I'm looking to buy a new telephone cord to connect my landline phone to the wall.

I'm hoping to find an 8-10 foot, preferably in black (to match the phone).

Anyone seen any deals on these? Hoping to spend less than $4, but might be willing to go up to $4.50 if it's a name brand.

What have you guys seen?

I heard that CC was going to be selling 7.5 feet cords for $4.55. Don't ask where I heard it from.

I'm sure CC will pull through for us again this year. Last year I waited in line all night and got a Black & Decker toaster and extension cord combo for $43.99-15 MIR - 7 MIR - 10 MIR = $12AR !!!

My friend also got a Sony Walkman cassette player (much more reliable than an iPod - don't have to worry about hard drive crashing) for hecka cheap AR.

If they put a toaster on sale this year I'm going to be all over that. I wasn't able to get in on the Walkman deal last year... :sadwalk:

I also am in need of a phone cord, but the other type, the curly one that goes from the base to the handset. it needs to be really long, long enough to go from my den to the laundry room. its about 14 or 15 steps, so I dunno, like 40 or 45 feet? and unless it is in fashionable 70s avacado green.

I will only take another color if it is strong enough to hang myself, which I will be apt to do if we dont see some more ads soon.

Avacado green is a bit unrealistic, dontcha think? I have been told that CompUSA will be selling them in lime green though...

Yeah, I'm looking for some rope for real cheap. About enough to sufficiently tie a person up should do the trick. IDK if Home Depot will have any good BF deals on this. Does anyone else know.

EDIT
I forgot about the phone cord, silly me. Try eBay or pretty much anywhere except the big stores. It's cheap on BF plus 364 other days too!

What about spring-loaded bear traps?
Preferably Acme brand, Wile E. Coyote approved.
Anyone seen any deals on those?

These will be on sale at Home Depot. Buy 10, get 1 free. I got in on this deal last year and was able to use them this Halloween. They worked great; didn't have to hand out any candy.

I am 100% certain these will be on sale because my brother's friend's girlfriend's mom's cousin knows a guy that works at HD.

No way that all those people could be wrong. I'd consider it fact if I were you.

Could you go woodgrain for 5 cents? I hear the John Deere Store will have a bulldozer full of those.

Linens and Things will also be having a Disgruntled Employee Sale, where anything small is free, so you could check that out.

hate to burst your bubble, but you wont likely find the good ones, the No. 2, at this price. I could see maybe some softer No. 1, but only off brand, def not Ticonderoga.

personally, I wouldnt even use a wood anymore. call me a snob, but its now only mechanical for me.

Bic Velocity>Ticonderoga>bloody knife>plasma>DLP.

but the bright yellow is very pretty....

Mechanical is fine for later in the day; but early on, it has to be wood. There's nothing like morning wood to start your day :yummy:

Epic thread is epic.

Best Buy will have them free after rebate, but you have to have Geek Squad come install it. They charge a $50 base fee and an additional $10 per foot of cable. The premium package which actually includes plugging the cable into the phone and wall jack is only a mere $149 more.

yeah, I have done some great work with morning wood. but still, mechanical really gets the job done. even the GF agrees....

and to all those luddites who think that mechanical is "still in the experimental stages", you know that is far from true. you are just trying to reason to not cough up the money for the newer tech. heh, next thing you know, people will want huge ass big screen tube TVs....

it depends on the coverage in your area. if they have rolled out 3g, and you plug in a 2g phone, def some problems. it would be very similar to crossing the streams of proton packs.

:omg: You people are cracking me up! Definitely best info I've got on this site in a while! I'm sitting here listenening to streaming Christmas music trying to decide if I even need to bother going out Friday, you people have me convinced. I don't really think I need one of those phones cords, but if I can get some of these deals, I guess I should probably stock up! I'm sure they will come in handy later, or make a great stocking stuffer!

Thanks for the inside info!

Sorry, your deal comes up a little short. Mike specifically said he was looking for an 8-10 foot cord.

On a side note if Mike doesn't mind making a slight detour on Black Friday to New York City, Jacks 99 cent store has a full 25 foot telephone wall cord for you guessed it 99 cents. It's well worth the trip. It comes in your choice of colors, including black. If Mike wants to make a really bold statement he can get the pink cord to go with his black phone.

Here's my BF story:

Got in line at BB at 1pm on Thurs. (packed myself a couple turkey sandwiches smothered with potatoes and gravy, great stuff). I was 3rd in line and knew I'd have my pick of the litter.

Come Friday morning, I was shocked to see that they weren't handing out vouchers for cords; what kind of screwed up operation is this? Fortunately, while everyone else sprinted towards the laptop, I made a beeline for accessories and picked up a 10' Jensen cord for $3.99. Accidentally knocked over a display for Chinese Democracy (of which there were plenty, BTW), but it was one of the last white ones.

God, this cord is screaming. Crystal-clear speaking on the other line, definitely one of the best purchases I've made recently and I didn't have to wait no stinkin' 60 days for cashback, bitches.
