try TDK 50pack for $7.99 at Office Depot or TDK 100 pack for 15.99 at Office Max... They are the best deal I can see so far.

I believe RadioShack is running the same deal on TDKs as well.

I just ordered some from RadeioShack.com for $7.99 for 50 pack. Over $25 and you get free shipping. (Beats having to go to the store.)

If you're still in the market for blank DVD's. try this site out. It's great for finding cheap DVD's on Amazon.

To each his own, but I'd rather not d*ck around to try saving $0.15/disc and either wondering about the burn quality or having to quality scan each disc.

I bought 400 Verbatims earlier this year from buy.com using a 15 off 75 coupon. Roughly 15$ per 100

OP, I'll answer your question...
The best places to get DVD media are 1. OFFICE MAX and 2. OFFICE DEPOT. Don't bother at Best Buy or Circuit City, not even Staples although they are a little more competitive than the other two electronics emporiums.
OFFICE MAX routinely puts their 100 Pack Verbatim DVD+/-R on sale for $20. That's a great price for great quality blank DVDs. I've burned well over 200 Verbatims, haven't had a single problem.
OFFICE MAX also routinely has TDK media for $20 or less. TDK is a notch below Verbatim, but also very reliable. Other brands OFFICE MAX carries and advertises are Magnavox, but I would not try this. Stick with the other two--Verbatim and TDK--they are the same price when on sale and have sterling reviews.
OFFICE DEPOT also has good prices on blank DVDs, like 100 Pack Maxell for $18-20 when on sale.
BestBuy/Circuit City/Staples usually sell the same brands for anywhere from $22-25 per 100-pack on sale. Of course, once a year during the Black Friday sales Best Buy may sell 100 pack generic DVDs for like $7-10 bucks, but for the rest of the year, stick with Office Max and Office Depot.

I got 2 100 packs of Philips DVDs at CompUSA for $10 each. I've already used 10 of them, and they work great!

You need to be asked a few questions first -
What are the DVDs for -
1. making copies of say movies - Need good quality DVDs
2. Regular TV shows, i.,e NCIS etc or even STARZ,SHOW,HBO movies - not as good quality needed.
I feel #1 need better quality and subject to the method being used (Computer, DVD recorder) certain cheap ones may work in one (computer) and not the other. Example GQ from frys may work in certain recorders but not all. Sony blanks (always more expensive) work in both but do not work in an RCA recorder. Playos work in the sony recorder and computer drive but are not long lasting (but few coasters); picked up from Staples during BFs (down to 3 cents a piece) - not this year though.
Staples, Best Buy have periodic sales of blank Sonys about 21/100, but coupons are around.
NewEgg and some other web sites sell Verbatium (rebates) and Ridetka (always good- but at about $25/100, These places also see some suberb quality brand DVDs, but expensive.

There are many many brands out there to choose from and only a handful of actual manufacturers of blank media. When people ask me what brand to get or which type to buy, I only recommend quality or Grade-A discs. These quality discs are hard to find at big retailers like BB, CC, Frys, Etc. as they carry mostly Grade B to Grade D discs. Fry's house brand 'GQ' for example are cheap $$, but are Grade D discs so have a high failure rate, low quality and poor data longevity.
If you don't mind spending a few $$ more, you can order some good quality ones online or look for the "Made in Japan" near the UPC code (although these are hard to find in big retailers)
Check here: Meritline (http://www.meritline.com/taiyo-yuden-dvd-media.html) for current prices.
If quality is not important to you, then you can buy and discs on sale, but may be disappointed in the long run...
