Your input as a panelist is valuable to us. Your responses are anonymous and only used in combined form with other responses to aid in the newspaper's development work.

Why join a panel?

As a registered member of a panel for a newspaper, magazine or website, you are able to voice your opinion about the content. It doesn't matter if you read the newspaper in question frequently or infrequently, are a subscriber or not, or how often you visit a particular site. All responses are useful and help to develop content.

How does it work?

When it's time for a survey to begin, you'll receive an email with a link to the survey. You click your way through the questions, all the while earning award points that you can later redeem for various products or services. The questionnaires can be kept short, thanks to the fact that you have already provided your background information (at the time of registration) . Participation is voluntary and you participate only when you have the time and desire to do so.

Awards?

Under the"My Points" heading on the reader panel page there is a summary that shows how many surveys you have taken part in and how many points you have earned. On this page you can also claim the awards you are entitled to once you have earned a sufficient number of points.

Joining a panel

In order to join a panel, you need to register and fill in a form providing us with your background information. All the information you provide is confidential and will not be released to any third party

I've been doing this for my local paper for a while and the surveys consist of 2 pictures of an article or ad from the paper. They ask if I read the article or ad and my opinion of the article or ad.

As for the pay structure, it's pathetic. So far I've taken 25 surveys and gotten 375 points total, I need 500 to cash out for a $5 Target GC. As soon as I get enough points to cash out, I'm done.

Other payouts available:
$10 Harris-Teeter grocery Gift Card for 1000 points
$15 Wilco gas Gift Card for 1500 points
$20 (unknown) Gift Card for 2000 points
