I'm amazed that some resellers don't yet possess a digital scale. Got mine off of fleabay for $20 shipped over 2 yrs ago and it is VERY precise so no need to spend a lot of $.

The empty game box thing is relatively common. Happenned to me personally on a copy of Need for Speed for 360. A foreign buyer asked me to remove the game cases to save on shipping. I opened the factory sealed package and it was empty. Took it back to store for an exchange. I've seen other people in the store complaining of empty dvds or games also. I suppose it happens everytime some guy in packaing decides he wants a game or movie.

just got back from target in stroudsburg, pa

Walked in at 8:05, there was no line, a couple of people were already walking out with fits, and consoles.

Was able to purchase 2 Fits, but only 1 MK, and system according to the Rep.

Looks like they had about 20 or so Fits, still stacked behind the register.

I was like 6th at my Target in Wheaton, IL at 7:35 AM, first few people got there at 6 AM:eek: Line was getting long and there was at least 25 people at opening but most people got the Fit as they were plentiful as well as MK and Wii Console (not as much but few were buying those except for resellers)....So, they definitely had A LOT more Fits this time around but still not enough to exceed Demand. Btw, I rushed over to the 2nd locale, Fits were OOS, so I grabbed MK and Console.

2 stops!!! i had another target to go to, but i was to tired i barely slept last night from the excitement of the hunt, freaking crazy!!!:lol: , i want to go to Tru but i'm so freaking tired!!!

Got 4 Fits working with the family today. All the Targets sold out of Fits in the first half hour. They still have plenty of Wiis and probably will for the rest of the day. 2/3 local TRUs sold all of thier stuff on Friday. I hope all these new Wii buyers will help bump the Fit prices.

I am thinking stores are gonna have wiis in stock for weeks now, after seeing every target store get like 40-70 and no one buying them. Then you have to think about bestbuy, circuit city, toysrus all having them as well.

one of my TRU actually has it posted that this thursday they will have Fit's... I thought it was a fluke but since you are in OH and I am in PA the whole regional market thing I have heard sound more fact than rumor.

the only thing that has me slightly concerned is in my neck of the woods when Fit's hit TRU they come in 20 or more and last week lingered more than a day before OOS.

being observant to the Fit buyers today... not all were resellers.. I would venture maybe 1/3rd were, the rest were first time buyers (I guess this by the accessories they were buying for the FIT). The resellers were all asking/buying the max allowed, no extra's, texting/checking the web and when the sale was complete all you saw was dust as they flew out of the store. The non resellers, telling stories, lingering, buying all the accessories and getting into small talk with the staff.

the boldest guy I saw showed up with a crew, purchased first then told the clerk the next 2 guys were "using" his card so he can get target points. Cool, when the clerk asked the other 2 what they wanted.. you could see the deer in headlights look followed by whatever the leader wants.. didn't help the buyer was Asian and the crew was not and the crew didn't touch a single item.

Wife and MIL got 4 Fits and 4 MKs today. I was on a golf weekend..but they did good. At the last massive Wii release from Target I got a bunch and moved them OK..but dodnt have them pick any up.

Hopefully Target hasnt killed it for the resellers. Mines had 30 fits/MKs and 100 consoles.

They didnt enforce any limits on consoles but one per customer for the Fits/MK.

Over 100 people in line when Target opened but after they gave out all tickets for Fits half the people left.

I guess Ill have 90 days to hang on and see what happens with prices.

They must have had a full stock room and put their overflow out every morning during the week.. Who knew.. It was nuts and they sold out within an hour... Lots of multiple buys for everyone.. Oh, and they had very few Karts..

I get the same spiel from TRU.. after they pause I ask IF they want to hear my experience with thier "protection plan".. 99% of the time, they tell me they know it sucks.

BB tries the same but I just shut them down.. GS I ask them why they are $20+ more than TRU and BB (that shuts them up fast).

My personal favorite with TRU is pushing the batteries and the TRU credit card, I asked one clerk does anyone "bite" on the TRU CC.. she told me yes, but she has yet to see one person get approved since Xmas time.

In my neck of the woods, most targets still have Wii's in stock by the end of this day, but not a lot left. Except for the 2 Targets - Fields Ertle and Tylersville that both got 120 Consoles each. Route 4 Target was the last Target to run out of MK.

Most stores are starting to catch on when you use gift cards to pay for your purchase (especially if you bring a crew with you 4-5 ppl).I would suggest that if you have a crew, esp. during the holiday season to divide the group into 3 and 2's so that it would be less obvious. I am especially pissed that the sales people are starting to think that we might be causing some kind of fraud because all of us were using Target Gift Cards, btw, same thing happened 2 weeks ago at Meijers, we were given a hard time at some stores as well as TRU.

1 person from a Target store even asked me if I had even purchased a Wii from another store ? Man... as if this is any of their business....

Sent husband to Target for MKs late this morning.... he comes home from one store with *8* and a $40 GC. :eek: Since they were through with the morning avalanche and still had some left, he was cheeky and asked if he could have 2. The two young men working said "as many as you want" which to his mind was 8!

At store opening the manager was pushing the Target CC with the 10% one-day coupon... with the plea that a new customer only needed charge $1 on the Target card and the balance could be on any other card (eg BlueCash and that said customer could walk over to Customer Service, pay off that dollar and cancel in a few days! :eek: Now that I know this, I may end up getting one of the red devils on a day that I could hit every Target (long story, today wasn't the day). There was a huge push to get people to buy extra games and accessories as well as the warranties. Most of the many checkers who'd been drafted in at 8 am looked decidedly hung over and tired. It was some kind of weird BF prequel. BF this year is going to be savage if the economy and the dollar keep trending down.

being observant to the Fit buyers today... not all were resellers.. I would venture maybe 1/3rd were, the rest were first time buyers (I guess this by the accessories they were buying for the FIT). The resellers were all asking/buying the max allowed, no extra's, texting/checking the web and when the sale was complete all you saw was dust as they flew out of the store. The non resellers, telling stories, lingering, buying all the accessories and getting into small talk with the staff.

the boldest guy I saw showed up with a crew, purchased first then told the clerk the next 2 guys were "using" his card so he can get target points. Cool, when the clerk asked the other 2 what they wanted.. you could see the deer in headlights look followed by whatever the leader wants.. didn't help the buyer was Asian and the crew was not and the crew didn't touch a single item.


Oh, and TRU is shameless selling their protection plans stating the Fits have "pressure sensitivity and calibration issues".. The manager was sitting behind his 3 clones ringing us up making sure they pushed the protection plans.. It was funny listening to the teenagers selling these plans to the moms in the store... Stuttering and getting their spiel mixed up but the moms caved in almost every time at $12.99 a pop..

I get the same spiel from TRU.. after they pause I ask IF they want to hear my experience with thier "protection plan".. 99% of the time, they tell me they know it sucks.

BB tries the same but I just shut them down.. GS I ask them why they are $20+ more than TRU and BB (that shuts them up fast).

I got 18 fits, and too many wiis and karts to count. And I only got into a fight with one security guard. My fit stash is up to over 70 now. I don't know if I should sell and book about a $35 or $40 average profit, or hold for potential long term gains (or long term evaporation of any gains). Fit is definetely brining out the non-huslter non-gamer types in the lines. Where is the fit market going? I suppose its anyone's guess.

My TRU is even pushing magazine subscriptions now! After you slide through your credit card, a message on the screen asks if you want to try a "free" subscription to Sports Illustrated or Time Magazine. You can't even get to the next screen until you answer Yes or No.:shake:

I noticed that too when I got my receipt. I walked back into Target and checked the shelf price - it was still $9.99. I walked up to the Customer Service counter and told the guy I had been charged a price different from the shelf price. He calls back to Electronics and they tell him the price is $14.99. I said - that's not what your shelf price says! He walks all the way back to Electronics with me, checked it out, then walks back to Customer Service Desk and refunds $5.00 each on 6 Mario Karts that I had purchased from 3 different Target stores.

NO 10% coupon, here is when I regreated the most loosing my coupon as I was planning to use wife's today and could have scores mutiples additional consoles. I only got 1 because of no discount, but the store has +100, 44 fits, and a lot of MKs. Fits were OOS with people in line and some left empty handed, 1 per customer. Plenty of consoles but didn't get more because no coupon available :( .. after the line was over they sold me 6 extra MKs and told me to come by later they would sell me more if they still have them, not sure if I'll be getting more, the $5 coupon is pushing me hard to get them :-D.

What I would suggest is that you ask your buyer to email PayPal and basically say they tried to apply the coupon and it wouldn't work. I've had success getting Paypal to retroactively apply a coupon that I couldn't enter during a transaction, but was tied to my e-mail address. Otherwise, whether you hold the buyer to the transaction is up to you.

I ordered about 7 wheels last friday and was ordering another batch today (around 6 am EST) when they ran OOS after I put my 3rd order so only was able to order 9 (16 total). They where in stock again for a few mins at about 9:50 am and since then no more available. Hopefully they'll come back soon. Consoles and MKs are a waste of time and resources in my opinion unless you have the capital to hoard consoles until Oct/Nov.

I have my defaults set to DSR but for some reason, this ONE delivery did not go out DSR. I've double checked all the others.

I called FedEx the day BEFORE the package was to be delivered and asked for DSR, only to be told that it couldn't be done post-shipment.

Because PP checked online status and there is no DSR, they have refunded the buyer -- even though he left me positive feedback on eBay and there is delivery confirmation by the driver, just not a signature.

FedEx has also previously left items without signature that were clearly marked as DSR. I'm in the middle of one claim with them where they say that their driver or a warehouse person probably stole the goods. The only reason I'm able to claim FedEx is that the package disappeared on their watch AND I insured it.

I have had numerous argument on the CL forums with people about this. They consider it scalping. The best advice I can give you is to not list a price in your ad. Tell the buyer to call you for a price. It usually stays on longer.

Yeah there are some hater hippie types who watch CL for people charging too much in their opinion. Before I started flipping game systems I sold a surround sound system for more than buy.com was selling it for. Some moron called up just to complain about the asking price. Even though i was throwing in additional equipment - speaker stands. Some people dont' understand now the capitalist free enterpise economy benefits them. It makes a comfortable life without any common sense possible. These people should have to wait in a Wii Fit style line just to buy bread and toilet paper like the soviet communists did before the colapse of their economy. Ok, I decided to give auctiva a quick test to reduce some minimal cost of litings scheduling and it seems quicker to list multiples also. After I imported some of my listings and scheduled them went to bed :-).

For my surprise today after I was checking how were the listings doing I just found that all my listings have been put on WITHOUT the special additional surcharge for Hawaii, Puerto Rico and Alaska!.. I was able to change a couple of them because still no bids on them but the remaining eBay won't let me already.

Went back to check what I did wrong and it seems like auctiva does not support that option? I was wondering may be one of you guys with auctiva experience could tell me if there is an option like that because I cannot finf it :(.

Has anyone tried posting Fits on craigslist (bay area) lately? It gets flagged within 5 minutes. Im curious if its other users flagging the postings or if its Craigslist banning the sale of Fits?

Yeaph .. is not bad considering amazon has not come with any yet. I'm surprised they have not released since everyone seems to have them now. I got about 25 on the weekend from Target with the 10% coupon and the $5 gift card each which made it a killer deal for me, but at $50 I would have definitly pulled the trigger also again. If you try Target I think they still have the $5 gift card, I got 4 extra yesteday and got the gift cards which will make it also below $50 but that was in a store which does not open on sundays and are suppose to have sunday's deals on mondays. Not sure about today tough but a quick call should solve the question.

I have shipped several MK and extra wheel via medial mail also with no issue. Only 1 shpping was getting my buyer sending me messages all the time because it took about 10 days to rearch from NY to CA but I was in top of it all the time with him checking every day and sending updates for him, also when visiting the postal office I asked to get extra details and it finally got delivered. Got possitive feedback and 5 starts DSR from the buyer with only the extra comment it took 10 days but not because of may fault and he was very happy with the transaction and packing :)

Yeah there are some hater hippie types who watch CL for people charging too much in their opinion. Before I started flipping game systems I sold a surround sound system for more than buy.com was selling it for. Some moron called up just to complain about the asking price. Even though i was throwing in additional equipment - speaker stands. Some people dont' understand now the capitalist free enterpise economy benefits them. It makes a comfortable life without any common sense possible. These people should have to wait in a Wii Fit style line just to buy bread and toilet paper like the soviet communists did before the colapse of their economy. By flagging listings solely based on their oppinion of price they are depriving the would be buyer the chance to buy. Essencially stealing this opportunity from society as a whole. Socialism and price controls do not work, never have never will.

Wii FITS, Consoles, MK - I sent Greg a picture of the Mountain of Wii's at Bloomingdale, IL BB via Blacberry....grabbed 2 Fits at 2 BB, might try to go in to same store and grab 1 more and head to customer service desk.

Got the pic. A cool stylish mountain of Fits and Systems. Nice that they are not hiding the stuff like some of the more shady locations. One trick is to pay for your first fit at customer service. Then go ask for one and let them talk you into the warranty. You might also say that your friend, dad, sister or whatever wanted one and told you to get the warranty with it, or act like you are not sure about the warranty and let them ram it into you, then they will take the bait and you get extra units - the warranty can be returned within 30 days at any BB store.

Target tracker is the most reliable local tracker we have available on the net. I find it's pretty spot on but occasionally is delayed by a few minutes to hours.

BTW, I also ordered a zebra 2844 off ebay last night. I am tired of using my inkjet for this. Also, I switched machines it was connected to and either a coincidence or not, the 4 fits we gave fedex yesterday were all exceptioned with "bar code unreadable, replaced", despite it being scanned just fine at drop off prior to being given receipts.

Anyone else using a 2844 that I can talk to? Do you use the ship manager software since fedex says it won't work via usb with the online ship manager at fedex.com? Any other issues or "gotchas" using the device?

I know its only tuesday, but does anyone know the B&M situation for fits this weekend? I am thinking of golf plans, but profit has to come first.

So Christmas shopping starts picking up mid october. That gives Nintendo 10 weeks to meet demand for Fits, Mario Karts, and Wiis. Just from thinking about that I think all 3 of these are going to be HOT HOT because there is no way that they will or have been able to produce enough of any of these to stay on shelves more than 4 days. What do you all think?

I was able to score 4 Fits from 2 BB stores :woot: Scored 3 from Bloomingdale, IL store...got 1, was about to leave parking lot but then saw a guy come out with 2 Fits ! So, of course, went back in and grabbed 2 myself...I think they were talking about "how many can people buy blah blah blah" so that might be the end of that but I got out unscathed...phew.

C'mon, in the case of MK, its a piece of plastic and a disc. I'm sure they could easily produce enough of these to meet demand even now. Seems to be Nintendo's business model to just throw enough product out there to keep people interested. You are going to think something is alot cooler if you have to work hard to get it or pay 2X retail for it on ebay. Your kids' faces are going to light up that much more at Christmas if you are able to score the insanely hard to get game when all of their friends have to live without.

Not sure about the initial receipt they give you when opening the account, but from last weekend experience at least the after 1000 point card works just fine. My wife and I (which do not use same last name on any ID or CC), were using her 10% coupon to purchase on both cards. One of the cashiers at some point took the card from me and put in the machine thinking he had to retain it, after I told him I was suppose to be able to use it the whole day I took it back and because he saw the female name he just asked what name was on the card to make sure, I just gave my wife's name and he gave back the card without hesitation. The most of the time they even don't look, you just extend the card and the scan it quickly.

I had a listing rest. for 3 days 2 weeks ago and listed freely on 2 other accounts.

they were pre-existing accounts though, not new accounts. Ebay usually states that you are not permitted to create a new account while your suspended/restricted but says nothing about listing under pre-existing accounts.

Just grabbed six from BB. If you are near one check it out. There was about ten on the shelf. Only grabbed six because my sons car seat took up all the room! Walked around the store with my son a bit and went back to get a couple more. They were gone of course. Decided to find the youngest cashier. No problem at all. The guy behind me even helped me put them in my cart! Be sure to check TRU tomorrow night and Thursday morning.

P.S. I found that if you play dumb like you dont know what you are doing, the BB staff will tell you what time they come in. An older lady told me they were in transit two days ago and to check Tuesday night/Wednesday morning.

ok so i had a question where is the profit coming from on MK's, if you sell them with a extra wheel, because I'm seeing most auctions end at around $80 and if you say $50 for the game + $10 for the wheel plus ebay/paypal and shipping cost it seems like you are losing money. Auctiva is worth it.. takes a bit to set up, but it is much more friendly than eBay's version and less prone to error's... Use eBay to research and Auctiva for placement. With the massive Target release tomorrow and friday are crap days to be listing (3 day and 5 day auctions). the 12 hour tick is not bad, the 24 hour tick is crappy... the 48 and 72 already have about 800 more auctions (normal is 300-400)

Question for the resellers here. I know this has been discussed before but just as a refresher, does FedEx pay for the E-Bay value or just our purchase price ? Is it hard to do a Fed Ex claim.

FedEx finally lost one of my Wii's but stated in the delivery status that it was delivered and someone from the delivery address signed for it. I called Fed Ex and they told me that the driver saw someone in the addressee's drive way and had them sign for it even though it was a direct signature. Something seems fishy there....

my understanding was that if you declare a value then they should cover that value in case of loss or what not, I use UPS so I'm not sure exactly how fed ex works

The way I see it I'm glad I'm making any money right now doing this because this is the slowest time of the year.

I'm not panicking as no one could have predicted that the Wii Console Market would have lasted THIS long "if" it was to collapse soon. I am, however, trying to keep a look-out for the nexy "hot" item...Plus, the Wii Fit should carry us past the holiday season at least for this year!

I'm not even talking about the wii market, I'm talking about the fit market. Also between the time I ordered from Amazon and received it, the going price for the PS3 dropped like 75-100 dollars and made it a terrible investment.

Since the pkg was "lost" they basically have to go by your Declared Value. The process is pretty straight-forward. You have to wait 10 days after the "incident" to officially file - you can do it ONLINE btw. They do ask for receipt but in my case, they just paid my DECLARED VALUE for my "lost" Dell laptop package. Check was in mail within a week of filing the claim.

You are not the only one :lol:, I almost had a panic atack 10 mins ago when one of my 14/4 was going for $255 just 5 mins before ending. I was literally debating between plugin the plug and take the hit (had the cancel listing page ready and my hand and finger ready the 'cancel bids' button) or just close the eyes and take the loss. Decided to be a grown up and take it seriously .. then it came back to live and 4 minutes later it ended $365 non-featured. Those were 5 mins in hell :lol: ... THIS IS CRAZY MARKET TODAY!

No significant profit, but at least not the first loss yet.

Picked up 35 consoles at Target today, could of grabbed another 20 but couldn't tie up that much capital. With the 90 day return policy I hope this will be a good investment for October. Since sunday I picked up close to 50. Let's see how it goes.....
