Circuit City has this hp laptop dv4-1028us for $749 with a $50 mail in rebate. It claims to be Centrino 2 with 320 gb hard drive, 4 GB ram, built in agn. Is this a good deal for this laptop? Also, is this really a Centrino 2 laptop. I would like to get a centrino 2 as I would like to stay as current as I can at around this price range, but I thought the centrino 2 processors were faster than 2 ghz. Here is the link to the laptop.

seems like a decent deal. You can use live.com cashback and save around 23 bucks more on this

This is the same one that Biglots had for $599 plus you get to use the hp mail in rebate to get an extra $50 off.

Well, here is a follow up question. Is there a reason it is so cheap? The specs seem incredible to me for the price compared to the rest that is out there, and again, does anyone know if this is actually a Centrino 2?

The specs are indeed incredibly good. HP is having a lot of sale recently. You can find one of these with a lower lower processor, but still great processor for around $500-$550 if you wait around and snag the deals. I have been trying to snag one, but have been unsuccessful so far. This is the best specs out of all the hp 14" computers that I have been looking on in this price range though.

Also, does anyone know what kind of warranty this has? If I buy it at Circuit City, and they go out of business, do I not have a warranty through HP? I'm not really sure how that works. That is the reason I am worried about buying from them.
