Any thoughts on the 22" Acer Monitor? $129.99 seems like a pretty good deal!
This seems like the best ad I've seen so far. Anyone else with me on this one?

after 25 instant savings
and 50 mail in savings
= 129.99
so its 50 AR. lols.

Screw Office Depot. I thought the ad was great until you really see their false advertisement. A bunch of the computers have full computers shown, and the prices ON the monitors. Then what does it say in small print?! "Monitor sold separately." That's total BS and a really slimy way to advertise. I just completely decided not to buy from them.
Intrepid.

How in the world is that false advertising? Nearly every company does the same thing in their ads year round. If it clearly states, "Monitor sold separately" it's not falsely advertising anything especially since they put a price for the monitor on it too.

Should be, those are pretty much valid on anything.
Acer looks like this one. (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009145) Not bad for $130, I paid that much for 19" 2 years ago.

Use the BB $50 off any Garmin GPS unit coupon. OD takes them. The coupon has been on SD for a few weeks now. I just used it over the weekend and they said no problem. $42.xx otd for the Nuvi 200 model. PM me if you can't find the coupon.

HP 15.4" 3 GB Memory 160 GB Hard Drive Notebook Model G50-112NR - $349.99
Can you give a little more info on this? Is this a rebate? What kind of processor? Extensive Google'ing and browsing HP's website denotes no such model exists.
It'd be a pretty sweet deal if it was a dual core without a rebate. Could be the best laptop deal I've seen thus far.
Thanks.

The 22" Acer LCD -- that's a (what was formerly normal) 4 x 3 ratio monitor? I'll have to think about that since I'd prefer a 4x3 though I can't say i really need another monitor.
Would love to learn more about the laptop for $350. I assume that's an AR price? This is the first dual core laptop that I've seen to come with 3 GB of RAM for under $400.

The ad scan is pretty blurry, but I'm pretty sure it says $200 instant savings and $50 rebate.
The processor is an Intel Dual-Core T3200 which is a 2.0 GHZ / 1MB L2 Cache / 667mhz FSB processor.

It's an Intel Pentium Dual Core T3200 (2.0GHz). The price is $599.99 - $200 instant savings - $50 mail-in rebate = $349.99.

Yeah, a $50 Office Depot rebate...:shake:
My simple $12 rebate was stuck in at processing step for more than 6 month and was finalazied after many calls. :shake:
But they didn't immediately send it to me, it was simply moved to the next step and took 3 more months to come.

^ OD can be a bunch of idiots with rebates... A few months ago, I bought some Sharpies for FAR ($4.49). Mailed it in, and after 2-3 weeks I called to ask why my rebate status was denied. Some genius had entered my quantity purchased as 2 instead of 1... Took another 3 weeks to get the check! :shake:
Thanks, OP... Not too shabby!

So any info on the 23 inch LCD TV?
Samsung's website doesnt list a 2333HD and I can't find any info on it. More details are appreciated. I wanted a 24 inch 1900 resolution monitor and it seems this is the only one for BF this year....
Edit: SO I found the specs on it from a PDF brochure thing and its a 16:9 the 1920 x 1080 res. monitor Built-in DTV(DVB) Tuner, Component, 2HDMI, CI Slot.
Now the debate is since I game I want a 16:10 instead of 1080p....if it worth it?

Generally, if it's listed as an LCD TV, its resolution will not be as high as an LCD monitor. Samsung's 2353 23" LCD TV only has a 1366x768 resolution, and I'm guessing this one will be no different.

I work for OD most stores will be open at six am, and I've worked for several different OD stores and most of the time they have low quantity 3-8 notebooks.. if you want a laptop then u should get there about an hour earlier, if you just want flash drives, memory, DVD’s CD's or anything that is less than 100$ then don’t camp.. The deals are for two days as usual and most stores wont ran out on stuff like that
FYI
For all of you who don't like rebates here is a website 4 u
https://www.web-rebates.com/officedepot/index.asp?SID=null&odserver=www.officedepot.com
You can always track bate through there the retail stores can’t do anything, and tbh I've had a couple rebates and they have been fast.. If it is store rebate u get it within a month if its manufacture rebates = good luck

Oh, for someone who asked about limit...its not 5, usually 1 AR from OD , staples might have be 5 or 10 AR. But, i doubt on BF you can walk off with 5 or 10 items with that price.

How is nobody talking about the HP lappy for $350? Is there something wrong with it? I can't wait to get one!
I'm also trying to learn more about it but it seems to be receiving little attention on this forum.

For the HP $350 laptop or toshiba 14" $490 laptops, can I buy now and pricematch later(On BF day)?
I do not know about the Toshiba, but the $349 HP is exclusively for the BF sale, so it will not be on shelves until then.

I'm trying to figure out why the SD1100 Canon Cam is $200 on BF and I went into the store today and it was $170 on sale. Doesn't make sense, but I guess people will come in thinking everything is on sale and just buy stuff-well, at least that's probably their hope.

There isn't a lot of information out there. After an hour of talking to an OD employee, I managed to procure one of the tickets they will have for them on Friday. It lists pretty much what we already know: 15.4" Wide bright (shiny) screen, 160GB HDD, 3GB ram, Intel Dual Core T3200 processor. It does say that it has an HDMI port, so I must assume that the graphics card is decent, at the least. The price of $349 is after a $50 MIR, so that is something to keep in mind. It looks like it is the best deal out there- especially since you wont have to camp out for 12 hours like you would at BB or CC.
Plus, if you sign up for their Worklife Rewards Visa, you get a $20 rebate on your next statement, no payments until next January, and 5% back. You can't beat it.

Use the BB $50 off any Garmin GPS unit coupon. OD takes them. The coupon has been on SD for a few weeks now. I just used it over the weekend and they said no problem. $42.xx otd for the Nuvi 200 model. PM me if you can't find the coupon.
Hey, I must be blind because I haven't been keeping track of things.... but how in the world did you find the Garmin nuvi 200 for $42 otd?? I see the $50 coupon from BB would make it about $90ish, but the cheapest price I can find on it now online @ OD is $179... Is the deal still available...am I overlooking something super obvious?! TIA!!

Thanks for the info. I agree that part of what makes it hot is that it's probably possible to get by merely camping out for two hours before the store opens. I take it that the $20 rebate on the Visa statement is from the 5% off the $400 (and not a $20 rebate for signing up plus another $20 off from 5% off)?
Is the T3200 a decent processor? I have no idea.

The $20 rebate is a special incentive they have right now to get people to sign up, but the 5% back is a normal rebate that they have for OD purchases. I believe you get 10% back everyday if it is ink, toner, or the like.
Here is the information I could find on the T3200: Cores: 2 | Clock Speed: 2.00 GHz | Front Side Bus: 667 MHz | L2 Cache: 1 MB | Silicone Technology: 65nm (Taken from Intel's website - http://www.intel.com/Consumer/Learn/Notebook/pentium-dual-core-detail.htm?iid=learn_proc+pentium_notebook)
It looks like it is in the mid-to-upper area for the Intel Pentium Dual-Cores, with the ones at the bottom clocking at 1.73 GHz with 533MHz for the FSB, and the top performers having 2.2 GHz / 800 MHz. It looks like it is a decent performer for your everyday tasks, but I do not know how it would hold up to gaming. Since it has an HDMI slot it almost has to be pretty quick with media tasks, but I can't say for sure.

I'm not sure which TV is the best deal
-23" Samsung at OD for $280
-26" Westinghouse at Target for $300
-22" Sharp with DVD player at BB for $350
-20" Sylvania at Kmart for $200
I could get by with cheap 20" but I don't know about the Sylvania brand. Bigger is better, but I've heard the Westinghouse has problems with humming.

Seagate 1 TB FreeAgent External Hard Drive - $129.99
Seagate 500 GB FreeAgent External Portable Hard Drive - $129.99
1 TB and 500 GB same price?
The main difference in these drives is that the 1TB drive is physically larger and requires an external source of power, such as a typical DC 9V or 12V wall plug. They are usually designed to sit on your desk next to your computer as more of a stationary back-up device.
The 500GB drive is more compact and would run off of the power from the USB or firewire plug. It is more portable and would more easily fit into a laptop bag to carry with you.
Hope this helps! :)

I already have a 22" Samsung LCD monitor for my computer which I love and was looking for a similar sized tv for my bedroom. I don't mind losing 3" to the Westinghouse if the Samsung is of much better quality and features but at the same time $20 more isn't that bad of a price difference to go with a bigger tv.
P.S. Has anyone shopped BF at an Office Depot before? Do people actually wait in line? I've done BestBuy the past 2 years and had to camp from the night before but this year I wanted to take things easy. lol

I can't seem to figure out how to attach the coupon. In stores the Nuvi 200 is now Approx. $90. If you search SD for the Nuvi 200W you'll find that someone posted the sku number for the Nuvi 200. The Best buy coupon is also attached to that thread.

Not really sure, although I may try to get there before opening this year to snag the Acer desktop. I've read in other places from others and emplyees who say that getting there an hour or so before opening is usually sufficient. I have shopped there on Black Friday in the past and the thing with them is that they usually have VERY limited quantities (the ad will say something like minimum of 3 per store, etc. and they usually don't have very many more than the minimum) of most of the Black Friday deals and they almost always have one or more mail in rebate per item (which turns some people off to their deals).
On the bright side though, they usually don't open until 6 on Black Friday so that gives you time to try to snag some deals at Best Buy, Circuit City, etc. and use Office Depot as a backup.
Anybody know the SKU # for SanDisk Ultra II 4GB CF card ($14.99)? I checked OD's site and found two (637630 & 952245), not sure which one is on sale on BF.
Edit: The official BF flyer is up and got my answers there. It's 637630.

The ones in my area said that yes, they do. They did say that the vouchers are only good until "the line dies down," so you can't get one and come back later to purchase the item. It seems silly, but I'm sure they have their reasons.
Also, Office Depot's website now has the ad up. You can't make everything out perfectly, but it is a lot better than the ad scan that has been floating around.

I was at od today and bought the hp j4680 to go with my hp laptop, I bought sunday, that had a $70 rebate if purchased together. The manager did a return and rebuy for me so they are both on the same receipt and the rebate will work. Now if I go back on sat will they refund me the difference from $129 to the sale price that day of $74? They took the tags off the shelf to buy the printer but a nice employee went in the back and got one for me.

ok guys, we got played! :(
the 22" Monitor is definitely 129.99 after rebate.
after looking at the blurry words, this is what i think i saw:
in store price 179.99
after 25 instant savings
and 50 mail in savings
= 129.99
so its 50 AR. lols.
I got screwed on $60.00 rebate on the last time with this deal. I am going after OD for the rebate now.

I thought so too, but I'm glad I didn't take my chances and went to get in line at the store instead. At about 2:45am we went to OD and we were #15 and #16 in line. My DM wanted the samsung 23" and the $350 laptop. They ended up having 20 $350 laptops so we were able to get one of those and they only had TWO (even though it said minimum 3 per store) of the Samsung 23". We claimed the only two Samsung Tickets and got our stuff and left. It was a wonderful thing as everyone wanted the $400 Element. We got many oooo's and ahhhhs as they saw us holding our 1080p 23" LCD's. :D

Oh well still got a laptop at another store at 10:20 after someone did not redeem their ticket.

Hmm..I don't know if I'm right or what ever..but that one Toshiba laptop that was for $479.99..it says that the in store price was $504.99 but the savings was for $150, so would the $125 already be added to the in store price of $504.99 and they advertise the $25 MIR to be the final price of $479? It is also like that for the other laptop deals..

I bought the $349 HP on Friday. I only waited in line for 90 minutes. I guess I got lucky since there was a Best Buy in the same shopping center. Then my luck ran out as my unit has serious issues. It keeps rebooting every a few minutes as the power supply seems to cut out for a brief second. I am just wondering if anyone else has similar problems or I got a lemon.
(Yes, I will be returning or exchanging it at OD)
Can anyone please post the SKU for the acer 22" X223WBD so that I can locate the rebate for it. Seems like I have lost the rebate form for it. Any help is appreciated. TIA. Please PM me if you have the SKU number. The reciept that I have shows the UPC number and I am not able to find the rebate for that item. Thanks a lot.

I didn't buy this monitor, but the SKU should be on the box if you still have it.
I washed my receipt and mail in form. However, you can still see on the receipt that I bought the HP 349.99 laptop (actually 399.99 in store).
I'm going to go ahead and try to get the $50, but I can't find the offer code that's required at http://www.web-rebates.com/officedepot.
I have the SKU, FR956UA#ABA, and the model #, G50-112NR, but I need the offer number. Any help is much appreciated!
