me too. having 10 deal alerts were rough. I had been in the market for a TV for a while and had to just settle for 1080p as my deal alert word. Now I can also add HDTV and TV (or is TV too short?)

If it helps, you can actually combine several keywords to condense more words into one alert. For example you can put all of those keywords into one alert, like so: 1080p | HDTV | TV. An alert like this would search for 1080p OR hdtv OR tv. This would then only use up one alert instead of three :)
(The "|" is actually the little 'pipe' character that's usually on the same key as the "\" (backslash) key.)
As for 'tv' being too short, I'm not truly sure. The Deal Alerts Primer, located at the bottom of your deal alerts list page in your User CP, says that keywords should be between 3 and 64 characters. However when I test searched the site for TV just now, it did bring up quite a few threads. So it may work ok for you or not. Search for tv and see if you get the kind of results that you want. (and btw, deal alerts are not case sensiitive, so HDTV is the same as hdtv.)
When you're not sure if a keyword or keyword phrase (using quotes on phrases) will work, then just try using that keyword or phrase to search the forums and see what results that gives you. If it works in the search, then it will work in your Deal Alert :).
For more and other ways to combine or tweak your alerts to get the most out of them, you might want to read through the full Deal Alerts FAQ (http://forums.slickdeals.net/faq.php?faq=sd_faq_item#faq_deal_alerts_faq). Lots of good info there. :)
