Hmmm...which rice is free? I looked at all the varieties last night and couldn't find anything less than $2!

Also, does anyone know off the top of their head how much the cheapest package of Stayfree is? The Safeway coupon book has $1/1, starts with a '5', so just wondering if I could get anything free/cheap with that or not.

Dunno if they have it for Stayfree, but I know Kotex and Always have tiny liners packages that are $1.29 or $1.59 depending on the store. Good idea, though, I have a few of those Safeway Q books too.

Can you use both a B1G1 and $1 off on two items? Target thread has stacy b1g1 coupons and there are $1 off one coupons that would double.

It depends on what coupon code for BOGO you have. If code 01 for bogo then you can use other coupon for that item. If the Bogo Q code 14 then you cannot use other $ off Q. Hope that help

Success Boil-in-Bag White Rice. Box contains 2 bags. On the shelf, it is marked 2/$3. I've been to a few different stores and only one didn't carry that size (Jefferson Davis Highway) UPC 0 17400 10017 9

Something I just remembered: Shoppers carries Muir Glen tomatoes, right? They must be very close to free after the $1 IP.

Here's what I picked up yesterday:

Uncle Ben's Brown Rice was $1.99, so the doubled $1.00 off coupon (2/21) made it FREE.
Dole Canned Pineapple was $1.00/can, so I used a $1.00/3 coupon (1/24) which doubled, making them only .33 each.
Reach Dental Floss was $1.50, so the doubled $1.00 off coupon (3/7) made it FREE.
Scotch Brite Sponges were $1.09 each, and I had a $1.00/2 coupon (3/7) which doubled, making them only .09 each.
Act II Microwave Popcorn was marked for clearance at $1.45, so the .40 off coupon (2/28) tripled, making it only .25.
Wesson Oil was $2.99, and I had a $1.00 off coupon (from a mailer) that doubled, making it .99.
Reese's Dark Chocolate was .79, so the .55 off coupon (3/14) made it FREE.
Crest Kids' Toothbrush was $2.50, so with the doubled $1.00 off coupon (2/7), it was .50.
Oral-B Stages Toothpaste was $2.49, so the doubled $1.00 off coupon (2/7) made it .49.
Sure Deodorant (one particular variety) was marked for clearance at $2.20, so the doubled $1.00 off coupon (2/28) made it .20.
Dixie Napkins were $2.99 and I had $1.00/2 coupons (1/24), not fantastic but a lot less expensive than usual. There's a mail-in rebate (http://www.gp.com/everydayessentials/rebate.html) for $5 back when you buy $20 of participating Georgia-Pacific products.
Mission Tortillas were $2.79, and I had a $1.00 off coupon (3/7) that doubled, so .79.

I didn't hit the dairy/frozen aisles at all since I wasn't headed home. I'll go back again on Monday.

Thanks for everyone sharing what they're finding. Reps coming your way!

Hopefully I have some new matchups. I'm exhausted-bought 105 items, used 86 coupons and spent $55.54 with a savings of $154.12 (75%). I usually go for only free items but with doubles being so sparse, I figured I should stock up. Thanks to everyone for the matchups!

ny texas toast croutons $1.50 - $.50=free
kame ginger $1.98 - $1/1=free

So, so so many Health and beauty markdowns as mentioned earlier:

curel hand lotion $1.79 - $1/1=free (big bottle!)
jergens skin firming/tan lotion $3.74- $1/1=$1.74

Just in case anyone is going to try it.......the McCormick catalina (which is going on at HT) is NOT active at Shoppers. I bought 3 McCormick black pepper today with $1/1 tearpad cpns ($1.79 price, so free after $1/1 dbled) but didn't get the cat:( I know the machine was on because the customer in front of me (whose final total for her groceries was almost $200 and not a single coupon used! :omg: ) got some.

Oh  thanks ! I am taking a break from CVS for a while-- got too hard to roll my EBs every week, but I think I will mosey in for this deal. It works out to free with my Green bag tag getting scanned at every other store  I don't imagine I'll be able to find 21 at one place ;)

Quick question about CVS, can we scan those green tags more than once a day? I didn't think it would work....that would be great if we can!!

You can only scan the tag once per day at the same CVS. When you go to a different CVS it will scan again. HTH

Now, I'm a bit rusty when it comes to these types of CAT deals at Shoppers. Will this $25 be based on sale price or regular price?

Is it obvious...the packages that have the $1 off? Did you find any at Shoppers, or only Target? I went to shoppers this morning, but only to get Avitar and some free Yakasaba noodles. Didn't see much else that interested me. Was hoping Treasure cove would have been decent, but at $3.69 each...not willing to pay $1.69. (Wish someone had this on sale so I could price match because I love this cheese for my salads!)

The Arnold's coupon from the inserts from local papers here worked great. Used 4 this morning. One of them didn't ring up at $2 so on my return later, will get reimbursed for the bread which pays me back for my entire trip this morning.

Trident SuperPack Gum (or whatever it was called) - $1.99. Used $1 MQ
LifeSavers Gummies Rings/Strings was on clearance for $0.69. Used $0.50 printable (didn't double so had to have cashier do the top off to get the other .19 off for each)
Lipton Pureleaf Iced Tea (16 oz) - $1.00. Used $0.50 tearpad
French's Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce - $2.39. Used $1 MQ
Kool Aid Fizzers (or whatever it's called) - $2.19. Used $1 MQ

I bought (and got free) 4 Lawry's Marinades. Kicking myself as a CAT Ad came out saying a deal starts TOMORROW... Buy 2, Get $1 OYNO, Buy 3, Get $2 OYNO. Buy 4+, Get $3 OYNO. Ends 5/16.

Reese dark peanut butter cups - $.79 - $.55 = free (cashier had to manually input and he gave me overage)
New York Garlic Toast $2.50 - $.50 = $1
Activia $1.99 - $1/1 = free
Land o Lakes eggs $2.99 - $.50 = $1.50
OM lunchables - $2.29 - $1/1 = $.29 (best part is received a $1 ONYO cat - no info on cat as to details of offer, but I can tell you that I only purchased 1)

Some things I got that I haven't seen mentioned.

- McCormick Grillmates marinades (2 varieties were $1/ea) - $1/2 - FREE
- Renuzit Super Odor Neutralizer - $1/1 - FREE
- Dole Fruit Cup Crisp (new product) - $1/1 - .29/ea
- Sargento sliced cheese - $1/1 - $1/ea
- Bushs Baked Beans - $1/2 - $1/ea (not the best deal, but I needed them)
- Best Life Buttery Spread - $1/1 - .49/ea

No way in the world would I pay full price for those Dole thingies, and even .29/ea is pushing it. Far as I can tell, its one serving. You can either microwave it or eat it room temperature and its supposed to taste like a fruit crisp.

I briefly saw some other things to get, but I was on a quick run before church tonight, so I didn't have a lot of time. Hopefully I can get a couple more trips in before Sunday!

Just got back from a run... Nothing too exciting. I couldn't find the natural lays at the Fairfax store.- There are several displays everywhere and I found this in a very out of way display- none on the regular display Also, found the Thomas English muffin with the coupon inside,I tried one and it went through YMMV but the coupon is only good on the eat better and some other variety and they were not on sale. I bought

Ziploc bags $2 - $1/1 tearpad = free
Reynolds recycled foil $2.98 for 50 feet - $1/1 = $.98
Reese dark peanut butter cups - $.79 - $.55 = free (cashier had to manually input and he gave me overage)
New York Garlic Toast $2.50 - $.50 = $1
Activia $1.99 - $1/1 = free
Land o Lakes eggs $2.99 - $.50 = $1.50
OM lunchables - $2.29 - $1/1 = $.29 (best part is received a $1 ONYO cat - no info on cat as to details of offer, but I can tell you that I only purchased 1)

Some of the Thai Pavilion had peelies and they were like 2.39 - so $1/1 peelie - and it was 0.39 ( dont know what it tastes like tho')
Lots of peelies everywhere - keep a lookout for camoflaged(sp) peelies and tearpads - saw tresemme 0.50 cents TP

Arnolds bread was sold out.
Got some of the lunchable subs..and got all 4 $1 cats. (Watch for the soon to expire dates on the chicken motz. kind...expires in 3 days at the store I was at, so I had to buy other kinds.)

All the Lawry hantags are gone! There was about 20 plus as of yesterday and none today.

Also, I bought 4 Lawry's, but only got a $2 cat instead of a $3 cat. Not sure which of my lawry's did not count. I bought Buffalo BBQ, Szechuan Sweet and Sour BBQ, Tuscan Sun Dried tomoato, and Baja Chipotle. I guess I will be giving catalina a call.

Thanks for the update! Bummer that there are no more hangtags. I haven't been able to get there yet, but it looks like there are a few decent things to be found this time around.

One thing I remember from last time is Reach Floss being $1.49 and there is a $1 Q which makes it free if you need floss.

I also remember seeing a lot of the prices upped since the olden "Doubles every month" days. Bandaids were close to $3 whereas before there were a few varieties that were hovering around the $2 mark. Kinda disappointing but I guess it's routine.

Does anyone know if Coke or Dasani 20 oz products are on sale ? Or if you're heading to the store, can you do a physical price check? Sometimes the signs are wrong and there's that $1.00/2 tear pad for coke products and a Free Reeses wyb coke tearpad to go with it.

I would check on the Arnold's coupon. The ones I have are not valid in most of the east coast states and it does beep *or it did beep at self checkout* which is what made me read the terms.

The reason the Arnold Q beeps at SCO is because it's coded '000' for the family code, which means it will work for any Arnold product. These beep at SCO at Shoppers for some reason (not at Giant). Just another maddening thing about Shoppers SCO. :annoyed:

Can't find the Renuzits to get free though, gotta try another store I guess...

Got the last 3 in Centreville.

Wow, had the worst cashier ever and was at that store... Only my 2nd trip ever there. Cashier scanned some items (2 bags worth) then started looking at my coupons. Scrutinized them, moved them into a couple of piles, scanned ones that applied to those she scanned already, then would scan a couple more items, then look at the coupon piles. This went on for almost 5 minutes! Finally, I had enough and told her I wanted all of my coupons back and I was leaving. Manager came over and tried to take over. She scanned coupons from one pile with the cashier trying to butt in but was told to step away. I was then told my total which was about $25-28 more than I expected and said that there were other coupons that did not get scanned, but this was after she put all the coupons in a pile (scanned and unscanned) with no possible way of determining which was scanned or not. Again, I just asked for my coupons and to cancel the order. This was granted to me but before I left, the manager wanted another chance to scan all my items and coupons at another register. This worked out much better and was almost what I expected. I think I was still missing a couple coupons, but was content finally getting out of there. Manager said that 99% of the (other) employees there would have gotten me through much faster.

Definately missed being at the Gainesville store!

FYI - Something I learned from my favorite cashiers at the Gainesville store that I didn't know...

They will now accept Manufacturer Coupon Catalinas that print out at other stores. Must be for specific products. I guess because they can mail to the address listed and still get reimbursed.

They won't take the $ off of $$ or $ OYNO Cats though, which is what I asked about and got the above info.

Fair city? They have a bunch of nazis working that one 24/7. Too bad it usually has better variety and is restocked more quickly than the other one in my area.

Anyhow, I would suggest reporting to the manager before going to the AG. They were very responsive last time I had an issue with the cashier. Cashiers like that need a kick in the rear not a job.

Yup! I knew of a few good cashiers last year but had to go at specific times. When I'd go later than usual, I'd run into some real coupon-hating fools. I went once during doubles last month and ended up at SCO after hearing the lady in front of me get her Qs rejected for saying "DND" on them  I'm glad you've had better luck though !

No, it's the one on Richmond highway with Staples, CVS, home depot in the same complex. It started with cashier, then person that needed to key in to override who told the cashier that all the coupons, esp the doubling and tripling, was coming from his pocket. So then he said he isn't scanning anymore coupons because he doesn't want to pay for them. Then they suspended the transaction and took me to the manager at the front. who then said he hates coupons and never used them never will. I said it doesn't matter what you think becuase you are representing the store while working for them and they accept coupons.

I go there all the time. But they ALWAYS have problems with doubles and cats. The cashiers always scrutinize coupons and they are aftraid to scan IPs and call the manager or they just don't take them period. If I go to SCO, everything beeps no matter what the coupon is and then they act like you are doing something wrong if they don't scan. The only nice person is the Spanish girl, little chubby, who sits at the SCo, she is helpful, but not the males, esp a certain manager.

Oh that is terrible! Maybe they worked at Safeway at some point :lmao:

Anyhow, I apologize but I mistyped in my previous post. I meant to say go through corporate customer service, not the manager. WHen I wrote them an e-mail, they were very responsive, they called me the very next morning and were very concerned with the treatment I received. If this is how they routinely behave, they need a kick in the rear to remind them that they need to be catering to new customers not chasing them away! Good luck.

The cokes actually ring up at $3 each and the fifth one you ring up rings up as a free item. Although you are correct, the sign and ad say they are $2.40 each.

Let us know how it goes with the sausage (I have one lonely 0.55 off coupon that would make this deal just a little bit better).

To answer my own question, yes, you can use a coupon on a free item. I scanned the sausage, then my coupon ($0.55 and it doubled). Then I scanned my 5 cokes. The full $3.50 came off for the sausage after I scanned the cokes, so a bonus $1.10 off the order with the coupon.

I got one in the mail. There are a few that can be used with the in-store ConAgra buy $25 get $10 OYNO deal (like the banquet 2 for $1) and there is also the post 99 cents/box of cereal. If you couple that with the $1/2 MQ it could make for some cheap post cereal, if you are particular to a certain type from their line.

Picked up a free freebies today at Shoppers:

8.9oz boxes of cheerios. There's a coupon in last week's coupon book (good through today) to get it for: 2/$3. Used $1/1 peelies and actually made $1 (so quickly grabbed a $.99 4pack of Hunts chocolate pudding).

Kraft dressing is on sale 2/$4 - used the $1MQ from the 6/20 SS = FREE

Cheese Nips are on sale for $.99 - used the $1/2 Nabisco MQ from the 8/8 SS = FREE

Peter Pan PB has a coupon in last week's book as well for $.99 (Limit 1). If you use the $.60 MQ - that would make you a $.21 profit as well.

So ... is anyone else's store having issues with doubling items that are less than the value of the Q? The Cheez Nips, for instance, or the Nesquik bottles? Every coupon that would have had to auto did NOT, and had to be put in manually by the SCO attendant. She was very kind and gracious, even though that meant about 16 coupons had to be input. :shake: I would just like to avoid that, if at all possible.

Anyway, a few other things to add to the list!

Kame products - $1/1 from 6/20 SS - items range from 1.79 (coconut milk) to over $3.00.
House of Tsang - $1/1 hangtags on products - cheapest item was 3.39 (peanut sauce, etc.)
Dole mandarin oranges - $1/3 from 6/20 SS - small cans are 1.00, makes them .33/ea after coupon - is there a cat deal on these right now?
Ocelo scrub sponges - $1/2 can't find out which insert and I already clipped them - pkg of one scrub sponge is 1.39 - makes them .39/ea after coupons
Ocelo sponges - $1/2 - two-pks of the regular sponges are 1.50 - makes them .50/ea after coupon
Soft Soap hand soap - .50/1 IP (not sure if its available any longer) - free after triples
Scotch-Brite Dobie sponges - $1/2 7-11 SS - single sponges are 1.19 - makes them .19/ea after coupon
Activia yogurt - $1/1 lots - free after doubles

And since I know we all prefer to get PAID as opposed to just FREE, I got a cat advertisement!

Starting 8/22 and going through 9/7 - Buy 5 participating Kraft products and get a $5 OYNO. Participating products are:

Capri Sun
Cool Whip
Crystal Light (4-8 ct)
Crystal Light on the Go (10ct)
Kraft Cheese (shredded, cubed, chunk 5.8-10 oz)
Kraft Mayo (22-32 oz)
KRAFT SALAD DRESSING (14-16 oz)
Kraft Miracle Whip (24-32 oz)
Kraft singles (16 ct pkgs)
Oscar Mayer hot dogs (6-10 ct)
Oscar Mayer lunchmeat (16 oz)
Oscar Mayer lunchables lunch combinations (9-12 oz)
Planters snack nuts (5.75 - 16oz)

So save those Kraft salad dressing qs until Sunday!!!!!

Hey, all!! Another deal I found - a stack of coupons on a McCormick's display stand for $2 off meat/chicken wyb 2 ANY Lawry's seasoning blends. The smallest seasoning blend is 1.59-ish. There are/were .50/1 coupons for Lawrys, which tripled makes them .09/ea. Then use the $2 Q for a cheap pkg of meat! The coupons are oddly shaped, and bright green. They have an adhesive backing, almost as though they are supposed to be stuck to the bottles, perhaps? Anyway, there was a whole stack of them there, so be on the lookout.

Oh, and be sure to check your All You Qs - there are some great ones to use with the current ConAgra cat deal!!

Does Shoppers accept high-value printables?

Kraft cheese is $2/4 -- could be free with the $5 OYNO advertised in the in-store circular (http://www.shoppersfood.com/webcirc/view.html?i=7525&t=2) this week and the $5/5 printable (http://brands.kraftfoods.com/kraftcheese/index.html).

D'oh! Why hadn't I thought to look for an online policy the time there were $4 Pace coupons on their site last year? I went up to my coupon friendly store's CS and they said they only accept $1 IPQs or below.

Thanks for pointing this out, I'll try again armed with the policy in hand :)

Just be careful about "rolling" as it says additional coupons will not print when redeemed in same transaction. I guess we have to spend $5 each time and then have $5 for other items that we need to buy for later.

Yeah, it's worth a try though. I did a little googling and came upon another forum that confirmed it's rolling at Albertsons (part of the supervalu family). Obviously it's not guaranteed for Shoppers, but there's hope! I remember similar deals rolling at Shoppers in the past, but I'm really not a frequent shopper there, so I don't know first-hand.

Cool Whip is also listed on the second page @ .99, so that might be a good way to start the deal. I'll try it out this evening.

I didn't get to go last night, but I tried this afternoon. I got another OYNO on my second transaction, but I can't confirm the "rolling." The ink was too light on the first coupon that printed, so the SCO attendant had to manually push it through. So, I *did* get another coupon, but it didn't roll in the traditional sense.

This store isn't the most coupon-friendly, but the attendant didn't give me any trouble with keying in the Kraft $5 (coded 00) or the OYNO. I'll be back for more.

went to customer servise, they printed them for me. I also bought 5 OM Turkey hardwood smocked no-nitrite hot dogs just to check if they're included in promo - and looks like they are (CS rering it and got the cat for me)! So, free hotdogs (with OM select hotdogs $1 IP http://www.kraftbrands.com/goodmoodmission/)

So is everyone having no issues using this Q? I used it tonight, and the mgr was the one handling SCO. Having dealt with him before, I know he is not the smartest guy on the block, but I figured he could handle this one. Nope. Kept trying to figure out why it was asking him for a price. Finally just forced it through, and then, as he's standing there holding the Q in his hand, its like a light clicks on and he says, "Oh, this is an internet coupon! That's why we had all this trouble. I can only take an internet that is a dollar, nothing more." :faint: Thankfully someone had mentioned that their policy is $7 so I mentioned that to him, and he reiterated that it was a dollar. :shake: And ... told me not to be mad if I came in again and he refused that coupon since it was over the limit. So ... if I want to keep doing the deal at my store, which is like a 4-min drive from my house, I have to go armed for battle, with a printout from their website of the coupon policy.

Why oh why could Kraft not have coded this Q to take off the appropriate amount all by itself??? I mean, I understand why, but perhaps they could have included instructions for store managers on how to properly enter it? Is that too much to ask??

Hi! This is my first post in Shoppers thread...
Here we go:

Musselman's Applesauce 6pks are on sale @ 1.77 (til Sept. 8th)
In late August Musselman's Facebook page had a $1 off 6pk Q
Unfortunately, I don't think it's available any longer and the Qs on
their website are for the 4pk kind... BUT! if you were able to get
that Musselman's Q on Facebook, it would make it .77¢

My family usually pays $2.50+ for this stuff... so to us, it's a good deal.
I hope someone else can duplicate this. Take care!

Oh, Also -
is anyone taking advantage of the Shoppers in-flyer Q for Nabisco $3 off wyb 4?
There's also this Q on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/nabiscocookies?v=app_344901331467) so... buy 4 Nabisco products,
make one of them coookies, buy a milk, get a free package of cookies!

I'm horrible at math, but that's something like: $11 for the 4 Nabisco items
minus $3 Q in flyer, plus milk ($3?-ish), plus free cookies = $11 for 6 items!
That's approx 1.83 per item. (I think )
I'm not sure if both the Facebook Q and Flyer Q can be used at the same time?
But I think I'm going to give it a shot.

I hope everyone's having a lovely Labor Day! :)

I had a cashier try to tell me that, had the policy with me. They called over manager and manager said "yup...$7" so cashier entered it in. I don't think cashier was trying to be rude, just really thought it was $1 not $7. Deff carry the policy with you. I stocked my freezer this weekend with 5 cool whips and 40 bags of cheese. Yummy:)

I tried the Kraft deal today. Bought 2 American cheese slices and 3 Lunchables. No Cat printed and I went to Customer Service. They couldn't figure out why and ended up giving me $5. I would love to do this again, but doesn't seem to be working too well. Anyone else have this issue and any idea which product is the problem. $1.50 each after $5 Cat is a good price for the Lunchables.

Found a good deal on Sunripe cherry tomatoes. Theya re on sale this week for $1.99 and had a .75 peelie on them that will double. However, when I went through SCO said item not found for coupon. had the SCO lady scan coupon no problem so package of cherry tomatoes for .49 is a great deal. Just wish coupon worked appropriately.

I wonder if this deal got turned off early? I got five cheeses today and did not receive the cat. I had already gone round and round with the manager about the Kraft ipq, so I didn't feel like dealing with him yet again for the missing cat. Knowing this manager, he'd insist the reason I didn't get it is because I used a cat in the transaction. This guy is a very professional, business-like dude who knows absolutely zero about coupons. Very nice, but clueless. And unfortunately, whenever there's a beeper, he automatically assumes its my fault, because obviously, the computer cannot be wrong. :shake: Its frustrating because this store is right by my house - the next closest one is a good 20 mins away. Not worth it just for free cheese. Since these Kraft Qs have a long expiration date, I think I'll hold on to mine until the next deal comes along.

I really didn't see much in the coupon book, either. Thanks for the Angel soft and chicken information though.

I, too, went on Wed the 8th to try the cheese deal. I got some beeyotch who could barely contain her contempt for me. She looked like she was going to melt when I asked her to check if the paper was jammed in the cat machine, especially without the ad in hand to prove I was due a coupon. She is about the only beeyotch I have encountered at this Shoppers! I will be leaving her manager a little note to make sure he knows how welcome she made me feel. I just have to dig out the in-store ad and stop by to show the manager.

Judging by other posts, it looks like the deal only went until the 7th. I didn't have the in-store ad with me, and they only had the new ad in-store (How convenient!) but I am 90% sure they advertised it as being an 8 day deal.

Fail on Shoppers part.

Is there a new Shoppers thread that I don't know about?! I know the deals have been horrible here lately, but I can't believe it's been 90+ days since there's been a post!

-insert tumbleweed smiley-

Anyway, the secret in-store circular (http://www.shoppersfood.com/webcirc/view.html?i=17&t=2&ev=447) has a Con-Agra CAT going on: Spend $25, get $10 OYNO. Swiss Miss is included @ 10/10, so an easy $10 MM if you have enough of the Safeway booklet coupons... and your store has 25 Swiss Miss! Orville Redenbacher popcorn is $2, so could be a good deal on that too if you can get them to manually double the .75/1s from the same booklet.

 I always wonder the same about the Bloom thread. Deals are usually dead for me at both stores when there is no dollar doubles going on.

Thanks for posting this. I happened to be at Shoppers a few days ago when I noticed the in-store ad, but in my prejudice against Shoppers deals, I decided nothing seemed worthwhile after a quick glance. When I got home and looked at the on-line version again to double check, I noticed that Swiss Miss was $1 and INCLUDED in the deal :omg: I almost fainted.

Now I only know of a couple cashiers at one store in my area who would let me get away with more than 4 swiss miss Qs. I was thinking 10 might be reasonable enough. That way, I'd spend $15 OOP but I'd have a $10 cat to roll.

I'd use SCO but at both of the stores near me, the catalina machines at the SCO have been disabled for a couple of YEARS. I never thought to complain until now, however, because my trips there have been so infrequent. Does anybody else have this problem at their stores? Is it a Shoppers-wide thing? The worst part is the machines still have the green light on and are (no surprise) loaded with paper which make it look functioning. They're just not connected to the register for some reason

Yeah, the only time I make it to Shoppers is when it's a good MM, or something we need is free. I guess the last time I was there was the cheese deal at the end of the summer. I've never had a problem with nasty cashiers at my store, if anything they're just not educated about coupons so they don't know how to troubleshoot. SCO CAT machines are connected properly, but they tend to be out of order more often than at other stores (red lights flashing).

For this deal, I got 19 Swiss Miss and 6 popcorn, leaving my total at $3.75. I was surprised that the SCO didn't fuss about my high savings percentage or using too many of the same coupon. Everything went smoothly, and my $10 OYNO popped out at the end. I didn't want to argue about the popcorn coupons not doubling-- I figured it's bad karma if you're already making money. :-P

I didn't have quite enough Swiss Miss coupons to do 25 (I'll leave my SlickDealer badge at the door), but I stopped at Safeway during lunch and found some more of the booklets. If I get back to Shoppers before Wednesday, I'll do 9 Swiss Miss and 8 popcorn to roll the $10 OYNO.

If I get back to Shoppers before Wednesday, I'll do 9 Swiss Miss and 8 popcorn to roll the $10 OYNO.

 whoa 19 is still amazing. That's probably how many I would want to try at other chains. There are a ton of swiss miss end cap displays so it wouldn't be inconveniencing other shoppers who want to try the deal. That is if other shoppers even think about the in-store ad before they get to the store  Besides us, I don't really imagine anyone does. Even store personnel are clueless when I inquire about extra in-store ad circulars. One had been an AM for as long as I had shopped there but she denied they had an in-store circular.

Did you get a chance to grab a real in-store ad to see what they have listed at the bottom for the deal? I'm wondering if Marie Callender pastry pies are included. Combined with the reddi whip Q from the safeway booklet, I was thinking I could get some of those if/when I run out of Swiss Miss Qs. Same with the Wesson Canola Oil.

ok i'm late to posting this but either the wesson canola oil, poppycock original, or milk choco swiss miss are not counting for this deal. that's what i had in common for my two trannies and it did not print. GRR. luckily this store has excellent cs usually, so i did not have to deal with any crap. however, it does put a damper in my wesson oil plans for tomorrow :(

Bummer! I have Wesson oil, PAM cooking spray and swiss miss in my plans for today. Was the cat machine working at your store? How did they fix the issue.....rering at another register, give you a GC or some other way?

I meant to post this yesterday and forgot: Some of the Orville Redenbacher boxes have coupons inside: 2 free one night redbox movie rental codes, $1 off OR Poppycock, and Free soda with purchase of 2 packages of OR Gourmet Popping Corn. Since I might include my boxes with gifts I haven't opened any of them to see if ALL of the abovementioned Qs are in each box, or if it's just one of the above, but it seems to imply that they're all in there.

The machine was on with a green light and full of paper. They gave me a gc but they made me switch registers. The second register already had a coupon sticking out of it. Ironically enough, it was advertising the con agra deal for this week  Still no $10 Q.

Fiftycent got the $10 cat buying swiss miss, so it could be either the wesson canola oil or poppycock original. GRR! I always end up with the non-working items at Shoppers. I am thinking about complaining to corporate about their catalina deals hardly ever working as expected. The kraft buy 5 get $5 cheese deal, buy $30 get $15 GM deal last winter in which the frozen pizza wasn't counting, and now this. Such a pain!

I searched for other sites to see if anybody mentioned something about this cat deal, but I couldn't find anything except coupon match ups.

Sorry I couldn't reply sooner -- all of mine were the milk chocolate variety. Also worked with marshmallow last night.

That stinks that your CATs never print. I'm always hesitant about doing these deals at Shoppers because I feel like if a deal would go wrong anywhere, it'd be that store. I've had good luck lately, though.

Yoohoo! Anybody home? Sure is quiet around here.

If anybody is listening, I found what I think is a stock-up price for beans. Shoppers now has several varieties of those low-sodium Goya beans. They're $1 each, so using this coupon:
Goya Low Sodium Beans, 15.5 oz+ .75/3 DND (5/31/11) V 3/13/2011 they're fifty cents each.

Wow - I even got a warning for bumping such an old thread.

What kind of warning and why?

The Shoppers in Gainesville, VA shut their doors. No notice nothing. CLOSED. OUT OF BUISNESS. They haven't had a coupon event in a VERY long time. Nothing worth going to another town for...... Guess they don't need to draw shoppers in. :shake:

They closed the one on University Blvd in Adelphi MD, too. I never went in there, but sometimes pass it on my way to work. There one day, gone the next!

I checked out the facebook coupons they offer now, but they aren't anything special; all require a $25+ purchase.

Im glad we have plenty of shopping options around here!

It just says something like, "This thread hasn't had posts for 90 days. This probably means it does not need bumping. Are you sure you want to post?"

So the Shoppers chain seems to be closing down? I'm sorry to hear that. I know they don't do the promos like other stores, but I find their base grocery and produce prices excellent.

I used to shop there often for their international selection which was comparatively really good. Now that I spend more time at Giant, Bloom & HT (because of their promotions), I've noticed their international selections have improved. At least improved enough for me and my needs :D

It really is Shoppers' own fault, I think. They have no idea how to run their business in what I would think is a smart way. Whenever they had OYNO deals they were hidden in the so-called "in-store" ad and half the time they didn't work correctly. Not to mention that the level of customer service at Shoppers blows when it comes to coupon issues. Their double coupon promotions were usually a mess. Whenever I'd go in, I would have to make sure a competent cashier was working and could handle coupon issues. Otherwise, not worth the headache.

Despite everything I mentioned, I would still shop there in the future if there were OYNO deals that I could use and/or double coupon promotions... let's see something worthwhile, first, though!

Same here!

There are two stores very near me, and one just recently closed. Not that it matters to me since I haven't shopped there in ages. This used to be my go-to store about 15 years ago. Then they changed management, raised their prices, and went downhill. Now I don't even consider them an option. :shake:

Another 6 weeks and nothing worth discussing at Shoppers :omg:

Well, I found something that is maybe worthwhile. In-store ad has an ice cream deal buy $12 get $4 OYNO. Edy's shakes are 4 for $5 there are $1/2 Qs from a while ago in the paper.

Buy 10 @ 1.25 ea= $12.50
-(5) $1/2 MQs = $7.50
get back $4 OYNO

Pay $3.50 + tax for 10 shakes.

I've never had these, so I don't know if they're worth shelling out $$ for... but there you go.

Also I'm not sure what the heck I would spend $4 OYNO on at Shoppers these days...unless it's for more shakes, I guess?

ETA: They have that ominous warning about the minimum purchase being calculated after manufacturer coupons. Well there goes my interest in this deal. (Note: It may still work w/Qs, but the chances of it not working is high & the chances of getting it resolved in your favor at Shoppers is low IMHO ) So YMMV.

Shoppers is having a GM cereal deal. Buy 4 for $10 and get a gallon of Richfood or Shoppers Value brand milk. There were .50 coupons for Reeses Puffs and Cheerios on coupons dot com. They will make each box $1.50. Four boxes of cereal and a gallon of milk for $6.

So ... I have a freebie to post for Shoppers! If you printed the .50/1 Starkist tuna pouch coupon, they are $1/ea this week, making them free a/c!! I had printed this coupon, and have been watching the ads for all the stores, to see where I could get it free. Finally found one!! Also, when I bought my 2 pouches, a CAT printed for .50/1 any Bumble Bee Premium tuna pouch. Might try and use that at Walmart.

Anyway, enjoy your free tuna!!

For the gift card deal, I purchased $25 iTunes, $25 Chilis & $50 Lowes. $20 OYNO printed out with an expiration of 11/28. I turned right back around and got $20 worth of groceries. :) Cat wouldn't scan, but CS was able to enter it manually.

Thanks to OP (http://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=44916910&postcount=1364) ... I would have never noticed this deal otherwise.

Hey guys! Been MONTHS since a post in here has been made, but I wanted to let you know of a deal that ends tomorrow (I think!). In the home delivery ad, on the last page, there's a freezer promo - buy a freezer for 159.99, and get $160 in coupons. I just got this freezer today. It is a no-name freezer, made in China, but the return policy is pretty good - return to store in 45 days for full refund, or up to a year through Super-Valu (corp of Shoppers). Almost ALL of the coupons are FREE ones, and its a book full.

If you are thinking about getting a freezer to take advantage of all the freezer deals this month, I would definitely recommend getting in on this deal. The coupons help offset the cost, and its a fair price already for a freezer. Let me know if you have any questions about specs on it, I'll see if I can help.

HTH!

Did you pick it up in-store? Are the coupons MQs or Store Qs ?

I am seriously considering a fridge, not a freezer, but I am just curious in case they run this deal again. Thanks!
