since self-promotion is not allowed and we have no way of verifying if it's your auction or not, please do not post any eBay auction links. this is a 4 point warning you do not want. - serra
Here is the link to the original thread (http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?t=678154) - the one that started it all.

Reseller FAQ (ask these questions in the forum and get smacked around!):
EBay Fees Calculator[I]
www.ebcalc.com
This is how eBay will calculate your Final Value Fee if your item sells for less than $1000 and you do not receive any special discount. Note that the FVF is based on the auction's ending price excluding any S&H Charges:
8.75% of the first $25 + 3.50% of the remaining amount exceeding $25
Example: Sale Price $400
FVF = (.0875 * $25.00) + (.035 * $375.00) = ($2.19) + ( $13.13) = $15.32
[I]Shipping Recommendations
Where can I get boxes to ship stuff on the cheap? Try Walmart (24 hour stores are great for this at 4am)! Go to your local grocery store also and ask them to save boxes for you. You can just buy 18x12x12 boxes for under $3 for your bundle. Packing peanuts are the lightest filler but are hard to find for free. If you want to order 25 or more boxes at a time, you can get them from uline.com for around $1.50 each with shipping.
The Nintendo Wii also fits perfectly into the boxes that hold several reams of paper. These boxes can be found for FREE at any bank, office supply store, library, and any other location that prints paper on a regular basis. These boxes are sturdy but light and also work well in shipping bundled items. Be aware that when claiming damage insurance on shipping, the quality of your packing will come into question - for $400-$500 an inspector will probably come look at the package, so it may be worth both positive feedback and insurance protection to use good boxes.
What size of box to get? Considering that Nintendo ships the Wii with no other padding, you shouldn't need much either. You will want your box to be crush proof which means having packing material fill throughout the empty spaces. The Wii will fit perfectly in a box with 15"Lx10"Hx6"D dimensions with 1" to spare on the depth. If you are going to pack a nunchuk you will need a minimum of 15x10x8, as they are thick. Staples sells a 15x12x10 box that fits the Wii perfect on two sides, or you can use the extra space for padding all around. 15x10x10 gives you lots of bundle space, but these must be ordered, you won't find them at B&M stores.
Which shipper is best FedEx Ground consistently has cheaper rates and faster shipping times in comparison to UPS Ground (however eBay does not automatically calculate rates for FedEx). USPS priority mail is a fast 2-3 days anywhere which will get you glowing feedback, but it does not have tracking. Signature delivery is required for PayPal seller protection on items above $250 (signature is also required for FedEx when it is declared value for $500+) - without signature, a PayPal dispute is ripped out of your account and gone forever. The total shipping price for anywhere in the USA 48 contiguous ranges from $12-$18 FedEx (bundle shipping more), depending on the distance. FedEx insurance has reported to only pay the cost of the items, whereas UPS may pay the full auction value.
When should I list my Wii?
You should use the completed auction search and make up your own mind from past results. The biggest problem is that there are usually are several listings ending every minute and you don't want that much competition, it's better to list at a time when more people might be bidding, and less might be listing new Wiis. Don't use scheduled auctions, list your item at a random time. If we told you when we list, then YOU'D be competition!
For research, www.terapeak.com (http://slickdeals.net/?sduid=305707&t=678154&u2=http://www.terapeak.com) provides the most complete information for FREE on any item on eBay. Be sure to filter out extra items such as accessories or games to more accurately view the data on selling the Nintendo Wii. Timing your listing also makes a large difference on increasing your profit margin, thus it is also important to adjust the website to fit your timezone.
What is the difference between a Dutch Auction and a Multiple Item Auction Listing?
A true Dutch Auction, which gets its name from the Tulip auctions in the Netherlands is an auction that starts with a really high asking price. The price is then lowered incrementally until one person bids to end the auction. These types of auctions are effective for selling high priced items. For eBay purposes, Dutch Auction is used to refer to Multiple Item Ascending Auctions (listings with 2 or more items) in which the price starts low, at say $0.99, and then is bid up incrementally, ending with one winner purchasing multiple units or multiple winners purchasing a single unit each. The term 'Dutch Auction' is used to refer to both the true Dutch auctions as well as Multiple Item Ascending Auctions, thus there is often some confusion amongst individuals when the term is used.
Where do I get Wiis to sell?
You'll be looking hard! Keep these discussions to the Wii availability thread, unless the discussion is reseller-specific for some reason.

I paid $35 for business membership.. altough I have no business .. yet. No problem ordering on-line bu if you go to the store I think you need to show proof of bussines to claim your membership cards. I'm planning on visiting the store on the weekend, will see what happen, I think the worst case scenario will be enforced upgrade to personal/family membership which is $40. no big deal any way if you can get at least 1 or 2 on-line every other week you will make that back very easy.

Agree... I'll be returning all my consoles and just selling at a discount ... anyone interested? at least I can recover some money for gas :).
By the way, I got a super offer offer today from a new ebay user. $100 for a console, "take it or loose it" .. .haa .. and I had to end my item early otherwise he would not wait!... I should have considered that offer :lmao:

I love getting those offers. Or the ones that inform me my Wii is only selling for $100 with 6 hours to go, so they'll be nice and give me like $150

Is it just me, or has the eBay market slowed a bit?
It's to be expected since it is officially "summertime" / prime vacation time. Things will pick up in the fall, early Sept.

My favorites are those with the coupons... they have this eBay coupon that expires in X (hours or days) and they want me to give them a BIN price and end my auction early. I tell them to make me an offer and I will consider it. So far, every single one of them has wanted a BIN price below retail (for a bundle).
I use to take the time to explain that their offer was too low and why, but I got a few telling me that when I am not able to sell it, not to contact them!
Lately I just send "thanks for the generous offer, but I must pass at this time". Then promptly put them on my no-bid list to make sure they don't try to screw me.
I did have one... who threatened me with negative feedback if I didn't accept his offer
a noob as well, who said something like I should accept all reasonable offers and if I didn't I was a lousy seller and he would "teach me a lesson".

you can call and "try" to get a partial credit for the damage... the most I ever got was $25 bucks for banged up Wii's... depending on the CSR you may not even get anything.
Wii play's.. the same thing a few really beat to heck and back. only once did they "give me" one for free, all the other times it was you can return it for a new one.

I've had terrible buyers today. Out of 6 Fit auctions, 2 thought they won both a Wii and a Wii Fit. Another thought he won 2 Fits, since my auction has more than 1 Wii Fit picture in it. 2 haven't paid. 1 has paid no problem.
1 for 6. Ouch.

I have tried arguing with eBay earlier for 4 U in the 5/2 bundle and 2 P in the 14/4 bundle, but I was told if I want to include 4 U, then I should spell it "For You" and 2 P, I should spell it "Two People/Two Players". The sad part is, once they take down your listing, it is filed as a keyword spam violation and once you reach the max number of violations (depending on your powerseller status) you are suspended. Yeah, that's what I thought. eBay does not agree.

Bidders can opt out of receiving second-chance offers. So the $155 may be the third or fourth highest bidder.

the BB tracker is false - nevertells the truth about fits being in stock or not!
I disagree to a point.
I watch the BB tracker daily, and in my experience while it may show in stock you will NEVER get an honest answer from the store.
What I have found...
store 1 in stock
store 2 OOS
store 3 oos
store 4 in stock
store 5 in stock
a day later..
store 1 OOS and store 3 will be in stock
2 days later...
store 1 back in stock and store 5 goes OOS
after watching this pattern... I call those in stock and I hear the song and dance they don't have them... once they go OOS I call again.. surprisingly I get " we are OOS, we had them on (fill in a recent day)"
I have not figured out WHEN they put them out, but I am a believer they got them. I have seen the same thing with Mario Karts.. tracker in stock but the store SWEARS they don't have them. I went to a store and badgered them and they "found" 20 in the back room. so the tracker was on, they just don't tell the truth.

I agree.
This must be BB's week for Fits. The Target tracker is still not working so I went to the store and asked them to check local stock. They said 1 Target had 1 in stock. There are few BBs nearby that are "supposed" to have Fits today.

I don't like em. When I go to the store they always are to busy to help. There was one guy that was stacking the shelf and I ask him for a wii fit(in stock) and he didn't look too happy. Even when I call I am lucky if someone picks up.

Was your insurance too high? Why would they pull a listing for that?
It was $14 for a 14/4 bundle.
 And yea what is next. Ever figure out why they did that?
Sent email asking to consider that it is usually seller who has to deal with carrier or warranty when 'optional' insurance is paid and the cost is more than just recovering the money from the carrier, you have to go there, file for insurance, wait for money, etc. In the mean time to make the buyer happy you send replacement and so on. Waiting for their response. Will update if I get one. I tried to take it first thru eBay live for PS but they said they could not even see the item because of the removal.

Anyway found Target Wii Fit Tracker gives same BS like the Mario Kart Tracker did? ("Currently unavailable")
In other news, after I ordered some 12 Wii Plays, 6 nunchuks from Amazon to return to Target stores, I got an email from a guy in Amazon, sending an invitation for a corporate account? Any one has this kinda account, is it useful?

I just checked the BB tracker for the stores in my area and every single one shows they have Wii Fits available. It's the first time I've checked it in a while so I can't really say what kind of results it usually produces.

It will follow with a call, or two, or three  until you either call back or reply to the email. I replied the email saying that I'll take the time to review the info from the links  also told them they were calling my home number and I'm usually out all day long so preferred email as way of contact and they are cool with that :P
Some people here posted that if you are agressive buyer from hot items like Fits and Consoles from Amazon and get your account converted to business then you will be easily giving them info to cancel you. I have decided to play the Q & A game for a while and see what info I can get before accepting or declining the offer.

For those of you shipping with fed ex and also having a Sam's membership, its worth it to look into the discount on shipping you can get. I picked up a flyer at Sam's, went to the web link and signed up. It took a couple of weeks to kick in, but I'm seeing a difference in the cost of shipping fits & consoles. They sent me a packet that spelled out the discounts, different based on which fedex service you use, weight of package, zones, etc. Anyway, worth a look.
Also, all the conversation earlier about Ship Rush - is it worth adding to the Wiki what it is, how to do it, and the pros (and cons, if any), along with other tips & details? Just a thought....mostly because I really would like to know, but seems like good info to help out others too.

Corporate accounts the short version and this is cut and paste from my account executive
1) We do offer a Volume Discount Program, which begins once you purchase $50,000 in eligible product categories over the course of a year. Once your spend hits $50,000, we provide you a $1,500 credit to use at Amazon, plus a 3% discount on your orders through the remainder of your 12 month term. Let me know if you’re interested in enrolling in this program..
2) The main benefit of having a corporate account is having access to me as your Account Executive and to our Corporate Customer Service specialists for more comprehensive support.
3) The electronics items you have purchased are not eligible for the volume discount program, due to the fact that we carry thin to no margins on those products.
One big difference with having a corporate account is that you have access to a specialized group of representatives by phone. These are experienced, more senior representatives and that can quickly resolve any issues you encounter. Plus, you have access to my team of account executives to look at inventory and address other issues as they arise.
For me.. this was probably my downfall with AMZ. A new set of eye's looking at the volume and the purchases I was making.
The discount and bonuses do NOT apply to Wii, Wii play, nunchucks, Wii Fit's, PS3 or anything along the electronics line.
the "specialized" representatives.. I did not find any significant change, to be 100% honest I thought they were more rude and less helpful.
You will get email and calls once you sign up and purchase from your NON corporate account asking why you did not choose the corporate account for your 9 Wii purchase. So it is another level of AMZ watching over you.
On checkout it is an extra 2 steps, so in crunch time trying to get that extra 3 Wii's or Fit's the extra steps can cost you
in retrospect.. it was not worth anything and when I was having my battle with AMZ, this department, the account executive, specialized representatives did absolutely nothing. Corporate is an "extension" of your personal AMZ account, not a NEW account so if you have a problem with your personal account, the corporate side cannot assist you.
I hope this helps...

If you are low volume, Sam's is the way to go with the FedEx discount. If you ship I think more than 10 a month then there is no difference from a Sam's discount/eBay/Z-firm (ship rush) discount.
I got the sam's flyer and called and compared my present discount to Sam's and I was already getting the same if not better than Sam's.
I vaguely recall 20+% for express, 16% for ground/home
Bottom line it is based on volume, the higher the weekly/monthly volume the better the discount.

So far I got 8 and cleaning up the last few places as I type. Most got 6-10 per store. you may want to consider your local GS today.
Target and WM are reporting none for this week (???)
BB is as mentioned previously.. tracker shows positive, stores say negative (by phone), in person they so far (most of the stores are) telling me they have had them at some point since Sunday (which agrees with the tracker).
TRU is saying later this week
Sam's is reporting the same
Costco was suppose to hit today, now they are saying "any day" 2-6 days from the depot and they were at the depot on the 3rd.

ahh.. let the hoarding begin... now that makes sense.. my targets just give me dumb looks when I ask if it is going to be in an ad in the future. I don't rely on them for any future ad intel, the only B&M's I have that are accurate on future ad's are TRU.

This has been my biggest fear since last week after seeing them hold consoles at two stores and fits at one other store. The Electronics guy on Monday was telling me he was waiting to see what was in the ad and how he was "obligated" to hold stock until he knew what was coming up in the ad.
Almost two weeks of Target hoarding, not good at all... BTW - Didn't they take out the console tracker before the last sunday release of consoles? I think it was down for several days then.

i had to lower my price on CL from $140 to $130 to start getting any hits.
but im ok with puttin them on the bay for that margin.
$30-40 profit each is fine with me

if I was betting on this.. you ticked another reseller off and they complained about your auctions.
I had something similar to this happen to me not too long ago (not in the wii market either). Lost about a dozen auctions to someone complaining. I ended up with a 14 day suspension in the end too. While I never could prove it was another seller, eBay safety alluded to it.

So if no one reports the items they will stay there. Which means that those who have already been targeted and have had to "legitimize" their listing titles will probably be screwed by worst match, right? Anyone want to go on a reporting jihad?

No, to clean up all the nonsense such as the 4U and the intentional mispellings and level the playing field. If someone gets canceled for a particular offense then they should not let others do it too. Maybe we can make eBay realize that if we pay them for a service they should maintain it properly.

Been there done that. Send the stuff in electronically..if you can get it to go. The fax takes forever. Took me close to a week..mostly waiting on proof of delivery on my first go around.
I did this.. I got the "we no longer want to do business with you email" (plus we will hold your funds for 6 months). If the electronic (tif/jpeg) cannot be read clearly they will cancel your account. If you fax it in, the faxes actually go to a general fax where the supervisors sit. If you get a decent one, they will walk your fax into the resolution office for you. Beat's the heck out of electronic any day as those are seen first come, first serve.
this also came from my executive escalation manger that I now have on my account.

No, to clean up all the nonsense such as the 4U and the intentional mispellings and level the playing field. If someone gets canceled for a particular offense then they should not let others do it too. Maybe we can make eBay realize that if we pay them for a service they should maintain it properly.
I don't think you'll be proving a point to ebay by reporting other sellers, you'll just be making other resellers mad and possibly getting them suspended due to ebays poor best match system.
And WTF is up with the 1 5 2 auctions getting taken down? How is that title misleading?

I think your experience may not be indicitive of what normally happens. Ive had no problem calling in after sending the email and getting the escalation supervisor to look at it. With the faxes, theyve been backloged for days. Ive always gotten a reply from the electronic emails within 24 hours. They will not cancel your account just because they cant read a scan.
What was the reason given for the "we no longer want to do business with you"email.

as I have mentioned I have been in a ongoing battle with them. Been real good on keeping my orders low. One of my alternate accounts I have ordered a bunch of different things (including one item yesterday). today, I feel brave (stupid) and order 3 wii play and 3 nunchucks...
15 minutes later the account is closed and I get an email that states...
Greetings from Amazon.com.
This message is to inform you that we have closed your Amazon.com account.
We have taken this action because we found this account to be related to previously closed accounts. In addition, all open orders have been cancelled.
We are unable to discuss other accounts with you but please contact us should you have any other questions; we'd be glad to assist you.

Its a broken system. And, until they fix it, or a better alternative comes along, you just have to continue the cat and mouse game with them.
I truly believe they will take down almost any auction if it is reported. Its a truly unbelievable way to run a business, but they will be # 1 for the foreseeable future.

I had a guy once who didn't know there was a nunchuk included in the system box and thought the separate one in the packaging was the only 1 I sent him.
If that's not the case, you have to decide what is more important. $20 or not getting a negative feedback.

I definetely think there is either a seller with too much time in his hands or an over zealous user who is purging the system. I agree that it would suck to be a buyer in the current conditions. Regarding the BINs, I do think eBay gets more out of them especially if they don't sell which is common for new or greedy sellers.
Although they "review each listing" before canceling it I'm pretty sure they did not have time to look at all of the ones that were recently canceled.
So if eBay doesn't police its own system who will?
WHen they cancel your auctions, does ebay refund you ALL your listing fees (insertion + Featured fees)?
What if it was a BIN (multiple item) and you already sold a couple.
I did get the Featured Fees Refunded. I don't know what happens when you have already sold some though. I don't think they can cancel your existing sales just for a keyword violation...

Just a warning to Ebay Wii resllers:
I used to be a fairly big Wii reseller on Ebay(not any more), and I am pretty expierenced at what I do. So I do know what I am talking about.
I just had 2 Wii auctions removed for Search and Browse Manipulation
While I realize that in itself is NOT news, the specific reason for why they removed 1 of the 2 auctions will DEFINITELY come as a surprise to most Ebay Wii resellers. Here is part of the Email I received from Ebay Trust & Safety.
1 NEW NINTENDO WII Console System 5 Games 2 controllers
The listing was removed because it violated the eBay Search and Browse Manipulation policy. The violation occurred when you included the following information in your listing:
5 Games 2 controllers
(Auction includes 1 game disks, 1 wii remote and 1 nunchuk. Stating 5 games and 2 controllers is misleading.)
5 games
(You can state that each console includes 1 game disk, not 5 games)
Believe me, I was extremely pissed off, and just got off a 45 minute phone conversation with Trust & Safety. They told me that Ebay plans on pulling down ALL auctions that use 14 games, 5 games 2 controllers or 4 controllers in their auction title. They say it is misleading and screws with their algorithm. I told them they better be consistent in pulling down ALL auctions because as I currently view Wii auctions aprox 95% of all Wii auctions are currently in violation of this wording. He assured me they planned on doing so beginning with auctions time ending soonest. Told him good luck and I would follow up with him tomorrow. If any of you doubt what I say, please call Ebay Trust & Safety for yourself.

Thare187 thanks for the heads up on BB.....checked my market, called one early and said they had some (couldn't believe she said yes).....I went to that BB on my lunch break, no Fits to be found at the store. I purposely didn't go to the CSR area but I asked a young girl in the computer section if she could see if they had this item number in stock, didn't state what it was, just the item number, low and behold it said they had one left. THIS IS THE KEY: I looked at the screen with her and noticed another one nearby had one left and noted that another one is supposed to be receiving a huge shipment in the pipeline soon while the others none. Asked her how long it would take for the other store to get that shipment and she says a couple days. She mysteriously found that Fit in the store....went to the next one and the damn thing was locked up behind CSR area.............it's like Wii consoles and Fits are the only thing they're moving at BB..........

Wow. I know I'm biased but I just don't get it. What other type of customer is willing to buy more than 1 of a $95 or $265 dollar item? Isn't the purpose of a store to make as much as possible? Who gives a $#!+ who the money comes from?

Well .. I can confirm this .. Okay, looks like ebay is starting to try and implement the buy it now structure similar to amazon. Remember when the new ceo came in and started bitchin about how he hates the fact that ebay was like a flea market and want to change it to a more sturcture setting. I think the structured setting meant less auctions and more buy it now. Granted it sounds like if you change your title to only include like certain things they will let it go. How is 14 games wrong when indeed you get 1 disc with 5 games and 1 disc with 9 games? Are these people fcking idiots?
Well .. I can confirm this .. I see 2 outcomes from this:
A-like me, back in early January was the last time I sold a console on Ebay because of the best match crap, featured, and how Ebay forced everyone to go to free shipping + featured+fancy algorithm titles thus improving Ebay's bottom line and decreasing yours-I bailed and went to strictly CL for the consoles and won't sell them again on Ebay. (Did any of you tell them that their best match system made you post this in the auction title to survive???) Many other resellers right now who went right on through with the BM and free shipping, having their listings pulled right now, they will get irritated to the point and being that the profit margin is so low right now on them, they'll quit too..
B Enough resellers will have it up to here with this game right now and their listings getting pulled compounded with Best Match, free shipping, featured fees, everyone will go back to the old ways of listing, no featured, $35.00 shipping and having New Nintendo Wii Console in their title.....or New Nintendo Wii Console Wii Play Nunchuk........at least this is the outcome that I hope for for all of you-take the market back!!!!!
Edit: The only scary thing about Ebay and their dealings with MS Live search is that it is looking like Ebay will transform this sucker into a buy it now only and obviously as people begin to learn about MS Live and the discount, they all will want free shipping auctions to take full advantage of the discount.

cant argue that.
ebay is a giant. plain and simple.
what other site can let you reach as many people willing to pay over retail for a product because they have to get it right now!
the are the #1 site for "hard to find items"
if something is sold out in the store after a few tries, the vast majority of people automatically think "i'll go to ebay".
There is no point in fighting them or yelling at them, they are #1 and they know it.
they can do whatever the eff they want and get away with it.
you'll wind up changing because they make you.
as i look right now, if you search for "wii fit" on the bay,
the first page and a half is full of buy-it-nows
you dont even see an auction until 1/2 way down the 2nd page.
game over folks. now, its down to the suckers who undercut everyone else and list a buy-it-now for $125 with free shipping so they can be at the top of the list if people sort by price.

I've seen the guy's listings. You'll notice there is no guarantee of delivery date. If he really has 100 Fits, and sells through them.... well, power to him. If he doesn't have them in hand, he'll have a lot of unhappy buyers.

cant argue that.
ebay is a giant. plain and simple.
what other site can let you reach as many people willing to pay over retail for a product because they have to get it right now!
the are the #1 site for "hard to find items"
if something is sold out in the store after a few tries, the vast majority of people automatically think "i'll go to ebay".
There is no point in fighting them or yelling at them, they are #1 and they know it.
they can do whatever the eff they want and get away with it.
you'll wind up changing because they make you.
as i look right now, if you search for "wii fit" on the bay,
the first page and a half is full of buy-it-nows
you dont even see an auction until 1/2 way down the 2nd page.
game over folks. now, its down to the suckers who undercut everyone else and list a buy-it-now for $125 with free shipping so they can be at the top of the list if people sort by price.
if prices go to 125.00 shipping then i am sure alot of resellers will bail out of reselling wiis.christmas time will be coming and it won't matter how we list they will be buying

"As of right now we have quite a few on back-order, but do not have an exact date of arrival. This is one of the most high demand items for the Nintendo Wii.

14/4 is effectively killed if ebay insists on everyone using Two instead of 2 because of thier incompetence at hiring an incompetent guy to design and implement the highly flawed Best Match crap.
The fact that they did not foresee the effects of multiple keywords back during the 52525252525252 fiasco pretty much sums everything up. They do not know what the hell they are doing.

Now get this:lol:  , I took about 1-2 hours redesigning my titles/subtitles, considering shipping and insurance. Then created my templates and put them in the scheduled listings, calles PS CS 1-888 numbers and ask them to 'certify' that my listings are not in violation of any rule... their answer ..
"we cannot give you 100% warranty of that.. it looks better and we think is ok, but cannot warranty it won't be removed again!".
Can you belive this people?
In other words.. go ahead, list them and you will find out! :vomit:
The only clarification I got was that it is considered a violation any optional/required insurance over $2.50 or so if shipping via UPS and $4.50 or so if shipping via USPS.. their argument, it is against the law to overcharge insurance, so, watch out for that. And, be carefull with shipping charges, they are also starting to look at that as an excuse!

Thats bull. It costs way more than $4.50 for Insurance from USPS. If I remember correctly, on a $430 bundle, it should cost about $6 for insurance.

Lol, i would say anything over 10 dollars might be a problem, but wtf is ebay thinking. Canceling every listing for like the most ridiculous reason. Insurance on usps is like 2.10 for every 100 dollars. So on a 400 dollar package you will have to pay at least 8.40 in insurance. Ups is similar also.

I thought that also, then I discovered a guy in my metro with 700 Fits already sold on ebay. I suspect that he might be the Amazon hacker. Some people are managing to get large qty of Fits somehow. Personally I was able to get 33 today, but I did it the hard way - blood, sweat, and tears (that means gas money, friends money, and stressing in the stores BB and GS).
But about that OH 300 Fit guy, he DOESN'T really have them. Think about it like this. If YOU really had them would you put "pre-order" in your listing? His "pre-orders" are probably not even ebay legal without firm receipts from stores, and most stores aren't even doing preorders any more. The pre-order part of his listing isn't very prominent. And when the average consumer who either didn't read or didn't understand "pre-order" starts to wonder where their item is they are going to complain. So even if all 300 of his fits sold, he would probably have a huge problem on his hands. He's at risk and someone should report him, b/c ebay obviously doesn't watch anything until its reported.

This 14/4/1/5/2P quagmire is a HUGE deal and here's why. As we all know eBay is run like a little mom and pop business with 2 or 3 programmers in india coding for the entire site. Even though they burn through billions of dollars of our fee money, all that goes toward the managements fancy San Jose homes and 911's in the garage. If you visit the silicon valley area you will see what I'm talking about. For every Camaro and Mustage you see in middle America there is a Porsche in northern CA. Anyway that being the case, the management can't be bother to watch the site, they can't even be bothered to watch the results of one of, if not the #1 search term on the site - Wii. Thus only the 5/2's and 14/4's THAT GET REPORTED are going to get pulled. The ones that are not reported will remain up and close. And even if all of them are reported they won't get around to all of them before they close. Similarly b/c of best match, the 5/2/4/2/1/x/y/p/777's or whatever are going to get prominent placement. If you go with the new NO NUMBERS rules you will not get prominent placement. Thus the first page will be dominated by violations. Ebay has been in supposed 'crack down #2" mode for a good 48 hours. Yet, a current search still yields a plethora of violating number combos (such as the 5 2 with a 14 4 tacked on at the end of the title, an obvious violation). Yesterday my top seller manager's supervisor told me that the reason mine got pulled was b/c of either the 5+9 or the 2 P, of course he couldn't tell me which. He went on to say that I better play it safe with the numbers or risk more trouble. Then he went on to say "THIS IS AN EXAMPLE OF AN ACCEPTABLE TITLE" THEN HE PROCEEDED TO READ A TYPICAL 1/5/2 WORD FOR WORD. Of course he didn't understand that I am selling primarily 14/4 and it would be confusing to describe it as a 5/2. But anyway HE EXPLICITLY STATED THAT A 5/2 IS ACCEPTABLE. Now of course 5/2 are BEING PULLED. The take away is that a top seller account manager's surpervisor is clueless and gave completely WRONG information. This person is 1 layer of beuraucracy higher than a top seller account manager, and he was allegedly in a half-day meeting on Tuesday with trust and safety regarding this issue. Bottom line - NO ONE IS IN CONTROL at eBay. As has been noted on here NINTENDO writes "9 Games" right on the box of the Wii Play. Nintendo also writes "CONTROLLER" right on the front packaging of the nunchuk. Now the brilliant minds in trust and safety are saying we can't use the exact same words as the manufacturer to describe our items. eBay has been able to survive profitably because of the first mover advantage and the network effect. These HUGE advantages are being steadily wilted away by gross mismanagement. Ebay is likely the worst managed company of any large internet or consumer company - and this is from someone who not only makes a living on the site, but currently also has a significant stock position in eBay. Bottom line is that under the current regime there is a chance you are going to get screwed with restriction or a suspension if you play the numbers and there is a chance you are going to get screwed if you don't use any numbers. The sad thing is that even if you make money or break even you are still loosing something due to mismanagement at ebay, becuase you would have made more or done better than break even, or lost less. Either way you could loose bad - welcome to eBay.

He's at risk and someone should report him, b/c ebay obviously doesn't watch anything until its reported.
report him to ebay.every one should then they will check him out

Is Circuit City the only confirmed Fits for Sunday?
Kansas City stores had 2 each last time. Not sure if it will be worth to stand in line for 1around here.

I haven't. I have heard that even if they have them they are holding for the 20th. Calling doesn't hurt though so why not try anyway?

No use calling if there are none in the national supply chain. That's the beauty of all of us sharing information here.
By the way, I had a GS employee at the busiest mall and most likely busiest GS store in the area say he expected Fits nearly every day this week. Was able to snag one yesterday while running an errand for the wife.

Somethings is up with the Fit supply chain. Tuesday I picked a dozen. Yesterday about 33. All from GS and BB, and I wasn't trying super hard. Then you got these people listing huge qty multiples on ebay. They are stll flying off shelves super fast, so I am confident in them. I suspect this is a typical transitory wave of product from Nintendo.

ugh.. I had someone contact for a wii I had on craigslist for $300, He mentioned that someone in the same area had one listed for 250 also new in box (saw them post after me, don't know what the story is there) . I said my price was 300 and he was welcome to contact the other seller. He agreed to drive 20 minutes and meet me. Took everything out of the box and then sat there staring at it for a few minutes and then asked to pay 250.
NO the price we agreed to was 300.
But someone else has it listed for 250.
Well that someone else is not me.
he eventually walked away. He had a cadillac escalade for crying out loud. 50 dollar shouldn't be a big deal and you just wasted your time and my time.
/end rant
