Rare has confirmed that Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts' unclear text on standard definition televisions will not be fixed. The issue came to light following the release of the demo last week and now Rare states that the issue is "too expensive in terms of time, resources and money to alter."
SDTV haters aside, let's accept the fact that this is a serious oversight on par with Dead Rising's tiny text. Adding insult to injury, CVG points out that Xbox Live Arcade games must be playable, which includes text being readable, on a 14" SDTV. Too bad Microsoft doesn't seem to hold its first-party retail games to that strict standard.

Hopefully people will not buy a broken game that a company flatly refuses to fix.

Any chance I had of buying this game are gone. I got a headache trying to read the text in just 10 minutes with the demo. I think I might just dig out my old N64 and play the original.

the original was great because it was different at the time...but i dont know about this one...
The text issue doesn't really bother me though, ive been so spoiled by HD that I refuse watch/play anything in SD. I just wont do it.

Rare to fix Banjo text size for SD TVs
According to this Mundorare article, Rare’s volte-faced on the Banjo SD text issue, and has now said it will be fixed.
“It has come to our attention that people are experiencing subtitle readability issues with Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts on Standard Definition TVs,” said Rare community boss George Kelion.
“We would like to assure you that contrary to earlier reports, we are aware of the issue and currently working on a title update to be released within the next 30 days that will fix it for those with Standard Definition TVs.
“We’re committed to ensuring all fans of the franchise are able to have the best experience possible with Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts.”
So calm down, all you SD TV-owning Banjo-buyers. You shall go to the ball.

I love the old ones, but I plaid the demo, not my kind of game. You don't even fight evil monster things and find the jiggys. I just wish they'd go to the old way.

I was playing the demo last night on our 42" and I was really annoyed by the relatively small text size.
If they don't fix it for everybody, I'm out, which is a bummer since the game is one of the only of its kind on the 360.
