I was at Sears today and the manager showed me the BF advertisement. So he told me to buy it now while its in stock and just call in for a price adjustment to 899.99 So right now the regular price is 1399.99 but then come back for the price adjust and plus get an additional 10% of the differance off. So 850.00 plus tax is the final price. :)

Now for the low down. The picture quality is great but the sound is horrible. Also if you plan to use the ATSC tuner for digital local channels? I am serious about this.. It takes a whole 3-5 full seconds to change a channel. Slow and horrible tuner. Plus compared to my plasmas the picture motion tends to have motion blur. Picture quality is great compared to the plasmas I seen. Nice slim gloss black piano finish.

So if you want a cheap 46" LCD with a nice picture then Sears is the place to wait in line this holiday. Just remember the plus and minus I talked about and value it for yourself. Good luck but I am going to return this tv tomorrow and buy another plasma. :) Just not my cup of tea.

I usually am one of the nice, friendly sears employees on this forum. However, if a manager or lead told you this, he/she should be fired. That is bull, because we will be doing no sort of price matching, price adjusting, or anything on BF. Especially in the electronics department. That department gets so swamped there usually are employees from refrigerators that aren't busy helping other customers helping in electronics.

As for that Sharp, total PoS.

Sharp (http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_05771148000P)

It is a close comparison with a slightly better picture quality than this Vizio

Vizio (http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_05771948000P)

Our associates were told to put the 47 inch Vizio and the 47 inch Proscan on each side of that Sharp so the Sharp would look good. A name brand TV should not be compared to pieces of crap. The troubling thing is, it fits in perfectly.

If I were you OP, or anyone who wants to try this, get it in writing, because that manager isn't saying something legit.

Yep... I worked at Sears for 5 years while in high school/college and I can tell you that the manager fed you a big ole pile. Unless you guys are buddies and the manager is doing you a favor, it aint gonna happen.

First of all, there are no price matches done during BF. Its one of those rules. Second, unless things changed recently, Sears only offers 10% of the difference on competitor price matches, not on their own price matches.

If you get it, more power to you. Just dont be surprised if they dont do it and then hit you for a 15% restocking fee when you go to return it.

This Sears had the Samsung LCD next to the Sharp. I would have to say the Samsung killed the Sharp at stock settings. But then I adjusted the picture settings and I made the sharp look PAR with the Samsung. I am one of those people that really are crazy about great picture quality and the sharp when tweaked is great. The down fall and the only reasons for return is the ATSC tuner change is real slow. Then in my extra quiet bedroom it tends to echo a slight whining sound.

This would make a great tv for Satillite or Cable users. My PS3 looks great and my pc hooked to this tv also looks wonderful. Nice computer screen in 1080p quality. :) So just a couple downfalls but nothing for a person putting this in a large room and using a differant video source than the ATSC tuner.

I took a chance on a Sharp 42 inch from Costo. Sounds like the "little brother" to this 46 inch but not sure. Anyway its $799 for the 42 inch.

The great thing is... 90 day return and no restocking fee. So if I don't like it... I carry it back to my local Costco and get a full refund (they even refund shipping if it was shipped to you).

Not sure whether I'll like it... I have Samsung LCD about 1.5 yrs old that I like. Was considering Plasma for my 2nd office TV (the one coming), but didn't get a good deal. The Sharp was worth trying because of the return policy Costo offers.

If I don't like it as a secondary TV, it goes back and I'll check out after BF Plasmas. But my Samsung LCD is fine for me, so maybe the Sharp will be ok.

Sorry buddy hate to burst your bubble but the one you are talking about with the 5 HDMI and 4ms Response time is the LC46D85U

The one that is going to be 899 on bf is the LC46SB54U, which I hear has major banding issues, I wouldn't get near that tv.

That 40in Samsung LN40A500 isn't too bad though, it's an awful like the 530, we hooked one up and played GH World tour on it. 799 on BF, pretty good deal.

My store has 10, so make sure you are there relatively early if you want one.

I bought that Sharp yesterdad but the Image HD quality is bad. it's look like a Standard definition. I have an Olevia 37' and the quality image is excelent. maybe I need to do some Picture adjusments.

I put both the Sharp 46' and the Olevia 37' one near the other and the Olevia look spectacular and sharpo, to bad looks like ghos or something as it.

Can any body tell me the Setting on the menu? maybe I'm bad, because i'm planning to return this TV now.

Thank you guys
