There was one up earlier about a free large or extra large pizza, but the coupons were fraudulent and Pizza Hut stopped taking them. If you do a search for Pizza Hut you'll find several threads.

Yes. It's still in Freebies, but locked. And in Coupons, they have some for Domino's.

My sons friend is a manager of a local PH and he said that the HL code( or whatever the code was ) was fraudulent but the Etrade coupons were valid BUT limited to one per family.
I dont know how they will keep track because the coupon is good until '06 but thats what he said.
He also said the HL coupon was being passed around on a site called FatEddy. (but Im assuming he means Fatwallet)
And, that Corporate sent a fax to the franchises to alert them to the fraud.

Yea, they were alerted to the HL coupon by Holly_01, a slickdeals poster who works at pizzahut corperate. She should be banned IMHO, she has no place here and obviously just is out to ruin deals.

There was no fraud about it, the code was a valid coupon and accepted by their ordering system.

Why is the Etrade coupon locked, if it's authentic?

Hey, wait a minute.. no bashing!!
Fraud is Fraud and if she or anyone alerts a company to outright fraud, you cant blame them. Anyone can photoshop any coupons and make a deal become a steal, but is it honest? Hell no.. and its straight up wrong.
Just because a coupon ( or deal) is found on SD's doesnt automatically force the company to honor it. And, to get all pissy over it is downright stupid. Why should Pizza Hut go broke because youre too cheap to fork over some cash for a pizza?
Think about it.....If the shoe were on the other foot, how long do you think you would allow someone to outright rip you off??
When will people learn that Slick Deals is a place to find a great deal.. not a place to steal.

Says you.. According to Corporate, they have a different story.
In either case, Pizza Hut says go elsewhere. Theyre not honoring it no more!

JMO here, but possibly because Pizza Hut emailed those coupons to actual ETRADERS and since from what I was told ( see earlier post) they are meant for one per family.
Its obvious that the companies that manufacture coupons like these need a better system. They arent prepared for this-many people to use the coupon and end up shutting down the deals prematurely.

EDIT: Read Jen's email above about PH manager and etrade. I had not heard that, but I'm not "that" much in the know.
Respectfully, I disagree. I haven't heard anything officially about that coupon being valid or invalid. I do know that the coupon points out that it is for Pizza Hut Shareholders, which there is no such thing. Besides, PH would give away gift cards that would be mailed or if emailed a gift card number. They would never send out something that could be printed out on a personal printer. Also, there would have to be a coupon code on it for the franchisees to send back to get credit which this coupon doesn't.
BTW, I have posted many slick deals under a different id. Fraud is something else. If this wasn't fraud, I'll take the punishment, but in this case it is. Why not photoshop up a coupon for a free Toyota and see if it works?

If the coupon was photoshoped, I guess it was pure coincidence that it was accepted by their online ordering system along with plenty of other coupons.

There are two different coupons being talked about here so don't get your panties in a twist on statements. The free large / extra large coupon and the Etrade one. You have to talk about each individually when discussing their status.
The large / extra large one was a valid deal that was mistakenly released to the public and capitalized on by many. It was not fraud (unless the person who posted it on the website did it intentionally), but merely a mistake that cost pizza hut some money. This was a perfectly valid deal which was shut down when found out.
The Etrade one is a different story. We don't know the origins of that one conclusively. It appears as if it might be valid, except it is missing a code. Further the shareholder aspect may be a tip off that it is a photoshop, although it might be refering to holding Yum stock (of course if it is, why doesn't it say that). I don't know corporate policy and whether they would send coupons like this or gift cards (Personally I have only recieved coupons from them before and not code sheets or cards). I don't know anyone who uses Etrade off hand so I can't ask if they recieved something like this. We have one person saying it was 1 per family of etrade users. Another says its photoshop fraud. I don't know which is the correct interpretation. It does say on the coupon that the offer is subject to change or cancelation without notice so if they reject it, you can't be too upset.
