This is the first I've ever seen this before so I figured I'd post it here.
http://www.hostgator.com/
They have 75% off till midnight tonight.
From the site:
"Host Gator provides Shared, Reseller and Dedicated web hosting solutions. Our services are designed for both beginners and professionals. All of our shared plans include a 99.9% uptime guarantee, 24/7 support and a 45-day money back guarantee."
Pretty good webhosting company. I've used them for awhile now with no complaints.
Coupon code is: black
The coupon works for month to month service but you do get a better deal if you order more in advance. These are the shared hosting plans break down with the deal. It also works on reseller and dedicated servers from what I've seen.

Not really a fan of hosting offers on slickdeals, but I must say, this is one hell of an offer from Hostgator.

Confirmation that it does work with the reseller hosting accounts as well. Tried it with the Diamond Package and the aluminum package @ 3 years and it worked fine.

Anyone know if LunarPages.com has something similar? I'm afraid to upload my backed up website from LunarPages to HostGator. :\

I haven't seen one from them. Looks like they use cpanel so I am assuming you have a cpanel backup. You can move a cpanel backup to any other cpanel server with no issues.
I have moved several to hostgator for my clients(I have a reseller account) and never had a problem

While were on the topic of webhosting, www.Godaddy.com is offering domain registering for 1 domain name for a year for .99 cents. Its a pretty awesome deal to pass up on. Use the code: 99DOMAIN

How did you get 3 years? I only see one.
I went into their live chat and asked. They said you can do it by emailing sales@hostgator.com. They will manually add your account for that time period with the deal on it. It is only valid for one month on dedicated servers though.
From what they said tons of customers are talking about the deal
I may be getting a second account now

I'm a complete newbie at hosting a site, though I've had one for 2 years now. I've used Yahoo! Small Business this whole time, and they're currently charging me 11.95 a month. If I host with these guys, how hard is email to set up? What I like about Yahoo! is that it's easy to set up users and emails (and email aliases) and you can check your email through Yahoo!'s regular email portal.
I desperately want to move away from Yahoo though. Can anyone give me advice on how to port all the content of my current site (built with Yahoo's Sitebuilder tool) and also set up email for like POP or IMAP access? And what the cost will be? Thanks very much!

Thanks, I'm thinking about signing up for 2 of the Copper shared plans. It's cheaper than one gold and you get more bandwidth.

Yahoo is a rip-off :)
creating an email account= http://www.hostgator.com/tutorials/cpanel/hgx3/creating-an-email-account.htm
using webmail= http://www.hostgator.com/tutorials/cpanel/hgx3/using-webmail.htm
setting up pop/imap client= http://www.hostgator.com/tutorials/xskincpanel/cpanel_xskin_OE.htm
and hostgator does free transfers of your sites or you can do it yourself with an FTP client.
They have 24 hour phone and chat support. I'd suggest logging into the chat system on the home page and asking them

Is there a way for current accounts on a month to month basis to take advantage of this or do I have to create a new account. Would love to take advantage of 75%off and pay a year or two in advance.

It looks to be new customers only. It takes away the option when ordering if you are an existing client.

I signed up with hostgator through this site (http://hostgator50.com) about 9 months ago and got an additional $40 off. It looks like the same kind of deal and makes the 75% off even sweeter.

Hi guys,
I'm really new to all of this. What is the benefit of having dedicated IPs, such as that found in Hostgator's business plan. If I want to have a few domains that I hope to build up traffic on, will the baby plan be good enough for me? What are the main differences between the baby and business plans?
Thank you so much in advance,
A confused newbie

I signed up for the Copper Shared Hosting deal for a year. Then I emailed sales like OP suggested. They said that it wasn't possible to get a 3 year deal and I asked them twice. So now I just might cancel.

I've been with Hostgator for almost 2 years now on the Baby plan and they've been rock solid. I highly recommend them for the "cheap" host category. Too bad this is for new customers only

HostGator is an excellent hosting company!
I also highly recommend DreamHost. They both basically offer the same features, however, DreamHost has a 97 day money-back guarantee. ;)
Here's a thread that discusses DreamHost: http://archive.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?t=151376
