Hi guys! I love this site and am looking to buy a new tv.
One of the tvs that keeps catching my eyes is the 50" samsung 720p plasma, its on sears, bestbuy, walmart and other sites for the exact same price $899.

i am looking to spend maybe 100 dollars less if possible, and am trying to find free shipping, but could maybe pick up in store too. anyone know anything about this model?
i'm not stuck on 1080p and rather like the sound of a 50" plasma. is this a good deal and are there better deals?
thanks so much for your time
james

You can get the 50 a450 on eBay for 1k and with live cashback for 800. They have been having 10% coupons too which brings it down to 700. Very slick. Go check the eBay live cashback thread for more info on how it works. good luck

i got samsung 50" at sears at their F&F event for about 760 + tax.
They had 5% off electronics and 10% off for using sears card.
You might want to keep an eye out for sears F&F event.

of course. the question is: do you want to wait until that happens?

For that matter, 50" at only 720p? If $800ish is in your price range, there are 1080p tv's out there for that much at the same size.

It's just that screen is so big you start to see the difference between 720 and 1080, unless you plan on watching it more then 9 feet away (which is realistic too.) I'm certainly not bagging on the 720's either. It's just one of those "If they are next to each other you can tell the difference" things, but with actual in-home use you'd be hard-pressed to find someone who could tell.
