I just did this one and I'm almost positive that it was 1/15 $50. Very quick and easy.

Thanks. I just glanced at it before I did it. And when I thought about how easy it was I didn't think it could be that much for such a quick study.

You are right. It was 1/15. I briefly glanced at the study details before opening the study link and was not sure if I noted the right odds. Looks like I got the odds and the reward numbers mixed up. 1/15 is way better than 1/50! :)
I also corrected the original post.

All surveys on the Yale SOM elab website are for chance. This site is an educational website and cannot be compared to Survey Spot or other commercial survey websites where the chance surveys are 20+ minutes for a sweepstakes entry. Most of the studies on Yale are less than 5 min for prizes ranging from $10 to $100 and the odds of winning are quite decent.
I personally have won six studies in the past 4 months. Admittedly there are some folks who have not been lucky so far, but if you dig a little more in the previous pages of this thread, you will find that there have been multiple SDers who have won the Yale studies.

Keep taking these free surveys and that's all there will ever be.

You are quite the complainer. Everybody has a different experience and unique experience doing surveys, panels, and focus groups. Some good, some bad. But from what I have seen in your posts, everything is bad.

Maybe surveys aren't the thing for you. If you dislike so many of the companies and can't even find a positive element in the chances offered by grad students in the universities, maybe you should try something else for extra cash.

TechnoKrat

I agree. The constant whining by this person is becoming quite annoying. I am surprised it took this person this long to start complaining about Yale! Maybe a mod alert might be in order.

All surveys on the Yale SOM elab website are for chance.
This is not true. They had paid surveys before. Admittedly there are some folks who like chance studies. I personally prefer UCLA $1 dollar per study approach. As I see it, 1 is better than nothing.

TechnoKrat

Some prefer to get paid $1; others prefer to try their luck to earn more through a chance drawing. To each his own. The point I was trying to make is that lots of folks here have won these studies unlike the SS studies.

I have been doing Yale studies for about 6 months. In that time I have not come across any paying ones. It may have been different before that.

My first win...was it worth it? Well, I have taken over 10 random surveys for them and never won, although I admit these are easier to clear through than other survey sites, money vs time? Don't know what to say, but this adds some relief to actually win from here.

weird, I saw a study Something about Mary (5-10 minutes), 1/50 chance to win $40. I clicked on the survey and it saw the first page with the details of the survey. Then, when I clicked to "Yes, I agree" or "continue", it led me back to the sign in page and the survey was gone.

It depends on the closing date of the survey. Some of the SDers have won some money from Yale so did I. Yes, sometimes it takes so long that I don't even recall which is it. But, don't you feel that the surveys from Yale are usually short and interesting?:)

Yes they are short and interesting, main reason I am attracted to them. It just gets frustrating that out of at least 25+ surveys that one will win right? I wasn't sure if they reward you instantly within the hour or if it takes a while. Ill keep holding on!
