It appears to me that you HAVE to refer a friend AND that friend has to click the link and give their address (and refer a friend). If you read the email that is sent to your friend, it says if they don't claim their shirt, then you don't get your shirt either.

I am a small geek and though my buddies work for WoW, I do not play. Yes, I have a WarHammer tattoo, but what does that mean? We own our home, and it's not even in the same towns as our mothers. I code, therefore I am!

I hear that dude, I used to wear medium because I liked baggy clothing and thought I couldn't wear small...wore Large and it was like a house on me.
