Hi everyone. New to the forum and it's great. I am a member of many survey sites with little to no problems with any of them. Then comes myview. After earning over 30 dollars with them (and you survey takers know how long that takes!), they suspended my account and refuse to pay a dime! They claim that my answers were not legitimate. I always answer everything truthfully and after a few automated responses from them, they will not respond anymore. Has anyone ever had a similar problem with any of these sites? Thanks for your input.

DO NOT TRUST SITES LIKE MYVIEW & other SURVEY SITES THAT PAY YOU "VIRTUAL DOLLARS"

I had a myview account & my surveys never get Processed & no reply from the Company... That said ,
I USED TO WORK FOR A REAL (B&M) Research [Survey] Company -->

THE CLIENTS THAT HIRE THESE research COMPANIES
[research Survey Middleman (ie. Myview)] PAY THEM BIG BUCKS! I mean TONS OF $! Cash for every user response they get....

(most CLIENTS that HIRE THESE COMPANIES DO NOT even Validate if the response they get is real , it is up to the Research company to deal w/ this & they can pass all & get $ from the client)

i did a survey for Intel w/ Myview & I know intel is paying them at least $25 PER COMPLETED SURVEY (being intel is a big survey & it took a while)
--> MYVIEW in turn gave me a shitty $4 for the survey & it never cleared / processed!

--->>THEY SCAM PEOPLE & MAKE A TON OF MONEY , WHILE NOT PAYING OUT ANY OF THE PEOPLE THAT TAKE THE SURVEY w/ the BULL SH1T "MyView Dollars"

[just fyi , the company I worked for paid the person that took the survey a MINIMUM OF $5 PER SURVEY & more if it took more than 5 MINUTES!]

-- DON'T SUPPORT THESE SCAMMERS & WASTE YOUR TIME!! & BE SURE TO SPREAD THE MESSAGE!

i have gotten payment from them in my Paypal of $150 so far and $1 away from another deposit to reach my $25 cashout, never had a problem with them at all, although it does take a couple weeks for them to deposit it, I have never had them deny me of anything, it is one of the highest paying survey sites.

It did not affect my account but i know many who experienced the same thing you have this last month.

Up to today, I have never had a problem with MyView. Like others here have said, it helps to have a paypal account. I've gotten paid every time with this company- well over $200 has gone into my paypal account. I just requested my last payment less than a month ago, and received it quite fast.
Hope everything works out for you. Sorry you're having troubles with them.

Well actually, you need to check their site a few times a day, they add them frequently and DON'T always send you an email notification when a survey is available. strange that you haven't received any surveys in a year, I get about 3-4 a day by checking the site.

I havent done a survey yet, I dont know if its worth it.... 1 dollar a survey seems too little, but I guess it adds up

I'm having some serious money issues (aren't we all, I know) and remembered that I'd tried to cash out a few months ago, but hadn't been paid yet. Went to check my account, and also got the "Fraud" for all of my surveys. I always answer honestly, and take my time, I am livid. Filled out their customer service form, but don't expect much.

Its really bad- i know so many that this has happened to last month. What obviously happened is that once a year they do an audit on everyones account with some audit software- kicking out the ones the software determined as fraudelent. Many times there are bugs in this software( it happened with GTM, Survey Spot, Greenfield) kicking out members that are NOT fraudalent, dont have more then one account, ect. GTM, Survey Spot at least recognised the bug/error when it happened and admitted there was a problem with the software- MyView wont even recognise the problem or return emails to those it happened to.
Im lucky it did not happen to me- but as a warning- this happens ALOT and to alot of people- not just with Myview but many survey companies.

Like many others I have been identified as a "FRAUD" by myview and they refuse to pay me for their long, annoying surveys,

They have farked with the wrong person - not based on the piddly amount of money that I am owed, but based on principle

I should have enough to cashout now from MyView, but they have that stupid unfinished page thing going, and you NEED TO HAVE a reference #, like the one you get after you finish one of their surveys.

If you DO NOT have one of these reference #'s then the page says to email them for a list of your reference numbers, of which Ive done numerous times, and have NEVER recieved that list!

I feel MyView is just giving us all the run around with that unfinished webpage and they dont want us to actually know how much they owe us, cause if we don't know, we cant cashout.

So far, im quite unimpressed with MyView.

The thing that really irks me is that after calling me a fraud and "suspending" my account, I am still receiving a million survey invitations spamming my inbox.... Not only that but all of my emails to support get bounced back with a failure notice....

lately i was not able to take any myview surveys. they would all lead me to an error page after filling out their first qualifying page. i emailed their cust serv and they replied me saying that my membership is discontinued or cancelled and all my balance is fortified. but i still keep getting their survey invitations. i do try to take them and it does qualify me and connect me to tis partner site and then i get disqualified. i have not been qualified for any survey since then. but when i log into my a/c i still see my balance.
so my question is should i still continue to keep atempting their survey or should i just stop and not waste my time.anyone in sitation like this? do u think they will approve my balance for this month?

Um, why would you continue to take surveys if they've explicity told you they are ripping you off??? It's not like they will magically change their minds and give you your deserved money - Don't waste another second, I haven't. Also, call Myview customer service at 212-905-5500 and let them squirm trying to explain to you why they are ripping you off.....

I had a issue with Synovite. I emailed and phoned them several times to try to get the 50.00 I cashed in on. After 5 months of emailing and waiting for my payment, I turned them in BBB.org and sure enough I got a email stating they were having server problems and mailed my check out after I filed the complaint.

Good luck.

Well, this is rather uncanny that I jump into this forum for the 1st time and plow into MyView  I go into that site a couple times a day waiting to hit the $25 mark (I'm at $23 approved and $20 PENDING!) My last approval was done on 10/1 and that happens to be same date as the oldest of the $20 pending.

Not only have I heard of the nightmares here, but also through other sites. And, yes, I have heard of people being "booted" out for freaking fraud!

I don't get it where some people have all the luck with some sites paying and some don't. I can understand where some qualify and some don't, but what's up with the PAYMENT system?

I also had a similar situation with MyView, so beware if you are thinking of signing up. I had banked up $40 worth in pending payments and waited 2 months for the status to be approved. Since this never happened, I contacted customer service by email. A day later, then replied to me saying that it would take another few weeks, but when I checked my account, they had marked all of my surveys as Fraud. I was upset and contacted them numerous times demanding an explanation but never heard from them again. I can't believe I wasted so much of my time on them. And yes, they still send me emails too...I just mark them as junk.

WOW! That's a real bite. Take them to Survey Police immediately! As a matter of fact, I'm going to shoot them an email and ask what the status is with my "pendings" and for that matter. What's really strange is that I signed up on 8/4, checked 'em out with the BBB at that time which showed a satisfactory rating. Now, when I went in, they're not there at all.

Strange.......

Yes, I'm still waiting for Oct approvals. I actually suggest not calling them because as soon as they hear something from a member they'd investigate that member's account. And having itchy trigger fingers that'll usually cause them to cancel your account. They can find any BS reason to cancel your account because they "believe" your account is fraudulent. They don't have to give you a reason. They probably keep the survey money that was due to you.

I've never had a problem with MyView approving, but if I leave the computer for 20 minutes while doing a survey with them, it will time out and it says to click on the link invite again to complete it. I do so and it says I've already completed the survey. So be careful when doing myview surveys to not take too long of breaks.

I started myview on 10/01/08. This past Saturday I had decided not to do any other surveys until I got credit for the ones that I did. I was becoming very concerned after reading all of these negative posts about myview. Sure enough, I received 31.00 of 42.00 that was pending as of yesterday. It seems like a legitimate company. I think that perhaps they are having some software issues or glitches, but not to investigate inquiries/disputes and to simply ignore and not do the right thing to people is very wrong.

Question-
I keep seeing a number of surveys on my home page that make no mention of a sweepstakes entry or a dollar amount for a reward. Maybe some people take these surveys that are willing to be generous with their time? Do you get paid for these or are you just doing the survey without compensation? I would like to take more surveys, but I am not willing to do them for nothing. Thanks for any input!

There's Opinion Surveys where at times they do offer incentives and will mention so. Below that are Personality Surveys of which I had a slew of them from August and September where they get "valuable" feedback from us in order to direct more appropriate surveys to us based on our interests. They DO NOT pay anything.

What's wierd is that my Aug & Sep Personality surveys are no longer there. Sometimes their there and sometimes not. Today, they're not. hmmmm.........:sleepy: I'm actually glad they are gone cause when I would go in to take any of them, I'd get a dead link.

Wow - I just looked again at my page again and have three of which do not mention anything of incentives or entries to the monthly drawing. This is definately a first for me. Then again, they could lead to PT's.......

Plus, when I went in there today, all the ones that were approved and paid to me (money already spent........) it shows those as "Pending Payment". Hmmmmmm........ Don't matter - I got paid.

But really, get on them now!

Wow - what a bummer! How long have you had your money sitting there with them? Did they suspect you of fraud? I've heard that's a common 'word' they like to use. Heck, just today I did another $2 survey in hopes of hitting the $25 mark again. I'm up to $13 and know they always have $1 or $2 surveys on site. Guess if I get really bored....... ;)

When I get to the 'congratulations' page after a survey (anyone for that matter), I copy the entire page and paste it into the survey invite (after I click forward) and send it to myself. However, if I don't get an invite I'll compose an email and keep it in the MyView folder in case something comes back to bite me in the A**. Something else I figured out (a bit to late) is that when I get so lucky to complete a survey with a reward, I make sure the subject line is very specific so that I don't have to hunt down a particular survey if need be.

Try the BBB as well - I'd stay on top of them.

Good Luck!

I received this invite approximately 6:00pm CST and was absolutely delighted. Going for that $25 payout again and this would boost my current earnings of $13 to $18. I spent 15 minutes regarding my new phone including the model, features I use, whether I use it for personal or business use, etc.

Got to the last question whether my job is the most important thing in my life and got the following. Thank you for participating, however, you did not qualify for the respondent pool necessary for this particular survey.

To show our appreciation for taking time out of your busy day, we would like to enter you into our monthly $1,000 Sweepstakes.

 WHAT?!!! Is there a proper answer of whether or not my job is more important than my family life? I have never been so disgusted (outside of Greenfield).

If any of you dare, go into your MyView acct and see if that study is available and give it a shot. I could chew glass and swallow nails right now!

Yes, I did email them asking SPECIFICALLY why I DID NOT QUALIFY. And if I don't get an answer by tomorrow am, they will get phone call!!!!!!

I spent the last half hour exhausting all efforts to find a phone number for MyView located at 304 Park Avenue South 7th Floor, New York 10010 to no avail.

It would not surprise me if this location is a burnt out warehouse in New York city!

Does anyone happen to have their phone number handy?

The BBB does not have any information on them but according to their website, MyView has been recently been brought to their attention and check back in four to six weeks. I WONDER WHY! :vomit:

OMG, does this bring back bad memories, I even got a mod warning for battling with another member over my principle of $7.00. Anyway as you can see it use to be surveydirect, don't know why why copy and paste didn't work, but I googled and also did a keyword search here. I came up with 2 phone #'s : 646-367-3912 and 212-905-5500 ext 212 I actually did s/w someone one night. Hope that helps and feel your frustration .

Sportsdoll - thank you so much. The first # 646.... doesn't even ring and the second # 212...... I got through. The extension for MyView customer service is 259 with an automated recording. "Please leave your name, phone number and email address and someone will get back with you in 5-7 business days." WHAT!!!!!

At least last night customer service got back with me within the hour of my complaint and had the lame brain excuse that they have no control over their surveys. So I demanded to know who the market research company is that was responsible for this survey and haven't heard anything back yet.

In reality I do have better things to do with my time - but it's just the principle of the matter that these phoney survey sites take such advantage of us.

On to a more pleasant day! Thank you all!

okay, i just got off the phone with my view and this is what is going on with the soup test. the client decided that they do not need as many people as they sent the soup to, so they have just deleted us out of the study and we won't be getting paid our $45.this really sucks. and i told him i would post this on here so everyone will not be calling in to bug them. he also said that if anyone gives false answers on the surveys, they will disqualify them from the study and will add someone else back in those places. hope this helps.:(

I too am in the soup test and have had problems with their surveys for it since the second one. I have emailed them at least 6 times and have not heard one word. How can they not pay us??? Not to mention you were supposed to use these in recipes and we purchased items to go in the recipes for the test. If it is because they decided they did not need as many people why did they not at least tell us so we weren't following through with our end of the deal? I am going to call also.

My DEC surveys were approved tonight to cash out

My November surveys were all approved yesterday. I don't see any of my December's approved though. Xray - can you double check and verify that those are December earnings? Regardless, let us know the turn-around for your deposit. I'm not quite at the $25 mark yet. However, with patience I may suceed for next month.

Just by going with last month's history, most of our earnings for October were approved on 11/23 and posted to PayPal immediately upon request. From my observation, it appears that they approve surveys once a month. Anyone else seeing that trend?

I had issues accessing one of the last soup surveys and couldn't complete it and got this response today after waiting 2 weeks....so it looks like we should expect something this month.

Dear My View Panelist,

Thank you for alerting us to this situation.

I apologize for the inconvenience and delay. Many panelists have been having issues with the Campbell's Soup study such as being unable to complete the third or fourth survey or having reward problems. We are trying very hard to come up with a fair solution. Usually, if a panelist gets closed out of a survey, there is nothing we can do. With a study like this, however, things are a little different. We are saving all correspondence from panelists until the survey ends in January. At that time, we hope to come to a fair solution. Again, I am sorry for the inconvenience and frustration. Thank you for your patience.

Sincerely,

MyView Panelist Services

I have never made a penny from this company doing surveys. I have DQ'd & entered into the sweeps every time. A couple of weeks ago I received notice from them that I had won the $500.00 Grand prize for October. I sent back my info but did not really expect a lot(I NEVER win anything). Two days ago I received a email from" My View" informing me that 500.00 dollars had been deposited in my Pay Pal account. I am STILL in shock!! I am VERY sorry for those that have had problems with this company, but right now I can say I am VERY happy with them.

First of all, one must do their reseach as manic says and check out SurveyPolice and BBB. Secondly, some people have better luck with sites more than others. Surveys revolve around one's demographics and most importantly: Honesty! Finally, again as manic says, you must read the other valuable posts here to know what experience everyone has had.

Here's the email from myview I just received. I DID complete all 4 parts and therefore I earned the aforementioned $45 incentive but they say we are getting $10 (and then later in the email they mention $5 to make it MORE confusing), isn't that illegal?

Dear MyView Community Member,

Recently, you were asked to participate in a Soup Product Testing survey. If you are receiving this email, you have previously written to us regarding problems you’ve encountered with this survey.

We have provided additional information to help understand what happened and what we are doing to ensure this will not happen again:

Product Testing Incentive Structure:

MyView always provides incentive amounts that coincide with the difficulty level of the survey in question. In this specific case, the client was paying the $45 incentive for the Product Test at the completion of all 4 surveys.

Unfortunately, the incentive cannot be provided in the cases where all 4 surveys were not completed and received by the research company. This includes incompletes due to technical difficulties.

Will this Incentive Issue ever happen again?

NO. We revised our client agreement and decided that from now on any product testing research that occurs over multiple weeks/surveys must pay a per survey incentive over the life of the project. In other words, an example of another way to structure a Product Testing incentive would be:

First survey pays $5. Second survey pays $5. Third survey pays $15. And fourth pays $20.

This way we can ensure our Community members receive credit for each survey taken, especially in cases where unforeseen technical issues arise or you are unable to participate during the specified field time.

What we can do for you now…

We value your time and all the opinions you have provided since you have joined the MyView community. This was an unfortunate situation that the client was unable to control.

Regardless, we want you to understand that we consider you an important member of our community. We will be crediting your account $10 during the first week of February. This is our way of saying thanks for your patience and understanding during this unforeseen issue. In addition, we will ensure that you are the first to receive the next Product Test survey (MINUS the incentive issues!).

Again, we apologize for the inconvenience this project has caused. It was not our intentions and we will try our hardest to keep something like this from not happening in the future.

Important Note: If this is not your pay pal email address, please reply back and provide us with your pay pal email address so we can credit your reward center account. If you do not reply back we will assume this is your pay pal email address and will credit your reward center account under this email address. We will commence processing the payment of the $5 reward on February to allow all members that need to reply back to us to do so.

Sincerely,
Your Friends at MyView

I got that same email. I had originally had trouble with the 3rd survey link, but then was able to complete it the next day with a new link they sent. So I have also done all 4 surveys, but their email is confusing. I hope we still get our $45.

WOW! :omg: That really sucks! I don't think you can categorize this as illegal but how about down-right unfair. It was not your fault they had techinical issues. It's not that you didn't show good faith to test their product for weeks and follow-up with FOUR surveys and their system :censord2: up.

As far as I'm concerned, their technical issues are considered the cost of doing business, so eat it up and pay the panelists! :angry2:

Furthermore, what's up with $5 paid on February!? On freaking February?! There is no ON FEBRUARY! Shouldn't that be in February?

I'm so sorry for those of you that had to endure this. Obviously I wasn't invited to the soup buffet and if I were, I'd be absolutely livid! Hope you get what you deserve!

I HATE myview. i took 3/4 surveys but didnt realize until the last one that i had to log into my account again at the end of the surveys to receive a confirmation number. it doesnt say anything about that. it says the survey is complete thank you, not that you have to log in and confirm. so i lost a few dollars there. but i figured that was my mistake and since i finally knew, i could really start making some money.

well they REALLY F-ed me over, i took a 10 dollar survey about cars, took me 20 minutes. when i finished the survey it said thank you survey complete and was transferring me to the page to sign in but then there was an "error." it said they would email me and confirm later. They NEVER did. They said if i never received the email to contact them with error code #42. Decided to email and told them it wouldn't let me even get a confirmation number. So after 2 months they reply by asking me what the confirmation number was.... Also what the email link invitation was (which i sent them already in the email!) That person was either really dumb or just yanking me around. I tried to email them back and their "customer service email address has moved." They said to reply only back to the customer service email they sent me but i couldnt! I forwarded everything to them at their "new" address. its been over a month now and i doubt i will hear back from them, that or they will just ask me the same stupid questions.

so i have 15.00 virtual dollars that i will never be able to redeem. I'm done with them.
that is unless i get an amazing email of their apology and 10 virtual bucks... i highly doubt it though.

i'm all for mypoints and pinecone research, they haven't wronged me yet. (minus the 5 going down to 3 for pinecone...but hey atleast they pay.)

dizzy - that really sucks and I'd be on the war path! Yes, the customer service sucks and pray that I don't have to go down that road again. :compunch:

However, with your issue as far as logging in to get you confirmation number .... no no ! :shake: That is after your survey was credited! I'm almost sure of it. You will get the conf # after completion of the survey. I've done enough of the potlickers that I should know the page sequence but from what I recall, you will get a second page similar to this after they congratulate you for a job well done:

Please review the information below then click the SUBMIT button below to complete your reward.

You can print this page to save for your records.

Date: ********

Credit to Email Address: dontripmeoff@yahoo.com

Reward Earned: $00.00 MyView DollarReward

It's only THIS page that you click submit and the reward is credited.

But if you log in and go into your rewards and type in "any" confirmation number, you will have access to your entire account. Above is also history TAB which will give you a chronological list of surveys and their status.

I hope you don't get ripped off and continue to pursue. Hell for $15 I'd be pulling out the shotgun! :bomb:

I guess I've been lucky with them. I've cashed out with them twice and am close to cashing out a third time. Yes, they do take a month or two to credit your account, but I've always been paid.

In this economy, I don't blame them one bit for taking a long time to credit our accounts. They probably want to make sure that they are going to get paid themselves before promising us any money.

Cany anyone give me any advice here? Is myview the original name of the survey company or was it a different name in the past? The reason I am asking is because I have done several surveys for them and decided to check to see my account, and apparently my email address doesn't exist. How the heck am I getting their surveys if they don't have my email address in their system to pay or credit me? I even contacted the company via email and requested a lost password and all I keep getting is the same link to supply my email address, which is not valid according to them. Help please! TIA!

Hi, My name Robert and I had a simular experience with Surveyhead. Well I contacted the FBI, made a complaint and Guess what? SURVEYHEAD CREDITED my account within a week of the complaint.

Hi, I just wanted to say that I have gotten 2 payments from myview now since I started doing surveys with them in 2/09

What amazed me was I had like another poster mentioned exactly 54$ to be cashed out. I requested it today, and expected to have to wait 2-4 weeks like the first time. But BOOM not even 2 hours later I had an email from paypal with the 54$.

Does anyone else experience something like this?

I've never done much Myview, as I've never been paid for my surveys.

I have been doing surveys for MyView, and just went to see if I have enough to cash out. Lo and behold... I don't exist! I do exist as far as the "my surveys" page, but I am not recognized in their "check your rewards" page. Go figure - They know who I am when it comes to using my time and opinions, but have no idea who I am when it comes down to compensation.
I contacted Customer Service via the web form, all I receive is auto responses.

This recently happened to a friend of mine and she just wrote it off.

I get 2-3 surveys PER DAY from them, I am not writing this off.

Any suggestions?

when you signed up with them initially they give you 4 confirmation ids,you can use any 1 of these confirmation ids to check your balance,i think this confirmation will be associated to the paypal email address given at the time you signed up with them, hope this helps you

Four confirmation ID's? Now I'm confused  I don't recall getting four of them - only when I complete a survey.

When I log into my rewards I plug in my email addy associated with PayPal and one of the confirmation ID's (alpha numeric 8 digits) from a prior survey reward. From my experience, it doesn't matter if it was the first survey you took or the most recent.

However, when and if there comes a time to change your contact information including your email address, things can get really confusing. My invites are still coming to an old email address from months ago and have to log into my surveys under that old email.

BUT - I have to associate my new email for the rewards page after surveys and checking out my balance.

I hope I didn't confuse anyone to bad. :D

I do not like their new "easier" survey system. You can no longer pick from a list of surveys to complete. You must try to complete one survey before you are offered anything else. I also get so tired of filling in my info in for the drawing over and over if I do not qualify. How is the new survey center any easier? Maybe I am missing something?

I agree, the new survey center is not good. I haven't got any survey since 2 days. And None of the survey links work.

Weird-I changed my email and my invites went to my new email address.

I switched email addresses months ago and have followed up to no avail. Rewards pending in the old address got lost and that was a disaster getting that squared away. Then your account is on hold for a week after any changes. Just a mess but I got the routine figured out with them and am not going to make changes to stir anything up (unless I'm really bored one day and can deal with the headache).

I changed my e mail months ago with myview and I still get e mails from them to my old e mail address. Some e mails go to the new address and some still go to the old address. This should not be happening!!??
