rather than teaching children, curing cancer, or teaching children to cure cancer. i will occupy countless hours of time while on the clock at work with it. likely working on webdesign or playing world of warcraft, assuming this model can push it...but anything's better than this eniac i'm using now.

I have 2 sons who went out on Black Friday at 8 pm to wait on line outside of Best Buy. One son really needed a laptop, as his is 5 years old and its hinge is broken and only one thin wire holds the two sides of the thing together. Besides that, the screen is about to go on the fritz as there is a blue line of pixels that runs vertically right through everything he views.

They were about the 25th on line at Best Buy, and were able to purchase one item each. One thing they bought was a Canon camera for a coworker friend who is about to go for a month's tour of Australia. They also bought a laptop! But the two of them agreed that they wanted to give it to ME for Christmas! I am a struggling web designer/flash animator who is having trouble finding work, and don't have the spare cash to purchase a laptop for myself. I have gone on interviews and brought a binder with printouts of what my artwork and websites look like, but it is really lame to say,"this part here in the website is animated -- Really!!" I am thrilled that my sons want to give it to me, but I am really sad that the one son that slept out in the cold while waiting on line at Best Buy didn't get the laptop for himself...
