. Most of them are not worth it at all. If you get into the IA's, they are good - if you don't mind waiting months for payment. GF has the slowest payment process in the history of all mankind.
Also, their IA's used to pay alot more. $50 and up. Now they wanna do like $20 and $30 ones. I dunno why the survey companies are paying out less for those now. I guess they are keeping a bigger chunk of the payment for themselves since so many people are joining the panels now since they are all posted on all these forums.

i like greenfield too,i did a focus group for$ 20 a while ago and kept checking my account for the payment and they told me at 1st they couldn't find it.When i emailed them once more to tell them i'd be canceling all of a sudden they found the survey and gave me the credit,so write down all activity especially if yo do a 2 hour focus gruop and are entitled to a big payout.Otherwisse i like that theyadded paypal. Thanks

Like I said in the first post, every thread somebody starts about Greenfield turns into nothing but posts about why people don't like them. Can't you just post this stuff in the other threads and let those of us who what to do Greenfield surveys have a place to post the survey details without having to weed through complaints?
FWIW, I cashed out $12 and it posted to my Paypal in about a week. My second cashout (bigger) is still pending, but it's only been about 6-8 days. SurveySpot is a lot slower and nobody clutters the SS thread with massive complaints. ALL companies are paying less for Invokes now because they know they can still find people to do them. Invokes used to pay $30 - $50 for 60-minutes. Now they are either paying $20-$30 for 60-minutes, or $30-$40 for 75 minutes. GF pays in the same range as the other companies for them.
Trust me, I'm not in love with this company. In fact, I hated it until this past month, but so far I'm happy with the improvements.
Now PLEASE can't everybody take the "I hate GF" discussion to the other threads and leave this one for us to post survey details?

I like them :)
As I have stated elsewhere, I am not counting on this money to pay my bills, so I don't really care if it takes awhile to have it credited--and they have credited me for everything up til about four weeks ago--those transactions are still pending.
But, they send lots of surveys--I think I've cashed out for about 155. since February. Most of that is from Invoke but I have had payments from $3-$10, as well.
I start every survey but duck out of a few of them: long-winded surveys about cars, insurance, investments. mostly. I use the money to help pay for my beading habit--I make jewelry aside from my regular work :)

I am pretty sure that since this is "The Official Greenfield Thread" anyone can post their experiences, wether good or bad, along with any new developments such as surveys, PT's and IA's. Saying to only post the good about it is like having a discussion about cancer and highlighting the fact that you will get lots of time off work, have to do less housework, and can legally smoke weed, but leaving out the fact that it is a terminal illness. I don't think there are any threads dedicated to the good or bad of a particular topic/company. It all goes in one place.

15 minute survey on beauty products, which took about 12 minutes. I kept doing it for no $$ because it was a body wash survey and lately there have been a LOT of body wash PTs going around.
Sure enough, I got the screen at the end asking me to test the product. It was a VERY GOOD body wash that I really, really, wanted!
Then I clicked the final screen to give my name and address, and I got:
Thank You for Responding to this Survey.
The maximum number of responses in this category is reached
and we have to stop collecting the responses from you on this survey.
Thank you again for your time!

Heads up on survey # 1002811a for "Hardware". It listed as sweeps-only, but leads to an instant Invoke survey on a home-improvement type product. Of course, you have to both qualify AND be available immediately to do the Invoke.

They haven't collected all of the surveys they needed yet for that study. When it "closes" and the study is complete, they will credit it to your account. I have some in my account that still say "project open" from over a year ago. But they usually close within a few weeks to a month. Some take longer though.

That is ridiculous beyond words. A year ago IA's paid $75,80,90.
Who in their right mind is gonna do an IA for $5 .. or any survey over like 15-20 minutes for that matter.
That's just like the ones they send out saying it's a 25 min survey for $2 or 45 min for $1. Yea right. They can suck it. They are insane.

It all depends when you request pmt as to how fast it will be. They do them in batches. So, one time you might get it rather quickly if you request close to the batch date, and other times it will take longer. I had 3 pmts go in PayPal today. One was from a month ago, one was from 3 weeks ago and the last was just from last week. It all just depends on where you hit them in their cycle.

how long does it usually take for your account to show that you participated in an invoke (the 75 minute kind)...does it only show up after your payment has posted (in 4 to 6 weeks)? I did one yesterday and it's not there.

Check the site and complete the surveys selectively. I know you said you are new to the survey sites, so here are some pointers...
When there is no cash award offered (which is most of the surveys), you'll want to DNQ yourself right away (age usually works ;) ) UNLESS the survey is estimated at 15 minutes or less *and* deals with food, consumer topics, shopping, etc. These sometimes lead to PTs. If it's under 15 minutes but deals with things like finances, cars, movies, etc. then DNQ. If it's a 5 minute or less survey I always do it, no matter what the topic is...sometimes those ones lead to special forum invites with rewards.

If it was really $2 for a half hour I'd never do them. Check out my posts...I almost always say how long they *really* take, which is generally 1/4 to 1/3 the estimated time. I 30-minute estimated survey is usually more like 10 minutes. In the past 30 days I've had $59 post to my account from this company (only one $25 Invoke included in that). I have a lot more than that still pending (surveys plus two Invokes @ $25 and $35). That's more than I made at any other company this month.

No, what I mean is that most people incur a fee every time they accept a payment via paypal, but you won't be charged a fee this time.

They were having some sort of trouble last night. I kept trying to load a $3 Food survey (and IME $3 Food surveys are very often cereal PTs). It wouldn't load. How do you keep track of all your paid surveys? When they dont come in your email do you just copy paste and save? I just wing it and hope they pay me, I have a hard time keeping up with all of it. When I have multiple surveys going at once...

A select group of panelists will be invited to participate in an interactive online survey hosted by our partner, Invoke Solutions. Those chosen will be asked to interact online with both a moderator (discussion leader) and other participants. If you show up on time and complete the interactive survey, you will earn a $30 guaranteed payment.
I forgot to copy the study details before I started, but the survey had an estimated time of 90 minutes and no payment (which is usually a good indication that it will be an Invoke). The screener took 5 minutes and I *think* the topic of the Invoke has to do with eBay or buying and selling online in general
Invoke is Tuesday 8/12 at 7pm CST

If you're referring to the $30 "Help Page" one, I did it.
On average, it'll take about 2 weeks to credit to your account, then 1-2 weeks after you request a withdrawal before you receive payment.
This isn't set in stone though. I did an Invoke for GF a few weeks ago which credited to my account less than 12 hours after it ended, then they added the funds to my Paypal the very next day. It was my fastest experience ever.

I often go for 5 or ten mins..or more..then my segment is full..or I get a sweeps entry for the effort...With PTs and stuff said to be offered thru this thread, I say oh maybe I'll give it anouther shot...in the end they give no money, no points, just a sweeps entry for a drawing once a month...and they give hundreds of these entries a day..just not good odds for me..good luck to others though ..I thought that maybe they changed..it seems like the same old company to me...BTW they send me two or three surveys a day...just tired of trying

I got my very 1st "instant invoke" today. It wasn't the usual $20-$25, naturally, it was just $5. And then I got some weird connection errors, although I was able to answer every question. But THEN, after I finished the invoke, I clicked the final link, which took me to Greenfield... and told me that I hadn't qualified for the "survey," after I'd done the entire survey and the full invoke. So, now I have to start emailing, trying to see if I've been credited; thank goodness I took screen caps!!

This issue is still unresolved, despite MANY emails to both Invoke and Greenfield (most of which the latter has simply ignored); Invoke says that my "contribution" somehow disqualified me from being paid, and to ask Greenfield... and Greenfield appears to not understand the difference between a survey and an Invoke session, and is trying to brush me off with vague answers about why the CLIENT might have disqualified me rather than actually checking into it.
It's anybody's guess as to how this will end, but either way I'm going to wait for my pending surveys to be paid and then cash out; I'm not going through THIS again.
Be warned; Greenfield might try to cheat you out of the $ you were promised for completing an Invoke, and their member support is AWFUL.

I would never have done a 60-minute survey fo so little pay, but with all the phone PTs this week I thought I'd be the guinea pig on this one...it looked like it had potential to me because I never get surveys which don't pay in flat dollar amounts...the "$2.95" was weird.
Anyway, it did NOT lead to a PT, but it only took 20 minutes, so it wasn't as much of a waste of time as it could have been.

Actually, it is. Over one half of the surveys which claim to be 60 minutes are actually 5 minute screeners for a 60-minute Invoke. The 60-minute Invokes generally pay $20 - $30.
Start the survey and if you don't have an Invoke invite within 5 minutes, then quit.

You need to check with them, because this company is the fastest, BY FAR, of every other survey company out there right now. I've had Invokes credit to my account as quickly as one day after I took it. I've never had one take longer than 2 weeks. And once you request payment, it also takes anywhere from one day to two weeks. Greenfield used to be horribly slow, but now they are the fastest company out there.

I had to threaten to start CALLING Greenfield to get them to email me on this issue; in total contrast to the previous email, they assured me that of course I'll get paid along with everyone. When I pointed out that both their system and Invoke support had said I was DISqualified, and to please actually LOOK at my account rather than giving pat answers, they wrote back and said I WASN'T getting paid because I'd been disqualified and hadn't taken "the survey"... despite all the screen caps I've sent them to prove otherwise.
Now, I'm trying to get them to see that there's a PROBLEM here, rather than my being some kook trying to get paid for a survey I didn't take... I can't WAIT to be finished with them!!!!!!!!!!!!

heads up...it's way LONGER then 5 minutes...I thought maybe it was my DSL connection but they showed me a lot of movie previews and even with instant uploading of the videos, it would still be longer than 5 minutes.it's been like 25 minutes and I am still taking this.
for $1. I will be emailing them about this one

i wish you could pick the ones you want to do and skip the ones you dont want. I am tired of getting 10 beverage surveys in a row.
For the ones u don't wanna do, just click Start, then back, it should have a different survey for you.

Ok fine I wont bash but then point me to a thread where I can post my experience and let people see what they have done to me? You can reach me via AIM Hit A Blunt420 as I may not remember to check this thread every day lol. I hope you give me a curtesy IM as I was respectfull to your wishes of not bashing your founded survey site.

Dude, that SUCKS. I'm sorry  I can understand that when trying to get a certain demographic, race can be important but I'm of the opinion if it's that important it should be asked in the beginning. I've had that happen to me once and since then I've been really leery of surveys that DON"T ask my demos up front.
Asking demos at the end is actually a sound thing to do. the reason is people do not want to share "personal" details without knowing the person before. think about a person you just met, would you ask how old are you? what is your sexual orientation etc ? You won't and they won't answer most probably. The same thing is true with the surveys when you ask the demos up front people either do not answer or lie, so that's why the surveys ask for demos after the questions when the participants formed a positive feeling toward the survey.
Now actually demo things should be controlled by the survey companies as they already have our information. If the researcher asks for certain group they must be the ones that receive the survey but unfortunately most survey companies just email the surveys to all of the participants.

Did anyone do an instant Invoke about a new Fedex site?
