They are usually looking for a percentage of each demographic group so maybe white for your sex and your age was already filled up.I think thats how it works

yea, they told me that there would be more to come, and they couldnt do anything about it, since the error wasnt on them, it was the server site they couldnt do anything, It was on different types of liquor.

Lightspeed Panel Survey #17628
You are invited to participate in a new Lightspeed Panel survey!
Name: Beverage Survey #17628
Time: 20 minutes
Lightspeed Points: 150
It was maybe 5-10 minutes until you qualify or DNQ and then seemed LONG after that. At least 20 minutes total, probably more like 20 + the beginning 5 or so minutes to qualify.
They said they send you a palm pilot to track beverages during a 2 week study. You'll be asked to return the stuff following the study. Tracking dates are Aug 3 - 16th
Here's a full list of the dates they gave me though:
Materials Ship - July 29th
Receive materials - July 31st
Set-up & testing time - August 1st
2 week study - Aug 3rd - 16th
Ship materials back - Aug 18th

Anyone heard of ConsumerSay? I had a survey from Lightspeed about it and this was in the description:
As a member of ConsumerSay, you will join thousands of consumers in a highly influential nationwide research study about consumer behavior and spending. Just 5 to 10 minutes of your time will earn you a reward worth $20!
By providing answers to surveys about a wide range of topics and allowing us to anonymously track your actual spending, you can help influence the business decisions of companies that provide the products and services you use.
Earn $20 For Registering
Once you complete the registration process, you will receive a reward worth $20. In order to receive your prize, you must complete the short registration form, register your financial statements with our Accounts Registration Portal, and confirm your email address. As a member, you will be eligible to participate in survey opportunities and earn rewards, including entries into ConsumerSay prize drawings for cash or gift certificates.
Uh, I don't think so.

I joined consumer say a few months after I joined lightspeed. I entered a CC into there site that I hardly ever used and looked at the site once in a while. When I signed up, it asked me what kind of reward I wanted for signing up. I chose an Amazon GC worth $20, and a few weeks later it showed up in my email inbox. I've also done a few other surveys from them and have been paid. Hope this helps.
Oh, since then, I have deleted my CC from there site.

It's part of the business model of many survey sites to delay paying you for as long as possible... and then to NOT pay on some surveys hoping that people won't notice, or that if they do they won't have the records and proof to fight for what they're owed, or even care enough to try for just a few dollars.
They generally won't do anything but ask you to be patient if it's been less than 6 WEEKS since you took a survey. If you're beyond the 6 weeks without having been credited, on Monday you can call them
877-721-5118
The lady that handles member issues is very nice; she should be able to see what the status is of all your surveys. If you have records, it will greatly simplify this process. If not, start keeping them immediately; take a screen cap of the completion page of EVERY survey, give each one a descriptive name, and keep them in a folder... and back up that folder religiously to a different machine, hard drive, or online storage.
Good luck!!

I was checking my email earlier today and noticed something about an affiliate status. Opened it up and to my surprise I was finally accepted for their Affiliate program. :) Don't worry, I'm not going to post any links, I'm just astonished that I was finally accepted. Opinion Survey #80248 75
So I just did a survey where at the end they asked me to join a year long study:
Based on your answers so far, we would like to invite you to join a group of consumers who will be sharing their telecommunication services (wireless phone, landline phone, cable/dish TV, and internet) account information with our research team to help improve telecommunication services in your area. If you decide to participate, just by sharing your telecommunication services account information, you can qualify to receive up to $27 over the next year: $17 when you enroll and your account information has been confirmed, and $10 at the end of your first year of participation.
To participate, you agree to allow xxxx, a service of The xxxx and the world's largest independent provider of syndicated consumer research to the telecommunication market, to view your online bills for research purposes only. (Note that this research was previously conducted by xxxxx, but xxx has recently changed their name to xxxx.)
We will ask that you provide the account login and password to your telecommunications account(s) through a secured site on the following screen. We assure you the site is secure and that no one will be able to access your information given on the following screen. (Note the 's' after 'http' in the browser and the security lock in the lower right-hand corner of the screen. These two items indicate a secure site.) Be assured that xxxxxxx has a privacy policy that ensures that your personal account information will not disclosed to clients for direct marketing purposes and that your telecommunication services will not be affected.
Membership in the study will have no impact on your ability to access your telecommunication service accounts online or through paper billing.
Please note: You must successfully provide your online billing login and password (it must be the primary line, if you are using a family or shared plan) in the following steps to be eligible for the incentives. If you don't know or forgot your online billing login and password information, an opportunity to obtain this information will be provided on the following screens.
You must read and agree to our privacy policy and end-user terms. Click here to read our privacy policy and end-user terms.
This statement is in the company's privacy policy though:
J. Data storage, transfers and security. We may store the personal details we hold about you for as long as needed for the market research purposes indicated in this policy.
To participate, you agree to allow Nielsen Mobile, a service of The Nielsen Company and the world's largest independent provider of syndicated consumer research to the telecommunication market, to view your online bills for research purposes only. (Note that this research was previously conducted by Telephia, but Telephia has recently changed their name to Nielsen Mobile.)
We will ask that you provide the account login and password to your telecommunications account(s) through a secured site on the following screen. We assure you the site is secure and that no one will be able to access your information given on the following screen. (Note the 's' after 'http' in the browser and the security lock in the lower right-hand corner of the screen. These two items indicate a secure site.) Be assured that Nielsen Mobile has a privacy policy that ensures that your personal account information will not disclosed to clients for direct marketing purposes and that your telecommunication services will not be affected.

I got the Snack Study for 400 points. Then $50 (I think) for using a Palm Pilot they provide, keeping a diary that way I guess and then returning the Palm Pilot back to them. I think it said if I'm chosen for the 3rd part there will be a $5 final survey.
I've seen this Snack Food thing mentioned in the past and was wondering how much payment for it was when others did it.

You're better off than I am...I took that survey and did not receive ANY points for it, even though I'd gotten all the way through, including the demographics survey and the "how did you like this survey" part at the end. Took me over an hour, and the email said it would take 30 minutes!
I've fired off an email, too. No response on my end yet, either.
A question: has anyone ever received a response from them via email? I've reported bugs before and haven't. I'm wondering if I should call the phone number, though it seems like overkill just for not receiving points for one 150-point survey. (But, darn it, that survey took a lot of time and effort. :-( )

yeah, I had trouble too... I logged in again and it worked. I liked this one, I think it was probably the most fun Invoke I've done.

Just got this email this morning:
As a valued member of the Lightspeed Panel, you have been selected to join ConsumerSay, a highly influential nationwide study.
Registration Length: 5 to 7 minutes
Reward: Your choice of a $20 check from Lightspeed Research, 2,000 Lightspeed Points, or a $20 Amazon gift certificate
And I got this message when I said there were no credit cards in my household:
Thank you for your interest. Please note that you have NOT successfully completed your registration. You must successfully register at least [one / two] more credit card accounts for us to confirm your registration and to award you your incentive prize worth $20.
The want really want credit card information for this survey. Here's what they have to say about it:
Your Privacy
During this registration, we will ask you to provide your household's credit card information. Please be assured that your credit card account(s) will will not be charged or altered in any way as a result of your participation on ConsumerSay. Registering these accounts simply authorizes secure collection of monthly information from those accounts for research purposes only. Your specific credit card information will be collected through an infrastructure that ensures the highest level of security with a world-class network, data, and physical security system.
So I'm going to pass on finishing my registration. That $20 would be nice, but I'm not comfortable sharing that information.

I've "just said no" to this study from about 5 different survey companies now. Could have had $100 in incentives, but I also could have possibly had thousands in fraudulent charges!

I've gotten that offered from Survey Spot too. I just don't understand how this company thinks people would be comfortable sharing that information for $20? I mean I'm in big time need of money, but I'm not that needy to fork over that kind of information to them!

If you still have your Fed Ex receipt call the phone # on it and they will let you know if they received it or not. If You don't have it pm me and I will look for mine .. How much was your GC for? I figured if they hadn't received it I would have heard from them. I'm not sure where the receipt is, I just stuck the return label on the envelope and dropped it in the local Fed-Ex's after-hours dropbox that they have outside their main location here.
I hope my GC (if I'm getting one) hasn't come yet, because if it has then that means someone stole it.....:(

Here's a little tip that you should keep in mind if you want to redeem your points. If you are like me and want to cash out your points to amazon, instead of waiting to get like 550 points for a $5 gift card, you can redeem 110 points for $1 amazon. If you look in the reward section for the $1 amazon mp3 code, redeem that and even though the reward says "MP3", it still works as a regular amazon.com gift certificate good for everything on their site, not just mp3's

Both -- it was a visa gift card from RebatesHQ, and it looks exactly the same as the $10 card they give you along with the palm pilot. The tracking number says it was for a "Market Research Final Payment Program" promotion. Very strange, but i'm sure this is from the palm pilot study because I have never once submitted a rebate anywhere! :bounce:

I called again and got an actual person named Noah. He said it can take a month or more to hear back from "clients" because they are "so slow" and that may be why I haven't heard back from them regarding my GC since my first call in the beginning of Dec. He tried to say that others who took the same survey and etc. may not have gotten their GC's yet either, and I put a stop to that and told him I KNEW other people had gotten their GC's. He asked how I knew and I told him I used google and saw on different forums where people said they did the same study and got their cards.
I called everyday last week and each time I got sent to people's voicemails and not one person ever called back to say they got any of the messages or that they were looking into things.
This is just insanity and makes me not want to do any more of their surveys.

Here's the responsse I just got by e-mail. I didn't realize I was that late getting that Palm Pilot back, they DID get it back though. As I said I could see them denying me if it never got returned, but real life got in the way of me getting it back to them. I wish they had at least let me know I was never going to get paid. I imput all the snack stuff I ate for the allotted time and they get to use my data for free?
The reply I just got......
Dear ********,
Thank you for your recent contact regarding your final incentive for taking part in the Snack Food Study.
As you may be aware, all surveys are designed with certain guidelines in mind in order to gather accurate and complete information in a timely manner from the participant. If the participant does not meet these requirements, we must eliminate that data from our findings. This is done to provide a complete and accurate portrayal of the average consumers’ beverage consumption habits to our clients so they can take this information and use it to provide consumers with products that they use and like.
After researching your records, I found that you had returned the palm outside the specified timeframe as stated in the “Please Read First” letter that was included in your kit. FedEx records show that they picked up your package on 10/20/09 and it arrived here on 10/22/09. Had you shipped the kit during the week following your recording period, the week of 9/27/09 you would have met all the qualifications for final payment and we would have been able to utilize the data you recorded in the palm.
Therefore; based on this criteria, it is our determination that you did not fully complete this study as we had requested and you are not eligible for the final incentive.
Please let me know if you have further questions.
Sincerely,
Sam Carti
Itrac Help Desk
My reply to them....
Sam,
I was late returning the Palm Pilot because my Mom was in the hospital and returning your Palm Pilot during that time slipped my mind due to issues going on. I think using this excuse is a very shoddy way to try and get out of paying people who participated in this study. I am sorry the Palm Pilot got returned late, but it DID get returned. I could fully understand you denying my Gift Card if I had never returned the Palm Pilot to you, in this case I did return it and you all received it.

Just got the link sent in email- but its true, every night its the same link sent to you. They just only let you access it after 7pm. If you compare the links sent everyday they are all the same link with your ID number in it.
